Wholesome Desert Guest Suite

The 525 sq ft guest suite is set back on one acre of quiet, lush desert with indigenous wildlife, fresh air and starry nights and is located on the first floor of our two story home. This fully furnished one bedroom suite has a medium/firm foam spring free Sealy California King sized bed. A third guest can sleep in the the living room on a couch that opens up into a full sized bed. Rest assured, it is a modern pull out bed without springs so it’s a comfortable and firm platform. Just off of the bedroom is a bathroom with a bathtub/shower and it has a window to bring in light and fresh air. We provide shampoo, conditioner, soap and a hairdryer. The kitchenette has an induction electric stove top, a medium size toaster oven, microwave, fridge, pans, blender, rice cooker, coffee maker, dishes and cutlery. The cupboards are stocked with essentials like spices, oil, local honey, fresh tea and coffee. The small living room has a loveseat couch and a 32" Tv with access to Netflix and other streaming and local channels. The guest suite has it’s own private entrance located around the side of the main house and the entryway is through a private sun room. Also, there is a charcoal grill available for your enjoyment. Our guests can use the family swimming pool and it’s available from mid April through mid October and we provide swim towels and pool toys. Uncovered parking, shared laundry and excellent Wifi access are also included. We clean the apt and linens with eco-friendly and non toxic products, although not always fragrance free, but certainly not strongly scented. The walls are painted with nontoxic low VOC paint. Also our water is filtered throughout the whole house and there’s a hepa air filter in the bedroom. Our wholesome desert retreat is located 5 minutes to a Safeway grocery store, shopping center and hospital, 10 minute drive to hiking trials, 15 minute drive to the University of Arizona and 20 minute drive to the Sonoran Desert Museum and Old Tucson. Please, no pets are allowed and no smoking indoors is allowed here. Our aim is to ensure an allergy free zone for our all of our guests. To be clear: my family lives here too and we live in the 2nd story and the guest suite for rent is located on the first floor, west side of the house, which is the quietest area of the whole property! Keep in mind that although we are in a semi-rural and quiet setting there will be some muffled family noises occasionally. Your hosts, Dan and Teresa, are long time Tucson residents and are happy to share their knowledge of the desert, the Southwest’s attractions and seasonal festivals. Finally, if our Airbnb guests are in need of a deeply relaxing retreat experience then they can enjoy discounts when they book services from our in home business, Still Waters Oasis. We offer Float therapy, Biofield Tuning or private Yoga and Meditation instruction.

Park by your PRIVATE entrance ! This spacious and comfortable suite is quiet with it's own Mini Split and you can set it for your comfort. The WIFI is fast and you will enjoy the king bed and SPA shower. The kitchenette has a full size fridge. Locals must send an inquiry about your stay before booking. 15-20 minutes to downtown, UA and the airport. Sending a message about your stay is appreciated. since I do not have a cleaning fee I expect guests to leave the space neat and tidy.
