The Vinery is a bright, self-contained studio within beautiful surroundings. Rolling countryside views to Radwinter Church make this a peaceful and restful stay. River and village walks are highly recommended. We welcome dogs; we have two of our own. Close by is the medieval market town of Saffron Walden. Cambridge, Stansted Airport, London and the village pub are all within easy access. Sorry, no smokers.
“We were very impressed with our recent stay within The Vinery. Helen was very friendly & made us feel very welcome at her accommodation. We were offered lots of useful tips including restaurants in Saffron Walden as an alternative to the local pub. As we also enjoy looking around antique & second hand places- a trip to Reeds was also a great recommendation. Saffron Walden has many interesting streets & buildings to discover on foot plus an impressive church in the town centre.”
Lovely, modern and clean two bedroom house with south west facing garden. 10 minute walk to town, 15-20 min walk to Audley End Estate. Children and pet friendly house, great dog walks around and parks in the town. A short drive (30 min) or train (15 min) to Cambridge and close to London (nearest train station Audley End). *Two bedrooms, one king size bed and one double bed* *Great for travelling business professionals, visiting family and tourists. Free WiFi.
“We stayed in Florence’s place for 11 nights inbetween moving house. We found the house really comfy and warm and it had a nice homely feel. The kitchen was well equipped with a great hob/oven and all the cooking utensils you might need. There were lots of condiments, spices etc in the cupboards which came very handy. Florence also left a few things for us in the fridge which was a lovely touch. She was very easy to communicate with.”
My place is close to restaurants and dining, art and culture, and family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the comfy bed, the outdoors space, the neighbourhood, and the light. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.
“This is a fantastic place. Quietly located on the edge of town (perfect for long distance walkers like us - you come off the HarCamLow Way at Byrd’s Farm Lane and it takes you right there) but a short walk into the historic centre. It’s a lovely room, with a much-needed ceiling fan, and just about every type of tea you could possibly want. Really lovely bathroom with loads of products, and the breakfast room also has a sofa guests can chill out on. But the best thing of all is Serena herself. Her and her husband are such great hosts. Their warmth really shine through and they made us feel so at home. We only live in Cambridge and wouldn’t have thought of staying in Walden if we hadn’t wanted a stop off for our hike. But we will return soon so that we can enjoy Serena’s hospitality again.”
