Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Shelter Island Heights

Spent a long weekend here with one other couple and had an amazing first trip to the North Fork. Karine's home was beautiful and close to everything we wanted to see, and her recommendations were excellent and super helpful! We had a fabulous stay at this adorable cottage. It had everything we needed and more. Great spaces indoors and out to hang out, walkable to one of our favorite wineries, other wineries & restaurants close by. Appreciated having a tandem kayak to use & explore Goose Creek. Enjoyed watching birds, including Baltimore oriole parents in a nest in the backyard. Would return again. Thank you!

Excellent spot for family and extended family. Peaceful and well appointed. Lots of nice updates and comfortable. Games and pool made it so fun.

We had a great time during our stay at Theresa’s. It truly felt like a home away from home. The warm and inviting atmosphere made it easy to relax and unwind. Theresa was an exceptional host. This was our wedding day weekend and we were shocked just how well this Airbnb was designed, built and cared for. All of the appliances were high quality, an art TV, a gorgeous shower. My wife and I couldn't have been happier calling this cute cottage home for this special weekend. Thank you Sara!

Harris was an amazing host! Very responsive and thoughtful. He even left us a basket weaving kit for the offchance that it rained during our stay. The home was stunning — beautiful furniture, stocked kitchen, and stunning art. Convenient to Southampton, East Hampton, and of course, Sag Harbor! Will definitely be staying again!

Dewey’s place is such a dream! Everything is freshly renovated and just feels so crisp, clean, and stylish. You can tell so much love went into the design it’s the perfect mix of modern and cozy. We felt right at home the second we walked in. The kitchen is gorgeous, the bathrooms are spa-like, and every little detail was just so well thought out. Dewey was the sweetest host super responsive and made everything totally seamless. The location is amazing too quiet and peaceful, but still close to all the fun spots (beach, town, restaurants). We didn’t want to leave! Already planning our next trip back. If you’re thinking about booking, do it you’ll love it just as much as we did!

This is a lovely upstairs apartment about a half mile from a small marina with several good restaurants. You will want to get to the beach in Madison, a state park, rather than the Clinton beach which has high fees for non-residents. With that said, the gate is not attended after 6 pm when I sat and ate a lobster roll and then explored some of the history plaques to be found on the point. Catherine’s place was the perfect site for me to rest after a Hoffman retreat.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Clean, Comfortable, and Thoughtfully Prepared! We had a great stay! The place was spotless, quiet, and exactly what we needed for a few nights of good sleep and hot showers. It was clear that the host put thought into making guests feel welcome—there was a mini chocolate bar and a bottle of water waiting for each of us when we arrived, which was such a kind touch after a long day of travel. Check-in was smooth, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked perfectly. While we didn’t spend much time there beyond resting, it was the perfect place to recharge. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a clean, convenient, and cozy spot!

Spacious and clean. There was a car parked in our designated spot for a bit which caused us to have to park on the street. Shortly thereafter the car was gone so we were able to park in the spot. A little disappointed when I reached out to Vivian about the situation and never heard back (both messaged through the app as well as texted). Other than that hiccup, it was overall a good experience.

Clare was a great host and gave many local recommendations right off the bat. She was very reachable when we needed something. Place was clean (very nice bathroom) but we did find a few bugs here and there (it's on the ground floor and we visited in summer) so would recommend bringing bug spray. Overall great stay.

This is our second time staying at Jennifer’s home and we love it so much!! Jennifer’s home is beautiful, very comfortable and the decor is well done. The lawn and garden were prestine. We enjoyed sitting on the deck having a drink and sipping a cup of coffee. Our granddaughter loved the flowers and playing in the backyard. If she could she would've picked all of the beautiful flowers. Lol! This is a really extraordinary property and you couldn't ask for a better host. Jennifer is an amazing host!!

Bob, Dawn, and their dog, Cooper were the greatest hosts! We felt welcomed from the moment we got there until the moment we left. The apartment had everything we needed and more, and the shared spaces outside were very serene. I would highly recommend this Airbnb for for anyone wanting a relaxing getaway. Clean and cozy cabin. Close to Mystic without being right in the thick of it. We enjoyed a night by the fire with a friendly local fisherman. It worked nicely for our short trip to the area.

We’re so glad we found Paul’s rentals at Stonington Marina! This is a wonderfully unique stay in a great area with lots to do, and Paul’s cottages at the marina provide a peaceful, homey place to relax and enjoy. It was great to kayak over to Sandy Point and enjoy the beach like a local. If you want to catch and prepare your own fish, he’s got the stuff for that in the patio/fire pit area. Or you can get some fresh catch in nearby Stonington borough. Otherwise there’s a host of excellent restaurants nearby and Paul’s recommendations will steer you well. The cottage itself was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Again, a great find!

it was a unique situation. I was notified by James that there was an issue with the rental and they were working on fixing it but repair people were coming the next day and would I prefer to stay at another property that they had. I said yes I would so they promptly gave me directions it was absolutely a lovely place to stay beautiful home in a beautiful area. once the issue at the cottage was fixed they notified me, but since I had a lot of commitments and was already settled in I asked if I could stay where I was and they graciously said absolutely. it was a lovely home with every amenity and I had a wonderful stay. James was a consummate host very concerned about my comfort and very very gracious in an unusual situation.

The cabin is lovely, with a great wrap-around deck overlooking a bucolic scenery complete with a river and cascades. Jessica was always helpful and responsive and the house is comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen which is unexpected in an Airbnb. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return!

Quiet, peaceful location with lake access and a nice little beach within short walking distance. Loved the screened porch! Keith was a great host- welcoming and responsive. The cabin had everything we needed and a great historical charm.

OMG Place was so cozy and quiet...a great retreat!!! There was everything you could possibly need there and decor was charming!!!! Beach right near by and Rocky Point Pine Barren park very close. I will DEFINITELY return to this cottage. Very private and quiet atea...lovely tree surrounded outdoor space out front. Do not hesitate to book this darling cottage. Marina was a super sweet and helpful host! Thank you so much!
