Large Traditional Farmhouse, Wasdale

EdwardRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Wasdale is one of the most sublime places in England and Santon Bridge is perfectly located on the brink of it. The accommodation is an old farmhouse with a very nice garden and lots of space inside that the online spec does not quite do justice to. It's got excellent wifi and the front porch works very well as a drying room especially if the sun is shining. The TV set up is a little hard to fathom and we managed with our own screens etc. It could do with a modern revamp making use of the wifi. We really loved it.

Rose Cottage - a home from home

KatarzynaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We very much enjoyed the stay in Rose Cottage. Location was perfect. We could enjoy several hours walk starting our route from the cottage or next day drive a bit further for hiking around Scafell Pike. The cottage is clean, comfortable, well equipped and has nice garden with a view of hills also visible from bedrooms. We will be back:-)

Great place to stay with a great view and so close to scafell pike. We struggled to find in the first place but the instructions were clear when on the right road and was our own fault. Can't fault the apartment itself has everything you need.

Serene hamlet on the edges of Coniston Water

Giovanni AntonioRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Brenda is very friendly and hospitable. Staying at hers is almost like visiting a friend, possibly the true essence of Airbnb and old school B&Bs when people opened the doors to their home to strangers and made them feel welcome. Brenda gave me clear instructions to reach the property, and she was there to welcome me when I arrived. She attentively prepared me a tasty and filling breakfast every morning of my stay. Brenda also helped me with precious tips for local walks and exploration. The property has the charm and warmth of a old family home, it’s not pristine or spotless but very functional, comfortable and cosy. Thank you for having me! Giovanni

William Court Cottage

HarryRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A great place to stay. Lovely and quiet in the grounds of Irton Hall. Very well placed for the coast (Ravenglass & Seascale are just a few miles away) and the hills of the Western Lake District (Scafell & Crinkle Crags) are easily accessible within a half hour drive.

Picturesque cottage with decking overlooking river

StevenRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We had a lovely stay in Anne's beautiful farmyard cottage with it's resident chickens, geese and ponies. cottage is traditional, functional, and in a stunning location, with a raised decking patio overlooking the river. It is short drive from Scafell Pike, and we also discovered Mitredale forest at the end of the road when we were leaving. A walk for when we return. The cottage is very remote and every drive is an adventure. Would certainly come again.
