  • Beautiful house and location. Good response. Didn’t meet Heidi but clear instructions left about check in and out process.

  • Great property, good communication and flexible check in and out. Would recommend to anyone wanting a large property in the area for a celebration.

  • Simply a stunning place to stay, perfect for 16 people. Close to Blenheim Palace for walks and exploring Woodstock. Thoroughly recommend popping into Charlbury for Sunday lunch at the Bull Inn too. The pixie hut is exceptional and was a phenomenal surprise birthday bbq dinner for my guests. Truly couldn’t have been a more special weekend. Heidi is also a delight and couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating. Thank you for everything!

    Laura2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had 12 people and had a great stay. Loved the house, walking to Blenheim, and especially hanging out in the arctic lodge!

  • Such a brilliant Airbnb! The house was beautiful, very stylish and had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for everyone to stay and lots of bedding. The location was great, right on the Oxfordshire Way for walking and the village was very picturesque. Heidi was really helpful, offered flexible check in and out and gave us lots of tips for enjoying the house and the area. Would highly recommend!

    Jasmin2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • From start to finish Heidi was a pleasure to deal with, and the house is just incredible - we knew it would be nice but the photos don't really do it justice, it's an exquisite place. A wonderful, fun-filled weekend was had and we'd recommend the place to anyone.

    Jenny2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great stay at Hollyhock house for my sister's hen do. Heidi and her husband were very helpful and thoughtful. They were very laid back and let us check-in and check-out when it suited us. The house is spacious and lovely, the grounds are gorgeous - we loved the hut, and the location is great - we went to The Crown in Woodstock and into Oxford punting. Only thing I'd say is the house could do with a few more showers. Would highly recommend

Duck End Cottage is an historic thatched cottage dating back to the thirteenth century . It has recently been restored using traditional methods of wattle and daub externally, and lathe and plaster internally to help preserve the original cruck frame
The simplicity of Duck End Cottage's original build is complemented by the contemporary new kitchen and bathroom which offers the highest standard of modern living. The extensive gardens in a conservation area offer a peaceful place to wander and unwind. Bounded on two sides by a babbling brook it is a haven for wild life, including kingfishers, moorhens, long-tailed tits and owls. The view from the window of the Thames flood plane may entice you to walk to the river, or to St Michaels, the village church, before retiring for a bite to eat and drink at the Harcourt Arms, the village pub (the village pub is closed for refurbishment at the moment). St Michaels is thought to have been built in 1130 by the second wife of Henry I and is mentioned in the doomsday book.

  • A stunning little cottage with plenty of room for parking. The cottage was well equipped I loved the finer details i.e fresh flowers in every room. The breakfast bundle was great, lots of selection and not to mention it was spotlessly clean inside. The butchers and shop down the road are fantastic, we had takeaway fish and chips from The Tite Inn on Friday evening upon arrival and that was delicious. If you’re looking for something to do I highly recommend visiting Heythrop Zoological Gardens - we fed the tigers a must do although you do have to book in advance. Will definitely stay at Claire’s place again if in the area.

  • Beautiful setting quiet and nice village shop with great cheese and butchers.

    Burnadette2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Please do visit the local shop with fresh produce and a butchery. Get your logs from there too. Wonderful secluded little cottage with everything you need including privacy and your not on top of each other which was a bonus for me. Lots to see and do un the area!

  • Lovely cottage in a beautiful part of the Cotswolds!

    Rachel2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cosy little cottage in a great village. Pub and shop are both a 5 minute walk away, just a short drive from local town Chipping Norton. Claire and her husband were excellent hosts, even when we disrupted their Friday night when google maps took us the wrong way to the cottage!

    Lauren2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect Cotswold getaway!

    Anna2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a winter break; log fire in the living room; beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside.

    Justin2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely two days in Claire’s place. The cottage has a convenient, large parking space and Chadlington is a lovely place to stay. It was an easy base to visit other villages like Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water if you are keen to explore. It was very clean and a comfortable size for two people. I recommend Claire’s if you are looking for a trip to the Cotswolds!

Shepherd's Hut in delightful rural setting yet within minutes of all that Oxford has to offer. The Perch Pub (where Morse regularly visited) is a five minute walk and serves excellent food. There is a Golf Driving Range five minutes in the other direction. Waitrose is a ten minute walk.
Our self-contained Shepherd's Hut offers the unique opportunity to enjoy a base in the countryside but only a 25 minute walk to the centre of Oxford. A kitchenette (a small fridge and a hob but no oven), shower room and wood burner provide all home comforts. Towels provided. Microwave can be provided on request (in advance).
We are situated in the middle of the Countryside down a country lane. It is perfectly possible to walk back at night with the aid of a torch but the lane itself is unlit so you go from a very well-lit road in the middle of Oxford to sudden darkness. Binsey is a very small village - about 12 houses, a pub and church, yet is so close to everything that Oxford has to offer.
  • We had such a wonderful stay here! I booked 2 nights as a surprise for my boyfriends birthday and now wish we could have stayed longer. It was lovely and clean, peaceful, and toasty warm with the fire and the heater. The Perch pub, which was just down the road, was fabulous also. Overall a brilliant location - in the countryside but within walking distance of the city. Also Katherine has the sweetest dog - so happy and friendly. Would love to return one day. I cannot recommend highly enough!

    Lili2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing getaway! A walk from town but still in the quiet, idyllic countryside. Perfect if you don’t have a car!

    Tainan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place was fantastic! very peaceful and in a beautiful countryside location, on the doorstop of Oxford. We got taxis to and from the centre as the weather was not great but this is only a 5 - 10 mins journey and not expensive. The place was so cosy and had everything you could need.

    Frankie2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic. Highly recommended

    Greg2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome. Even if it's small, but kind of calmy, and relaxing place. We actually adored it!, 😊

    Gábor2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in the shepherd's hut. Our visit was a rainy and windy few days, where it might have been cold in the hut. But the log burner warmed us up nicely and kept us toasty through the night. A great location to stay for visiting Oxford.

    Jack2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • I fully recommend staying at The Place for Ewe! The Shepherds Hut is so cosy and comfortable with everything you need for a little weekend trip. Katherine, her husband and their pets were all very welcoming and on hand if we needed anything. The location is perfect in the quiet contryside surrounding Oxford, close to the River Thames, and only a 25 minute walk into the very centre of Oxford with all that it has to offer. It serves as the perfect retreat from a day exploring the busy city. I would gladly go back!

    Joe2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • It's a great idea - a shepherds hut on a farm. Unique and very cosy. If you are looking for something a bit unusual and qwerky, this is it. Bisney is a lovely village and the Perch is a fabulous pub with great food and excellent service. Also a lovely walk into Oxford. Highly recommend it.

  • A lovely cosy cottage with everything you need including comfy beds and a wood burning stove set in amazing grounds. Juliett is a great host . Loved the snacks for breakfast. Surrounded by lovely countryside with some great walks and local pubs.

  • This is the second time we've stayed in the lovely cosy Bothy. Juliet is a great host and the cottage is sparkling clean and fitted out to a very high standard.

  • Lovely serene area, very peaceful and scenic, the place is very clean, and cosy .Juliet was a wonderful host, easy to communicate with. Will definitely recommend!

  • Fabulous little hideaway in a stunning corner of the Cotswolds. The Bothy is stylishly decorated, spotlessly clean, super comfortable and communication with Juliet was faultless. The Bothy backs onto the beautiful Wilcote Manor and is a quiet and secluded little spot overlooking the gorgeous grounds. Juliet was brilliant in helping us with our visit, sending lots of useful information in advance and greeting us and showing us around upon arrival. She left some provisions in the fridge for us for the morning too which was greatly appreciated. The space itself is lovely - very clean and stylishly decorated. All beds were comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. We would highly recommend the Bothy for a spot of rest and relaxation!

    Caroline2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely few days stay in The Bothy. So much character & history to the place. Such a wonderful countryside location, and with the Cotswolds on your doorstep, just waiting to be explored. As a birdwatcher, the Oxfordshire area is known for its Kites, and with binoculars at the ready, once again, I wasn’t disappointed! The accommodation was just perfect. It was spotless, fresh, with beautiful bed linens, soft towels & all that was needed to make it a home from home. Having forgot to bring butter, the welcome pack was very much appreciated! Nothing was too much trouble for Juliet. Such a wonderful host, wanting to make sure you had everything she could help you with, should you need it. Another visit will certainly be on the cards. Just hope it will be sooner rather than later. Thank you so much once again Juliet 😊

    Lorraine2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay over the weekend in The Bothy. My daughter described it, as like staying in a 5 star hotel. Spacious , clean and warm. Very tastefully decorated and loads of space so my teenage daughters and I all had our own space. Also lovely touches of hospitality like leaving bread, butter, milk and eggs for breakfast and having the wood burner set up to light. Juliet was also very welcoming and very helpful. The best AirBnB we have stayed in.

Attractive, comfortable, clean, warm and with great facilities and lots of extras included - including a DVD player , selection of DVDs and chocolate digestive biscuits ! The weather outside was frightful but we were warm and cosy inside at Tanglewood. We'd be very happy to stay here again.

    Charlie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Just back from a long weekend at Lynn’s place — Storm Dennis kept us indoors for most of our stay, but we didn’t mind, this cosy, comfortable little annexe felt like home away from home. It had everything we needed: all mod cons, generous bedrooms, clean bathroom, plenty of space for three adults. A bottle of wine welcomed us, and our dog Dougal enjoyed the dog treats and secure garden (there were even a few new toys for him to play with!). Location is very good: Oxford just 10 minutes away, and the Cotswolds at your doorstep. Check-in was effortless, and communication great — Lynn always replied promptly and also very kindly offered several tips on dog-friendly establishments. Thank you again for a lovely stay!

  • Just back from two nights at this lovely cottage. It is clean, perfectly located for long muddy dog walks to a country pub and I appreciated all the thoughtful touches including dishwasher tablets, coffee machine and pods, cleaning materials, everything you need in the kitchen, great quality bedding and towels and lovely toiletries. The cottage also smelt beautiful with lovely diffusers everywhere you looked! We took our kids on a 1hr15 minute country walk through fields and forests to The Plough Inn pub for lunch and then wandered back. They loved it! we then came back to the cottage, lit the fire and relaxed! A truly blissful escape in a clean and homely cottage. We’ll be back!

Welcome to Causeway Cottage, brought to you exclusively by Character Cottages, local specialists in stylish, Cotswold holiday rentals. Causeway Cottage is a delightful Grade II listed property which sleeps six guests, in three well presented bedrooms, with two bathrooms. Dating back to the mid-17th century, the property has an abundance of character features including exposed wooden beams, a stone mullion window, terracotta tiling in the kitchen and two inglenook fireplaces, one of which has a wood burning stove. To complement these traditional features, the property has been finished in a contemporary style with the addition of modern facilities such as wireless internet access, a Smart TV and a well-equipped kitchen. Built from original Cotswold stone, Causeway Cottage has a beautiful exterior to match its interior, with a wonderful wisteria trailing across the porch and living room windows, and dormer windows on the first floor which offer lovely views across the garden. The enchanting garden is an excellent spot to socialise with friends and family in the warmer months and there is off-street parking for up to three cars on the gravel driveway. Causeway Cottage is situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Old Minster Lovell, an unspoilt village with a mixture of attractive thatched and Cotswold stone cottages. The village benefits from a well-regarded pub, the Old Swan, which prides itself on its use of local ingredients, and the 12th century parish church of St Kenelm is just a short walk away from the cottage. Alongside the church lie the extensive ruins of Minster Lovell Hall, a former 15th century manor house which is now a Grade 1 listed building maintained by English Heritage. Old Minster Lovell is also home to Minster Mill, a luxury hotel with a spa and restaurant which members of the public can utilise by appointment only. The larger residential settlement of New Minster is just a ten minute walk away, with another popular pub and a local shop. Located within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are many local walks and cycle trails to explore, including those along the River Windrush which flows through the village itself. Old Minster Lovell is well placed for visiting many of the charming towns and villages of the Cotswolds including the medieval market town of Burford with its wide range of eateries, and the scenic village of Bourton-on-the-Water, often referred to as the “Venice of the Cotswolds” due to the many arching bridges which cross over the River Windrush. The popular tourist destinations of Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Winston Churchill, Cirencester and Oxford are within easy reach for day trips. Important Customer Notice: - Special Events: Christmas, New Year and the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival are Special Events, with bookings typically limited to weeks only from a specific start day If your dates don’t appear to fit, then please click Contact Host below to find out what options may exist for you!
The front door opens into an entrance hall with hooks for hanging coats and a boot rack for muddy wellies. The following rooms are located on the ground floor: Living/dining room: This bright, dual aspect room is a warm and inviting space and has a wealth of character features including exposed wooden beams and original wooden flooring. This spacious room contains an inglenook fireplace with cosy wood burning stove, a three-seater sofa and two leather armchairs. There is also a wall-mounted Smart TV with DVD player, a small selection of books and board games, an ornamental inglenook fireplace and a wooden dining table which comfortably seats six; Snug: Adjacent to the dining area is the cosy snug, a peaceful spot offering wonderful garden views through the beautiful stone mullion window. This area contains a comfy leather armchair; Kitchen: The well presented country-style kitchen has striking exposed beams and terracotta tiles and is ideal for home cooking. It contains an electric Aga (available in the winter months only), an electric oven with four-ring induction hob, a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, cafetière, kettle and toaster. There is also a large larder and a wooden breakfast table with seating for six; Utility room/cloakroom: Contains a washing machine, tumble dryer, toilet and wash basin. A spiral staircase with a handrail leads up from the inner hall between the dining area and kitchen to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Master bedroom: Overlooking the garden and country pub opposite, this spacious dual aspect bedroom contains a super king size bed, chest of drawers, two bedside tables for storage and wall hooks for hanging space. There is a bright, contemporary ensuite bathroom which contains a bath with overhead rain shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail; Bedroom 2: With exposed wooden beams and views across to the village pub, this tastefully decorated bedroom contains a king size bed, chest of drawers, coat stand and hooks for storage, as well as a wall mirror and a pretty window seat and wooden chair; Bedroom 3: Overlooking the street below, this cosy bedroom contains two single beds, a chest of drawers, coat stand and small selection of books; Family bathroom: The spacious family bathroom contains a large walk-in rain shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail. The stunning south facing garden spans a third of an acre and is mostly laid to lawn with a variety of mature trees along its border, giving privacy from the village playing field beyond. Directly outside the kitchen there is a paved patio area with an outdoor table with seating for six, as well as two comfy chairs looking out over the lawn. The patio is bordered by a low dry-stone wall, which itself is bordered by fragrant lavender, and in the late spring the gorgeous wisteria and climbing flowers add splashes of colour to the Cotswold stone exterior. A second patio can be found beneath the mature trees at the side of the garden and this area contains a charcoal barbecue and two sun loungers. Just off the driveway is a double garage which houses a large table tennis table and croquet set. The gravel driveway has off-street parking for up to three cars.
The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

  • Without a doubt, the most beautiful air bnb in Great Britain! The pictures on the advertisement do not do it justice. The bathroom is stunning & has heated flooring, the towels were extra fluffy, the carpet in the living area was immaculate, the interior decoration was stylish & modern, yet very country & cosy at the same time. The place is fully equipped with shampoos, shower gels, moisturisers, make up remover pads etc so if you’re the type of person who wants to go places with hand luggage only, this air bnb is for you. The host couldn’t of been more fantastic, pure British hospitality at every moment. Wish I could have stayed for longer, 100% would recommend this air bnb! Absolute perfection!

  • Rebecca was a wonderful host and was very open and welcoming and has a great knowledge of the local area. Not only is the property itself beautiful, but the location is fantastic, private, and very picturesque. Would have loved to stay longer and look forward to coming back in the future.

  • Our stay was unfortunately only one night, but we wish we could have stayed forever! Everything about The Granary was superb. The room is vary spaces and open, as well as being self contained. The bed, carpet and under floor heating meant that our stay was extremely relaxing and comfortable. There is a small sofa to watch TV which is Netflix equipped. And there is also a small dining table with 2 chairs, obviously for eating at. There was plenty of teas to chose from as well as a section of cereals. Plenty of cutlery is also available in the draws. Outside the room there is a utility room that you are able to use, and this contains a fridge, sink and microwave. We will be back!

A lovely room in our home in the heart of a village close to Oxford with road, rail & bus links. It's a short walk to the station for a 10min train to Oxford (and London trains). With woodland and country walks from the front door and red kites often circling overhead, Blenheim Palace & Park is very close by. It's a great base for exploring Oxfordshire & the Cotswolds. The village has 2 CoOp's, post office, fish‘n’chip and pizza takeaway, and good pubs with food. The room has a TV & mini-fridge.
It is a bright, sunny and south-facing, self-contained room at the front of the house which comprises a comfortable bedroom with en suite. The bedroom (10 sq.m) has a good quality double bed and mattress (190x130), hooks and plenty of hangers, an old pine chest of (4) drawers, a mini-fridge, TV, bed-reading lights and free WiFi access. The en suite (4 sq.m) has a quality 'rain' shower (with grab rail), WC (with grab rail), basin and chrome ladder radiator – good quality towels are provided, along with ''Faith in Nature" Lavender & Geranium shower gel, shampoo & conditioner as stocked by Oxfam. TEAs / COFFEE & BREAKFAST: Teas, coffee, sugar and milk are provided in the room with a kettle. An in-room light breakfast is provided of muesli or a choice of flavours of warming 'porridge in a pot' for you to prepare - we'll supply milk if you'd like it - to keep in the mini-fridge. The room is tastefully decorated with original contemporary art, ornaments and family furniture. The digital 24" TV has multiple channels (& radio). We hope and believe you will find it welcoming - whoever you are. Our working lives have taken us all over the world - we are open-minded and welcome internationalism and diversity of all kinds. We keep learning more and more from meeting people of all backgrounds and identities. You're welcome ! DISABLED ACCESS: There is level access (except for a low threshold on the front door) to the room and sufficient space to manoeuvre a manual wheelchair - but not in the en suite, where there are grab rails by the WC and in the shower. We can provide a shower chair and WC seat-raiser and frame if requested, and you are welcome to borrow our lightweight folding wheelchair ramp for your days out if you wish.

Comfortable double bedroom in a cosy house near to the meadows and river. It's just a 10-minute walk from the centre of Witney - a great location for exploring the Cotswolds. We're a friendly couple (English and Brazilian), are easy-going hosts and happy to help with anything to make your stay more pleasant.
Your private room has tea and coffee making facilities, high-speed wi-fi and a desk should you need to do some work, and a shared bathroom. We also provide towels and amenities. If you need anything else though, we are happy to help!
Close to the centre of Witney, but also a stone's throw from some walks across the meadows and along the River Windrush. The neighbourhood itself is a quiet residential area.

  • We were very pleased with everything, the rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. The location for Oxford and Blenheim palace is ideal. Train station an easy walk to travel to Oxford and Blenheim just a short drive, as was the pretty town of Woodstock where we ate one evening. For nearer food and drink we also used the village pub which was a pleasant short stroll away. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

Meadow View is a self contained ground floor apartment to the rear of our home. ( a former C17 pub.) The apartment has its own entrance and is completely separate from the house. There is ample parking on the road outside. There is a double bedroom and kitchenette area with a separate hallway, shower room and toilet and laundry/ wardrobe room The main room is very compact light and airy and and overlooks a beautiful meadow and trees. There is a small private seating area outside.
We are a safe haven - Business as Usual. Deep cleaning after every visit, boil laundering bedding and towels. The Bell is a former pub situated on a quiet lane near a little triangular green. There is a lane opposite leading to the village where there are two pubs. One serves food. There is a bus top ten minutes walk away, with a bus route to Oxford and Witney. At there rear of the house there is direct access to a public footpath over fields to the next village, where there are two pubs. (1 mile). The adding farm has a fabulous organic garden and cafe and it is walkable within 25 mins
The village of Cassington is a delightful small Cotswold stone Oxfordshire village. It has two pubs (one with food), lovely walks over farm land, a sports field with bookable tennis and MUGA pitch, a 12th century church, and village hall with various events - films, plays, sales etc. There is a lane opposite the house which leads to the village centre (4 min walk). The bus stop on the A40 is 10 mins walk. The best of both worlds - a rural hideaway only 10 mins from Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, Oxford, and Oxford Parkway station. You can walk to access public transport, or park your car outside the house. If you are stuck for lifts, we are happy to help if we can.

Situated close to Blenheim Palace estate, and just 7 miles west of Oxford, The Doghouse is an ideal self-catering base for Blenheim or Oxford events, or simply enjoying the countryside, Cotswold pubs, and local market towns.
LOCATION: Situated overlooking green fields, The Doghouse provides a peaceful, comfortable and luxurious base from which to explore Oxford, her villages, and the surrounding countryside. Our guests enjoy 60 sq m of space over two levels, and a private patio area. Our guest reviews speak for themselves! The Doghouse has cosy underfloor heating, and a (largely decorative) bio-fuel fire place for the winter; a tall Dyson fan is provided during hot weather. Outside, a small, secluded patio area is equipped with a garden sofa, parasol and bistro table with chairs for two, all overlooking fields where horses or ewes and their lambs regularly graze, silhouetted against the light of the sun which sets beyond. There are resident buzzards in the trees around the adjoining fields, and a barn owl patrols the stretch of ground immediately behind The Doghouse. Fox cubs are regularly seen playing in the field on early summer evenings, and up to five roe-deer are regular passers-by on most days.
Our house is situated on the fringe of the Blenheim Palace estate. The main palace site is a 10 minute drive away, making The Doghouse an ideal base for attending events at Blenheim, including private weddings, the CLA Game Fair, Classic Car Shows, Concerts, Horse trials etc. We are within an easy 15 minute drive to the Park'n'Ride stations for buses into Oxford City centre for the colleges, museums, theatres etc, and there are numerous fine country pubs in the various surrounding villages. The local railway station at Hanborough (5 min drive away) serves London Paddington in just over an hour on the train; Oxford Parkway Station (15 minute drive away) serves London Marylebone (1 hr), and it's an 8 minute journey on this line to Bicester Village. Buses leave Thornhill Park'n'Ride (a 20 minute drive from us) for London Victoria very frequently, round the clock. There are numerous lovely walks starting from right outside The Doghouse, across fields, and through woods, alongside the river. The Wychwood Way - a 37 mile signposted trail, which incorporates 10 shorter walks, passes through our land, 200 m from The Doghouse, The substantial remains of a Roman Villa at the other end of the village are well worth a visit.

Although the Doghouse is not far from Alison’s own house we never felt like we were intruding and likewise Alison respected our privacy. Communication from Alison both prior to and after arrival was fabulous. Would highly recommend a stay at the Doghouse.

  • Our stay at this apartment was fantastic! The space itself is huge and has everything you need. Robin and his wife also left some very lovely and thoughtful basics and treats for us upon arrival. The location is superb and Robin was a very helpful and communicative host. This is a really good value Airbnb!

  • A charming annex to a home in the picturesque town of Charlbury. The accommodation was perfect, much bigger than we expected, and the hosts were friendly, hospitable and extremely thoughtful (provided us with the basic necessities- tea, milk, biscuits, and more- wine! upon arrival.). They were always on hand to assist with anything and regularly inquired as to our needs. A really great central location close to shops, transportation and pubs! We will miss you, Robin &Linda!

Sitting opposite an early 18th Century Georgian farmhouse on the edge of the Cotswolds, The Loft is the 1st floor of an oak clad outbuilding. With it's own private external stairway entrance and views over a mature apple orchard and rolling hills beyond it's the perfect place to relax or base yourself as you explore the rest of the Cotswolds and Oxford.
The Loft was renovated in 2017 and when not in use by guests acts as a place we can read, listen to music and generally escape to. For this reason we do not have a TV but instead has been fitted with discrete modern technology including Yamaha audio receiver (Bluetooth compatible), vintage Technics turntable all playing through discrete Bose surround sound speakers. For those of you that want to keep connected, fear not, there is high speed wifi available throughout (and an Apple Macbook Pro for streaming movies if you wish). The gable end wall acts as our library, offering a variety of books which you are welcome to enjoy during your stay. It has an open plan layout with a top of the range king size sofa-bed and luxury linen. Check-in time can be arranged from any time after 4pm. We will welcome you on arrival and if there are any problems during your stay we will endeavour to help. Otherwise we hope that you will enjoy your independence.
We are located in the older part of North Leigh. From here it is a short walk up the hill to two pubs. There is also a post office and village shop. Witney is only a five minute drive away and boasts lots of restaurants, a cinema and plentiful shops. In the surrounding area there are many great pubs to eat out in, beautiful countryside and many tourist attractions. Do ask us for any suggestions.
  • The loft is just as good as the photos show. It is lovely and clean upon arrival, easy access and spacious. I stayed with my boyfriend as we were visiting Blenheim palace. It was around 15-20 minutes away from the palace, really easy to find once you knew where it was. Really lives up to the description. Would stay again 100%

  • Immaculate and stylish space. Excellent location, only a short drive to Witney town. Hannah was a fab host, we stayed with our 6 week old baby and she was very accommodating with us. Would highly recommend and we would love to stay again.

  • I would highly recommend staying here if you are after a weekend of relaxation in the countryside close to Oxford. We stayed at the loft and simply chilled out and watched movies/ listened to music - the place was clean, stylish and the hosts were lovely.

  • We booked "The Loft" as we were going to a wedding at Eynsham Hall. The location was brilliant, as it was only a 5 minute drive away. It was great place to make some breakfast with the toaster and microwave. Hannah kindly enough provided us some milk for our coffee. You couldn't fault the place and Hannah was an amazing host. Would definitely recommend, as it's a 10-15 minute drive into Whitney and a 5 minute drive to Eynsham Hall.

Situated in a quiet location in the village of Stonesfield, Little Chestnut Cottage is a great base from which to visit Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, Oxford and explore the Cotswolds. Stratford is less than an hour away if you want to go a little further afield. The village is just over an hour away from London yet surrounded by beautiful countryside and there are plenty of walks straight from the door across the picturesque Evenlode valley.
Little Chestnut Cottage is completely self-contained and is just across the driveway from our own cottage. It dates back to the early nineteenth century and was built as an outbuilding for animals and grain but has now been converted to provide a lovely place to stay for visitors to this area. Downstairs is a comfortable bedroom, spacious bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs is an open plan sitting and dining area with the original wide floorboards and oak beams.
Stonesfield is located in beautiful west Oxfordshire on the edge of the Cotswolds. The village is completely surrounded by countryside and is very close to Blenheim Palace (3 miles). It has a good pub The White Horse which is open Wednesday to Sunday (www.whitehorsestonesfield.com) and a convenience store with a post office. The market towns of Woodstock, Witney and Chipping Norton are all less than 20 minutes drive away. Little Chestnut Cottage is in the oldest part of the village and a short walk to the river Evenlode. There are lovely walks in the local woods and North Leigh roman villa is about 20 minutes walk away. The Oxfordshire Way runs through the village and longer walks into the grounds of Blenheim Palace are straight forward by following this footpath.
  • We had such a lovely stay in Theresa’s cottage. It is so homely and warm whilst also having modern amenities. It benefits from a great shower, excellent heating, dishwasher, big TV, comfy bed but also has the wooden beams and traditional features throughout. Great location for visiting oxford, Blenheim and surrounding villages. We had a great meal one evening in Woodstock which is very close by. We stayed for 2 nights but could happily have stayed for more. Theresa was a great host, very friendly and had left eggs, bread, milk, freshly squeezed orange juice and even some fruit for us which was a lovely touch. We highly recommend and will definitely look to stay again on our next visit.

    Brad2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • A super cute cottage that has everything you need & is very comfortable. We used it as to visit Blenheim and it was ideal! There some lovely walks near by too! Highly recommended for a lovely weekend away from it all!

The accommodation is our cosy caravan which is located within our fairly spacious garden. The caravan is very homely, clean and comfortable. You can have the caravan experience without the towing! We are down a fairly quiet lane on the edge of our beautiful village. we overlook fields within an area of outstanding natural beauty.
We decided to rent out our caravan as we live in a lovely area on the edge of the Cotswolds. This area is popular with holiday makers and festival goers who often have to pay a premium for guest accommodation. We aim to provide a comfortable stay with everything you might need! If you don't provide it we probably can! The caravan has the option of two small double beds and a smaller bunk (maximum occupancy is 5 if one of the party is under 10, otherwise it is 4) The small double beds easily sleep a couple or two friends. Soft "proper" bedding is provided. There is a kitchenette area where you can make a hot drink or prepare a simple breakfast of cereal, toast etc. All the necessaries to do so are provided. Due to guest safety the gas cooker is disconnected so you have the perfect excuse to try one of the very good local pubs or grab a takeaway; you are on holiday after all! If you would like use of a microwave this can be provided. We operate and honesty bar with a selection of beers, wine, and some pre-mixed spirits. You are welcome to help yourself and a price list is provided. The caravan is equipped with a TV with freeview digital channels and an inbuilt DVD player. A selection of DVDs are provided for guest use (Adult and children). Electric points are also available, one has two USB ports for all of your charging needs. Some games and reading materials are also available.
We are on the edge of the beautiful Cotswolds. We are in a village just outside of the market town of Witney. Witney is famous for its history as a blanket making town. There are a large number of shops and eateries in Witney with free parking. Burford is very close by as is Woodstock and the beautiful Blenheim Palace. Oxford, Cheltenham and the famous Bicester village shopping centre are within easy reach. In summary a great location! There are lots of walks in the area and a great enclosed dog walk that is accessible by a 5 min car journey or a 15/20 min walk. We are close to the Wilderness festival & Cornbury festival and not too far from the "Feastival" . There are lots of places nearby to take children, including the Cotswold Farm park and the Cotswold Wildlife park.
  • Friendly, helpful, near lots of great places, fantastic value, highly recommended.

  • A cosy space for our first time in a caravan as a family with 2 adults and 2 children. Booked at the last minute but Linda was very accommodating, friendly and welcoming. Once the heater got going it was more than enough to keep us warm. Great shower and toilet available indoors too. Ideal location with lots to do locally within a short car journey.

    Akhil2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • It was a novel experience for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very very clean Caravan and good value for money. The location was perfect for us who were venturing into the Cotswold the next morning. Thank you Linda and David! The scones were particularly delicious!

    Marina2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely relaxing 3 night stay in Linda's caravan. It's exactly as described - well loved, cozy and comfortable. The heat worked well on the chilly nights, and the bathroom provided inside the house has an excellent shower. Linda's family is delightful. They welcomed us into their space and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Our daughters enjoyed making a new friend and having playtime. The fresh scones and cream on arrival were a lovely extra touch, as well as the fresh milk, bread, and cereal. It was a convenient location from which to explore Oxford and the Cotswolds. We highly recommend Linda's caravan.

  • Lovely cosy caravan very friendly host can’t fault it 👍👍

    Rob2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Quirky, cosy and fun! We are not caravanners so it was a real novelty to stay in one. Linda and her husband are lovely and welcoming. The caravan has everything one could need plus more! We didn't have breakfast, however the supplies in the breakfast cupboard/fridge were more than generous. Lovely bathroom inside the main house for guests to use made the 'camping' part a bit more 'luxurious'.

  • Cute little cottage! Overall very clean throughout. The bath is a good size, and a lovely place to unwind after an afternoon walking. The heating works well, and the area is very quiet. The fire is wonderful, although you'll need kindling, which you can get at the local petrol station. The host doesn't provide any.

  • Arrival was fab and felt very welcome. Single room had the most comfortable bed ever and I loved the kitchen area bathroom facilities and bedroom. I didn't expect a TV so that was good so I could relax and unwind in the evening. The fridge was packed with a variety of breakfast food and lovely good quality granary bread. There is a beautiful double room which is suitable for two more guests if you need it. Lovely garden to sit in and read. As my washing machine has just gone caput! It was SO useful to take clean clothes home and as the drying rack Julie set up for me meant clothes dried overnight.I will definitely be using this b and b again in the next few months.
