Vacation rentals with a washer and dryer in Sveitarfélagið Ölfus

Pétur's place was perfect. It is like 20 minutes to downtown. There is a grocery store within walking distance. Cozy and perfect. We spent all evening listening to music and sitting on the couch, recounting our adventures. When we had a scare with parking, Pétur responded almost instantly (despite it being almost midnight). He left books on the table with information and recommendations for all of Iceland. I can not reccomend Pétur and his home enough.

Excellent location - 20 minute walk into the downtown core, and there is a bus stop right out front (the buses are incredibly easy to use!). Great views. Quick walk to Nettó or Bónus to stock up on groceries. The free, easy, open parking situation combined with being located right on the edge of the downtown core make it perfect for visitors who want to spend time in Reykjavik while also having a convenient base for road trips. Nina is a good host. Would stay again!

The communication with Helga was very easy. The apartment was big and spacious and looked like the pictures. Big bathroom with everything you need (even laundry machine and dryer). 20min walk to the city center which is very doable as you walk along the shopping street. Just a shame that the windows were not really clean to enjoy the beautiful sunset from the apartment. Otherwise all was clean and good! Thanks for the nice stay. :)

This spacious and clean apartment was perfect for our last night in Iceland. We walked to dinner and free parking was a nice plus. Everything was exactly as expected.

Sigríður was a lovely host, very quick and flexible. I really liked her apartment. Great landing pad for one or two people.

Die Wohnung war sehr schön, mit allem eingerichtet, was man so braucht. Das Zentrum von Reykjavik ist in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto oder mit dem Bus erreichbar. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in direkter Nachbarschaft. Man sieht von der Wohnung aus direkt die Berge um Reykjavik und wir haben auch an einem Abend die Nordlichter von der Terrasse aus genossen. Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohlgefühlt und Eggert war immer hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich. Bei unserer Ankunft haben wir frisches Toastbrot, Käse und Getränke von Eggert im Kühlschrank vorgefunden, was uns sehr gefreut hat. Die Unterkunft ist also unbedingt weiter zu empfehlen, und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Great location and beautiful town with multiple walks available. There was a map on the refrigerator that made planning a walk easy.

Fabulous property and perfect for our family of five. Very comfortable, we felt right at home, loved the furnishings and cozy beds. The location was very convenient to making day trips, close to groceries, and an easy drive to downtown Reykjavik. Nice views from the balcony, super quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Beyond our expectations! The house was perfect , clean, peaceful and felt like home. The host is so friendly and helpful and helped us feel settled right away. The Views were unbelievable! The Location was so nice for us as we were only in Iceland for 5 days but we got to visit so many places from Selfoss. I would go back in a heartbeat ! Hard to imagine it looking better than the pictures... but it was. beautiful, comfortable, amazing ambience.

We were absolutely amazed when we walk in to the house. Hjordis’s house is even nicer than in to the photos! House was very stylish, clean and cozy and with all little details which were waiting there for us we were really amazed. There were also provided everything you should need during your stay here. Also instructions was very clear so we didn’t have a problem with anything. It was also great location for our shorter Icelandic trip and we catch everything we wanted to see from there.

Gudrun’s home is really lovely. We travelled with little kids and is perfect for families seeking a comfortable and memorable stay. With a well equipped kitchen, it’s easy to prepare home-cooked meals, while the open living spaces offer plenty of room for everyone to relax and unwind. Thoughtful touches, cozy decor, and essentials including crib, washer/dryer, private parking make it an ideal place. The home is a quick drive to the town of Selfoss , and practical location to explore the south coast. The only downside is that there is a cemetery across from the house, but overall a great home. Gudrun is a great host - friendly, responsive, and checked in if we needed anything during our stay. This was the perfect stay for our family and would definitely recommend.

A beautiful and peaceful place in a neighborhood of new construction, far enough away from the crowd and tourists downtown but close enough to get there in 20min by car when desired. Easy access to the Golden Circle. Was perfect for my family and having two bathrooms was particularly nice. Communication was always quick and excellent.

The host was incredibly friendly and responsive, even leaving us a handwritten note and it was such a thoughtful touch. also the kitchen was spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed, which made it easy to settle in and feel at home. Being escaped from the coldness of iceland, heating worked perfectly, and the cozy, warm atmosphere made the place feel welcoming and comfortable after a day of exploring. The location was in a peaceful neighborhood, and the house was spacious, giving us plenty of room to relax. Staying here made our Iceland experience even more memorable !! Highly Recommended for those who want home-like airbnb. it has EVERYTHING 👍

My husband and I stayed with Asta Soley near the end of our Iceland trip and we greatly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is very spacious with a lovely kitchen and the location is perfect for exploring the surrounding areas. Blackout curtains worked great with the amount of sunlight. Host was also super quick to respond with any questions we had! Would for sure stay here again.

Svært sentralt i forhold til det vi skulle. Anbefaler å leie bil, da ligger flere ting kun 5-10 minutter unna. Kjørte Golden Circle, som var svært vakkert, særlig da vi var så heldig å ha sol hele dagen. Nærme sentrum. Enkelt å finne fram med bil, da det er godt merket.

We loved our stay at Margret's! The location was perfect for all the things we had planned for our time there. Also Margret was proactive and checked in on us when the Icelandic weather was moving in. We appreciated her concern and advice! We would definitely stay there again!

Our family of three had a great time staying at Hronn’s house and exploring the beautiful south coast of Iceland. Hronn provided us with a baby crib and high chair and it was a perfect place for our 1.5 year old to rest, eat and play! The location is conveniently located in the charming town Selfoss, where we can walk to town center and get dinner, ice cream and groceries. We highly recommend future travelers to stay with Hronn!
