Great place to stay! I would recommend it for its price point, location and nice host. Pros: - The host, Samuel, was extremely responsive and friendly. He offered lots of recommendations. - They proactively offered early check in. - Location is conveniently on the “tourist street” near the public boat docks, so it’s easy to get around. - Spacious living room. One of the rooms is also very spacious with modern AC. Cons: - Had water issues for about 90 minutes but Samuel resolved it quickly - Location means that it can be loud at night - Difficult to control shower temperature (there’s only cold, lukewarm and very hot)

Beautiful house right on the lake, bedrooms were very comfortable. I liked having the kitchen and lounge open air as that’s where I want to be when at the lake. We enjoyed the dogs, the friendly old cat and all the birds. Tons of flowers. Elaine was very helpful with trail info and a boat contact. We didn’t end up kayaking this time but you’re perfectly situated to do so.

Un lugar excelente… las personas que nos recibieron fueron muy amables, tuvimos un pequeño problema fuimos a comprar a las tiendas cercanas para cocinar algo de cenar y nos vendieron vencido todo pero las personas que nos recibieron en el Airbnb nos ayudaron mucho y nos regalaron de su comida son unas personas muy nobles y de buen corazón nos sentimos como en casa … como recomendación para los que van deben tener cuidado con las curvas

Amazing little spot in Santa Cruz, walkable to any area. Quiet and cozy, perfect for some vacation time. It's not the first time by boyfriend has booked this house and this time I was able to come as well. Super plus point: it's pet friendly and our dogs LOVED this short holiday!

Great place! Absolutely loved the direct access to the water. The house is very cute and exactly like the photos. The steps to get to San Marcos can be a lot, but it was doable and really worth it in the end!

I stayed at Balam Ya Rentals and it was truly one for the books. The property felt luxurious, spacious, and incredibly private—perfect for a restful retreat by Lake Atitlán. From the private driveway and designated parking space to the lush surroundings, everything about the space invited relaxation. What made the experience especially memorable was the attentive and kind team. They were always available to help us coordinate taxis, meals, and even a private boat to explore the lake and its surrounding villages. While some services came at a higher-than-average price, the level of comfort, ease, and care made it more than worth it. If you’re looking for a peaceful, elevated experience in Lake Atitlán with top-tier hospitality and privacy, this is the place.

Our stay was incredible. I took my entire family Of 16+…. The views are breathtaking, with so many fun activities without even leaving the house. The hospitality was also a great bonus! Pedro, the house guardian is very attentive. Highly recommend booking Juliana for your breakfast needs, she was also great! 😊 Carlos, is great as far as communication goes, very patient and friendly. We all gave this place a 10/10 We’ll definitely be back soon! Ps…there are some massive stairs down to the pool/ lake. The walk down is easy but the walk up is some work! Be ready for some good cardio

The place has an amazing view—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. The check-in instructions were clear and everything went smoothly without any delays. Beautiful place... Great views, pretty quite and relaxed. Atitlan Lake is magical place and all the villages around it are amazing. A lot of culture and history there.

A beautiful Airbnb in an incredible location on the lake. Words can’t describe how amazing it was to wake up with the views we had of the lake! The free kayaks are a lovely touch and the food on site was great quality. There aren’t many restaurants nearby and the local town is very small but this was perfect for the peaceful and relaxing stay we wanted.

This place is a gorgeous gem! It’s like a magic trick walking from the busy street with vendors into an oasis of beauty. The property is a dream, the view is impeccable, the house is spacious and nice. We were just very hot the first night as the house had been closed up all day. There were some small bugs throughout the house…and the biggest concern was safety. There are multiple doors to the house that aren’t easily locked. The property feels safe and secure, just the house itself felt insecure. The family that stays on property is there for anything you need and so very helpful at any given moment you need help! They are kind, courteous, and stay out of your way unless you call on them. They let us use their paddle board and took it down to the beach for us and brought it back up. So kind. I would stay again!

Samuel was super accommodating and let us check in earlier than we were supposed to which we really appreciated. Super responsive and offered us recommendations! Highly recommend staying at this airbnb!

I agree with all the previous reviews - can’t recommend Griselda and Antonio’s place high enough. San Pedro is loud ! And this is an oasis of calm yet walkable to the town and language school(s) we will defo be back.

Absolutely Fantastic Stay at Solina's! We had an incredible experience and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area! The location was absolutely perfect - just the right distance to easily walk to all the vibrant bars and restaurants, yet peaceful enough for a relaxing getaway. The grounds are truly gorgeous, with stunning views overlooking the lake. It was such a treat to wake up to that scenery every morning. Solina was incredibly communicative and made the entire process seamless. A huge thank you also to Ventura and Tulos for making check-in super easy and welcoming. We especially appreciated the thoughtful care package of food items waiting for us upon arrival - such a lovely touch! Solina's place truly made us feel right at home. It was comfortable, well-appointed, and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We can't wait to return and wholeheartedly recommend staying here!

Great stay. Two families each with two kids and plenty of beds and space for kids to run around. We hired a local chef, Juan Carlos, to cook dinners, which really turned the trip into a vacation. Plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, etc within 5 min walk. Mariano, caretaker, met us at dock to help carry luggage to the house. Temescal was very relaxing at night and we loved hearing the birds and wildlife scurry around. We had some cloudy weather so pool/jacuzzi wasn't warm, but we cant change the weather! 100% recommend.

The house was beautiful. Right on the lake with Cristal clear water to just jump in when waking up. We loved it!

Un hermoso lugar para disfrutar del lago. Fiona respondió siempre con mucha amabilidad. Tomar en cuenta que son muchas gradas para llegar a la casita desde la carretera pero vale la pena.

Our stay was unforgettable. The views and proximity to the lake and nature reserve, as well as the outdoor bathroom were spectacular. The serenity and sounds of nature took our breath away. Very good choice to unwind and reconnect with oneself or nature. Hosts were above and beyond helpful and communicative (and with translation to our driver). With that said, the stairs down and then up to the house are no joke. Not for the faint of heart. Well worth it for the experience but if you are not in shape or healthy I would reconsider. It was a considerable effort. I also do not recommend more than 4-5 adults in terms of space and sleeping arrangements. We definitely want to return!
