Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Swanage

The property was perfect, the pictures are lovely and they reflect the quality. The property once there is outstanding and very peaceful. It’s one of those hidden Gem AirBnBs, we loved the stay and will hopefully return.

We loved staying at Sally's annexe for a few days break by the sea. It was so close to a nice sandy and quiet part of the beach, and easy to walk to everything else in the town and seafront. The accomodation was very clean and really well equipped and perfect for the 4 of us. A few books and games, everything you need in the kitchen and a very cool jet bath, which the kids loved! The upstairs room for kids has a low ceiling so fine for our age children (5 and 9) and they loved it, but teenagers might struggle. It really was perfect for our weekend away and would stay again!

We enjoyed our stay again at this lovely house with amazing views. Looking forward to staying there again in August. A peaceful & relaxing place to stay.

We are home after a Mon- Fri half term break at Admiral’s Watch, and we have had a wonderful time. Before we arrived we had clear directions from Nicky along with a really helpful list of recommendations for places to go with the kids. Getting to the property was easy and it was great to have a dedicated parking spot. The area is peaceful and completely beautiful. The small precinct of shops/ restaurants within the terrace was useful and didn’t intrude on our stay at all. The property itself is beautiful and just like the photos- the sea is right in front of the apartment making the views amazing. Nicky has styled the property beautifully and there was plenty of space for us as a family of four plus our dog. Activity wise I would recommend a trip to nearby Hurst Castle, and a meal at the Cliff House restaurant which was a short stroll away. Totally recommended, we had a great stay. Wow! What more can I say! This was such a delightful place and an absolute gem to find. Loved the decor, everything was so tastefully decorated and was absolutely right up our street; the cute private garden was one of our favourite spots. There's nothing negative to say, we wouldn't change a thing. Thank you Laura for hosting us, we would definitely stay here again and hopefully for a bit longer as it's such a good base for exploring whatever your taste might be. We were doing a nature trip this time round but hopefully next time we will get to see more of the fantastic coasts. ❤️

The house would have accommodated my whole family but there were just the two of us, which was the whole point of a few days away for my 77th birthday. It's right in the town centre but is so quiet and peaceful because of its situation. After a number of Airbnb experiences in converted accommodation, the spacious rooms, a bathroom you can move around in and a generous kitchen were very welcome. It's a house that will allow a family to relax, dine around a giant table, enjoy a games room and disappear to watch their choices on numerous TVs. Swanage is charming with plenty of alternative things around to visit or do for all ages. As others have indicated parking in the summer season needs a bit of forward thinking when you have settled in. Anne was a great host to deal with.

What a great space! Amanda has created a wonderful home away from home. We travelled with two small children. Amanda went above and beyond. She set out age appropriate toys and decluttered to ensure a safe space for the little ones. Within walking distance of beaches and shops, the central location makes it easy. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We’ll be back.

Me my partner and dog had a brilliant stay, Barrie and Paula could not have been helpful enough with any issues we had. Would 100% recommend to anyone else looking to stay in the Poole/Bournemouth area. We have no quarms in booking to stay here again.

Great place in a very central location in Weymouth. The flat is located directly at the Weymouth sandy beach and there are plenty of bars cafes and restaurants around. Still, because of its position in the back of the building, the flat is surprisingly quiet. We found the flat in very good condition and very clean with a fully equipped kitchen a big dining/living area, a modern and very clean bathroom and a decent sized bedroom with good bedding. We felt directly at home. Parking in the area is tricky ( which is to be expected given the central location). We parked at an ASDA as long stay option which is an 8-10 min walk but comes at around 5 pounds day using the JustPark app. Very good seafood restaurant directly next door. Would very happily book Nikki’s flat again when in Weymouth!

As a family of 4 we loved our stay in this apartment. It is a very homely apartment with beautiful soft furnishing and time has clearly been spent thinking of all the little things that make a stay comfortable (Full length mirrors, very comfortable beds, hair dryer and straighteners to name a few). All the rooms were spacious, and the view from the bay window of the steam trains provided lovely breakfast bar viewing. The beach and town shops, are literally a 5 min walk, handy to have a parking space for the car especially as we hardly had to use it, there is so much in walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

Beth’ s place is amazing. A calm and peaceful haven. From the thoughtful welcome card to the incredibly kind extra touches like bread, milk and eggs. Beth has created the most fantastic experience for guests. We had a fabulous 8 nights and really recommend this as a perfect place to stay.

Just back from a wonderful stay at Terrys beachside studios apartment we had the most amazing few days,being so close to the beach was wonderful the views were breathtaking.Thank you Terry we will definitely be back.

Our son and partner stayed, they loved it. A delightful flat, so fresh and clean. Lovely views and such interesting artefacts dotted around. Very peaceful too. Mt husband and I are hoping to stay later in the year. Highly recommend it.

Lovely cottage minutes walk from great beach and town centre. Good link for buses to Bournemouth. We would definitely come back to this beautiful place

Very sweet little cottage, beautifully decorated with everything you would need inside of it. Great location, with a nice pub down the road. We would definitely stay here again and recommend for all. The only downside is that it is situated on a busy road so at night you can sometimes hear the cars, but we didn’t mind.

We absolutely loved our stay at Carley’s apartment. All directions and instructions were spot on and easy to follow. The apartment was perfect and the view is stunning, and everything we needed was thought of by Carley, who was also super helpful and friendly. We’d definitely recommend to anyone!

We had an amazing stay, the apartment is beautiful and in such an amazing location. Our kids loved being able to walk to the beach and playground, and we loved having a great coffee shop 30 seconds away. The living room was great for a slump on the sofa after a busy day. Parking at the pub worked well. Thanks for a great stay!

Lovely stay at Kathryn's flat. Myself and my two small boys spent 2 days here over half term and we had an amazing time. We found parking directly outside, we didn't need to move the car for our whole stay, everything was walking distance. Beach, restraunts, Pier, parks, cinema etc. The flat had all the amenities we needed and it was like a home away from home. I will be sure ti book again next year! Sash

I’ve stayed at this property before many years ago when it was first listed so this was a return trip because of how good it was the first time. It’s great to see its still in exactly the same condition it was all those years ago. Is quite simply one of the most beautiful apartments there is. The location is incredible and it has been decorated with such care and thought. The photos don’t really do it justice even though they are great too. It’s a place you will visit and think “ I would love to live here” Modern with a hint of style overlooking the sea, you can’t really ask for anything more. A lovely touch of being able to check out later was the icing on absolutely wonderful trip. This one isn’t to be missed!
