Truly a unique experience. The villa is only rented a few months a year, so you stayed in someone's house (with house cat). Which gives a warm feeling. In my opinion the most beautiful location of the island. great view and close to our favorite restaurant Fish & Blue.

Very comfortable accommodation, the rooms are very clean and the pool is nice. The car is a true plus! We were very well received. The loan and the return of the car is done without a headache and we appreciated being picked up from the airport. Thank you!

This was truly one of the most beautiful houses and locations I've ever stayed in. The house, garden, and pool were so peaceful and breezy, with many special touches. Karine was a warm and communicative host (we especially appreciated the flexible check out). I can't recommend this place highly enough if you're looking for a relaxing and unique experience on Raʻiātea!

We had a great time with the family. Heimanu gave us a nice gift for my birthday. The house is tastefully decorated and everything is thought of. Beautiful floral decorations. The bedding was good and the place was very clean. Kayaks, paddleboards and bicycles are available. The pool was very nice and the cherry on top was that we were able to admire beautiful sunsets. We had a wonderful time at this accommodation! The location on Matira Beach cannot be beat. Easy access to groceries and multiple restaurants, especially with the bikes provided. Beach is just across the street and there was a paddle board available for our use. Guillame went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He even gave us a quick tour of the area with food recommendations on the first day, after picking us up from the ferry dock. If I return, I will definitely book this accommodation again.

Listing is as described and photos. Despite our late booking (the day before our arrival), Lafie made herself very available and arranged for us to have the accommodation before the indicated time. We had a pleasant stay, the two bathrooms with integrated toilets are really a plus when there are several people in the accommodation. Access with a city car is not ideal but otherwise everything was perfect.

There are no words to describe our stay! Paradise! In addition to being welcoming and caring, Johann shared his passion with us! We were able to discover the creation of pearl jewelry and even create our own bracelet/necklace! The children were able to pierce their pearl! A unique moment, an exchange that will remain engraved! Arranged for taxi pick up and drop off in viatape for the navette out to the airstrip. Helped out with a left behind item. Had Louane orient us - fluent English but allowed me to try out my high school French. Walking distance to several restaurants around the corner from local market with baguette and croissants in the morning.

This was our first Airbnb experience, and my wife and I truly enjoyed our relaxing stay at this lovely home with its private setting and stunning surroundings/views. Every morning we took our coffee out to the cute beach hut to drink in the ocean view and each night we savored the sunset with a glass of wine. We liked that our hosts were so responsive to our messages and shared plenty of information about the house and the area. We also loved being close to Fare town and the Huahine Yacht Club, which became our go-to place for a great, laid-back meal with a killer view. Our only complaints--and two things guests should be aware of when planning a stay here--were the condition of the access road, which had massive, water-filled potholes that posed a challenge to our petite rental car and the presence of numerous tiny ants throughout the house. Fortunately, neither one of us is bug-phobic, but they were an annoyance. Still, we would return here in a heartbeat just for the view.

We were a group of 4 friends in our 50’s who stayed here for a week. It was a beautiful bungalow. Our favourite part was having dinner on the deck at sunset and all of the aquatic life right under our bungalow. Our husbands caught several beautiful fish but threw them back! We were also treated to an Eagle Ray swimming by gracefully the other morning. The floats, kayak and boogie board came in handy as did the life jacket. The host was extremely responsive and pleasant. We had a fabulous time. Thank you so much !

Samuel is super friendly and kind, we felt very well looked after and his local recommendations were very helpful. Samuel was also very generous to us and without a doubt the best Host we’ve ever had! We loved staying here and found location was great to either go to Matira or town Mauruuru Roa

accommodation in accordance with the description 500 meters from shops and restaurants. they came to pick us up and bring us back to the ferry, which is very pleasant and practical. We thank Vincent and his co-hosts Cloe and Simon for their kindness.

Stayed for 10 days ending in early June 2025. The house is, if anything, a bit larger than we had pictured it beforehand. It was very clean. The view from the large patio in the back is just fantastic - a stunning view of the close sandy beach and the beautiful blue water beyond. A coconut tree sways in the wind just before the beach. There are two private lounge chairs right next to the sand as well. As noted by others the road is close by in the direction opposite the beach. It isn't a busy road by urban standards, but is busy enough that cars can be heard going by semi-regularly. It really didn't bother us and we slept soundly. The climate is humid and the temperature was between 80-84 for our entire stay. The air conditioner worked great, but we needed to use the provided fans to circulate the cool air through the house. Shower was very nice, the rest of the bathroom was little cramped but otherwise in great condition. There is a toilet - we weren't sure when we first booked ;-)

We had a great time, I recommend everything, Claudille is a great host, the location is perfect, the house too, Maybe a small barbecue or plancha in addition would be welcome but otherwise our stay was perfect

The Mati House is in a very nice location close to Fare, where the only supermarket on the island is located. The bungalows are very pleasant, located high up, with a very nice view of the ocean, superb sunsets. Super quiet environment. Comfortable bedding, well-equipped accommodation. Recommended.
