Colorful textiles and eclectic art objects collected from around the world enliven the farmhouse interiors, where leafy greens and flowers fill each room. The farmhouse is set in a secluded area just a short drive away from the quaint town of Stellenbosch, ripe with many fruit orchards and wine vineyards—some date as far back as the 1650s. Foodies would be wise to pit stop at Foliage, an award-winning restaurant listed as one of the “World’s 50 Best” restaurants. Own transport is recommended, but Uber is available if needed, guests use them often successfully. Gay friendly. Perfectly located.

Blissful hideaway in the Stellenbosch mountains

Almond cottage is positioned above a dam in the heart of the Banhoek conservancy. It is a light, modern cabin with direct access to endless hiking and the finest mountain biking trails in the western cape. Although it is styled as a one bedroom, two person cabin, there is a queen sized open pod attached to the living room which can sleep 2 children or an extra guest and can be made up for small extra fee. Almond cottage is set back from the lake and enjoys views of farmland and mountains.

Private entrance, private courtyard with seating area and braai / barbecue outside. 2 bedroom Flat, with 2 queen size beds. The bathroom has a shower , we use rain water for showers, toilets, dishwasher and washing machines. Open plan kitchen with living area and fireplace. Gas stove top, electric oven, dishwasher and washing machine. Wifi available, netflix and dstv. Off street parking.
