Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Shinjuku Station

The air bath was excellent. There’s nothing quite like bathing and showering in nature warmly and sanitarily. The house is creatively designed, using every nook well. I enjoyed experiencing natural light from unexpected places. It’s quite the contrast to Shibuya, which we wanted so we could sleep well. Yet, it is still surrounded by cool cultural and spiritual things from shops to food to Shinto shrines and sanctuaries. I would definitely stay again!

Five stars all the way. Kan was a wonderful host & this house was magic. Everyday was made only better knowing we were returning to this home. Would recommend 100%.

The location is good, the station is 3 minutes walk away.Surrounded by many restaurants where you can have a late-night snack, there are pine houses and McDonald's that are open late.So go home at night not to worry about nothing to eat. The room is clean and bright and is a very classic traditional house.The host is very well maintained. Because near the track, you can hear the train, but this issue didn't bother me at all, even if I was a light sleeper and closed the windows, it was a little unbelievable. The host also communicated well. The only thing that was a little regrettable was that it was a little too early to check out at 10, which was too stressful for anyone wanting to sleep a little more in the morning. Other than that everything is perfect.

Yasu was the most thoughtful host! He kindly came to pick us up from the station and was so helpful with recommendations and information. There are adult bikes available to use. When we asked Yasu, where we could rent a bike for our 6 year old, he bought one for him! Our son was over the moon and loved cycling around. We explored many parks, and we didn’t cover all of them. I can highly recommend the Traffic Park, for kids. They have bikes and go-carts for the kids(for free). The house is really lovely, spacious and comfortable. Our son, had the room downstairs. He loved the mini foosball table, and having a huge room all to himself. There were welcome snacks and the fridge was packed with food and fruit! The location was also terrific for getting around. We loved it here, and would definitely come back again!

I honestly don’t know where to begin. Staying in Keiko’s home was truly one of the greatest honors of our time in Japan—it was a highlight of the entire trip. From the moment we walked through her door, we were immersed in Japanese culture. Keiko greeted us with warmth and kindness, making us feel immediately at home. She patiently guided us through everything, showing us how to use her space with care and respect. Her home is a reflection of her spirit—graceful, serene, and full of beauty. I was deeply moved and inspired by her presence and generosity. Being invited to take part in her traditional Japanese tea ceremony was an experience I will never forget. She took the time to teach us the rituals and meaning behind each step, explaining everything with such clarity and heart. She dressed us in beautiful kimonos, carefully helping us put them on the correct way. Drinking matcha that was pure and fresh—words fail me. It was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Chika’s place is so nice and clean, it’s the best little cute house ever, cozy warm and full of love. We enjoyed all the little details of this house! It locates at a very quiet little street, surrounded by a lovely neighborhood walking distance to MTR and convenient stores. My family really had great time here, my kids loved it so much! Definitely feeling like my home@Tokyo, and lastly I am very appreciated for gift and the hand-written warm greeting from Chika!

Yume's house is one of the best Airbnbs I had the chance to stay in in the last 10 years of intensive use of this platform. It's absolutely ideally located in a charming and quite central neighborhood. The place itself is beautiful, quiet, full of light and highly functional. The attention to details from the kitchen to the bathroom provided by the host are spectacular and really what makes the difference. Yume was incredibly reactive and kind, providing tips and adresses and really going the extra mile to make my trip incredible. I can not recommend enough to stay at her place as this utterly made my stay in Tokyo unforgettable.

Chie is very friendly and her place is in a great location—ideal for two. A more local neighborhood, not filled with tourists, so perfect if that’s what you’re looking for.

The host has good taste, and there are lots of nice tableware and decorations in the room.Although the room is not large, it is fully functional, clean and tidy.The location of the house is very good, quiet in the middle of the bustle, and life is very convenient.The surrounding environment is also very good, and both stations are very close.The warmth and beauty of home.

Our stay here was amazing especially for our first time in Shinjuku. The location couldn’t be beat, walkable to so many of things you want to see while visiting this area of Tokyo. The place was so clean and the bed and bedding were so comfortable I want the bedding for my own house. The host was super responsive, gave great instructions on how to get there and how to get into the place. Also was super communicative and gave helpful hints and great local recommendations. Would stay here again any trip back to Shinjuku

We really enjoyed our stay at Satoru's apartment. Everything was very nice and clean. Satoru was very thoughtful and provided an excellent description how to reach the apartment from the train station. Even with step by step pictures, so you really can't get lost. He even left us an umbrella for the rainy days. The apartment is very cute and gives your stay a traditional Japanese style. Everything was very welcoming and well stocked. He really thought of everything! 10/10 would book again!

Nice clean place. Liked that it was in a quieter part of Tokyo but still walkable to great food and of course the Yoyogi station. We are family of 4, two young kids, and it was tight but worked for us. This is Tokyo after all and we didn’t expect western style apartment or space. Had small kitchen and washer dryer but we didn’t need to use either. Host was responsive and had good English. Instructions to get to the place from Yoyogi station were clear and had pics

We loved staying at Shimbashi West Section L! Concierge was extremely warm and welcoming. Check-in and check-out was extremely smooth and easy. We loved the entire vibe of this place! The lounge was comfortable and had a tea, coffee and soft drink station with some snacks that you could help yourselves with. We arrived Wed and they have happy hour where they featured a few drinks for self serve. The overall room was thoughtfully designed and had storage under the bed. There's a bench, table and chair for you to sit and have meals. The room was furnished with appliances and their app had instructions. There were 2 ac units. The water pressure was great. The toilet & shower was a bit larger and there was counter space for stuff. In the halls, we could hear families with kids - the rooms were soundproof very well. We tried the sauna which was a great way to wind down and relax. I'd highly recommend staying here, it's clean, thoughtfully designed and made us feel right at home!

The apartment was much bigger than I thought for being in Tokyo! There is definitely no issue opening suitcases like other Airbnb. The apartment is clean and about 12 minutes walk from Shinjuku station:

Great stay! Very clean rooms very private and safe. A small park next door is a great way to start the morning or wind down after a long day. Next to Koreatown so easy access to a fun area. Very central to many train stations making the entire city accessible as well. Liked it so much I extended my stay with the host who was very friendly and accommodating. Would stay again if I can.

Sho's flat is a perfectly located room in a neighbourhood which is fun to explore - tons to do, all within walking distance. The nearby temples/shrines are sublime. Take Sho's excellent food recommendations - all of which turned out to be exceptional; recommended walk to the gym/pool also great. (Within blocks, there is a restaurant-filled quarter - incredible variety.) The walks themselves are scenic, and the location convenient to virtually all of Tokyo. Sho was always kind, helpful and responsive. The room is a great place to crash...do bring earplugs, though, as you are at the mercy of the guests upstairs (who may not walk on tiptoe.) The character of the small room is that of a simple hotel - it is not very personal or apartment-like. The bathroom is comfortable, clean and functions well. Although the check-in process sounded quite elaborate, it ended up being easy. Choose this place for the location and exploring ...and for a good night's sleep, as the room is small and simple.

Wonderful place though very small even by Japan standards. Still highly recommended, just no real chill areas / couches, only beds. Bonus - very clean, professionally kept, & very good value. Host was amazing and responsive and the area is safe, very walkable and close to a very cute main strip with loads of shops and culture - but just outside the main busy Shinjuku central area - so it felt more local, vs touristy which was a nice experience. Walkable to central Shinjuku through fun side streets, and walkable to subway lines. Overall a wonderful place - first time in Japan with two kids and it was easy and enjoyable staying here!

It is a beautiful apartment with lots of space. Everything was present. The toilet and bathroom were very clean. Trendy and fun area with lots of coffee shops and restaurants. Mari and Miki are very helpful and friendly.

Host was very responsive, and listing matched descriptions and pictures in the listing. The unit is 3 min walk from train station, which is really convenient. Host explained how to use all appliances. Quick response from host whenever we ask any questions. Would highly recommend this place!!

Beihoa's place was fantastic. The location is close to the Yamanote line, but not so close that it is noisy or crowded. There are lots of places to eat, grocery stores and 7-11s(3) in the neighborhood. We also found a Don Quiote near by...which we went to at 2 am thanks to jet lag. Beihao was very quick to respond and offered suggestions if we needed help. The Yamanote line is very easy to navigate and I strongly suggest a Pasmo or Suica card. The condo is located very close to Shinjuku and Shibuya...super fun places to visit. The condo is clean, full of light and big by Japanese standards. I would definitely return here!! Thank you Beihoa for helping to make our visit amazing!!! My son and I fell in love with Japan!❤️
