Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Smith Mountain Lake

We loved our stay here. The walk from the house to the dock was easy for our grandma also. Got to park our boat to the dock. Very peaceful. Loved it here. We will definitely be back.

More than exceeded our expectations! Even more beautiful than the pictures! We wish we had found this place when our first of 3 went to Liberty University, rather than for the graduation of our youngest. Our stay was too short to fully enjoy all the fun things to do ie on the lake and campfire. We felt like we could spread out with the four different patios/ porches, yet we could all come together and spend time in the extra large family room. Great place to walk - absolutely gorgeous! This place is amazing!!

This was our first trip to Smith Mountain Lake. We were in town for a wedding at Water’s Edge Country Club. This location was very close to the country club and wedding activities. The home has a beautiful lake view on a quiet cove without speed boats and jet skis racing by all day. The dock was convenient for swimming and relaxing. I had to call host Ronald upon check in with a couple questions and he immediately called back. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and appliances. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms stocked with towels. The only reason for the 4 star on location has nothing to do with the home, however there is a marina with a boneyard of heavy equipment that you pass through coming and going. Overall we had a great weekend.

What a beautiful place!! Our whole family loved the deck in the mornings! We had wonderful weather, and the views were just gorgeous as we enjoyed our coffee outside. 😍 Great basement with so many games to enjoy and room for everyone! The gravel driveway is very steep, but thankfully it didn’t rain while we were there, so we had no trouble getting in/out. Very clean, well-stocked house. The closest grocery store is about 30 minutes away, so maybe stop by on your way in. We would love to stay again sometime!

My family really enjoyed our stay.The house was immaculate and well stocked.The fire pit was a great hit as were the Kyacks and paddle board. The house is close to SML state park which we went to a number of times. the ping pong table and game room was also a hit.Megan is a very responsive host!

This was an exceptional experience for my husband and I. Michelle was wonderful, informative and kind. We had not one issue the 3 nights we stayed. The view is amazing and this condo has everything you need to cook with, make coffee, and more. Super grateful for this experience at smith mountain Lake.

We had a wonderful stay while in for a wedding. The cottage is so cute and homey. It has everything you need for a great stay plus some thoughtful extras. I must also say the beds are so comfortable and the hot tub was a great way to end our days. Highly recommend staying here.

This little apartment is actually a lot nicer than the photos suggest. Situated in a quiet neighborhood in the countryside, clean, cozy, and comfortable. Brianna is a great host, very responsive and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay.

My wife and I enjoyed a quick anniversary trip here and we were 10/10 pleased! The room was clean, comfy and had everything we needed. The location is amazing, from the view to the convenience of the pool, and dining. We were even able to rent a boat on site which was very convenient. Overall we had such a fun and relaxing time, and Susan was very easy to work with!

Even though we couldn’t adjust the temperature ourselves, they were quick to offer help if we needed any changes, showing how attentive and considerate they were throughout. Overall, it was a great experience, and we’d be delighted to stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-managed place to stay!

Our family had a fabulous time at One the Rocks. The setting was gorgeous, the kids loved the boathouse set-up and the house was very well stocked with everything we needed to make Easter dinner. We loved having the flexibility of the other cabin when our group grew. We hope to come back next year!

Fantastic little hidden cabin that met all of our needs. We loved that it was dog friendly and isolated enough we didnt have to worry about a leash. The solar driveway lights were a great touch as we arrived late. The creek was a lovely suprise, larger than expected. The driveway is gravel and long, tucked in just like we like! Nice decks and seating areas to enjoy the view.

Most wonderful stay! You walk in and it was clean, fresh , beautiful view! I stayed for an event on the property, I do not live too far away, but I can’t wait to come back. Sitting on the porch and listening to the surrounding nature was priceless!

We spent the weekend here and all thoroughly enjoyed it. The house has plenty of space and all the amenities you need to get comfortable and relax. The outside is second to none as far as lake houses go at SML: fire pit, kayaks, beach area, picnic table, plenty of tree shade. The check in and out process is painless as well. Chad and his place are great.

Notes for travelers: Must love animals Steps up to loft Cell service spotty in that county for AT&T at least so make all your important calls before you get there and then just enjoy Selah’s ❣️

We loved staying at Cedars Rest! It was the most perfect property, extremely quiet. Safe location, easily accessible to local places - winery, wedding venues, etc. thank you for a great weekend getaway!!

This cabin was an incredibly peaceful and fun weekend retreat for my fiancée and I. There are tons of hikes in the area and also a small trail system on the property. There is tons to do on the property in way of games, cooking, and a fire pit. The cabin was very clean on arrival. I would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone visiting the area
