This is not often the kind of place to stay on Airbnb. A more than 130-year-old log cabin in the cultural heritage landscape of Suvanto takes its residents on a time journey to a 19th-century Ostrobothnian village. The destination is best suited for lovers of Lapland's nature, history and silence, who are not afraid of the dark in winter or mosquitoes in summer. Please note: there is no public transportation to the village, no toilet in the main building, nor a shower. There is a separate sauna building outside and a traditional outhouse behind the sauna.

Cozy cottage in a quiet location, close to Pyhä Ski Resort, ski trails and Pyhä-Luosto National Park about 140 km from Rovaniemi and Santa Claus village. The cottage has been renovated to the present day and has a well-equipped kitchen. In the downstairs bedroom, a double bed and a wardrobe. One double bed and a workspace on the loft. In addition, the cottage has a fireplace, sauna, washing machine and a drying cabinet. There is an outdoor fire pit in the yard of the cottage for a fire.

Our igloos are 32m² in size and can accommodate two to four persons. The motorized double bed is directly under the glass ceiling. Separate extra beds are made from the sofa. All igloos are equipped with a toilet and a shower, a TV, a drying cabinet for outdoor clothing. All rooms have a well-equipped kitchenette with a fridge, cooking hobs, dinnerware and cutlery, a kettle, a coffee maker, a microwave oven and a dishwasher.

There's a lot of snow in March and April, and the best outdoors.

An absolute gem of Airbnb! We felt just like in a fairytale. Tranquillity in the middle of the forest but close to the villages around with supermarkets. Very well maintained roads around. The house is greatly equipped - there is everything one might need. Already thinking about coming back. Thank you!!!

Very nice chalet where we could completely unwind! We were very sorry that we had only booked for one night. The host was also very reactive and responded within 5 minutes when we had a question about how the sauna works. We only notice one downside: there was only very little wood available for the fireplace, so we could only enjoy the fire for a while.

The bright kitchen area is enhanced by large glass windows showcasing a snowy forest view outside. A wooden dining table is positioned alongside a modern kitchen island, with minimalist seating available. Natural wood panels highlight the warm interior, complemented by subtle lighting fixtures.

We arrived late, having the coded door for check in was a great start. The home was warm and inviting. It had everything you will need, the owners even left us a welcome bottle of Prosecco 😍. Communication from the owners before, during and after was excellent. Highly recommend this accommodation… we saw the northern lights from our bedroom window and I can’t tell you how close you are to the ski slopes. The sauna is like something out of a movie…. We enjoyed an evening in here while watching the kids play in the snow …. Bliss 🙌🏼….Amazing stay start to Finnish

Beautiful accommodation and equipped with everything important. For 4 adults a little small, especially the additional room from the veranda even without possibility to supply clothes. Unfortunately, it does not have direct access to the toilet from this room. There was little space in the shower room for personal belongings to put away.

It was a wonderful experience, totally recommended, to be repeated and stay longer. Vesa is a great host, he was waiting for us even though we were late, access to the cabin was like out of a movie, very nice, with the path lit with natural "candles", by snowmobile. The cabin was very warm, it has everything, it is authentic, cozy, the sauna is great. I loved everything, thank you so much!!
