Built in 1939, Dongchonjae It's not a fancy hanok. Seoul City and the government (Korea Tourism Organization) have recognized it as a traditional hanok. Dongchonjae has opened its home by a retired couple and has been operating since October 2020. Guests use 4 rooms, living room (Daecheongmaru), kitchen, 2 bathrooms (inside: shower available, outside: small but showerable), Numaru, and yard. The host lives in Sarangchae and provides breakfast and other services. My place is located in a place overlooking the view of Bukchon. It is a private hanok that only up to four people can enter and does not share with other guests. In the yard, there is an outdoor Jacuzzi that reinterprets the Hanok Sarangbang in a modern way.
