We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Straguth. The small apartment is really well equipped, especially The kitchen and bathroom are very modern and nicely decorated. The well-kept garden invites you to linger in fine weather. The contact with Annette was also always lightning-fast and friendly. The dog mentioned in other reviews, opposite the bedroom window, actually barks some nights but this is not a problem with earplugs.

Sebastian and Jane are very pleasant and friendly hosts. Both check-in and check-out were very easy and flexible. The apartment was very cozy and clean. Everything you need was there. The entire apartment was very clean and modern. Parking is plentiful just down the road.

Because of a family celebration, we needed a place to stay. The apartment was great. Here you can also endure it well for more than 4 days :) . The bathroom and kitchen each had windows and also the possibility to wash, we liked it very much. The kitchen is well equipped with a stove, oven and kettle, so you can also cook food. The main living room is a good size. We had plenty of room for our suitcases and the suitcase contents. All in all - we were very satisfied and will come back.

Charming estate house with park & private bathing area

I recommend this place highly if you are willing to rough it a bit. We loved staying here, to escape Berlin for New Year’s (we stayed December 30 through January 2). It’s an unforgettable place, a sort of 19th century (or earlier?) manor house or villa and if it’s not haunted by a ghost or two, it ought to be. It has retained its old world charm, being heated by coal or wood-burning stove (kitchen) and a pellet burner in what we called the reading room (we were all enthusiastic readers). The manor has an imperial quality, with beautiful paintings, taxidermy and hunting trophies, and small lithographs of Napoleon (the conquest of Madrid), and one of his Swiss generals (whose name I forget). There are many hunting trophies on the walls—small antelopes from Africa, probably; a moose; a wild boar; and many deer. There is a large dining hall for the gentry, but we—we were six adults—found the servants dining room off the kitchen nicer, warmer, more intimate, more comfortable, and convenient
