A lovely house that is in a great location to walk along the front. The house is very well equipped, spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable.

The property is as advertised, simple yet very acceptable finishings and very welcoming. Very close to the promenade and beach if you enjoy a walk however February weather was not conducive during our visit! A local bar / restaurant “Gallois”? a mere stones throw away prepares decent food at very decent prices. Easy access to M4 for visits to Swansea or Cardiff. There ere 4 adults and one child in our party and it catered for us very well.

A great space for a few days mountain biking in Afan. Was sparkling clean and has all the amenities you could ask for including somewhere to dry wet kit. David could not have been more helpful and provided some good local tips on where to eat etc. We had a great few days and are already looking at when we can book again.

At Wendy and David you will be very well received, the photos of the studio are in line with reality, it is very beautiful and very clean. If you have any problem you can contact them without any problem, they are also there to advise you on what to do in the area. We really had a great week-long stay in their beautiful studio, We highly recommend it and will gladly come back if we were to stay in Wales again !!!

Had a wonderful long weekend at David & Wendy's place, with our little boy. Communication was great and we had a warm welcome on arrival. Some lovely thoughtful touches including milk in the fridge, welsh cakes and wine. The place had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Beautiful view from the balcony. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful stay at David & Wendy’s. Thank you! The Welsh cakes, milk, shampoo etc all made our arrival after a day’s cycling delightful. It is an easy detour for anyone doing the Celtic Trail/Route 4 up from Port Talbot. So peaceful as well, sitting on the balcony overlooking the forest. A pleasant 15 min walk to the Brit Pub which is 2019 CAMRA Pub of the Year and served delicious food. Nothing at all we would have changed.

Emma was very welcoming and hospitable. The house is lovely and personally I think the view is very interesting but am also aware I maybe in a minority to see beauty in Port Talbot! Really stylish space and a very big room. It looks close to the M4 on the map, which makes it really useful if you're travelling for work, but you can't hear it at all either. Emma is a really friendly host who made me feel welcome, but also gave me lots of privacy which was really appreciated as I had work to do when I got back. Would stay again.

The Tack Room was so so lovely. Warm, clean, spacious, well equipped. It had everything you need to dine in. Nice touches like milk, bread, Welsh cakes, butter, jam. The bed was amazing and the bathroom great, everything seemed very new. Parking on site with farm animals next door to amuse us. Thanks, Philip. It was lovely to meet you. PS There is on site breakfast which I’m sure was delicious but we chose to prepare our own!

A nice place to stay in a beautiful location. Reasonably priced and exactly as described.

An incredible cottage to get away from it all, a good location to get to a few shops and attractions but the best bit is getting your supplies and looking at the views out of the window with the log burner set.

Great experience of staying at Lorna’s place. Lovely personal touch when we arrived: welshcakes and personal notes. The cottage is very cozy and lovely. Even though it was raining cats and dogs with high winds during our stay due to stormDennis, the place is warm and we enjoyed snuggling in front of the fireplaces. It was peaceful stay with serene surroundings due to the cottage’s location but getting food provisions and supermarkets are only minutes away by car. I can recommend the place for its great experience and the warm stay at the lovely cottage. Thank you Lorna and John.

Cosy, comfortable, well equipped and a peaceful cottage with glorious views over Port Talbot from a quiet country retreat. The cottage location is the great for accessing supermarkets/ the town for anything you may need whilst also being private should you want to be alone. The place was great. We had a lovely stay in the cottage. Very warm and cosy.

We chose the cottage as a base for our South Wales adventures and we were not disappointed. Great communication with our host and the welcoming touches, including having the burners lit for our arrival, were thoughtful and appreciated. The weather wasn’t always kind to us so having such a comfortable, warm and inviting space to recharge was all we hoped for. The remote location gives the great views when the cloud lifts and yet the town with supermarkets are only a few minutes drive away.

Absolutely wonderful place in the most idyllic location. Quite and peaceful and an overall wonderful stay. Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time at this lovely place. Phillip and his wife are fantastic hosts and very welcoming. The lodge (and especially the kitchen) is perfectly equipped, and we had everything we could think of. Great location for visiting Porthcawl and Gower Peninsula. Would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely stay in the lodge. Would highly recommend.

We were a group of four, but there was beds for six (twins, double and bunks). This is a nice place and a good base for visits to Porthcawl and/or Margam Park. We visited in November but the house was nice and warm. Lots of parking available.

The lodge is a lovely place to stay. We stayed for 2 nights while visiting family. Philip was very helpful and met ya upon our arrival. There was tea, coffee and milk waiting for us which was a lovely touch. The lodge was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Heating worked well so we didn’t feel the cold outside. There are ducks and geese on the farm which the kids loved to have a look at. I would definitely recommend staying here and we will stay there again

This property is in a fantastic location within easy travel to Port Talbot and Margam Country Park. The property itself was spotless, comfortable and like home from home. Little touches like bread and milk makes a huge difference. Would definitely recommend

Fiona’s place was fantastic. We have had a great time.

I don’t know what was better- the house or the lovely host Fiona! The house itself is spacious, nicely decorated and well equipped for group bookings. We were a family gathering, but would be perfect for a hen do. I love the fact we got a Xmas tree and even Xmas bedding- was really special. The house is in a great location next to the beach, a quick walk to a bar, cinema or Indian restaurant or a short drive to town. Fiona was so accommodating, had such good communication with us throughout and left so many welcoming touches (most of which I think my sister ate!) It was an absolute pleasure to deal with her. I hope we can stay again in the future.

The property is excellently placed for the beach and also the road network to arrive and also travel to places of interest. It is spacious, clean, fully equipped, warm & comfortable. There are eating places close by including takeaways. Fiona could not have been more helpful and despite extremely rough weather our stay was perfect.

Fiona is a thoughtful and welcoming host. The house is lovely and clean and well equipped. The location, directly opposite Aberavon beach was a delight for the children and there is a wonderful restaurant, Bar Gallois right on the doorstep. The service and food there was impeccable. The reason we chose Fiona’s house was it’s location on the beach front. This certainly didn’t disappoint! The beach is lovely and a few steps away from the front door. The house itself was just perfect! Set over 3 floors, the lounge has an amazing view and lots of seating, there was only the 4 of us, we had a sofa each! It was lovely and clean throughout, fresh towels and bed linen. Fiona greeted us as soon as we arrived, there was milk in the fridge and other little extras like shower gel etc. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of storage space. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again and recommend to others.

Mathew's place was great, the location is lovely. In a picturesque setting with a beautiful stream running near by. Perfect for a woodland walk, which we suprisingly managed even in the bad weather that we had. The accomodation is great for a large party. Plenty of space around the dining table for dinner and two seating areas to chill in. Mathew provided fire wood for the burner in the lounge and the hottub was ready for our arrival. Mathew was prompt with any questions we had. Thanks for having us Mathew, I really hope we can stay again in brighter conditions so that we can make the most of the surrounding area.

Fantastic place, good location and great for big groups with dogs

Matthews place is huge and very homely. Perfect for big groups with multiples bedrooms and en suites as well as lots of living space. Hot tub wasn’t working when we visited which was a disappointment.

Beautiful cottage and surroundings. Incredibly friendly and helpful host that makes you feel really at home. The cottage has everything you need for a great visit and had even been decorated for the Christmas period.

We had a great stay at Phil’s place. Location is peaceful and remote but with great access to the M4 to explore the area - great spot to head out to the Gower and Pembrokeshire as well as to Swansea and Cardiff. The Dairy was comfortable and spacious with a large bed, powerful shower and good kitchen facilities. Phil ensured the thoughtful touches such as bread, milk and welsh cakes were there for us on arrival and offered to get us a bbq out given the unseasonally warm weather. Phil was also on hand with tips and local knowledge. Thanks for a great stay, would definitely return!

Excellent amenities to make your stay very comfortable. Great communication from the host who is very helpful. Having the whole house to your yourself, makes it a home from home.
