Great location, walkable to beach and restaurants. Nice living space opens out to covered deck and garden, would be very nice once pool renovation is complete. House is mostly cool with summer weather, note there is no central air conditioning. We did not need it during our stay. Minor improvements could be kitchen utensils update ie knives that are sharp, lids for pots etc, consider rubbish bins in bathrooms and shampoo/conditioners. Tissues in house. Hairdryer was missing however when informed, one was delivered to house within the hour. Very responsive hosts. Would stay with them again.

Rosetta & James provided snacks in the pantry and drinks and nibbles also in the fridge, and chocolates, such generous hosts who are super friendly. We stayed a month in Celia's house and enjoyed the quiet surroundings, the proximity to Mission Bay, Orakei Domain and good shopping opportunities. Celia welcomed us into the house and showed us around the very homely accommodation with everything you need. There is a nice bike path from Orakei Domain into the city center, and good opportunities to rent or buy used bikes. A huge luxury was the wonderful view you have from the house over Orakei and Auckland harbor, we enjoyed it every day and evening from the terrace. Celia was a lovely host and always quick to respond to any questions and queries. Would love to go back.

Loved the rain shower and the super comfy couch for lazing around in the evenings. Centrally located to all the great eateries of Ponsonby, Mt Eden, Viaduct Harbour and Dominion Road are a short, cheap Uber away. Loved it :)

Our stay at Jitka and Micheal’s place was amazing! Jitka was very response and helpful in accommodating our check-in time. The space itself was clean, had everything we needed, and is in a wonderful location! We were able to walk everything we wanted to do during our short stay in Auckland.
