Filwood is a suburban neighbourhood designed in the 1930s as a Garden City as part of the Homes Fit for Heroes Housing Act after the First World War. Built as Council housing, this inter-war red-brick housing estate is typical of its period. There is a strong community ethos and you will be staying at its heart in the grounds of the Filwood Community Centre. The location is just a 10 minute drive from the city centre and Temple Meads railway station. You are 5 minutes walk from the Knowle West Media Centre who, along with Filwood CC, are partners in the We Can Make project. The KWMC is a vibrant community arts and media centre where you can find out much more about the We Can Make project and other cool stuff. Filwood CC has a delightful courtyard and gardens with a locally run café that does a variety of coffees, homemade cakes and hot meals. They also do a mean bacon and egg sandwich. Ashton Gate football ground is just 5 minutes away if you’re a football or rugby fan. Home to Bristol City Football Club and Bristol Rugby.
  • Really nice little cabin and fantastic value!

  • A very comfortable little home which met all our needs and was very quiet.. it's an unusual community project in an unusual location, but if you like something different try it - we loved it !

  • Awesome Eco apartment to stay in

    Rebecca2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • A very cosy and well presented place to stay. Close to local amenities we explored a bit of Bristol and was close to most things in a car.

  • Nice place to stay and a bit different - basically exactly as described and in the photos!

    Seiriol2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We booked the TAM as a fairly last minute booking as a birthday weekend stay. The description of the location is accurate and it is situated within a gated community centre with secure locked gate system. The TAM provides everything we needed to just walk in and live for the weekend. We chose the TAM as are very interested in Eco friendly and sustainable living and this didn't disappoint. Even the paint on the walls has been created from natural materials. There is a supermarket only a 5 minute drive away so we were able to cook our own meals with ease. A very comfortable stay in a very clean and unique property.

  • Everything is clean and the tiny house is very nice. Really enjoyed our stay.

    Kim2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • The Ecohouse was perfect for our few nights getaway in Bristol... it had everything we needed, kitchen has all mod cons, and the essentials of course tea, coffee, oil, condiments and more bits . Bed was lovely ,soft and cosy with extra blankets and pillows if needed. Power shower en suite , lots of storage... Living space is big open plan with big patio doors on to a decking and little garden. Television with lots of channels & WiFi x We love to drive everywhere, (but I’m sure it’s pretty easy for getting about on Public transport )apart from getting an Uber to the O2 academy for our gig which I think was about £9 which we thought was reasonable. ....we parked my car on the street outside the house , as we weren’t sure we could park inside the gated area.

This private bedroom is one of 3 guest rooms within an indoor courtyard (atrium), all set in a self built Eco house, surrounded by woods, scrap, art and artists, workshops, walks, etc...if you are in need of creative inspiration or encouragement , or you just want a quiet couple of nights in the country.. That's us!! 10 miles from Bath and Bristol. Close to Glastonbury, Wells, Stonehenge.
What makes it unique ? Well, what doesn't!! First of all I would suggest reading some of our reviews. We are very proud to have over 600 reviews across our 3 listings, and you won’t find many that are unhappy :-). There are probably not many places like this (in England at least)... It's more like a West Coast USA house as seen in Lloyd Khans amazing books (look him up). This is our own self-built eco house set in 5 or 6 acres of its own land. The house itself is in a private area, but within the grounds of the property there are many other spaces including a therapy suite ( you can book separately for massage, acupuncture, hypnotherapy etc) , workshops for metal and woodwork, recording and rehearsal studio, a part time vegan cafe, a huge and eclectic collection of obscure artefacts from aeroplanes to gypsy caravans, and anything in between!! It is also home to upwards of 20 other people who are engaged in work with circus/ festivals and events management. There is an early stage forest garden , solar hot water and electric and more being added daily. There is always something new at Rockaway! If you're looking for somewhere fastidiously neat and tidy or you're scared of spiders it's probably not for you , but if you like what you see, we'd love to have you here ....,( although of course we do our best to keep it neat and tidy, I am just trying to put off over- fussy guests :-) We like to think we understand the ethos of Airbnb and the desire to change the world for the better by encouraging conversation and the sharing of ideas. We have found the whole experience to be thoroughly rewarding and we hope you will too. Please note we have another (cheaper) room available in the house, with two single beds and a shared toilet, and also an apartment that can sleep 4 comfortably. We are able to accommodate extra people, so if you're traveling with kids or friends and think our listed rooms are too small to fit all of you, please enquire. Look forward to meeting you. Mark and Marta
The house is set in approx 6-7 acres of land part of which used to be a scrapyard and some of which we still run as such. There are woods and great walks very close by and good bus connections for Bristol, Bath, Wells and Glastonbury. We are about half a mile from the village of Temple Cloud in a secluded, redundant stone quarry. There are mature oak trees all around the house and the site. We still run a van dismantling business from the adjacent yard and help out from time to time with artistic projects involving scrap, including photography, film and video projects. If you're looking for inspiration or looking to meet people to help further your ideas and plans , we may be able to point you in the right direction or hook you up with the right people... I'm hoping that the B and B will just help to make further and far reaching connections and not just be a soulless interaction... Of course though we are just as happy for people to come and just chill. Tourist attractions in the area include: Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury Tor, Roman Baths, Wells Cathedral, Wooky Hole Caves, Bristol city and all it's attractions from amazing graffiti art to Brunel's architectural achievements.
  • A friendly welcome and a comfortable stay at an eccentric and amazing venue.

  • Marta and Mark are the most amazing hosts! Their home, which we shared for two nights, is exceptionally beautiful. We enjoyed every second of our stay and we left already planning for our next visit. This place is one of kind!

  • Amazing stay!!!! What a gem. Can't wait to come back

    Laura2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • From the first moment we felt home in this house. Everything was clean and of good quality. Even in winter time we never felt cold in our two rooms. Kitchen well equipped and good beds to sleep. Thank you!

    Adrian2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Marta’s house is the most unique place i have ever seen. You could spend an entire day just inside her house, unfortunately we were there only for a day and couldn’t spend as much time as we would have liked to. She made us a delicious breakfast and even invited us to eat with her. I highly recommend her house for anyone who is visiting bath or Bristol. Her house is a 20 min drive to either places. Will definitely look forward to staying at her house whenever we visit Bath again.

  • Very cool and off beat vibe with plenty of nature close by. Relax and the the location worked perfectly for me to do day trips to Glastonbury, Bristol and Cheddar. It was a fun stay. I also enjoyed chatting with some of the other guests that were staying there. It had a nice community sorta vibe.

Treat yourselves to a relaxing stay in the beautiful Chew Valley. Set in peaceful, rural countryside yet within easy reach of Bath, Bristol and Wells, The Granary at Manor Farm is a beautiful old stone barn that has been converted to provide all the comforts you need for the perfect break. Bright and spacious with high ceilings, exposed beams, splashes of colour, contemporary furniture and access to an indoor pool and extensive gardens. ***Good Homes Magazine selected The Granary as one of their top ten 'Best UK Airbnbs with Stunning Interiors'.***
The Granary at Manor Farm is on the upper half of a traditional Somerset stone barn. The accommodation comprises a bright, spacious open plan living and kitchen area plus a bedroom and bathroom. All rooms enjoy high ceilings, original oak beams and lots of light from the south facing windows. We have designed it to be private, peaceful and to take full advantage of the views across the garden and lovely Somerset countryside beyond. The Granary benefits from underfloor heating throughout and a Morso wood burning stove, so plenty of comfort for those who enjoy a quiet night in. Where possible we have retained or recycled features from the Granary’s previous incarnations to achieve an appealing blend of the old and rustic with the new and comfortable. The furniture and fabrics are all new. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher and large Liebherr fridge freezer. In the living area there's a TV, Freesat and blu-ray player. The bedroom is simply furnished with a kingsize divan bed and high quality 400tc cotton bedlinen. The bathroom has a free-standing bath with a separate, spacious dual-head rain shower and a double basin. Outside, we hope you will enjoy the extensive garden which we open one day each summer for the National Garden Scheme. There are lovely areas to sit and we can lend you a barbecue if you would like to enjoy some al fresco dining. Beyond the garden we have a couple of paddocks which are (usually) occupied by sheep, and the garden is surrounded by fields, so it is not over-looked. You will also have access to our indoor heated swimming pool and conservatory area in the lower half of the Granary building. Please let us know in advance when you would like to use the pool and we can make sure that you have exclusive access at the arranged time. We provide towels and bedlinen, soap and kitchen essentials. Our welcome basket includes milk, bread, tea, coffee and home made preserves. If the dates you are looking for aren't available don't forget we also have Manor Farm B&B listed on Airbnb. A huge, luxurious en-suite bedroom, delicious breakfast and the use of the swimming pool!
Stowey is in the heart of the Chew Valley on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Chew Valley Lake offers first class opportunities for fishing, sailing and birdwatching. Rural walks and bike rides can be accessed from the door and we are right on the edge of the Mendips with further opportunities to explore the beautiful Somerset countryside. There are many great pubs & restaurants close by including the Michelin starred Pony & Trap. Bristol, Bath and Wells are all easily reached.
  • Immaculately clean, wonderfully peaceful and quiet, stylishly decorated, very warm (underfloor heating throughout), super comfortable beds and delicious homemade bread and jams. We stayed for our mini moon and enjoyed it so much we didn't want to leave. Richard is lovely and very responsive. Absolutely book this place.

  • This place is wonderful, we were welcomed with freshly baked bread and homemade jams! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook ourselves dinner. The bed was super comfy and everything was very clean. the view from this place was beautiful, and when the sun sets its really something! A nice touch to this place was the underfloor heating throughout, and the log burner, we stayed in March so it was quite cold out, but the flat remained very cosy and we didn't want to leave! Would highly recommend Richards place, and would definitely come again.

    Abigail2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Granary is a beautiful place to stay with lovely surroundings. We were so comfortable, and really felt like home. The homemade jam and bread were great (and much appreciated). Richard was a great host and we’re already planning our return trip!

  • We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the coziness of Richard & family’s place during a rainy weekend. As other guests have commented, the welcome basket was a delicious touch and Richard made sure to be available to us whenever a question arose. Would recommend to anyone in need of a country retreat.

Come and stay in our newly refurbished delightful private annexe in the lovely Windmill Hill area. It is 20 minutes walk to the docks and centre, 3 minutes from food shops. Cosy up by the wood-burning stove or sit out in a private garden.
Our gorgeous little flat is an annexe at the bottom of the garden that we have lovingly converted out of a double garage. It has its own private entrance, so you will be totally self-contained, although we are only 100 feet away if you need us! It is really light and airy , as has high ceilings with velux windows, normal windows, and even a stained glass panel that a friend made especially for the place. There is a living room with a kitchen area. The kitchen area has wood work tops, and brand new appliances (which I wish I had in our own house!). The living area has a sofa, which converts into a very comfy sofa bed, a table and chairs and a woodburning stove, which heats the place up amazingly quickly, and is so cosy to sit in front of. There is a tv set up with Virgin media and loads of channels, and broadband. There are French doors which leads into the bedroom, which has a brand new bed, and storage. There is a shower/toilet room which leads off form bedroom. From the bedroom there is a back door, which leads you out to your own private garden, with a bench and some lovely planting, and 2 apple trees. Extra wood for the fire is stored under the bench for you to help yourself to.
Windmill hill is a very community spirited friendly neighbourhood. There are lots of community events, eg music in the park, arts trail, street parties, bonfire night, concerts in the church, fun day in park. It is right beside one of the nicest parks in Bristol, and conveniently located near the centre, but without seeming too busy.
  • Very welcoming place with nice breakfast. A bit cold the first night but the fireplace warms the room quickly. The bed is really comfy. Thanks!

Immaculate and fully equipped house located on a quiet street in bustling Bedminster. Fantastic transport links. Ideal for exploring Bristol. Perfect for pleasure or work visits.
The house is fully equipped with fresh clean bedding and good quality pillows, we have 2 sofa's in the living room and a dining room for 6, the two reception rooms and good sized kitchen give a great feel of space. All three bedrooms are double, the two smaller rooms are not massive but each have smart TV's, wardrobe's, drawers and large mirrors. The main bedroom is very spacious. A handmade Kingsized bed is the centrepiece of the room. The bathroom is on the ground floor and benefits from a huge shower, the water pressure is great. To the outside we have an enclosed courtyard garden with no rear access, this makes the property feel very secure. We have also added a locked shed that will easily fit 3 bikes. The garden is very pretty and has a patio table and chairs. All in all the house is beautifully decorated throughout, very clean and comfortable.
Our house is located in a quiet street just off of West Street in Bedminster which is located in the South of the City, and has a great vibe. With trendy bars and restaurants of North Street about .7 of a mile and Ashton Gate Stadium about the same distance. We have shops just at the bottom of the street and through a footway, newsagents, café and fish and chip shop. There is a great climbing centre just a few hundred metres away. The transport links are outstanding, we have buses and trains galore. If you are driving we can always park on our street and we have no residents scheme.
  • Lovely property, lots of lovely little touches made it a great experience. The bed was SO comfortable too, I normally sleep badly the first night away from home but I slept like a baby in the lovely bed. I will book this again if I ever need to go to Bristol and would recommend it for sure, fish and chip shop nearby was delicious too

There were a lot of local information provided, especially breakfast recommendations which (unfortunately) I didnt get to try out due to having to work the next morning. Communication from booking up until arriving was fantastic and Bonnie is a great host. I definitely recommend this place to anyone needing a short stay! Thank you for being an amazing host!

  • Very clean & modern , quick response to messages and very amenable host for late arrival. Comfortable beds & Great shower!

    Chloe2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A very clean and quiet place to stay. Perfect for our needs. My fiancé and I wanted somewhere quiet to relax for the night after spending the day in Bristol and found this the perfect place. The beds were very comfortable and we both slept very well. The bathroom was clean and the shower nice and powerful. A kettle with tea/coffee making facilities were provided, as well as a tv. Our host let us know that there were some local places we could go out and eat but as we had already eaten in Bristol we did not go out for food so unable to comment about what they are like. Overall, we had a comfortable stay and will not hesitate to book again if we are ever in the same area, cannot fault at all!

    Rachel2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We only stayed for one night but it was a perfect little stopover. Lovely clean and modern room with tea and coffee making facilities.

    Nicole2020-02-24T00:00:00Z

    Amy2020-02-21T00:00:00Z

    Vitaly2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had a very comfortable stay in Alison and Ian's lodge. We were happily welcomed shortly after we arrived (around 10pm), directed to parking and shown everything we needed inside the annex. Everything was spotless, the annex was warm and cosy throughout our stay; comfortable bed and powerful shower which is a huge plus for us! There were also two hot water bottles to warm the bed when we pulled back the sheets which was a lovely touch, particularly considering the late time and weather we arrived in. Despite the high-winds and rain at the time, the annex was very peaceful, secure and quiet, helped by being situated a little off of the main road through Chew Stoke village. Cutlery and plates were left in case we wanted to bring a takeaway/food back (which we did on our final night – a curry from The Stoke Inn Raj – 1-minute walking distance. Delicious and great for hot spice lovers!) as well as a guide recommending local eateries, Wifi code provided as well as gate code. The local pub, The Stoke Inn, also offers Sky Sports and BT (plus very reasonably-priced alcohol) which we (my partner) very much enjoyed for the Liverpool game! Sit-in food and takeaway options were also available. Location was just perfect for what we wanted: in the heart of the countryside whilst only being 20-minutes from Bristol City Centre one way and the gorgeous Cheddar Gorge 20-minutes the other, not far from Uphill Beach and Brean Sands, as well as Chew Valley Lake only a 3-minute drive away. Food options were plentiful with Chew Kitchen being a 7-minute walk away, Woodford Lodge overlooking Chew Valley Lake only 3-minutes’ drive or 20-minute walk away (both of which offered wonderful breakfasts/brunch) and Plume of Feathers only 15-minutes away in Blagdon. We also would recommend Riverstation Café near Queen’s Square in Bristol City – very easy to get to, big parking area right next to it and overlooks the river and colourful houses of Bristol. We only stayed for 3-nights so wasn’t able to explore much else (also considering Storm Dennis’ arrival) however we felt we had a lovely initial explore of the Bristol area, returning home feeling calm and very well looked after by the West Country – would hugely recommend - a real haven after a busy and blustery day out!

A beautifully creative, practical cottage dating back to the 16th century. It’s cool in the summer, cozy in winter with a huge fireplace and wood burner. Giving you an immediate sense of calm, it is a great house to come together and connect. The cottage is in a quiet rural location with a lovely aspect to the front and rear, overlooking gardens - plenty of space for alfresco dining and places to chillax. DO CONTACT if you have a special request on dates when cottage is 'blocked'.
It works and we have made it so you feel at home - A 'holiday' cottage that is perfect to slow down, relax and entertain. It is in a great position to explore the South West ...we are so lucky! The downstairs accommodation is open plan with the kitchen opening out in a large dining table and then extending to a seating area with log burner. The first floor has three double rooms, one of which has an ensuite bathroom with shower and there is a family bathroom with bath and shower. The second floor is accessed by steep stairs to a large attic room which has a queen double bed, two single beds and a cabin bed. The attic has a wash basin. Most of the time Andy sleeps in the garden room beyond the house and may use the annexe which is accessed separately from the Airbnb space but which is attached to the cottage. Note: Codrington is an old cottage and has original stairs which are steep and may not be ideal if you have mobility issues.
We are so lucky to live where we are and we love to share it. We are 200m from the Stanton Drew stone circle. You can walk North, East, South and West and discover beautiful countryside and within an easy walk you can enjoy fab views over Bristol, the Severn estuary, North Devon and the Mendips - perfect strolls that can incorporate Chew Magna, Pensford and the Michelin starred Pony and Trap. By car we are 20 minutes drive from Bristol and thirty minutes from Bath and Wells.
  • The cottage was perfect for a group of girls wanting to hang out, eat and chat. Super conveniently close to Bristol and Bath also. Andy was super accommodating and helpful. Would highly recommend.

  • 10/10! Me & my friends had a fantastic weekend at the cottage celebrating my 30th birthday. The cottage itself was fantastic, the perfect space for socialising and cooking. The location was also outstanding, a beautiful area with lovely walks and an excellent pub a stone throw away. Highly recommend!

  • Andy’s place is a beautiful cottage, full of charm and homely touches. Wonderful wood burner in the living room was all set ready for us. Kitchen is very well equipped, and as we were doing lots of cooking this was appreciated by us all. Steep stairs upstairs to well appointed bedrooms and bathroom. Our children all loved the loft room! Had a great weekend at Andy’s place and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone heading to that area. The village it is in is very quiet and peaceful which was a delight.

  • Fantastic place to spend Christmas in the countryside. Some of the family were particularly excited by the very close proximity to the stone circle. A couple of things were not working but Andy was around to fix them quickly.

  • Andy's place is full of the charm you would expect in a country cottage. We found it big enough for 10 adults and 2 babies and had a great weekend. Thanks for letting us stay in your home :)

  • Where can i start? The experience in James and Nicky's house was wonderful! They made me feel at home from the beginning and I spent only good time with them! Their house is not far from the airport of Bristol, located in a very quiet area, very well served by buses that go directly to the city center. The room was really comfortable and with everything I needed. I also met Mister Watson and Meowgi, two of the cutest pets in the universe <3 ...and yes, James sometimes listens to music in his studio: but always and only very good music ;) Thank you guys... I will miss you a lot.

Being centrally located in the village of Chew Stoke, we’re a short step from The Stoke Inn, Indian restaurant, Pizzeria and shop.

  • We had such a lovely time at Janies place. She provided such a lovely breakfast variety; cereals, fruit, bread, jams, milk, OJ, drinks. It was greatly appreciated. A book of local shops and attractions was left for us. The place was so cosy and clean and when we came back one evening, they had put some lovely christmas lights up outside. It felt very homely and we felt very welcome. Would highly recommend this to others and also great hospitality for the price! We will definitely book again if we are heading that way! Thank you so much again x

The bedroom is a cosy double perfect for guests, fitted with double bed, bedside draws and a good sized wardrobe. Wifi of course included. You'll also have use of the kitchen, with cooking and eating utensils, living and dining room. There's also a beautifully large garden with deck chairs to enjoy. Situated off Airport road, within 20 mins walk of South Bristol Community Hospital, Hengrove Park, and large stores. Bus stops to town are close, allowing transport to Temple Meads in 20-30mins.
You're free to make of it what you will. Whether you're just after a place to sleep after exploring the city, or prefer to hang around the house and watch tv or play in the garden, the choice is yours. It's near enough to town and they're plenty of space in the house to do either of those things. Expect me to chat and check everything's ok. Otherwise I'll mostly crack on with my own things. The area is residential and so it's quiet in the evening and I like it that way. So whatever you do expect a good rest at the end of the day. The bed is very comfortable :)
Residential. But with good local amenities such as a large supermarket, cinema and several fast food outlets.
  • Charles is a very chilled and kind person. You straight away feel at home. You can cook, wash your clothes, watch TV. There is no restrictions such as having a curfew or not being allowed to cook certain foods. He gave me a great list of recommendations for me to explore Bristol. You can get the m1 bus into the centre in about 30mins. Very easy to get about. I will stay again.

    Katie2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Charles has a lovely home with a great spare room. The room is bright and clean. You have access to the entire house if you choose to use it. His home is the one of the few on the southern side of Bristol, making it convient if you are working on that side of town. His home is close to the express bus stop if you need to get into town.

We are in a lovely quiet residential area but still only 15-20 min drive into town. (30 minute by bus) Our house backs onto a lovely wooded area and has a large decking area where you can sit and have your breakfast (English weather permitting!) Sorry but the lounge is private.
Headley Park is a lovely, quiet residential area. We are only 25-30 minutes to bristol city centre which has hundreds of shops, bars and restaurants. Ideal for visiting Bath, Bristol, Wells, Cheddar Gorge, Chew Valley Lake (all within 10-12 miles drive) plus Longleat, Glastonbury, Stourhead, Tyntesfield, Stone Henge etc...(all within an hour or so)

Gorgeous elevated garden apartment. Double bedroom with king size bed, shower room with power shower, fabulous kitchen and sitting space overlooking classic old English country garden.
Our west facing garden apartment has been built in old stone from the loft of an old barn. Looking directly over our garden, you can watch the sun going down in the evening sitting in our comfy chairs with a glass of chilled Prosecco!! Accessed up old stone steps we are sadly not suitable for the disabled or children but perfect for couples. A roomy king size bed, power shower and a kitchen with dishwasher, oven, espresso machine and fridge freezer holds everything you will need to enjoy the perfect getaway. Folding doors open onto the garden giving wonderful light in your living space, and a table and chairs is on the outside patio for when the weather allows. The whole apartment is for your sole use and should have everything you need. If you can give us notice we will endeavour to provide you with any extras you may require. We will meet and greet you, show you where to park your car, check you have everything you need and then allow you to enjoy your stay. We have our own hens so fresh free range eggs will be in your kitchen when you arrive together with all the basics you need to cook your first breakfast. We would love you to tell us if there is anything you feel is missing in the apartment so we can put that right, if possible, straight away. Stanton Drew is a delightful village with a church, a farm, a small pub, and a village hall. It is friendly and quiet, some young families live nearby so noises you may hear will be children playing and birds singing and the church bells, and a tractor trundling by, but we love living here and we think you will too! Ideally you need to get here by car! As far as public transport is concerned, there is a bus service from the village to Bristol but it is not frequent so it is not ideal! We are about six miles/15 minutes from Bristol airport so we are a perfect overnight stay before or after your holiday or business trip abroad. We are happy to arrange transport to and from the airport if you require. The beautiful city of Bath is easy access too, just a 25 minute car journey will get you into the centre of Bath or 20 minutes to the park and ride bus service into the city. There is lots to see in Bath, museums, the Roman Baths and of course great shops!!!! Chew Magna is two miles by car or a lovely walk over the fields if you prefer. There you will find a selection of pubs, a post office a butcher and a small supermarket. Chew Valley Lake is also within easy reach. A local beauty spot for fishermen and walkers alike.

  • Lovely little place in a quiet area in Stanton Drew. The pair are great hosts and were in contact the whole time leading up to our stay. During our stay they left us to our own accord but we're always reachable if need be. Not too far from Bath or Bristol for a little trip and plenty of countryside to go for walks. Fabulous little stay!

This is a comfortable, warm room with a view, with a great view and Wifi The bathroom is shared with one other, kitchen can be available by arrangements, for short and simple food preparations. Space in the fridge can be arranged, or a private cool box in your room. I am a busy, friendly person, often in a rush to my next thing. Happy to help and stop for an occasional chat, but usually busy with my own life. I expect my guests to be busy with their lives and be out a lot, working or having fun.
This room is cosy, with a double bed, the views of the grassy square with treas, with generous storage, good space to study or rest.
  • The host is wonderful, though she's busy doing her own things she's helpful if you need something. It's like living in her house. She has a dog called Coco and she's a great addition. She loves everyone. The room is nice and quiet. There is a corner shop about 50m away and is close to buses. They even run quite late. I'd stay here again if I was coming back to Bristol

  • An absolutely beautiful room and ensuite in the lovely village of Chew Magna. We received the most amazing hospitality from Andrea and Roger and loved every day of our stay. The room was super clean and payed out nicely. The check in experience was easy and we could come and go as we pleased with respect to the house and family of course. I recommend booking a massage with Andrea as it’s one of the best I’ve had and I’ve had many, plus it’s just on the doorstep. There is yoga within the neighbourhood, a lovely cafe to let time escape you as well as local pubs and nature. Highly recommend this stay.

    Krysta2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, what a lovely stay! I was here just for one night but I’m so grateful to Andrea and Roger for their outstanding warmth and hospitality. The room is absolutely beautiful, decorated like a 5 star hotel with Andrea’s wonderful taste. When I arrived, Andrea and Roger went above and beyond to give me a vacuum and supplies to clean up my rental car. There was a small issue with the drain in the bathroom, and while Roger fixed it Andrea offered me a free aromatherapy massage, which was heavenly! The combination of their lovely energy and their beautiful home, in such a sweet and beautiful town with ancient sacred sites nearby makes this a really special place. I highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area.

Whilst the room we offer is cosy & compact, it has everything you need....towel rail, mirror, coat hooks, hairdryer, shelved wardrobe, comfortable double bed (with room to store suitcases/bags under), lamp, 4 x plug sockets for all your electronics & bedside table. The lounge has a good size TV which you're more than welcome to use (NETFLIX & AMAZON PRIME only) though the views from your room are far better than watching TV! We welcome you to share our, lounge/diner, bathroom, kitchen (see house manual) and garden whilst you're here...... There is ample on street parking directly outside the house. Location; 1 min walk from the no. 90 bus stop (to and from Bristol City Centre) 7 - 10 min drive/30 min walk from Bristol Temple Meads (main train station) 5 min drive/15 min walk to Bedminster Train Station 35 min walk to city centre 20 min walk to Bedminster/North Street 7- 10 min walk to the nearest convenience store We like to ensure guests feel free to interact as much or as little as they choose with us. I (Katherine) do part of my work from home, so we do ask that guests are respectful of this in terms of noise levels etc. I run a small Pilates studio for personal training, guests are more than welcome to book a session whist staying with us at a discounted rate! Please be sure to read ALL the information in our listing (inc. check-in/out info) before booking to ensure it's suitable for you. Kind Regards Katherine & Jayme
We live on a friendly, family oriented cul-de-sac that benefits from stunning views (that can be seen from the garden and surrounding fields). No through traffic for a quiet night's sleep. During the day the kids are out playing on the street, a mixture of council and private tenants occupy the terraced houses.
  • Very handy location. Very nice people with a very friendly dog.

  • Amazingly hospitable hosts,; very informative and helpful in every possible aspect. Convenient location just outside of the city centre, with the bus to the city centre only taking 20mins. Everything was super clean and cozy, even providing tea/coffee, basic breakfast essentials and use of the kitchen and living spaces. Highly highly recommend if you're ever planning on staying in Bristol!

  • Katherine and Jayme are incredibly friendly and chilled out. Very easy to talk to and helpful with suggestions about the local area. The room is cosy with exceptional views across Bristol and the Clifton bridge. Their dog is super friendly and apart from getting pestered for strokes you wouldn’t know she was there too.

  • To be honest, I was quite tempted not to give Nita and her place a glowing review... but that’s only because I don’t want to find that she’s all booked up next time I’m in Bristol! In truth, Nita is a fabulous, welcoming host, with a lovely home. I was immediately comfortable and really appreciated the extra efforts she had made to make guests welcome. As she says herself, Nita is chatty... that’s a good thing, right? Highly recommended!

    Chris2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful stay ! Cannot praise Nita enough. A beautiful, stylish and modern home and made to feel so welcoming. Extremely clean and tidy. Felt very at home and wasn’t confined to one area like other places. Nita was so welcoming and anything I needed she was on hand. Loverly little touched in the bedroom like spare toiletries that we all forget. 5 star would highly recommend

    Sophie2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Another great staying in Nita's house. Friendly neighborhood and good connection with city center. Really recommended.

Large and comfortable double bedroom to let in a family home. There is parking outside and garage space for a bike. We are a 20 minute walk from the main railway station and a quick walk to bus routes into the city centre. We are ideally situated to explore Bristol and its surrounding countryside.
The house is situated in a quiet road but within easy walking distance main bus route and local shopping. The room is at the back of the house and overlooks the garden. We are a clean and tidy household and would expect guest to leave things as they find them. We do have a dog, Paddy. He is friendly, relatively well behaved and is not allowed upstairs.
  • Very conveniently located for access to Bristol City centre, yet a comfortable and well-kept home in a quiet residential location

  • Becky really is a “super host”. I stayed at her house for two nights during the weekend and enjoyed it so much; it felt very homelike! Her dog is also so cute and well behaved. This was the first time for me staying at a private house and I am glad that it was with Becky!
