Secluded Cottage in San Diego

AmyRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Lydia was a very responsive host and was really easy to communicate with. We were a little skeptical because we knew we would be staying on the property where she lived with her family and were worried about privacy but the cabin is very private and although we naturally bumped into Lydia and her husband a few times, they did not spend any time out their back yard (where the cabin is located) for the duration of our stay so we had the place and the yard pretty much to ourselves which was great. We didn't realize how far away we would be from shops and restaurants. It is about a 20 minute walk to the nearby town so we did spend a lot of money on ubers but that was our own fault for not doing our research beforehand. Overall Lydias place is very clean and had everything we needed for our stay, she even had some stuff in the fridge and cleaning products which was really convenient. Thank you Lydia for a lovely stay.
A cozy bedroom features a wooden bunk bed with soft green bedding. A nightstand with a lamp is positioned next to the lower bunk, while warm wood paneling decorates the walls. A woven rug lies on the floor, adding texture and warmth to the space.

New! Almost Heaven - Palomar Mountain Getaway

MarahRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a lovely weekend stay! Rowena is a fantastic host. She was warm, responsive, and incredibly helpful. She made our arrival smooth and our experience even more special by answering all our questions promptly, especially when we weren’t able to reach RedAwning directly. Her thoughtful touches, like leaving wine for us, really made a difference! The cabin itself is charming and full of personality. We enjoyed nights around the fire pit under the stars and peaceful mornings birdwatching from the porch. The neighborhood cat even hung out with us! Inside, we loved the quirky features, from the stone basement to the attic bedroom, and we had fun with the board games and projector setup. One thing to keep in mind is the stairs are uneven inside and outside the cabin, which could be tricky for guests who prefer more stable footing. Thanks again for a comfortable, memorable stay!

If you enjoy peace and quiet, far from the hustle and bustle of even a small city, and incredible views from your bedroom window, this place is a must stay! Victoria, our host did a great of communicating and working us to make sure we had all of the necessary details in advance of when we needed them and the house has all you’ll need for your time there. Can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely choose to stay here in the future.

Twin Oaks

CollinRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was our second time at Twin Oaks, bringing our kids along this time, and it was another amazing visit. From the parking right by the kitchen door it’s easy to unload our van and settle in for 3 nights. Two slept soundly in the loft area and the other was on a bed in the sun room. We enjoyed the firm king bed and slept well to! There are no blinds in living room so the view was spectacular though it did mean the kids woke up early. The house was clean and comfortable and easily cooked every meal in the well equipped kitchen. Sandrine is a great host, we have really enjoyed staying with her!

The Partridge Nest on Palomar Mountain

PeterRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was a wonderful stay! Stayed here for our Anniversary, and it could not have been more perfect! The space was really well maintained, and clean! Monica provided a lot recommendations of activities for the weekend stay! When up to Palomar Observatory and took a tour, did a couple of hikes near the state park which were gorgeous!! 10/10 best recommendation by far!! We took the Weir trail all the way down to the little creek and found a nice and shady spot to sit have a little picnic. Spent one night going down to Temecula and had dinner at Baily’s for our anniversary dinner. A fun and friendly dining spot, really friendly staff, with live music. Overall stay was great! Would definitely recommend and stay here again!!

Palomar Mountain Getaway - Little Red’s Foxy Roxy

MattRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Lovely, cozy cabin in the mountains. The inside was clean and welcoming. The kitchen is fully stocked with hardware, we cooked multiple meals each day without wanting for anything. The bed is comfortable, buy very firm. We had a minor issue with the door code, and Denise responded immediately to fix our issue. It is a lovely setting with lots of windows and natural light. We would certainly return.
