Brandon and Sam’s Place was perfect for us it was close to the city. It was easy to take Ubers. we loved walking down the street to Whole Foods. There was also a beautiful Catholic cathedral with mosaics that we went to go explore around the corner Their place was so homey it felt like we were staying with family!! It was very peaceful and quiet. The bed was so comfortable and cozy! I honestly can’t wait to come back. Brandon and Sam are very generous. We enjoyed a bagel one morning!

This place was exactly what I needed for a quiet work location. The room was spacious, and the stay was quiet, without interruption, allowing me to get much-needed work done. The bed was comfortable, and the two large desks allowed me plenty of room to spread out. The wifi worked well for my needs. I would definitely stay here again for a quiet work time or a much-needed retreat from hectic daily life.

Lovely spacious 2 room King suite, super quiet

KathyRating, 5 stars21 months ago
I'm a repeat visitor at Tim's. I have occasional work in the area and appreciate that his place is so close to my destination. The place is clean and comfortable. Appliances are all new. Wifi was solid for me to stream a show and maintain fast remote connection to my client's site for after hours work. There's Aldi's grocery a few blocks away so I shop and eat in for time and cost savings. Tim is super responsive, always helpful.

#3 Betty Bloomer Le Velo Inn

EricRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We really enjoyed our stay at Le Velo in one of their well-appointed suites. The finishes and furnishings were the nicest of any Airbnb we had stayed in before and it was obvious that much care went into creating a really special space for guests (heated seat toilet/bidet was my personal favorite). We love the historical aspect of the entire place (being an original boarding house from the 1800s) as well as the historical theme of the particular room and how much effort was made to reflect that (Parisian chandelier, reuse of vintage doors, etc.) Logistically, it was very easy to get in and out. It was a great location in the Frenchtown part of Old St. Charles, which is a quieter, less developed historical area, but a short 10 minute walk from busier Main St. Area was quiet and safe and still had very close walking options for coffee/breakfast/pizza. And the outdoor lounge area was really nice even though we didn’t make use on this stay. Would love to come back again!

#4 – Penny Farthing Le Velo Inn

TylerRating, 5 stars1 week ago
It was an absolute joy. My fiancee and I booked at this location in Saint Charles on a whim because we were going horse back riding out in High Ridge. It was the first time either of us experienced St Charles and we loved it so much, we are talking about moving there. It is such a beautiful little town with all types of local restaurants and shops and plenty to do all within walking distance. The Velo Inn was perfect as well. It is so unique and beautiful. EXACTLY as described in the listing/pictures. 10/10 we will for sure be back in the future. My 1 and only minor issue was the cost. But on the other hand, you can see the amount of work and effort they put into making this hotel a wonderful experience for their guests.
A spacious family room features a modern black leather sofa and a wooden coffee table, positioned over polished hardwood floors. A decorative wall clock and a piece of art adorn the walls, with a cozy fireplace as a focal point. Natural light enters through the windows.

1st Capitol Mansion - Suite 302

MarthaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at Jon’s charming vintage home! It has all the nostalgic charm of a classic college apartment—think character, cozy vibes, and personality—but with the added bonus of thoughtful renovations, true cleanliness, and modern comforts. One of our favorite features was the beautiful wooden staircase accented by a lovely stained glass window—it made every trip upstairs special. The price was very reasonable, especially for the quality of the space, and Jon was a friendly, attentive host who made sure everything was just right. Highly recommend if you're looking for something unique, welcoming, and budget-friendly!

This is a hidden gem that is maintained exceptionally well. The check in was smooth and the owners are very friendly. Only time we saw them was when we checked in and they gave us a tour of the place. The entire property is squeaky clean and provides every comfort offered in a five star hotel. I've stayed in many five star hotels across the world (Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, Waldorf Astoria) and this is arguably better than those places given the unique experience it offers and the character of this place. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a unique experience in St. Louis. It is also located in close proximity to a lot of local attractions.
