Gorgeous natural build in the forest above the lake. Great amenities for a remote location. Can walk or take affordable local transport (boat or tuk-tuk) to any of the surrounding lake towns. Restaurants within walking distance. Safe neighborhood for a female solo traveler.

I loved staying at the studio! I stayed there for 6 weeks. I loved sitting and laying in the hammock at the balcony enjoying the beautiful view with all the different trees, flowers, butterflies and a lot of birds. I loved all the chirping of the birds. It is a very quiet place close to the village of San Marcos. Eric and Clara are very kind and responded very quickly to all my questions. I highly recommend it!

Great spot for a couple nights in Tecpan! A little removed from town, so you can still hear some of the noise, but the cabin itself is peaceful and the hosts are very helpful.

Eco cottage was so cozy and homey. We got a bit lost on our initial arrival but Luzmi came down and personally showed us how to get up and gave a tour of the beautiful place. We walked to town once and decided to catch a lancha for the remainder of our stay. The place was very clean and Luzmi even provided drinking water. Wonderful stay. Amazing host. Would definitely recommend

We had an incredible time as a family, we appreciate the cleanliness and beauty of the place, quiet, charming and safe. Your pets will be safe, the hammocks are a plus, the kitchen is fully stocked, I definitely recommend it and I will visit again, Rayito will stay in our hearts. An Unforgettable Stay with Breathtaking Views Casa Zen offers one of the most stunning views we’ve experienced — sunrise and sunset from the room are simply magical. The space is well maintained and peaceful, and while it can get a bit chilly at night, it only adds to the cozy mountain atmosphere. Important to note: getting to the room is a bit of a trek. The path involves walking past a tub area, climbing stairs, and navigating a few turns that aren’t clearly marked in the listing. It’s definitely worth it once you arrive, but guests should be prepared — and pack light! Thankfully, there’s a wonderful tuk-tuk driver who works closely with the hosts. He helped us with everything from carrying luggage to delivering food and organizing transport. A true lifesaver and a key part of the experience. San Marcos is a small, quiet village with a strong focus on vegan and vegetarian food. We explored all the surrounding towns, and we found Aman Hotel they make the rest of the trip word it ..

Hiking trails were close by and terrific. Access to the lake was not discovered.

Excellent option to stay in panajachel, the view it offers in front of the volcanoes is incomparable, incredible sunrise and sunset from your room, it is not on the beach but it is easy to access it, Sergio received me extremely kind and friendly, he gave me recommendations and in the evening they have a bar with great electronic music!! If you don't mind sleeping with music or bustle, it's great !! Also on one side is the dock to access all the atitlan villages.

I had a great stay! The place is beautiful, quiet and private that is what I was looking for to be able to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of day to day races. Otto was always attentive and friendly, he allowed me to check in a little earlier, with the availability of being able to check out a little later; and Nicolás, the guardian, always attentive and willing to help. The facilities of Hotel El Bambú very nice and the staff and management very friendly and friendly. Everything was super, Beautiful place 🙏🏻

My kids LOVED the swimming pool and jacuzzi. Also we took the kayaks on the lake for a morning paddle. There's also a sauna on the property, which we briefly tried. The little house was perfect for our needs and had everything we needed - its at the very top of the hills, so a bit of a trek. Restaurant at the bottom was OK - we enjoyed the tacos, and the fruit smoothie drinks. One note - be careful about closing the door, as it will automatically lock - we accidentally locked ourselves out, and the restaurant didn't have the key. Would absolutely stay here again!

A wonderful, magical place! Food was D-licious and staff super helpful and friendly. The walk to the hotel is quite the hike and challenging with the amount of bags I had, but totally worth it! Thank you for the hospitality!

Beautiful space in the Guatemalan highlands. Love the tranquility in the forest away from all the busy-ness of some of the other places on Lake Atitlán. Great way to connect with nature and connect with the local culture. Once we got here we just wanted to stay longer!

Truly an amazing stay! Overall I really enjoyed this space, the views, peaceful and tranquil environment. I really appreciated the supportive and helpful host, rapidly responding to my questions or requests and providing an excellent experience in Tzununa on a daily basis! The house, outdoor space, bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for my needs. Having the privacy to a house and front yard after busy days of travel was ideal and relaxing. Considering how close to the lake it is, there is no smell or humidity when keeping the door or windows open, which I prefer! The house was accessible through the local boats, with its own boarding dock always readily available. I highly recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a private and peaceful home during their travels!

Such an amazing and serendipitous stay. This little lakeside cottage was exactly what I needed for my week away in San Marcos. The area is perfect and easy access to the downtown San Marcos area. The bungalow itself is super quaint and perfect for 1-3 people. Filtered water provided and a full kitchenette and refrigerator to prepare your own food. The fire pit was lovely as well which I wasn’t expecting. Whenever I plan to be back in San Marcos I will absolutely be checking to see if this airbnb is available during my planned stay. Thank you!
