Beachfront vacation rentals in St Ives

Wow - what an amazing place to stay! This is probably the most memorable AirBnB I have stayed in so far. You are right on the edge of the seafront and by the harbour, with the double aspect living room enabling you to see both - the sea views are just stunning. Margaret was a really friendly and communicative host, and the parking space is good. I would heartily recommend this as a great place to stay; it is just so special being able to look out and see the sea from bed, and to hear the waves lapping at the shore as you go to sleep or make your cup of tea in the morning.

Fantastic place to stay. We came as family with a toddler as well grandparents and both families dogs and it was perfect for us. Easy to get to the beach and costal path. Stunning views. Great location for seeing things - loved getting the train from st. Erth to st. ives. The house itself was super practical. Loved the outside shower and cleaning facilities for us and the dogs after getting sandy on the beach. Lots of books that our toddler loved reading and playing with the toys. Just great. Richard was an amazing host and really accommodating to our needs. A very special holiday.

What a find, was looking for somewhere to stay while attending a wedding and this apartment is amazing. After a long journey from Cambs, we found this lovely place has everything you need, great host, free parking, restaurants within a few minutes, cafe below you…yet a feeling of privacy within the apartment. We felt totally at home here, such a clean, tidy, comfortable and homely place, great neighbours and locals who are also very welcoming. We would recommend The Unicorn pub and Blue Bar for food and drink and friendliness, and for the morning the Beach Cafe below the apartments, great quality good value food. The beach is literally below you along with amazing walks, we experienced picture-postcard sunsets each night, couldn’t have asked for more. Mike the host is very professional and helpful, responding quickly to our questions and giving advice like a true local of the place! 10/10 on everything we experienced. Go see for yourself!

We stayed here for 4 days of our ‘mini moon’. We wanted to enjoy peace and quiet and an easy trip to the beach. It ticked all those boxes. Porthtowan is a treasure going back to my husbands childhood. The accommodation was so peaceful, clean and comfortable. Dominique was very helpful in sending some recommendations before we arrived which were all well utilised. The walk can be challenging as it is a bit of a climb (only slightly and took around 6 minutes) but completely worth the views and the peaceful feel on top of the cliff. Thank you for having us!

Even Keel is charming beyond words. We didn't know much about Mousehole or the Mousehole Cat before our stay, and it is now one of our favorite places. The home has all you need for a self-catering stay of several days: fully equipped kitchen, nice beds and bathrooms, and a washer/dryer. The only tricky thing (as an American driver) was parking. I would advise any beginners to park in the big Parade lot on the outskirts of town. The North Quay lot is a shorter walk but a little tricky to navigate into and often full. The South Quay lot - just around the corner from Even Keel - was nerve wracking to drive into and then was completely full. (As for "street" parking, I would strongly advise against even considering to try this; just pay to use one of the lots and enjoy your holiday!)

Me and my 2 kids adored our stay here! The most breathtaking views of the ocean and such easy access to the beach via the dunes. We shall definitely be coming back!

Tranquil by name tranquil by nature! This is a beautiful space inside and out. Very clean and neat but not clinical, very comfy. The bed was so comfy with cosy duvet and pillows. The bathroom clean, great shower and towels with a little cupboard of extra bits should you have forgotten your toothbrush! The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and crockery, even has a seasoning rack. The outdoor space is perfect, a little grassy area, decking with bistro table and chairs and a larger table and chairs where you can have meals right next to the little summer house. The hot tub is positioned perfectly so you can see sheep in the field while you soak. The icing on the Tranquil cake has got to be the private beach. Just a 10 minute stroll down a clearly marked out path ( map and directions in the kitchen) open the gate with the key provided and you are on the most gorgeous little beach. Sue and Darren were so friendly and helpful and responded quickly to queries we had. We would def return!

We loved our stay here. The apartment was perfect for us - a family of 4 with 2 teens. There is so much to do on the estate - the pool and leisure area were great for rainy days. It was amazing to be able to walk to the beach and enjoy the cafe as well as being able to hire SUPs and wetsuits. Melanie was a great host and was really flexible in letting us change our arrival day (twice!) as well as enabling an early check in. There's loads to do in the area. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely family stay, really peaceful and quiet and we all loved the hot tub and the flow rider! Comfy beds and lovely to have bath robes and plenty of towels. Really lovely stay in lovely location close to lots of beautiful beaches and towns. Great property.Thank you!

The flat was spotless clean and very well decorated. Perfect location for a walk into town and also a stroll to Gylly beach. The view from the window was a delight when opening the curtains in the morning. one thing to note is the flat is a top floor and there is no lift. we never used the Falmouth hotel for swimming or gym but we did find that the bar was a perfect place for a drink on the way out\way back. Would love to stay here again. Never had to contact Nicola during the stay due to no issue's, however we did receive regular updates from Nicola. perfect holiday thanks you Nicola.

We absolutely loved our stay at Mary’s beautiful home. It exceeded our expectations the location was incredible, only a short and beautiful walk into the town. Next to the best beach. Every room was very clean and had everything we needed. Mary was very help helpful and quick to respond to any queries. Would highly recommend. Made a special birthday just perfect.

We visited Liz and Dave's beautiful apartment for my 40th birthday and it was everything we hoped it would be and more. Inside, the space was clean, comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped. The views were absolutely stunning, and we enjoyed several mornings and afternoons on the lovely balcony. The location was amazing, very close to the train station and a bus stop and very easily walkable to pretty much anything you'd want to do in town. There is also a path across the street that takes you down to a stunning beach. Liz and Dave were responsive and just totally lovely, and made us feel welcome and special for our special occasion. I just cannot recommend the space highly enough! Thank you Liz and Dave!! (and Tara and Claire!)

We had a great stay here with 6 adults and a child. The house was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed—with 3 bedrooms and a sofa bed that worked perfectly. Just 5-minute to Hayle Beach and close to shops too. Mark was a fantastic host—friendly and quick to respond. The only thing we weren’t quite prepared for were the seagulls, who clearly thought they were our morning alarm clocks… at full volume!

We were very lucky to find a place to stay like Mark’s apartment.The place has a million dollar view of the Carbis Bay beach. My partner and I had to take turns to seat on the comfortable chair to absorb the views . We both couldn't get enough of the breath taking views. The apartment is comfortable, spacious, clean and had everything we needed for our week stay. On our arrival, there were milk, coffee and tea available. Not forgetting the biscuits. There are three front beach restaurants and others places to eat not far from the accommodation. We loved everything about the place and location. We will definitely recommend it. We will definitely return to stay.

We stayed at Beluz House for a week from 7 June 25 and could not have been happier. The location is perfect. Right in front of the most beautiful beach and within easy walking distance of another 3 stunning beaches. Just on the edge of town, so not al all noisy. Yet within 3 min walk to the town and the multitude of restaurants and bars. You couldn’t get a better location. The house was cosy, comfortable and very traditional. Everything you needed was provided. Beautiful little front garden and views from the bedroom balcony to die for. Jonathan could not have been more helpful and friendly. Even when we had a puncture 2 mins after leaving, was able to advise us where to go. Would definitely go back again. We had a great holiday.

My wife, toddler and I stayed at Dawn's place along with my brother, his wife and their toddler. Host: Dawn was super communicative, responsive and helpful. She had plenty of very useful recs for activities, eateries and even how we should schedule .g. grocery deliveries for our visit. We couldn't have asked for a better host. Space: The flat was wonderful - incredible views, very clean, much larger than I would have imagined for an ocean-front place, and great fixtures / furnishings and available towels / blankets / kitchenware / beach toys. Neighborhood: As described in the listing, the tram to St. Ive's is just next-door and the bus stop is a 5-10 min walk away - but you may decide not to go anywhere because the beautiful beach is just down the hill. There are delicious local restaurants and a large Tesco grocery store nearby so things were very convenient. Altogether super relaxing stay, would highly recommend and we plan to return!

Another great visit to Porthmeor Beach staying at Hilary's apartment. Loved sitting on the balcony and listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. Also amazing walks along the coastal path

A beautiful place with stunning a sea view. Felt like home away from home. Super clean place with stylish furniture and fresh linen and towels. Jennifer the host was so friendly and helpful and went out of her way to answer any questions asap. We already have recommended this place to our friends and will be staying there again when we come back to Cornwall. If we could give it six stars we would.

The views from this place was amazing, hearing the waves when I woke up and went to bed was so peaceful. Everything was within walking distance so that was great. The accommodation was well equipped with everything you might need for your stay. Sam was an amazing host who responded quick to my questions.
