The River House was perfect for our 4-person family vacation to visit the Maritime Museum. The home is exactly what you see in the photos (plus there’s a TV.) There truly isn’t an area of the home that feels ‘out of place’ from the 60s. There are plenty of hangers/closet space/drawers/bathroom storage to settle in and feel at home. I really enjoyed spending time on the back patio watching the birds with my binoculars (and there is a monocular in the living room!) I highly recommend staying here, it was a wonderful experience!

Everything about this rental was perfect. From the location to the description of amenities and features, everything was a great as can be. Pricing was affordable for the time we stayed as well. We’ll definitely be returning in the future.

Great stay in a unique space. Our room was large, comfortable, quiet and clean. The building itself is super cool - a historic property nicely decorated with period furniture, complete with a cute pub, small theater and sitting room. Shared bathroom and coffee area didn’t really feel shared. We didn’t use the outdoor area, but it was well maintained. Michael was a gracious host - available when needed but not overly present. And the cats were playful and friendly. Location is remote - several miles from a decent sized town. Would definitely stay again.

What a great place to stay! We attended races at Road America, and the location was perfect. The house is well-appointed, spotless, and has comfortable beds. Cooking was fun, and this place features some of the newest and best pans I've used in an Airbnb. The host was excellent with my questions and very responsive. I will be back next year!
