The House truck on river farm

Feel refreshed when you stay in this rustic gem along the Mattole river. This hand crafted timber framed house truck is a work of art. Nearby the out door kitchen is a fun atmosphere to cook your dinner in nature. The jungle green house holds a sweet claw foot bath tub with on demand hot water to fill your tub deep. The river is down a trail behind the barn and is a delight to swim in or sit along side. Our place is off the beaten path, we are a hours drive of gorgeous scenery off the hwy 101.

The Lost Buttes are perfectly remote! The 6 mile drive up our private mountain road leads you to the ultimate glamping experience. 4wd vehicles are required. The canvas wall tent is equipped with a queen bed fully made with bedding and pillows. The back deck looks west for stunning sunset views. Outdoor shower and kitchen has hot water and a 3 burner outdoor stove with a bbq. The smokeless campfire ring (excluding fire season) is situated next to the patio table. Please come enjoy the solitude!

Oceanview Penthouse

Reading the description I was confused on the property. It was not a private home, but was a penthouse attached to the Lost Inn. With that said it was beautiful and quiet. The elevator was not functional so if you can’t climb the stairs it could be difficult. The pizza place made us hungry every time we walked past it to the penthouse. lol. Definitely would stay again.

Kevin was a great host. He was friendly and responsive when we had some questions in regard to fishing in the area. His place was very clean and you can tell he cares about the people staying in his rental. Lots of recommendations listed on things to do and where to eat. We met him in person and he even let us know of a community event happening the weekend of our stay. We appreciated the getaway and the closeness to the river and the trees.

Wonderful place! Very peaceful and relaxing. My two girls loved the porch with outside counter and sink. Theres a great covered porch where we painted driftwood that we collected from the beach just down lighthouse road, we roasted marshmallows in the outdoor fire pit, relaxed in the hammock and played board games inside. The internet was fast and easy to connect to. The kitchen was amazing and all the utensils and pots and pans were easily available to use. There was even a french press and coffee in the cupboard! We loved our stay! The beach was super accessible and theres a water hole not far either, about 20 minutes away. The place is called, A. W. WAY CAMPGROUND, where you can jump off rocks into a beautiful river. We will stay again. Darlene was a wonderful host and was super helpful and answered all our questions. We came from mount shasta, and it was nice coming from a small town and being welcomed into another small town.

Beautiful retreat with all the comforts of home! Robert has been a great host, very helpful and responsive. The house exceeded my expectations with its well equipped kitchen and charming record player that added a special touch to our evenings. We also enjoyed dining in the spacious patio. The drive getting there includes some unpaved gravel sections and windy roads. Once you arrive though, it's absolutely worth it! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily return.

My dog and I only stayed overnight but the cabin was a perfect stop off when traveling up 101! It’s right off the highway but feels very secluded. Amazing amenities with the washer/dryer and exercise room, though we didn’t need them this time; we did enjoy eating outside in the central picnic area. Charles was super responsive and flexible and I always appreciate a place that welcomes dogs without tons of restrictions. I’d definitely stay again and encourage anyone to book :)
