Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Saintes

We are very grateful to Ingrid and Hans for their hospitality, responsiveness and perfect communication. The house itself is very cozy and nicely decorated with the spirit of provincial France, the kitchen and other rooms have all the necessary equipment. The location is very calm and favorable, we enjoyed pacific breakfasts in a private courtyard. We would love to stay more in this wonderful house. Thanks again, Ingrid and Hans!

Beautiful stay at Alain's house. Quiet, on a small street with very little traffic but close to the village square (3 min walk). The house is as advertised, well-equipped, spacious and well-decorated. The small garden and its terrace are a real plus to enjoy the beautiful weather!

A gem of a place ! It is not easy to find places in the region that are not exorbitantly expensive or furnished from grandma's leftovers; this hits a perfect note with a mixture of stylish antiques and comfort, everything has been thought of down to the Savon de Marseille in the bathrooms! Clearly lots of love has been poured into the house and it shows, from a well stocked larder with everyday essentials (including coffee pods for the machine) to the lovely welcome hamper. The garden at the back overlooking the old monastery is perfect and very secluded and even though it was only April I managed to eat outside each morning and evening (there are 3 other terraces too). The host is on hand easily for tips on where to eat or visit if needed. Tusson is a great village with a good places to eat including the wonderful Gateaux for amazing cakes.

An excellent stay with a very warm welcome in a very well located house a few minutes from Cognac. All the necessary amenities for a few days, a superb fireplace in case of cold. Beautiful and recommended!

As soon as we arrived, Nicole was welcoming. His house is amazing, perfect in the heat with the pool, but also close to many cities with lots of activity!

Great welcome from Christophe for a single night's stay, we were entitled to small madeleines, coffee, a bed prepared in advance and everything we needed! Unbeatable value for money given the nightly rate! I would highly recommend 😁

We had booked Hermine's house for 9 nights, were very, very friendly received by the co-host Mélanie, who looked after us very nicely in person or by phone during our entire stay with all questions. The house is very nice, cozy and tastefully decorated. The kitchen has everything you need. For us, the location was ideal because we like peace and seclusion. The surrounding villages are very small and tranquil, but you can shop nearby. We did some bike tours, the paths are well developed. We also enjoyed Angoulème very much. All in all a nice stay and perfect care! Merci beaucoup à Mélanie! Note: The stairs to the upper floor are beautiful but not suitable for people who are not good on their feet. You must not enter with shoes, it has no handrail and is very irregular and smooth. But that was no problem for us.

We really liked Thomas’ place. The pool is much better than the photos look and the pool was very clean. A great little seating area under a canopy and plenty of sun loungers. Rarely used by anyone else! Good location for road cycling (road cyclists from UK will find the roads undulating and open). Really nice peaceful setting. Really quiet. WiFi good enough to do video calls to work from the house.

Great apartment and very convenient walking distance to all amenities. Christele is very sweet. The parking is a bit expensive (approx 20eur/day) but the location is convenient. There is no air conditioning so as the weather heats up in the summer it might be uncomfortable to sleep. It was on the edge last week. Opening the windows is loud and welcome mosquitos. Everything else is good.

The apartment is great overall for family of 4. 1 large, but shared bathroom. No separate WC. Some age on the furnishings. Well laid out and had all housewares needed. Decor is curated. Excellent location. Friendly and accommodating host. (AC would have made this an even better stay. )

A one night stay to rest in. Good bath, good and clean beds, with parking.

The apartment is in a great location, minutes walk to the port with restaurants and shops on our doorstep and close to markets etc. Patricia who met us was very helpful and friendly. Our stay was lovely.

Very comfortable house, located in a quiet neighborhood and very tastefully decorated. When the weather is nice, it is really enjoyable on the terraces. We were very warmly welcomed by Nathalie. We received very clear information about the area (sights, cycling routes,...). We are very enthusiastic, both about the house and about the hostess.

Such a wonderful location, so secluded and peaceful. We were welcomed warmly and calmly. The house was spotless, the pool was lovely and warm and the house is much larger than it appears. We particularly liked the huge bed. Coming from England we were excited by the shutters and it was perfectly dark. We slept so well. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. We will be coming back next time we are in France, and next time bringing friends. It was wonderful.

Beautiful house, very good bedding and very well maintained / easy to use (ground floor). The fenced and secure park (with playground) for children - ideal! Living room with wood stove, very pleasant in the evening and cocooning - a haven of peace. Very responsive host on the platform, beach recommendations and easy communication. In short, a great place.

A beautiful beachfront location. A very beautiful family house, tastefully decorated, welcoming and in a peaceful place. We did a lot of walking, in the center of Fouras, within walking distance. You can go to the island of Aix by taking the boat on foot. The weather was nice. Good memories.

Patrice was very welcoming and very responsive on arrival and adaptable to our requests (early check-in and late check-out). The accommodation is very well equipped. Quality bedding. The pool, trampoline, Nordic bath are ideal for young and old. This is the home of Patrice and his children, you must be aware of this at the time of booking.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the villa. Particularly useful having all ensuite bathrooms. Easy to bike into La Flotte or walk along by the sea. The pool was warm and the gas bbq was great as we cooked in a couple of evenings. As mentioned in previous reviews the furnishings were shabby chic which fitted well with the area. Isabelle was very helpful with the check in and out and had many recommendations for places to visit and eat.
