it was really cosy, we had 3 persons so it was perfect sized for us. the attic is really warm with the heated mat. only the bed in the room was on the softer side. all in all a clean and comfortable stay

It's a great place with a good view, nestled in a quiet mountain. The check-in time was late, but the host kindly guided me on how to get there and helped me check in.

It was nice to get up early in the morning and take a walk around. You can also walk to Ssangsanjae. Clean accommodation, very kind, snacks provided, clean accommodation, and bedding Everything was good The kitchen was also fully equipped for use. You don't need to get out for breakfast or go to a cafe in the morning~ It was a shame that I only stayed for a day. I'll have to stay a little longer next time~^^

I rested comfortably in a well-maintained space and traveled before heading out! I'll be using it again when I come to Aewol. I was thankful that the host was kind and clear instructions.:)

I heard that the hot water in the bathroom was coming out slowly, but it came out very well, so I guess they fixed it! The room was warm and well organized! The bathroom felt like I was visiting my grandmother's house. It was friendly and nice!! If you're staying nearby, I recommend this place! There's a pub 30 seconds away on foot, and it was so delicious!!!

I found this place while looking for a quiet place to stay with friends. There was also a pretty garden, so it was peaceful and nice just looking out the window. There was a big Hanaro Mart nearby, so it was easy to shop, and it was close to Aewol Hyeopjae, so it was good for sightseeing. I recommend it~~

All the spaces and amenities were filled with sincerity and warmth. I didn't know that breakfast would be prepared, but it was a healing time where I could forget all the fatigue, worries, and stress of the world and focus on myself because they prepared a healthy, warm, and hearty breakfast. Even though I am very scared of and hate bugs, it was a time to detox my mind to the point that even the bugs I met on the outdoor deck looked cute and new. I was so touched that you even took care of the fruit to feed the dog! It was nice that it was open enough to see the Milky Way with the naked eye, and the air was clear. I don't think I'll ever forget the stars I watched all night, the sound of birds and the fresh scenery I heard while having a cup of tea with breakfast in the morning. I had a really good stay! ^ ^

It was a good place to rest quietly, and the interior facilities were all clean and well organized.

I’m currently working my way through the Olle trails and stayed at Miru’s place due to proximity to trails 10,10-1, and 11. Right across the street is the ocean, which was a nice sight to come back to at the end of each day. The place itself is wonderful. The bed was super comfortable, I slept longer than I usually do each nice and rested well- the first night I accidentally slept for 12 straight hours! This was the best stocked Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at. It had everything I needed and more. The shower was great and dried quickly. The bathroom was larger than I expected, which is a plus! I also appreciated the separate English profile in the Netflix account. It wasn’t needed - I can navigate the Korean page fine, but it was a nice touch that I haven’t seen before. House rules were also in English. Very foreigner friendly. Miru was super responsive and reached out to make sure Check in went smoothly. I had a great stay!

I rented it for a family gathering, and the surrounding environment was quiet and the neighborhood environment was so nice. 👍 It was so nice to get immediate answers to my questions and communicate. I want to stay again next time. ☺️

i can’t say enough about this place ~ a true hidden gem, especially for those travelers looking for a more nature-filled, peaceful, traditional korean village experience. nestled halfway up one of the mountains in jirisan, katherine’s hanoak house and guest house is near a pristine mountain-fed stream and two Buddhist temples within walking distance. the beautiful villages of hwagae, gurye, and namwon are minutes away by car as well as many hiking trails, hot springs, sauna, and three of the best Buddhist temples (and one of the best buddhist hermitages) in the country. katherine is also an amazing, personable and knowledgeable host with plenty of ideas and suggestions of things to do or events and festivals to attend. a native english speaker and fluent in korean is an added bonus. her guest house is lovingly and artistically furnished and super cozy. looking forward to many future visits…

I had a really good time with the kind host, the lovely puppy Yoo, the warm pool, and the comfortable and evenly-cooking gas grill. There were two TVs with YouTube and Netflix, and even a karaoke machine, so there was no time to get bored. The kids are asking to come again. I'll see you again in the season when the valley water flows!

The host was very, very, very kind, They explained how to get there and how to park!I felt like he was managing it very well, and I felt the attention to detail in the interior~ Be careful as the road is rather narrow! The bed mattress is so fluffy I was disappointed, but I was satisfied with everything else!

Considering the price, there are a lot of facilities that can be used, and the surrounding scenery is nice, so I wanted to come back. The host was kind, and the dessert on the table was really good.

It was a good time to have a light barbecue. I ate well until the end because you carefully prepared the charcoal. There were no mosquitoes yet... but I was a little nervous because there were bushes around. The owner is friendly and the coffee and sandwiches provided were very delicious I felt reassured It wasn't winter, so even if two people washed together with lukewarm hot water, it wasn't insufficient. It's just that the sink drainage was weak... it was a pity. I had a nice rest for a day.

It was also a good place for the kids to run around privately.

The surroundings are relaxing and peaceful. There are also picture books that I like, cute handmade accessories, and a CD player that can open the morning pleasantly, especially on the second floor. It was nice to have a space where you can do something alone and see the scenery together. I had a good rest:)

It was a cozy and cute space. The indoor space is small for a 3-year-old and 5-year-old to stay, but they don't have to say anything if they stomp their feet, and the advantage of going out into the yard and jumping around is great. Originally, the whole family slept together, so we put a floor mat under the small room mattress in the living room and slept, and plenty of bedding was prepared. A lot of props and equipment were prepared, and the host gave us detailed instructions, so we were able to reduce the amount of luggage we took. It was nice to be able to enjoy the secluded Gajin Beach in 5 minutes on foot. The sand was a bit thick, so the post-processing was relatively easy. The host also guided me to nearby restaurants and cafes, so I saved time searching for nearby restaurants during my trip. The kitchen was small, so it felt a little cramped to cook something, but it was better because I ate out a lot.😁

I had a very comfortable stay for 3 days. The friendly owner sent me a list of all the restaurants where I could go with my pet, and above all, I was so touched by the snacks made with only healthy ingredients because my dog is allergic to meat. Thank you. :)

Very well decorated and supplied, we loved it! The area is quiet and has lots to do only a short drive away!
