Kid-friendly vacation rentals in South Carlsbad State Beach

Beautiful home in an excellent location. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great stay. The backyard was especially beautiful and lush, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. We had trouble figuring out the TV, and Alexander made a special trip to fix it immediately, which we really appreciated. He was incredibly attentive, always responded within 30 minutes, and made sure we felt welcome throughout our stay. Highly recommend this!

Kat place is so beautiful and very spacious. It was like home, everything is clean and perfect and the living room is so spacious, my kids love the living room, a lot of spaces for kids and my kids also love the toys room, they really have fun.

We lived in the hot tub! We were able to bbq and make s’mores! The beach was a 9 minute drive, clean, safe, and fun! It was a great view! Our favorite part of this trip was Kona and Rosie (dogs at the bottom of the hill)! They greeted us and met us every time we stepped out! Wonderful neighbors!

Deyao’s place was great. Location is wonderful and is about a 8-10 min drive from the pier. It’s in a quiet neighborhood with walking distance to a big park 2 houses down. My dog enjoyed his morning walks. Plenty of kids playing in the playground, basketball courts, and tennis courts. The home itself is a duplex and is shared with tenant. They are very respectful and the Gentleman that we met gave us some really good recommendations. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the day bed in the living room was cozy, the kitchen had everything we could need (organized and labeled) and the bed felt like it was from a hotel. I liked how you the home had 3 different entrances so you could still have your “side” of the lot to enjoy. Would recommend this place to stay at if you are in Oceanside. Thank you Deyao! 10 and her partner were great at hosting us while we stayed in Carlsbad we enjoyed the view the walk to the beach the game room they went above and beyond by getting my child some snacks and a pizza so it would be there when we arrived this was amazing which was amazing when traveling with kids will be back to stay

We arrived in Encinitas at an Airbnb that simply wasn’t acceptable! We found Casey’s place and connected with him to book his home last minute. It was perfect for our family gathering, with a beautiful backyard, large open gathering space, and easy access to the beach and downtown Encinitas. Highly recommend. Casey was kind and very responsive.

This airbnb was conveniently located and was as advertised. Place was clean and the check-in process was seamless. Would definitely check out other Wander locations in the future.

Anthony was very prompt in responding to any questions we had. He accommodated our specific needs and was helpful with last minute inquiries. Perfect location with spacious, but welcoming environment. Home was stocked with all basic needs so you didn’t immediately need to run out to buy necessities. We also appreciated the art work and decor that isn’t normally in a rental. Loved the fireplace, fire pit, and outdoor entertainment garage. I enjoyed the rooftop desk the most, while the family spread out to the other areas. Wonderful family home with all sad to leave.

It is a perfect place if you're looking to make a quick trip to Oceanside. We only stayed for a night and half a day, but it was perfect for what we needed, a place to sleep and quick access to downtown to attend celebrations with friends. Betsy was super communicative and friendly, no issues whatsoever.

Me and my partner were here for a concert, the location is very walkable and beautiful. The stay is also very comforting, and exactly what we needed. The hosts were extremely welcoming, and gave us recommendations on activities, and places to eat. I will definitely be coming again.

We loved our 3-night (couple’s) stay at this quaint and cute apartment! Joel and Heather were both very quick to respond and offered good recommendations. It’s within walkable distance to the Carlsbad Village and Beach, which were our top priorities. Loved it and strongly recommend!

I loved the location, we could walk to coffee in the morning. A few great food options are close. The kitchen was fully equipped for anyone wanting to cook, we didn't because the food choices were too good in the area.

Condo was easy to find, instructions were clear and simple to get it. Condo itself was clean and felt right at home. It's in a great location walking distance to Omni La Costa resort which has great food and drinks and a great golf course. Would definitely book again the next time I'm in San Diego.

This place was definitely worth it, walking distance to the beach and the pool made it a favorite for us. Paul provided lots of fun beach accessories for us to use and the condo was clean and had what you needed. The patio is nice to have breakfast on and though the sliding door was really hard to open/close Paul said they were expecting a new one. It was so nice to have a refreshing outdoor space but just a bummer that due to the landscaping project it was a lil bit loud during the daytime when coming back to recoup but that’s kinda out of anyone’s control. Overall we enjoyed our time and would stay again in the future.

I couldn’t have chosen a better place to visit my son, who is currently serving in the Marines. We were both able to rest deeply in a big, soft, comfortable bed something we hadn’t shared in a long time. The house had everything we needed; if I needed something from the kitchen, it was there. Nothing was missing. I was able to cook for him, we shared a beach day, and for a few days, it felt like we were home again. It was a safe, cozy, and truly special place. I’m deeply grateful for this week and for the joy of spending it with my son. 5 stars without a doubt! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, safe stay full of heart.

We love the location and amenities at Paul’s place. Very quiet unit and lovely balcony overlooking the beautiful surroundings. A new hot tub opened by the pool during our stay which was wonderful!

Lovely place in walking distance of the beach and village. The place itself is great with a well stocked kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Nick was a great host! He let us check in early to get settled, was communicative and helpful, and the apartment was everything we were looking for. I loved the location as it is very close to downtown Oceanside while still in a peaceful neighborhood. I felt very secure with the courtyard and loved the coffee shop right across the street. I would recommend staying here and plan on staying here again the next time we come down!

Our second stay here was Wonderful! So close to the beach and downtown Oceanside! Also, a fully stocked garage full of bikes, water toys and everything you could ever need.

I cannot say enough about Leslie and Kaylie. Absolutely everything was perfect. Every I was dotted and t was crossed. Communication with them was amazing. The home was beautiful.
