We have a luxury, family-friendly holiday home in Castelnaud-la-Chapelle The house is within walking distance of the château of Castelnaud and close to the river Dordogne. Our house has a fast wifi connection and a heated pool. A short distance away are a restaurant, bakery, butcher and small supermarket. Our house is a 15 min. drive from Sarlat in the heart of the Golden Triangle of the Dordogne. Dichtbij Beynac, Château Marquessac, Château Les Milandes en la-Roque-Gageac.

This was a very charming, quiet and very well located place to stay! With plenty of room for everyone and separate areas to relax in, even with 15 people. Annaick was super friendly, accommodating and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend if you're two or three families hoping to rent something together in the Dordogne.

We had the most wonderful holiday at Stephane and Bob's beautiful gite. They are very friendly and thoughtful hosts who have a fabulous home and garden. Nathalie and Tim were such extraordinary hosts! My family and I had a wonderful time staying in their beautiful home! The house itself is perfect for cooking, relaxing, and spending time together. We were able to enjoy the wonderful gardens and the pool all day and watch the sunset from our patio each evening. Such a stunning and relaxing atmosphere. The best part was how well taken care of we felt all week. Nathalie helped organize a tour of local vineyards, scheduled a wine tasting by the pool, and cooked dinner for us all on 2 evenings. She also had great local restaurant and market recommendations! We also loved our morning chocolatines and croissants! They were extremely kind and accommodating throughout the trip - delivering bottles of wine when we ran short, lending us a pot so that we could cook a big stew one night, and even working a miracle helping me removing a grenadine stain from a white dress I bought at a local market. I can’t recommend this wonderful home enough!

The house is located in a secluded plot surrounded by woodland and with amazing views over the countryside. It has comfy beds, a modern kitchen with everything you need, a gas BBQ, a huge deck with outdoor seating and of course the lovely heated swimming pool. It is truly peaceful yet within an easy drive of Montignac with its supermarkets and riverside eateries. Saint Amand de Coly is a great base for exploring the Dordogne by car, with lots to see, visit and do within just half an hour’s drive and more further afield. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this super property.

We had a lovely stay on the Sarlat side. The accommodation offered is as described, the bedding is pretty good. One small thing: remember to bring your utensils for the BBQ. The pool is nice, but only one of the 2 was open when we stayed. On the other hand, it's often hard to fully enjoy it because of the world and the kids jumping on you... A guide sheet is available in the home with local must-sees. Thanks again to Michel for hosting us.
