Absolutely fantastic! This was my first foray into the world of Airbnb, and what an introduction! James was an amazing host, bent over backwards to assist me, including making room in his garage for my motorbike and sourcing some coffee for me and a hairdryer for the missus. The room was spacious, clean and a lovely comfy bed. Would definitely stay again! Thank you James for a wonderful stay.

As a family with young children, this place was perfect for us. My 3 year old was very well occupied by the toys, and the cupboard was well stocked with child-friendly plates and cups, and Tupperware to take supplies out for them. It was a great home from home for us and we would be likely to use it again. Brixworth itself was lovely for a family meet up. The park by the reservoir was great for both our 3 year old and 10 month old.

Stayed for just over three weeks. Accommodation had everything you’d need. Very bright and airy and if you need anything at all, the host is just a text away. Simple booking process and host very friendly. We would recommend eating at The George pub, a couple of streets away! Their Sunday roast is delicious. All in all we would recommend staying to anyone.

Great place for us to meet our friends from Suffolk as a halfway house! Everything we needed was in the house and communication was good! There are some great places nearby to visit, walk eat and drink! Would recommend

This B&B is located in a lovely new village. The room was perfect for my friend and I to share. The shower was powerful. Just what we needed after coming home after a music festival. Comfortable bed and lovely breakfast. Ann was the perfect hostess. I’d stay again if I were in the area!

I was a bit unsure about what to expect as this was my first ever Airbnb stopover. I am pleased to say that it was spotlessly clean, comfortable and well appointed. Excellent and instant responses to communications really helped. Thoroughly recommended!

Claira accommodated some floor layers working on our house. She baked a cake for them, they had a lovely stay and she was very accommodating when there was some confusion on our end about check out.

We were fortunate to be the first guests at Claira's and as such maybe expect a few teething issues... nope! Absolutely everything for us was covered and exceeded. They are a delightful couple, friendly, warm and willing to help if required. The house is gorgeous and immaculate with some lovely touches. It feels warm and homely as opposed to cold and clinical which is great for families. Too many positives to list so if you're in the area you should definitely book! We were also lucky enough to try Claira's home made lemon curd, worth the price of our stay alone!!! Thank you again, it was lovely.

Tim's place is beautiful; a lovely spacious and cosy hideaway in a great location. Not far off the A14 with a fantastic pub within walking distance, it is the perfect escape. The cottage is very well kitted out with everything thought of. Tim is a very friendly and approachable host. I will be staying there again and highly recommend others too.

A very enjoyable stay

Stayed at Tim's place whilst we were visiting friends in the area. Tim's place was newly painted/decorated and very neat and clean. The bedroom was large enough for my boyfriend and I, with a nice ensuite bathroom. It was just what we needed!

The accommodation was well maintained and everything necessary was available. The contact was quick and uncomplicated.

Lovely traditional British pub with great dining

The Stag is the perfect place to stay if you plan to work at Mercedes AMG HPP, which is very close. Rob and his staff are very friendly and welcoming. The room is always very clean and warm. All facilities are available: wifi, private bathroom, washing machine, etc. There is always space to park your car. The food is also excellent. I highly recommend The Stag, and I would return without hesitation.

A fantastic little cottage lovely facilities and all so new and clean and fresh. Great host leaving milk bread and fruit on our arrival and even a bottle of wine! Lovely walk in shower, great bedroom with sofa bed for kids and perfect for a nice weekend break would highly recommend.

Nigel’s place is a true gem. Very stylish and comfortable. Centrally located as well. Nigel is a responsive host and went above and beyond for me. I had a family emergency that cut my stay short, unfortunately. Nigel and I were able to come to an amicable agreement on a refund. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Our stay at Nigels place really went very well, this little house is very nicely furnished and decorated with great taste. The location is ideal to be quiet and have a relaxing stay. Brand new place amazingly and tastefully furnished. Hosts left us to it but were on hand to welcome us. SMART TV and everything you can ask for in a kitchen. Quiet destination but close enough to motorway to make a speedy trip to Peterborough and Leicester

Helen’s place was excellent for an overnight stay when visiting this area. It includes everything which you would need and Helen goes out of her way to make you feel very welcome. The option to have a delicious cooked breakfast at a very reasonable cost was an added bonus. Helen had even tastefully put up Christmas decorations to make the Cabin feel extra festive! X Nothing was too much trouble! X

Warm and friendly hosts and home

Our stay at the Haselbech Hill Studio Flat can only be described as "fantastic". From the moment we arrived to our departure three days later we realised how fortunate one is being a guest here. The flat has everything that is required for a comfortable stay but that is only part - important as that is - of what is on offer. It is a very tranquil environment, the balcony looks out on a magnificent garden, and the view from the flat's window and balcony over the valley is stunning. Tess and David welcomed us on arrival. They live in the Haselbech Hill main residence and represented the owner (who by the way is a member of the family). Both are perfect hosts and contributed to an already wonderful stay. Add to all this the sound of only birds, the beautiful, rural surroundings, the small country lanes, and the small villages in the area and you realise that this is a place where you can truly relax and unwind. It's wonderful !

My wife and I spent 4 great nites at the flat. The surrounds are simply beautiful, our hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed (the gresh eggs from the farm an especially lovely and unexpected touch) and it was the perfect location for getting away from the hustle and bustle. Will definitely be back.

The studio at Haselbech is such a dream. I have nothing bad to say about it. It is on a lovely farm with a backyard lake, the owners Tess and David are the nicest people ever, the place is stylish and well equipped with all the breakfast things and even fresh eggs. They are warm and welcoming, the dogs and chickens are lovely and we are so excited to return.

Haselbech is a little slice of heaven. So peaceful and rejuvenating set in the most stunning countryside. Sitting on the balcony with the sun on your face looking out onto uninterrupted countryside is bliss. Bex is a very organised and super helpful host with a ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude. I wasn’t familiar with the area but she took the time to fill me in on the surrounding days out and places to eat. The flat is perfect just for 1 or for a small family. It’s cosy, comfortable, light and airy. We will be back!

We stayed with Sally again recently and it was a lovely experience, as before. Sally’s house is in a beautiful location and her attention to detail makes for a wonderful stay.

Sally has a beautiful house in an equally beautiful location and she is an extremely welcoming host. Her 2 rooms with shared bathroom are ideal for 2-4 people sharing. A lovely breakfast is included. Overall, Sally creates a wonderful impression and I am happy to recommend her to any guest.

I cannot rate this highly enough. Sally greeted us immediately on arrival and invited us in. We had a lovely chat about our plans while visiting, and sally recalled topics discussed via messaging prior to our visit. We were shown to the bedrooms which were beautifully decorated in-keeping with the period house. There was complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate supplemented by biscuits, sparkling and still water, and homemade fresh orange juice in the room fridge. We were shown how everything works, and there were guides in case anything was forgotten. We were late to our party, and didn’t catch Sally as we bundled out the door, however we were greeted when we returned late that night to check what time we would like to have breakfast! We came upstairs to find our rooms turned down, and all cutlery previously used clean and items restocked. Amazing touch. Breakfast was beautifully laid out, and the choice was abundant with Cereals, Jams, cooked to order breakfast, and more homemade orange juice. In short Thorpe Underwood Farm B&B is quintessential. We were made to feel incredibly welcome, with nothing being too much trouble. Thank you Sally.

A gorgeous cottage which is very clean has all the amenities you need for your stay. A travel cot and high chair was provided which was great not to have to bring our own. Felt very homely and welcoming Sarah and Kevin are great hosts who checked in with us during our stay to check if we needed anything. Easy check in and check out. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

Susan is a wonderful host. All communication is so thorough, you won't have any questions left unanswered. Always on hand for anything and messages you back straight away. Perfect host! Ton welcomed us into The Loft and showed us around, such a friendly and warm gentleman - giving our stay the perfect start. The Loft - is just so stunning! The pictures are gorgeous but in reality it is so much better. The views are gorgeous! The apartment itself is impressively carbon neutral and has everything you need any more. It's super clean, spacious, warm and the technology is amazing. We really appreciated the little touches that shows how much thought has gone into providing a great experience. We had chocolates beside each bed, bread milk jams cereals for breakfast, wellies in various sizes for walks around the estate, Amazon music, Netflix, Nespresso machine + pods & milk frother, Rituals toiletries, popcorn machine. Thanks to Susan we were equipped with everything we needed to have an absolutely wonderful few days away. I can't wait to come back and even visit some of her other homes! Returning home today so so so happy - thank you!!

Anyone lucky enough to stay here will not be disappointed. This property is exceptional. It is beautifully furnished, situated in wonderful countryside and has everything you need in it and more. The host Susan, is super helpful, friendly and responded to questions very quickly. I cannot recommend a stay at this property enough.

This place is second to none. If you are coming with children then this is the place for you. Having two children under the age of 2, you would think staying anywhere else would be a nightmare. Not here at The Loft. Susan ensured that everything was baby proof which meant our toddler could run around without any issues. The little touches such as sweets, a loaded tea/coffee station, popcorn at the ready and more really made this place feel above and beyond what you think an Airbnb would be. Stunning location in the countryside, secluded but not far away from civilisation once you hop in the car. The place was spotless and everything truly exceeded our expectations.

Booked the Loft as a last minute getaway and couldn’t have been happier with the choice! Really stylish, well designed accommodation, with some really thoughtful touches from the hosts to welcome us and make our stay more enjoyable. Lovely location to chill and relax and enjoy the countryside. Definitely be back in the Summer. Book if you get the chance.

This was a really cute B&B - though traditional it wasn’t old-fashioned and was very clean. Hosts very friendly and helpful - they went the extra mile to be accommodating. It is also an ideal location if you are attending an event at Kelmarsh Hall (we stayed after a wedding and it was a short 8 minute journey away). There was also a great selection for breakfast. Overall very happy with the stay and value for money - would recommend!

Susan's place beyond exceeded all my expectations. The standard of the home was outstanding! The features, amenities, cleanliness, little touches were a class above and had the wow factor. Rectory Barn is stunning and finished to the highest standard. It is in a remote location so perfect to get away from busy everyday life. It is about a 10 minute drive from the nearest town which isn’t to bad at all. It is set in stunning grounds and countryside where you can go for walks if you wish. The inside of the barn is amazing. We had some bread and mince pies on arrival and even a lovely touch with a play Matt and toys on the floor for our little Boy. We would highly recommend the Rectory Barn and will be back to stay sometime.

Outstanding stay in every possible way. Nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay (the Christmas tree and mince pies were a welcome and thoughtful touch). We came home thoroughly rested and eager to rebook. It’s like staying in a 5* hotel. Everything is “luxury class” and beautifully put together. Beds were super comfy, bathrooms were sublime and the electric blinds/lights/heating set-up was dreamy! Thoroughly recommend Susan & Co as hosts and their beautiful home for the perfect getaway. 🙌🙌🙌

As the photos show, The Barn is stunning. It is highly modern and has a great range of amenities. Susan was a great and attentive host, offering tonnes of information before arrival, as well as checking in throughout the weekend. The area is remote but very close to the village of Clipston, with the pub just a 30 minute walk away - perfect. I'd definitely recommend The Barn to anyone looking for a luxurious, sociable space.

"What are bricks worth in Brixworth?" a riddler might ask. And then, upon your guess, they'd continue "Why, as much as you can sell them for!" and vanish into the fog. Thankfully, no such perplexity beset us on our delightful stay at Daphne and Nigel's cottage, save but the singular riddle of our Sunday trip to Market Harborough, bespoilt by the conspicuous absence of Harborough Market, relocated to Leicester on account of a comedy festival. "And Leicester...well, that's another story!" jokes the riddler, emerged from the fog and gurning from the church spire. You may avoid his merry glare and head within, where a Taize service is under way, as was the case when we visited the Saxon jewel of the village, All Saints'. Adding our voices to a small throng and revelling in the quiet, repetitious and beautiful hymn-chants that comprise that gentle bidding of evening's mercy, we found the locals only too happy to chat about matters parochial and broad (which I steered particularly towards local railway history, for reasons known only to myself), a kindness mirrored in our excellent hosts. They were extremely pleasant and helpful throughout; they stocked us for all the breakfast we'd need (for luncheon and supper, Brixworth excels: The Workhouse is genuinely one of the best cafes we've ever been to - Hackney hang your head - The Coach And Horses provided genuinely superior inn-fare, and the Purple Ivy was several cuts above standard also) and even provided detailed handwritten directions for a walk about the country park. Above all, they have etched themselves and their property seamlessly into Latter Albion, where nuthatches frequent birdfeeders five feet from one's bedroom window, where stone walls curve about corners to conceal entrances, where windswept walks by reservoirs present theme playgrounds where one might celebrate one's 33rd birthday by calculating The Cure's Plainsong on a child's vibraphone - "It's just the way I smile!" sings the riddler, hopping over the dam and disappearing beneath ruffled water. We loved being in the cottage itself most of all and even extended our holiday by a night in order to simply spend a day indoors playing Wingspan and compiling our groceries into an apple crumble (Johanna's work, on account of it still being my birthday), whose final slices we left as a token of thanks, which we wish to echo and redouble here. "But how will you send another crumble? Through the post, I suppose? Or by catapult?" L&J

The Cottage is wonderful warm cosy and comfortable home away from home! Daphne has thought about everything and this shows in all the small touches in the cottage. The kitchen is very well stocked and feels like your kitchen at home. The house (& bed) was warm and comfortable as was the bathroom. I’m sorry I didn’t get to visit the garden or meet the cats this time but definitely hope to stay again another time! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Daphne's cottage is a perfect place to stay for a longer time as I did. The place was more spacious than I expected and had everything I needed. The cottage overlooks Daphne's beautiful and well looked-after garden which you can enjoy from your own little patio. Once every few days Daphne would check in with me to see if I needed anything or to bring me fresh bed linen. If I were to go to Brixworth again I would know where to stay.

Daphne and Nigel were both amazing! Extremely welcoming and very friendly. Will definitely be staying again in the future.

Superb cottage. Daphne is a lovely host. Very very quick communication and very flexible, kindly moving our stay by a day or two at short notice. The cottage itself is superb, and the extra touches Daphne provides are very much appreciated and thoughtful. Highly highly recommended!

Beautiful private cottage overlooking gorgeous garden. Brixworth is a gorgeous Northampton village and the cottage is walking distance from decent pubs and a shop.
