Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Stalos

The place was great. Location was perfect for us: close to some true gems food wise, beaches, wineries, etc. We loved it. We stayed 1 week, so we truly got a chance to enjoy it. Was also able to yoga in the morning with a view on the olive trees. All the little attentions made us feel welcomed.

Konstantinos and Stacey's apartment is really highly recommended. And a great starting point to explore the western part of Crete. Maleme is a sweet village with super nice people and you have everything on site if you don't want to drive far for a day. In the apartment we immediately felt very comfortable and even if it is a little smaller, it is so well furnished that every room is used sensibly and also in the kitchen everything you need for everyday needs is available. We lacked nothing. Konstantinos and Stacey were super sweet in communication and responded quickly to any questions. We were also very happy about the lovely welcome with wine, raki and welcome cards - and could directly enjoy a drink in the evening on the balcony. We had a great stay and would come back again and again.

That was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, little activity. Original taverna within walking distance and authentic food. 2 minutes by car to the supermarket. The apartment is spacious with everything you need. Stelios waited for us and explained exactly the way. A small repair would be done immediately. We thank you for the nice time and the delicious oranges from the associated garden.

The accommodation is of very high quality. Everything is spotlessly clean and it is very spacious and comfortable. The outside is incredible and the photos can’t do it justice. The patio is really comfortable as is the outside dining / bbq area as is the grassy lawned area. A lot of choice as how you want to relax. The nearby beaches are great and there are lots of places to eat nearby. We very much enjoyed Chania which is a short distance away. We drove there but the bus stop is only a couple of minutes walk away from Sandy’s place. We plan to visit Crete again and we will definitely be looking to book Sandy’s Boutique when we do.

Stamatis is the best host we’ve ever encountered at an Airbnb—he personally welcomed us at the door of his place even though we arrived late at night. Had wine, fresh oranges from his trees and coffee for us. He is super knowledgeable of the outdoor activities and gave us great suggestions for restaurants and things to do. He is the epitome of Cretan hospitality. Even meeting us on our last day to hand deliver a jar of honey from his own bees. His home in Fournes feels far away tucked in a quiet old neighborhood, and yet it’s so close to so much to do—the botanical garden and amazing restaurant, the hiking in Lakki, and only 20 min from bustling Chania. Stamatis is beyond special—and anyone would be lucky to stay in his house which has been a part of his family for generations.

Great place directly opposite the beach - fantastic if you have toddlers like us. We ended up having dinner at the restaurant next door every day because the kids could play out there while we ate. If you want to visit the most beautiful beaches on Crete, this west coast location is great (though it should be noted that the beach near the house is actually facing north, which means it is thankfully not frequented by tourists). The host is very friendly and willing to help with any issues. The airbnb was very well equipped and prepared for our visit (including items we would not ordinarily expect like fruit, cake, and even a dinner on the first night - though we obviously knew about it based on previous reviews). We would come back here in a heartbeat!

Wonderful stay in a serene environment. Beautiful view towards the sea, nice swimming pool and large, tastefully decorated rooms. We were really able to unwind here. You usually need a car to visit restaurants or nearby villages. No problem for us, we just enjoyed the peace and quiet.

A place to feel good – we weren't here for the second time for no reason! The accommodation is clean, well equipped and ideally located – you are on the beach in a few minutes, but still quietly and relaxed. It was already our second stay, and this time we felt completely comfortable. A very special thank you to Vagelio: She is incredibly warm and helpful. When I suddenly got sick, she immediately supported us – with as much care as if we were family. This is not a given. 🥰 We highly recommend the accommodation and will definitely be back!

A lovely place in a cute village, surrounded by olive trees. A gorgeous view from the terrace. The house manager communicates very well, with fast, clear and friendly instructions. Special mention: the owners Elena and Michail also run a delightful restaurant 30min away. It is well worth going, for the food, the view, but most importantly to meet with them! They have been sooo incredibly welcoming and it was a treat to have a chat with them both. I definitely recommend

It was a perfect place! George and family were very welcoming! Our daughter was even allowed to play upstairs with his children! Apartment was nice, spacious and very clean! With large balconies (with fantastic views) and a spacious garden that was perfect for our 4 year old daughter. From the garden, we got lettuce, eggs, sheep's milk and olive oil. Close to the beach, nice restaurants and hiking trails. Worth repeating! We enjoyed it :).

Hidden gem! Loved this home, literally two minute walk to Golden Beach. Katerina is so sweet (she met us in-person, had local restaurant recommendations, and even provided a bottle of wine). The home was perfect for our group of 6 (great value for the money, too). Would 100% come again!

Stavros was fantastic, as was the history of this wonderful place. Rethymno was a beautiful town and we explored everywhere on foot. We decided on walking in the morning and then having a late lunch (each lunch was fantastic) and walking back up the hill to have a light supper on the deck at sunset. Beautiful and thank you so much for the care you put into your house to make it a wonderful experience.

We had a very pleasant stay with our 4 month old baby. The hosts where very accommodating and overall the apartment is well equipped. Location wise its super close to nice beaches and to the lovely villages around Vamos. Also Chania is easily reachable by car. All in all very recommended. Only downside were the sheets, but its typical for greece. I guess we are spoiled with our egyption cotton/satin fitted sheets🤣

We stayed with Evienia for a month with our little baby and had a great time. The apartment is super cozy and has everything you need. The view is fantastic and you can easily explore the west of Crete from here. There is a parking space right in front of the door. Those who like dogs and cats will get their money's worth here ( our baby loved it). You can also keep the four-legged friends away from the terrace with a gate. Evienia is a hearty person and super cook, who is always easily accessible (on request she also offers very tasty breakfast and dinner). It is a good help with the excursion and food selection with lots of tips and recommendations. We felt very comfortable and always happy to come back, hopefully soon.

We were very happy with the place. The host is super friendly, gave us a lot of valuable tips and helped us with everything we needed help with. The accommodation was well equipped and we also liked the ambience. In addition, the accommodation is beautifully bright and the rooms are large.

Breathtaking views! You will need a rental car to stay here and there was plenty of parking. Chania was about 20 minutes away. Market nearby which we frequented often. Sadly too windy for us to swim! Eva was great and house was clean, comfy beds!

Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. Beautiful Villa with heated swimming pool which was very pleasant during the slightly colder evenings. Very spacious bedrooms with all separate bathrooms and toilets so we never had to wait for the shower to be free! Superhost with lots of tips for activities and restaurants nearby. Even the refrigerator was filled with some drinks and food so that we did not have to go out immediately in search of food. The advocados from Evi's own garden that she had prepared were super delicious. This villa is definitely worth it.

Great place to relax and enjoy this part of Crete. - the big terrace offers a wonderful view to the sea. Very quiet and peaceful. - the house has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. - the communication was one of the best ever met in Airbnb.

Absolutely wonderful! We were so happy with our stay at Villa Sissy. Booking was smooth and all questions were answered. The house is beautiful and the pool is amazing. We had the pool heated (in april) and was perfect. Everyone, especially the kids, enjoyed it. We were 3 generations staying - 4 children, 5 adults. Each bed room nicely decorated with en suite. Sissy as a hostess was welcoming, informative, helpful and friendly. And the welcoming package was amazing. Sissy even managed an extra bed in one room to suit the family. Chef Spyros recommended through cretevillas4u was great! All in all - a great vacation in villa Sissy!

This is a stunning home in a great neighbourhood with a host who is an absolute 10/10! The house was even better than expected as a couple more bathrooms were added recently so there are now four. Host met us at the property, showed us around and gave extensive recommendations for all things Chania and Crete! The pool is just perfect for lounging or a dip in the evening after a hot day exploring beautiful Chania & Crete. I’d suggest you must have a car to get to and from the property as it is in a residential area however I think for Crete in general you need a car. Definitely one of the best Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in, top to bottom. Don’t even hesitate booking this place!

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was perfect—just a short walk to great restaurants and a beautiful, warm, shallow beach that was perfect for our family. The house itself exceeded our expectations. It was incredibly spacious and had more bathrooms than any Airbnb we've ever booked, which made a big difference for our large group. The pool was a lot of fun, even without heating, and the jacuzzi was a great bonus. The place was spotless and truly felt like a hidden gem right in the city—hard to believe you can find something this nice in such a convenient location. Nicolas, the host, was fantastic. He provided a helpful written guide and surprised us with several thoughtful freebies. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again—highly recommended!

We stayed here 2-9th June I have no negatives to say, Mariam was just amazing. So friendly from the moment we arrived. Her home is absolutely beautiful, yes it was big for us but it had everything we wanted and the price was amazing! We had no issues during our stay, welcomed with a beautiful fruit bowl, water and wine and to top it off when we left Mariam gave us another gift of local olive oil! The tennis court was a good place to allow our toddlers to run around happy, amazing space for the kids to be free and play. We went to the local beach 3 days during our holiday, which was only a 15 minute walk, Mariam provided beach toys, spades, umberella and towels which were all appreciated. We have already said but we would definitely come back here, probably with more family as it is such a big lovely space!

Absolutely incredible stay at the villa very opulent from the minute the gate opens . So spacious,5 of us stayed for 1 week and the villa was just perfect.
