Vacation rentals with beach access in Southerness

I think the place looked great and we really enjoyed our stay. There are loads of beautiful places around and we spent the day hiking and took the kids out to the beach in the evening before bed. Made good use of the Monopoly at the property on the one day when there was a thunderstorm. Very happy with the place we picked especially that it was available at short notice. Michelle was prompt with her replies and accurate with all the instructions.

We stayed here on our way to the Highlands as a stop over and it was perfect. There was myself, my partner and our 9 year old daughter. Deborah was very welcoming to us after such a long drive, she had prepared a lovely lunch of sandwiches and cake for us and left some milk in the fridge for a very welcome cup of tea and coffee. The place was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. The weather was not fantastic but in the summer the garden would be lovey to sit and relax in. The highlight for my little girl was the jacuzzi bath which was fantastic! The place was very cosy and we easily could have stayed for longer had we had more time in our trip. The beach was very close which was much appreciated by our dog Bella. We will definitely consider staying here again on our next trip to the Highlands.

A delightful property that met all our needs. Wonderful view of harbour, and rooms thoughtfully designed and furnished to make the most of this. Helpful owner — nothing too much trouble. Comfortable, well equipped and utterly peaceful. Not to mention high quality cafe downstairs.

Absolutely perfect stay! The place was pure luxury relaxing, spotless, and exactly as described in the listing. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The attention to detail and comfort was top-notch. Highly recommend this host and would definitely love to return!

Everything was great, Lauren was a great host, very attentive. I had a problem parking my van under the hight restriction and 2 mins later Lauren had sorted me a parking space outside. The place was great couldn't ask for more 😊

We loved our stay at Southerness nice seaside town with lots for adults and kids to do, well located caravan with good views, quiet, extremely clean and tidy and well stocked with appliances.

Booked the apartment for my Dad, he was very pleased, said he had a night of luxury for a change! Very Modern, clean and comfy bed. Easy to check in, perfect location for exploring the west coast, and two local pubs friendly with nice food and drink served

Our 1st time at Cruggleton Lodge - though we have stayed at the relatively adjacent High Lodge several times. As at HL before, we had an idyllic week - which the facilities at CL provided an excellent foundation for. CL is secluded, set in the edge of woodlands, with breath-taking views out to sea. The walk through the woods down to Garlieston starts literally outside the door. Woods containing deer, hares and a wide variety of bird species. Have already booked again!

We loved our stay here. The house was perfect with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We appreciated the blankets so we felt cozy on the sofa at night and the beds were so comfortable. There were plenty of spaces to park and there is easy access to the beach. A great place for sea glass hunters or if you just want to watch a beautiful sunset. We would definitely recommend Chad’s place. Thank you for a great stay.

A beautiful cottage, so warm and cosy with everything you need to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. A great base for accessing the nearby lakes and other local attractions. Being dog friendly ensured the whole family got to enjoy the trip.

Beautiful home. Recently refurbished to an exceptionally high standard. Elizabeth was always responsive and on hand if we needed her. She provided lots of very helpful recommendations for food and activities during our stay. Fabulous home and host.

Two words to describe Bonshaw Grange - "Flawless" and "Perfection." This is no ordinary stay, this is a unique experience that transports you to a magical place. Everything was perfect from start to finish. John was incredible from start to finish, with all the comms, responsive to messages, accomodated all requests. Went above and Beyond, and really contributed to making a 40th Birthday weekend celebration so very special. Everyone was blown away by the house, the gardens, the decor, the facilities - all truly luxe with no expense spared. The love, care and attention to every single detail is evident. I really congratulate John and Dan for creating such an amazing and beautiful space. I want to gatekeep this beautiful place but have already told so many friends & family. The children did not want to leave and already discussing our return and when we can book again and for longer! Truly Outstanding! Thank you so much for Everything!

We had a fantastic stay at Joshua place! The location was perfect—just a short walk to the seaside, which made it easy to enjoy the beach every day. The place was very clean and tidy, and everything was exactly as described in the listing. It felt comfortable and well taken care of. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing coastal getaway.

My dog and I had a lovely relaxing time at the cottage. It was perfect for the 2 of us. It was quite remote ( but I like that ) in my opinion so you would need a car. The High ceilings make the cottage seem bigger and the paintings done by a local artist are lovely on the walls. The cottage had everything we needed, the heating was very responsive so in no time you are cosy, I didn't use the log burner but it was great and Betsey left lots of logs. The bath was lovely with lashings of hot water. Loved it, thank you Betsey and lovely to meet you and your beautiful dog.

Jane was very helpful prior to our stay and went out of her way to meet a special request. Everything we needed was there and we felt right at home. Its a shame we were only there one night. Thank you

Cosy cottage with lots of character, in central location. Easy access to shops and sites. Could unload outside cottage, and then go to nearby on street parking. Booked cottage for overnight stay for the Taste of the Sea Festival. Exceeded all expectations when discovered that free breakfast was included at nearby cafe.

Aurelia is super friendly and very welcoming, coommunication was superb - I was running late and she was very accomodating plus responded very quickly. She really makes you feel at home and the cat Freddie is an absolute cutie :-)

This accommodation was fantastic! Everything was spotless, well-equipped, and thoughtfully maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. It was easy to find, and communication with the host was smooth and helpful throughout. We really appreciated that the heating was on when we arrived in the evening—it made the stay feel extra welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

Great place to stay with a great view and so close to scafell pike. We struggled to find in the first place but the instructions were clear when on the right road and was our own fault. Can't fault the apartment itself has everything you need.

Such a delightful place to stay ...everything was perfect and Carol, our host provided every amenity we could need and more! We were also lucky enough to watch the Kirkudbright Parade from the apartment window, which was fantastic! Thank you Carol for a lovely stay..we will definitely return in the future.
