Cabin vacation rentals in South Algonquin

We had a great stay at Lisa's place. Our family spent a lot of time on the water exploring the lake in the available canoe and kayaks and really enjoyed the sauna and hot tub in the evenings. The outdoor space is setup perfectly for living outside on those sunny days and inside the cabin is cozy and has all the amenities you need if the weather isn't great.

A couple of things that stood out for us was the abundance of towel racks and hooks in the bathroom as well as dimmers on all of the overhead lights (such a relief from glare!). We would stay here again.

A Perfect Getaway at a Beautiful Water View Cottage! Our group of girlfriends recently had the pleasure of staying at a lovely Airbnb cottage in Norland, and I can't recommend it enough! The location was great, with great views of the water that made every moment feel special. The cottage itself was very nice, providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It was well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the hosts were attentive. We were disappointed that we couldn't fully enjoy the wonderful deck due to the weather. However, the hot tub was a fantastic highlight of our stay, and we made the most of it! Overall, our stay was great, and look forward to returning. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with beautiful scenery, this is the place to be!

We had an incredible stay here! The house was beautiful, spotless, and looked even better than the pictures already were. The hosts did an amazing job to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing time. Victoria and Jason were extremely welcoming, responsive, and ensured everything was perfect. Wanda’s cozy little cabin was the perfect spot for a relaxing winter getaway! Her place exceeded the photos, as soon as we walked in Wanda already had the wood stove fireplace going so that the place was warm and cozy when we arrived. She was extremely pleasant and responsive when we had questions and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We loved it so much we didn’t want to leave! Would definetley recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

great place to stay, right on the water. Tucked away in the Forrest, this cottage is very private, peaceful, but still close enough to different things around the area (i.e. golf courses, restaurants, hiking trails) that gives you options. The inside was simple but cute, clean and has pretty much everything you need - just read their detailed instructions carefully to make your stay even better. Overall, beautiful well-kept property, stunning views, and great place to escape for awhile. Would absolutely stay again

We loved our mini getaway! We had everything we needed and more! Sleeping was a dream. Comfy bed (and cozy couch!) Chilled by the fire…. Wandered the road…. Peaceful vibes. Kyle and his wife have thought of everything….from the record player to playing some cards by the fire! Thank you for hosting us. My husband and I wanted a quick getaway , somewhere rustic,quiet and close to water. We found Janet’s cabin just what we were looking for. We had the most incredible stay at this delightful cottage! The hosts were wonderful to communicate with and went above and beyond by leaving us fresh eggs and homemade sourdough—such a thoughtful touch. The kitchen was fully stocked with every tool you could possibly need, making cooking a breeze. The cottage is located on a peaceful island, just a quick 5-minute boat ride away. Upon arrival, we had help unloading the boat, which made settling in so easy. The highlight for us was Sunset Point Rock, where we enjoyed breathtaking sunsets. Swimming was such a joy. The whole experience felt like a dream getaway—cozy, clean, and truly a home away from home. For fellow nature lovers, we highly recommend downloading the Merlin App to identify the many beautiful birds on the island. The fishing was great. We found the Texas Rig worked best. We absolutely loved every moment and can’t recommend this place enough. Will definitely return!

We stayed here for a family trip with our child, and he absolutely loved feeding carrots to the donkeys and horses on the ranch. The accommodation looked exactly like the photos and was impeccably clean and well-maintained. It was also very convenient because the place was fully equipped with kitchenware and amenities, so we didn’t need to bring much from home. Most of all, the host was kind and respectful of our privacy, which allowed us to truly relax during our stay. It was a quiet and peaceful place, and we’d love to visit again in the future.

Easy no contact needed entry. The host was quick to respond to any questions. Good use was made of the space so you had everything you needed but could still move around. The kitchen is very well stocked with extras as well as necessities for cooking. A top notch shower head that wasn't to low (I'm 6 feet tall), and towels provided. Outside had a fire pit and firewood provided.

We had a lovely stay at Natasha's. Home was very new, clean, modern and tastefully decorated. Just loved admiring all the beautiful trees! We had a dog with us and walking around the surroundings was so peaceful. Sauna/spa was great after a long walk. Very close to Haliburton and Minden. There is a very nice country market nearby as well. Highly recommend this place if you want a peaceful retreat with a modern touch.

A very cute log cabin with a beautiful waterfront on a huge property. Super private, quiet and peaceful. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the cooking utensils I needed. The bed was comfy. My dog enjoyed all the greenery.

If you want to have a proper Canadian Shield experience, Hailee's cabin is a fun destination. It's a cozy stay and fits the bill with the " off the grid" experience as the main quirks are solar and rainwater and a fun little road to get to. There's much to do around if you come prepared in a area that might feel overlooked. Hailee is very responsive and fun to deal with. Make sure you bring bug repellant otherwise you might find your stay miserable.

We visited in mid-October, and the foliage was amazing. The lake is indeed pristine. Very comfortable cabin; one 29 degree F night challenged the woodstove in the main room, but the bedroom was super cozy. Very near Algonquin PP so there is lots to do. Joanne and Lars were very responsive to questions.

Fabulous cottage! Amazing view of the lake from both inside and out on the dock. We enjoyed cooking on the bbq grill in the evenings. Everything was clean and worked perfectly. Matthew was super responsive to any questions I had. Also close to Algonquin so was nice to spend a day there. Can’t wait to stay here again. Thank you for being wonderful hosts :)

Everything was great! The house is so cute and comfortable to be in and Natalie was a kind and responsive host! Definitely the perfect hideout style getaway that I was in need of!

Really good place to live, the place had everything you can ask for kayaking, fireplace, bikes, trails to try. The place was really nice, radek took so much time to work on the place and it was one of the most beautiful place I’ve stayed in. Really enjoyed my time there. Thank you radek :)

What an absolute amazing place to stay! Fantastic place to absolutely wind down and just take it all in. Nice short drive from Huntsville and Halliburton where we explored a few places. Felt better than home as it was so quiet, my home is not 🤣 Would absolutely love to go again in the future.

Our stay at this Muskoka cabin was perfect for unwinding. Eliza and Safiqa were both amazing hosts. The 50s vintage decor and cedar furniture created a cozy atmosphere, and the serene lake views were breathtaking. We enjoyed the pedal boat, and the outdoor BBQ space for meals with a gorgeous lake view. There were also lots of activities to do only 15-20min from the cabin which was an added bonus. Our stay had been a fantastic retreat to disconnect and recharge. Highly recommended!

The cottage was peaceful, private, and fully stocked with all the daily use stuff we forgot to pack (a lifesaver, honestly). Only letdown? The weather. Still, the vibes were right, and we made the most of it. Definitely would book again.
