Camp Two Hearted- Off-Grid & Riverfront Base Camp

JohnRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Perfect fall getaway! Aside from the outhouse (which was not bad at all for an outhouse) you hardly notice you're “off grid.” The solar-powered lights, woodstove & furnace, propane refrigerator, cookstove, and kitchen set-up made it a significant step-above camping. The hosts provide a book of area resources and maps that we found very useful. We wish they would have provided directions to their “secret rock spots.” We enjoyed the base camp and the excitement of daytrips in our Jeep on the backroads — but it was hard to leave the enjoyment of the camp. The setting is breathtaking: the Two Hearted below a stroll by day and a bonfire under the stars at night. What a secret gem!

Family Friendly Lakefront Cabin on Gooseneck Lake

JessicaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Had the absolute best stay!! Beautiful place right on the lake. We were able to watch the sunrise every morning and take the kayaks out to enjoy the incredible fall foliage along the lake. Place itself was cozy and had all of the amenities we could have asked for! Lindsey was a fantastic host - let us check in a little early, offered for us to check out late if we'd like, was super responsive, and even left us s'mores supplies and cute mugs to take as souvenirs! Within 45 min from Pictured Rocks where we did a beautiful hike as well. Overall had an incredible trip and would definitely stay at this AirBnB again!! We were so sad to leave!

Walt is a great host and the property has an amazing view. I’m sure it’s great year around but it looked like there was even more available in the summer. Feels like the middle of nowhere but just 15 minutes from town if you need something. Will definitely recommend to my friends.

Log Cabin in the Woods

AliciaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Perfect place for our UP trip. The cabin was gorgeous, homey, and had every essential we need plus many additional. The kitchen was well stocked: a delightful coffee bar, crockpot, instapot, pots and pans, sharp knives, etc. You can definitely see the planning and beautiful details that have been given to this cabin. The beds were comfortable. The couches were a dream. The outside was peaceful. We had plenty of space for our family to spread out. Our family was sad to leave this wonderful home. If we ever find ourselves back in the UP, I will definitely book this lovely cabin again.

Brookie Bend at Sunset Pines Resort

TracyRating, 5 stars9 months ago
My boyfriend and I stayed in Cabin #5. We had a great stay! The cabin was the perfect size for two people (and two dogs). It was cute, clean and it had everything we needed for a great base camp for our U.P. adventures, (a small kitchen with pots, pans dishes and utensils, a bathroom with a shower and towels, and comfy bed with linens). The grounds were beautiful and South Manistique Lake was about 100 feet from the cabin. We loved that there was a game room 50 feet away, with a pool table, some tables and chairs and a big, flat screen T.V. We love to shoot pool so after adventuring all day, a couple nights we came back, made some food, poured a drink, and played pool for a bit before heading to bed. Other nights we had a fire in the firepit right outside our cabin. Cabin 5 is a great, no frills cabin. It was perfect especially if you have dogs or kids because it's not luxury where everything is pristine and you have to worry about your kids or dogs breaking everything. Loved it!

U.P. Memories

SabineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Ron is an exceptionally responsive host—before, during, and even after our stay (we accidentally left something behind, and he was quick to help). Unlike other places we've stayed that lacked basics like soap or coffee, this cabin was incredibly well-stocked and thoughtfully equipped. Of course, what truly sets it apart is the stunning view and direct access to the lake. While there’s no grocery store nearby, we came prepared. It’s a perfect family getaway if you appreciate comfort, coziness, and being immersed in beautiful forest and nature. No wonder it's fully booked for the rest of Summer! ;-)

Pictured Rocks Cabin Minutes to Cruises + Beaches

PaigeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and comfortable with modern furniture and linens. Rebecca went above and beyond to make the cabin welcoming with a handwritten note, calming essential oil diffusers, house plants, and lavender bath products. The location was within 15-30 minutes of Pictured Rocks, which makes the cabin a great home base for outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking. Munising is only about 10 minutes away too. We really appreciated the well-stocked kitchen for cooking after a day outdoors. Rebecca was responsive and friendly. We recommend this cabin for a trip to the UP!
