Lake Cabin in the Trees

TamathaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We stayed here to be near Bates college for graduation weekend. We felt right at home! The cabin was warm and inviting... cozy, clean and safe! It was so secluded, with a gorgeous view over the water. We would love to return when we can simply stay in the cabin and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Cobbossee log cabin / post & beam

BenRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I am originally from the area, we traveled there to visit family. So we knew what to expect from Litchfield. The cabin was more than we expected. Larger and more comfortable than the pictures. Comfortable and clean. Would be a great place to stay for two couples with a few small children.

Rustic Ridge

DrewRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Vicki's place is so peaceful, and the access to the kayaks on the pond (a lake where I come from!) is worth the price by itself. We used Vicki's basement as a headquarters for exploring most of the state, and honestly loved the region right around this home most of all. It is absolutely gorgeous, and Farmington is not too far away with some really nice restaurants and hiking. The apartment itself is like a cute little Hobbit house meets mountain cabin. The kitchen was well appointed, and there was a cabinet of board games we enjoyed using. If you are a tall person, be advised there are a couple head-knocking beams that I somehow never learned to avoid, but I think most people will be unaffected. That certainly doesn't keep me from giving a high recommendation!

3 Bedroom Camp on the Lake

Linda MarieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was our first experience with Airbnb and we were not disappointed. Even though we did not meet John our host he always responsive to our text and answered any questions we had. From the moment we pulled up to the cabin the view of the lake was awesome. There was plenty of outdoor lawn chairs and a gas grill was provided for our use . The cabin was supplied with all the amenities needed for the week we stayed there. Appliance’s, bedding, 2 tvs, internet, full kitchen, beach towels, couple of fishing poles, kayaks. My most memorable moment was hearing the loon calls echoing across the water and 2 ducks that would be at the shore each morning. To sum it up our stay was peaceful and quiet and awesome. Thanks John!

The Nubble. Private Island-like Camp

PamelaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
I can’t say enough about this place…the online photos do NOT do it justice! The location is super private, yet not isolated. Having the water on 3 sides, just steps from the door was so calming and beautiful. The decor and furnishings are comfortable, new, and tasteful, with touches of vintage mixed in. The non-potable water, outdoor shower, and composting toilet took a bit of adjustment but after one day I had a routine…we spent almost all of our time outdoors and I think my dog never fully dried out the entire 2 weeks of our stay! Lily was quick to respond with any concerns/questions and I felt very respected. I’ve already booked for next year…
