loved this little hotel plus the staff and food were lovely!

Looking after Belmont House is an act of love from Martin. It is beautifully presented and the rooms are warm and comfortable. I was tempted to spend the day sitting in the drawing room and just watching the weather but there is plenty to do outside even when the weather is challenging. Martin was very tolerant of our large puppy. He produced substantial evening meals. In the morning we got detailed instructions on options of where to go and how to get there.

Great hotel in a lovely location. The room was very comfortable and had a gorgeous sea view. Food was delicious too!

We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Martin was a perfect host: he was extremely nice and helpful and always available to answer our questions. What's more, he went above and beyond to meet our individual needs (lactose intolerance, vegetarian diet etc.) and also asked for our input. We can highly recommend staying at Belmont House. It's beautiful, peaceful and you'll be in good company :)

Nice to see the hotel back open with a friendly welcome and nothing to much trouble. Was made to feel at home, restaurant and bar were open and although an issue with the fryer it did not stop very tasteful meals which were well presented and reasonably priced. Continental breakfast was available with a good selection and cooked breakfast on request. Thought had been put into the accommodation, the hotel had recently been decorated, bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean with refreshments available.

Shetland is a beautiful place to visit and I suspect Sea Winds is the best place to stay if you do. The house is in the perfect spot, unbelievable views across Bain’s Beach and you can hear the sound of the sea and yet it is only a 5 minute walk to the centre of Lerwick. The photos really don’t do the house or views justice. The house is beautifully decorated with fabulous local art and there is everything you need (including all the dull stuff like a great shower, dishwasher, washing machine, etc). This is the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in quite a few. And Ruth is the perfect host - she makes you feel incredibly welcome and is super quick to respond to any questions as well as offer brilliant tips on things to see and do. If you are planning a visit to Shetland you are really going to have a wonderful time if you are lucky enough to book Sea Winds. Thank you Ruth - we will be back!

our 2nd time staying here, everything you could need is provided, it's a quirky wee place in the ideal location as a starting off point for exploring everything Shetland has to offer. we hope to return again next year.

Our stay at South Lodberrie was wonderful. A beautiful home in a perfect location with all the amenities you need for a great stay. Walking distance to shops, cafes, pubs and tourist attractions . Quiet and restful and a great place to unwind. A place that feels like home, only better ! Gil was a wonderful host through the booking process and the stay . Thanks for sharing your beautiful home .

Quite simply one of the best places we've stayed. This shepherds hut is luxurious with lots of treats and a very comfortable bed. It's very warm and cosy in the hut. The addition of an electric ring made cooking meals easy. The well equipped gym and bathroom are close by and very clean. The best thing was Yvette, Rachel and Yvette's mom and aunt who all did their best to make us welcome. The views of St Ninian's Isle, the sunset into the sea, and the Shetland ponies are spectacular. It is well located for exploring the southern mainland with lots of good walks nearby. We will definitely be back.

We were very comfortable and everything we needed was provided. Heating and hot water were excellent and the bedding,towels and furnishings were of the highest quality. Jacqueline was always on hand and always friendly and approachable. The house had a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.

A very spacious, discrete, comfortable and well equipped home, optimally placed to explore the full extent of the islands. The nearby CoOp and garage in Brae have all the supplies you need. Fresh mussels and scallops available daily from the shellfish farm across the bay. Amazing wildlife, including otters on the lawn. Nikita is a super host, very supportive with good ideas, such as where to spot Orcas. The nearby Brae hotel does good dinners. Thoroughly recommend staying as long as you can to enjoy a special place, people and wildlife in the British Isles. Thanks Nikita!

Valerie's 2 bed apartment is located in the most scenic part of Lerwick. Bain's Beach is opposite and you could spend all day looking out of the panoramic window watching the world go by. It appears to have been recently refurbed as everything was like new. She has made sure everything you might need is there. It of course is in an iconic location if you are a fan of the TV show Shetland but that aside it is effectively in the middle of Lerwick. Shops and restaurants are a stones throw away. We will come back to Shetland - we had a wonderful trip - and would only want to stay at this location again

we loved our stay at Spindrift. the house is big and has everything you need. loved the mornings at the beach watching birds and seals. the communication with Walter and Jane was very easy. thanks a lot Michael, Bettina and Lucky
