Cottage vacation rentals in Stainforth

Myself and my partner came to stay for 2 nights. As soon as we walked in we felt extremely welcomed and at home. Lots of detail was put into the cottage along with homemade cake and fresh apple juice. The surroundings were amazing and hosts had provided maps and allowed us access on the farm. Would 100% recommend and we will definitely be booking to come again. We met both hosts who were very lovely and you can tell they have put a lot of thought into the cottage and hard work. There is generally nothing to complain about, the whole cottage was perfect!

Our second time at the gorgeous Preston Mill Loft and it was just as wonderful as we remember. Super dog friendly, the upgraded hot tub is IMMENSE, comfy bed, welcoming hosts, beautiful scenery, well stocked kitchen. The lot. Cannot recommend highly enough!

What a joy it was to stay in this gorgeous cottage! It was the perfect escape in the Lake District. The property is stunning and the location wonderful. The grounds are so serene and beautiful you almost don’t need to ever leave! The cottage is lovely and quaint and very comfortable. We loved having a log fire at night and the beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed using the hot tub and sauna—felt like a private spa getaway! Marc and Ruth were so responsive and helpful. It was so nice. Hope to definitely come back someday with my family!

We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

Hermitage cottage was in a beautiful situation right on the river Lune. The cottage was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the hot tub, the barbecue and the outdoor seating. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and really enjoyed our stay. Walks around the estate were lovely. It is a lovely base to explore the Forest of Bowland and surrounding areas.

Wonderfully peaceful location. Holly Toft is a very comfortable and welcoming place to stay. We paticularly appreciated how much care was given to ensuring the hot tub was spotlessly clean and freshly filled for our arrival. Kathryn is a superb host who clearly cares a lot about her guests. The field full of adorable lambs to look out on was a delightful bonus! Highly recommend! Thank you Kathryn.

We loved the cottage and the hot tub was an added bonus each day after a long walk. It was very quiet, which we like. The cottage was furnished to a high quality and the bed was really comfy. There is plenty of lovely walks close by. We would certainly visit again.

It was brilliant from start to finish host were fab always attentive and on call location was good as only round the corner there was loads of pubs and food places and only 25 mins to Blackpool really fab and would recommend to everyone

Sally and David’s place was beautiful. It was decorated tastefully and was just the right size for the two of us and our border terrier We were welcomed by a box of goodies for the three of us! There was a great pub and a cafe in Hebden, both within easy walking distance and the surrounding countryside was just lovely.

What an absolute gem we found in Apple House. The pictures really don't do the whole place justice! A cosy, romantic house set in beautiful, serene surroundings. It really was the perfect location for our mini moon! Was lovely to be greeted by the chickens and Russel the dog each morning <3 We were treated to some tasty welcome gifts and the place was spotless, very comfy bed and just the most charming decor. Thank you so much Emma and Craig! We will definitely be returning with more of our family!

Had a fabulous time here for my husband's birthday. cottage was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. It was the little extras from Emma and Greg that made it super special. we'll definitely be back. I would definitely recommend - perfect xxx

We stayed at Lisa’s property for 2 nights in June. The place is gorgeous quirky and well put together. Lisa has accommodated lots of details for her guests in the house, whether you just want to relax or be sporty with walk’s and cycle storage. The house location is stunning with water running and sheep. The area is close to Coniston and all the main lakes as well as Windermere for a 35 minute drive. We toured about the area however there’s lots to do even if you just wish to relax with a book and gaze outside at the hills. There is a local boozer which works out a mile away by car we had an evening meal with starter and drinks. Angela and I wish to thank Lisa for a fantastic few days we plan again to rebook for next year for 3-4 days. Thankyou

Lovely little cottage very clean and well appointed. Bit of road noise but you soon get used to it. Great location for the Dales and Gargrave which is a very attractive village in itself. The cottage is by itself which is superb if you need peace and quiet. A period cottage with character and very pleasant views. Garden is relaxing and self contained. Laura was very efficient and communicated well. I will be returning.

Wow! What a fantastic place to stay. The cottage was a perfect haven for a relaxing holiday. The scenery was breathtaking, and we spent much of the time gazing out of the window at the dramatic weather and wildlife. We wished we could have stayed longer! We had an amazing 2-night stay at Jane’s place. The house is absolutely beautiful and set in breathtaking surroundings—the photos really don’t do it justice, as the real thing is far more exquisite. The decor is warm and homely, yet spacious enough to comfortably fit the five of us. Both bathrooms were spotless—one with a shower and the other with a bathtub, which gave us the flexibility to choose. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, including ample fridge space. The garden is also worth mentioning—gorgeous and clearly very well cared for. We especially loved the fireplace; it truly felt like the cherry on top of an already perfect stay. The house manual was detailed and extremely helpful, covering everything we needed to know. Jane was a wonderful host—so warm and thoughtful. She welcomed us with a lovely letter and some delicious biscuits, which made us feel right at home from the start. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at Lynne’s cottage. The place is cozy, clean and comfortable. It is minutes from the Main Street. Lynne was a great host, responsive to our messages and thoughtful. She left us fresh milk and bread, hot chocolate and biscuits. We really enjoyed our time in the cottage and would highly recommend anyone who wanted a restful break!

The Rabbit Hole is one of best stays I have experienced. It is beautifully curated with stylish interior and rabbit theme in the decor and art work. The apartment is well equipped with a great kitchenette. The hand made candles and lotions created by Anne were a lovely touch. Both Anne and Paul were great hosts and very friendly. Their dog woody stole my heart ❤️

We had a fantastic stay at David’s beautiful and unique accommodation. David was responsive to all queries and made us feel incredibly welcome. He’s clearly passionate about the space he has designed and built — it’s thoughtfully planned, exceptionally well designed, and full of character.The attention to detail throughout is outstanding. We had the best night’s sleep in the enormous, super-comfy bed, and the large walk-in shower was a joy to use. The property is equipped with everything you could possibly need (and more) for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The views from the living area and terrace are lovely. It’s an easy and scenic walk into the centre of Marsden along the canal towpath or a quiet lane, and both the Standedge Tunnel and North of England Centre for Music and Arts with its cafe are just a couple of minutes away on foot. My wife and I stayed 4 nights at Crook a Beck Barn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property. It is well equipped, with a great kitchen, plenty of wardrobe space and a large walk in shower alongside a large bath. It is in a peaceful setting with beautiful views and has all levels of walks available straight from the property. We enjoyed the extras especially the lemon drizzle cake made by Judith. We will definitely books this property again on our next visit to Patterdale.

We had a lovely stay at Molly’s cottage! We stayed for our 5 year anniversary and it was incredibly serene and peaceful. It was really spacious for 2 people and had everything that was promised. Lots of great music choices for the CD player, great board game options and some great reading material. It was squeaky clean and beautifully decorated. The log burner was perfection for a cosy night in. Couldn’t recommend enough! Thank you for a wonderful stay! We’ll definitely be back! X

Perfection. Exactly as described and Janet literally thought of everything. I've never stayed somewhere where you have everything you could possibily need (even pain killers in the draw). The hand written card on arrival was also a lovely touch. The cottage is stunning and very high spec, not to mention spotlessly clean. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.

We loved staying in the cottage! It was so convenient and close to everything whilst also being nice and tucked away. Tom was very helpful with reccomendations due to the weather conditions and we had the best time! The shower was amazing which is something you don’t usually find so we were very happy after a long day of walking! We would definitely stay again 😁

We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage. the beds were very comfortable. Everywhere was spotless. Martin was an excellent host. Friendly, great communication and quick responses. The bars and restaurants were great and the locals were very friendly. We've made some great friends here and cant wait to return. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
