I would describe my home as warm and comfortable in an idyllic location with easy access to M1/A14/M6 nearby train station to London and East Mids airport. There is a nearby village shop and local pub and church. Also quaint Market Harboriugh.. Great for walks and cycling and chilling .
Great for walks in countryside

  • Absolutely fantastic! This was my first foray into the world of Airbnb, and what an introduction! James was an amazing host, bent over backwards to assist me, including making room in his garage for my motorbike and sourcing some coffee for me and a hairdryer for the missus. The room was spacious, clean and a lovely comfy bed. Would definitely stay again! Thank you James for a wonderful stay.

The family home, that you will have to yourself, is set in the middle of the beautiful village of Brixworth, Northamptonshire. The village is known for Brixworth Pate, the vineyard of Fleur Fields and scenic country walks around the reservoir (Brixworth country park). There are excellent pubs and coffee shops in the area.
An 8 minute walk will take you to the heart of the village where you can find an excellent coffee house, the local shop, library and pub. A 3-minute walk from the house is a lovely outdoor play area and a big field. The country park, with the great coffee shop, beautiful lake, interactive play park and gorgeous walks, is a 25minute walk or a 4 minute drive from the house. There are many great pubs in the area that I can recommend, such as the Brampton Halt. Within driving distance is the cute town of Market Harborough that offers a more lively scene with plenty of excellent restaurants. There are plenty of other things to do within driving distance including shopping centres, farms, and garden centres (including ice skating during the Christmas season).
  • A great play to stay, with space and amenities to suit for a young family. Toddler bed and travel cotavailable meant we could travel with less stuff, thank you

  • Marijana is a great host, very friendly and helpful. Her place was perfect to stay! I recommend to everyone!

    Dominika2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • As a family with young children, this place was perfect for us. My 3 year old was very well occupied by the toys, and the cupboard was well stocked with child-friendly plates and cups, and Tupperware to take supplies out for them. It was a great home from home for us and we would be likely to use it again. Brixworth itself was lovely for a family meet up. The park by the reservoir was great for both our 3 year old and 10 month old.

    Samantha2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed for just over three weeks. Accommodation had everything you’d need. Very bright and airy and if you need anything at all, the host is just a text away. Simple booking process and host very friendly. We would recommend eating at The George pub, a couple of streets away! Their Sunday roast is delicious. All in all we would recommend staying to anyone.

    Deborah2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for us to meet our friends from Suffolk as a halfway house! Everything we needed was in the house and communication was good! There are some great places nearby to visit, walk eat and drink! Would recommend

Fresh and light twin room for two guests with ensuite shower room. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast included. Suitable for business guests or those who want easy access to the area and beyond by road or rail to visit family of friends. I have been a host to guests in France and can speak French. I can advise of walks around the area. We are only 10 minutes drive to Brixworth where Mercedes is based.
There is a small sitting room that can be used by guests with a television in the evening. Breakfast is served in this room downstairs.
The village is very safe and quiet. There is a shop open early to late 5 minutes walk away in a square also a chemist and an Indian curry restaurant. If guests wish to eat at a pub there is one in the next village less than 10 minutes drive away.

  • This place is one in a million. Very clean. Very welcoming. Breakfast provided was great. All sorts of cereals, bread, preserves, fruit juice. I would love to stay here again, but I'm not sure I'll be in the area at any time in the future. Debbie's husband (Steve) was very welcoming and explained where everything was. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone in the future. Thanks Debbie (& Steve) for everything.

This charming Edwardian Terraced house is situated in a convenient location, walking distance from local amenities and the beautiful scenery of Pitsford Water. The accomodation consists of two double bedrooms, bathroom with bath and shower, cosy open plan living / dining room, galley kitchen, downstairs toilet and beautiful, large shared garden. The historic village of Brixworth is home to the well know Saxon church built in 680 AD, which is the earliest basilica church north of the Alps.
The house is a typical small Edwardian terraced house built around 1910 for artisan workers. The interior has been opened up by previous owners to make the space more convenient and lighter. Some original features have been retained. It is a great place to stay as it is within walking distance of the shops, the ancient saxon church, and Pitsford Water. There are convenient bus routes to Leicester, Market Harborough, Northampton and Milton Keynes, with the bus stops at the end of Broad Street.
Brixworth is an expanding village but still retains the village atmosphere. The neighbours are all friendly . Although the houses in Broad Street seem like town houses it is an essentially rural area in beautiful countryside.
  • Fantastic host the place was spotless a home from home. All the amenities you need and very comfortable beds. Great touches home made cake was delicious.

  • Claira accommodated some floor layers working on our house. She baked a cake for them, they had a lovely stay and she was very accommodating when there was some confusion on our end about check out.

    Jessica2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Come and stay at Claira's house and you will not be disappointed, and if you play the piano, there's a piano waiting for you to make your stay extra special

    Rufus2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • We were fortunate to be the first guests at Claira's and as such maybe expect a few teething issues... nope! Absolutely everything for us was covered and exceeded. They are a delightful couple, friendly, warm and willing to help if required. The house is gorgeous and immaculate with some lovely touches. It feels warm and homely as opposed to cold and clinical which is great for families. Too many positives to list so if you're in the area you should definitely book! We were also lucky enough to try Claira's home made lemon curd, worth the price of our stay alone!!! Thank you again, it was lovely.

  • Nigel’s place is a true gem. Very stylish and comfortable. Centrally located as well. Nigel is a responsive host and went above and beyond for me. I had a family emergency that cut my stay short, unfortunately. Nigel and I were able to come to an amicable agreement on a refund. I would definitely recommend staying here.

  • Our stay at Nigels place really went very well, this little house is very nicely furnished and decorated with great taste. The location is ideal to be quiet and have a relaxing stay. The option to have a delicious cooked breakfast at a very reasonable cost was an added bonus. Helen had even tastefully put up Christmas decorations to make the Cabin feel extra festive! Breakfast was fabulous and the bed was one of the comfiest we’ve ever slept in ...... thank you Ruth (and your young assistant for her help and company over breakfast)

  • This is a fantastic place to stay, Ruth is the epitome of a great host. The accommodation was clean, cosy and very well stocked with snacks, water and hot drinks. The breakfast was phenomenal, by far the best I have had in any bed and breakfast. Ruth was very knowledgeable of the local area and was able to quickly recommend places for any questions I had. I booked based on the amazing reviews left by others and I wasn't disappointed, a perfect place to stay for any trip in the area. Thank you Ruth.

We've a spacious comfy room with a 4ft bed with double duvet and quality cotton sheets. Perfect place for Mon - Fri stays. The house has central heating and is quiet, being well off the road and overlooking fields with gorgeous views. Guests get sole use of the family bathroom with a big bath only with loads of hot water. Breakfast is available on a self service basis: cereal, toast, etc., and guests are welcome to share the living room with a cosy woodburner and TV. Free wifi
Our house is a farmhouse on a working farm with crops and livestock. It is a lovely place with views across the fields - the terrace is a beautiful sunny spot to sit and watch the animals. Guests are welcome to help themselves to drinks as they need as well as breakfast in the morning. We are generally busy with animals first thing in the morning so are not usually available to help with breakfast although easily contactable if needed. but it is a good chance to find out about life on a proper working farm and guests are welcome to walk in the fields.

Set in beautiful Northamptonshire countryside, the studio provides a comfortable, quiet country retreat. The large balcony and seating area look out onto the garden and countryside beyond with the most stunning views. Guests will have unique access to the lake and walks round the farm. With great local pubs, Rutland Water, The Derngate Theatre and numerous historical houses there are plenty of places to explore. It's the perfect getaway for couples.
The studio flat is attached to the main house but with its own private entrance. We live on a small farm with friendly dogs plus horses, chickens and sheep in the surrounding fields. You will have unique access to the lake and private walks as well as all the usual footpaths in the area. We will also lend our bikes if you want to explore the surrounding area there are some great hilly rides! If you like the outdoor life bring wellies and coats. Or you can keep cosy in the flat and use the well kitted out kitchen, TV or raid the games cupboard! Please note to access the flat you will need to walk up a set of fairly steep outdoor steps. These are lit at night and slip proof. The studio is comfortably furnished with a responsive heating system, plenty of hot water and large brand new beds that can be configured as two singles or a large king as you wish. We will provide a welcome breakfast basket with basic provisions plus locally sourced eggs, milk and bread.
Haselbech is a unique location with the most incredible countryside views. Nearby you can visit the Battle of Naseby, houses of interest well worth a visit include Cotton Manor Gardens (amazing bluebell woods) Althorp Estate, Hambeldon Hall and Castle Ashby. The famous Warner Edwards Gin comes from nearby Harrington village and you can book tasting tours round the distillery. Market Harborough is a fabulous market town 20 minutes away, with a thriving high street and great independent shops. On the way check out Waterloo Farm in Great Oxden for award winning organic meat. The best coffee and brunch in town is served by Bowden Stores, 2 minutes from the train station in Great Bowden village.
  • Our stay at the Haselbech Hill Studio Flat can only be described as "fantastic". From the moment we arrived to our departure three days later we realised how fortunate one is being a guest here. The flat has everything that is required for a comfortable stay but that is only part - important as that is - of what is on offer. It is a very tranquil environment, the balcony looks out on a magnificent garden, and the view from the flat's window and balcony over the valley is stunning. Tess and David welcomed us on arrival. They live in the Haselbech Hill main residence and represented the owner (who by the way is a member of the family). Both are perfect hosts and contributed to an already wonderful stay. Add to all this the sound of only birds, the beautiful, rural surroundings, the small country lanes, and the small villages in the area and you realise that this is a place where you can truly relax and unwind. It's wonderful !

    Wouter2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I spent 4 great nites at the flat. The surrounds are simply beautiful, our hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed (the gresh eggs from the farm an especially lovely and unexpected touch) and it was the perfect location for getting away from the hustle and bustle. Will definitely be back.

    Neil2019-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • The studio at Haselbech is such a dream. I have nothing bad to say about it. It is on a lovely farm with a backyard lake, the owners Tess and David are the nicest people ever, the place is stylish and well equipped with all the breakfast things and even fresh eggs. They are warm and welcoming, the dogs and chickens are lovely and we are so excited to return.

    Adrienne2019-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Haselbech is a little slice of heaven. So peaceful and rejuvenating set in the most stunning countryside. Sitting on the balcony with the sun on your face looking out onto uninterrupted countryside is bliss. Bex is a very organised and super helpful host with a ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude. I wasn’t familiar with the area but she took the time to fill me in on the surrounding days out and places to eat. The flat is perfect just for 1 or for a small family. It’s cosy, comfortable, light and airy. We will be back!

  • We stayed with Sally again recently and it was a lovely experience, as before. Sally’s house is in a beautiful location and her attention to detail makes for a wonderful stay.

    Lorcan2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sally has a beautiful house in an equally beautiful location and she is an extremely welcoming host. Her 2 rooms with shared bathroom are ideal for 2-4 people sharing. A lovely breakfast is included. Overall, Sally creates a wonderful impression and I am happy to recommend her to any guest.

    Lorcan2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot rate this highly enough. Sally greeted us immediately on arrival and invited us in. We had a lovely chat about our plans while visiting, and sally recalled topics discussed via messaging prior to our visit. We were shown to the bedrooms which were beautifully decorated in-keeping with the period house. There was complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate supplemented by biscuits, sparkling and still water, and homemade fresh orange juice in the room fridge. We were shown how everything works, and there were guides in case anything was forgotten. We were late to our party, and didn’t catch Sally as we bundled out the door, however we were greeted when we returned late that night to check what time we would like to have breakfast! We came upstairs to find our rooms turned down, and all cutlery previously used clean and items restocked. Amazing touch. Breakfast was beautifully laid out, and the choice was abundant with Cereals, Jams, cooked to order breakfast, and more homemade orange juice. In short Thorpe Underwood Farm B&B is quintessential. We were made to feel incredibly welcome, with nothing being too much trouble. Thank you Sally.

  • Susan’s place is amazing, so much attention to detail & to top it off a super attentive host !

  • Susan is a wonderful host. All communication is so thorough, you won't have any questions left unanswered. Always on hand for anything and messages you back straight away. Perfect host! Ton welcomed us into The Loft and showed us around, such a friendly and warm gentleman - giving our stay the perfect start. The Loft - is just so stunning! The pictures are gorgeous but in reality it is so much better. The views are gorgeous! The apartment itself is impressively carbon neutral and has everything you need any more. It's super clean, spacious, warm and the technology is amazing. We really appreciated the little touches that shows how much thought has gone into providing a great experience. We had chocolates beside each bed, bread milk jams cereals for breakfast, wellies in various sizes for walks around the estate, Amazon music, Netflix, Nespresso machine + pods & milk frother, Rituals toiletries, popcorn machine. Thanks to Susan we were equipped with everything we needed to have an absolutely wonderful few days away. I can't wait to come back and even visit some of her other homes! Returning home today so so so happy - thank you!!

  • Beautiful property with every need of the guest thought of and more. Susan responds immediately to any questions and is very helpful. Certainly somewhere I would not hesitate to return to

  • Susan's place in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside was perfect for our family Christmas get-away. The location is idyllic and the property was amazing in every way. Susan is a fantastically considerate host and went out of her way to accommodate us. Thank you Susan. Simply 5 stars. We hope to stay with you again soon.

  • Anyone lucky enough to stay here will not be disappointed. This property is exceptional. It is beautifully furnished, situated in wonderful countryside and has everything you need in it and more. The host Susan, is super helpful, friendly and responded to questions very quickly. I cannot recommend a stay at this property enough.

    Jess2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place is second to none. If you are coming with children then this is the place for you. Having two children under the age of 2, you would think staying anywhere else would be a nightmare. Not here at The Loft. Susan ensured that everything was baby proof which meant our toddler could run around without any issues. The little touches such as sweets, a loaded tea/coffee station, popcorn at the ready and more really made this place feel above and beyond what you think an Airbnb would be. Stunning location in the countryside, secluded but not far away from civilisation once you hop in the car. The place was spotless and everything truly exceeded our expectations.

  • Booked the Loft as a last minute getaway and couldn’t have been happier with the choice! Really stylish, well designed accommodation, with some really thoughtful touches from the hosts to welcome us and make our stay more enjoyable. Lovely location to chill and relax and enjoy the countryside. Definitely be back in the Summer. Book if you get the chance.

  • Thank you for such a wonderful stay, Susan! The Loft is truly beautiful and so elegant whilst still being fantastically homely. I did not want to leave! Cannot wait to be back!

  • This was a really cute B&B - though traditional it wasn’t old-fashioned and was very clean. Hosts very friendly and helpful - they went the extra mile to be accommodating. It is also an ideal location if you are attending an event at Kelmarsh Hall (we stayed after a wedding and it was a short 8 minute journey away). There was also a great selection for breakfast. Overall very happy with the stay and value for money - would recommend!

Welcome to Your Home in the East Midlands! My air-conditioned, underfloor heated, spacious 3 bedroom barn conversion, is the result of a loving conversion of the standalone Victorian red-brick barn at my family home, Rectory Farm. The Barn is set in a private 14 acre estate in the rolling countryside close to Market Harborough (1 hour by high speed train to London). The Barn has literally just been converted for luxury modern living in Autumn 2019 so everything is brand new and sparkling clean. Its filled with custom-made furniture, original art, premium appliances and fun gadgets. The Barn is a large 160m2 sq metre / 1800 square foot space which welcomes friends and families or work colleagues travelling together. Ideal for those who want a relaxing and luxurious place to stay which is a world apart from the chain hotels and poor quality accommodation otherwise available. Luxury doesn’t have to mean squandering precious resources – we use Solar Power, Air Source heating, Filtered Well Water and more means you can enjoy your stay without it having to dwell on your conscience. If you are coming in a bigger group why not consider also booking my other 3 bedroom listing at the same location, The Loft - Its a beautiful 2 bedroom relaxing Stable conversion that sleeps 6 adults and has its own balcony overlooking its pond, terrace, BBQ and private parking . Put together the two units offer sleep 14 adults and 4 infants and offer an amazing space for larger reunions and get togethers. • Susan's place beyond exceeded all my expectations. The standard of the home was outstanding! The features, amenities, cleanliness, little touches were a class above and had the wow factor. It had everything and more that we could ask for. For the perfect weekend escape with family and friends, I couldn't recommend this place highly enough!

  • A fantastic place! We had a wonderful weekend away at The Barn and will definitely return!

  • Rectory Barn is stunning and finished to the highest standard. It is in a remote location so perfect to get away from busy everyday life. It is about a 10 minute drive from the nearest town which isn’t to bad at all. It is set in stunning grounds and countryside where you can go for walks if you wish. The inside of the barn is amazing. We had some bread and mince pies on arrival and even a lovely touch with a play Matt and toys on the floor for our little Boy. We would highly recommend the Rectory Barn and will be back to stay sometime.

    Dan2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding stay in every possible way. Nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay (the Christmas tree and mince pies were a welcome and thoughtful touch). We came home thoroughly rested and eager to rebook. It’s like staying in a 5* hotel. Everything is “luxury class” and beautifully put together. Beds were super comfy, bathrooms were sublime and the electric blinds/lights/heating set-up was dreamy! Thoroughly recommend Susan & Co as hosts and their beautiful home for the perfect getaway. 🙌🙌🙌

  • As the photos show, The Barn is stunning. It is highly modern and has a great range of amenities. Susan was a great and attentive host, offering tonnes of information before arrival, as well as checking in throughout the weekend. The area is remote but very close to the village of Clipston, with the pub just a 30 minute walk away - perfect. I'd definitely recommend The Barn to anyone looking for a luxurious, sociable space.

  • "What are bricks worth in Brixworth?" a riddler might ask. And then, upon your guess, they'd continue "Why, as much as you can sell them for!" and vanish into the fog. Thankfully, no such perplexity beset us on our delightful stay at Daphne and Nigel's cottage, save but the singular riddle of our Sunday trip to Market Harborough, bespoilt by the conspicuous absence of Harborough Market, relocated to Leicester on account of a comedy festival. "And Leicester...well, that's another story!" jokes the riddler, emerged from the fog and gurning from the church spire. You may avoid his merry glare and head within, where a Taize service is under way, as was the case when we visited the Saxon jewel of the village, All Saints'. Adding our voices to a small throng and revelling in the quiet, repetitious and beautiful hymn-chants that comprise that gentle bidding of evening's mercy, we found the locals only too happy to chat about matters parochial and broad (which I steered particularly towards local railway history, for reasons known only to myself), a kindness mirrored in our excellent hosts. They were extremely pleasant and helpful throughout; they stocked us for all the breakfast we'd need (for luncheon and supper, Brixworth excels: The Workhouse is genuinely one of the best cafes we've ever been to - Hackney hang your head - The Coach And Horses provided genuinely superior inn-fare, and the Purple Ivy was several cuts above standard also) and even provided detailed handwritten directions for a walk about the country park. Above all, they have etched themselves and their property seamlessly into Latter Albion, where nuthatches frequent birdfeeders five feet from one's bedroom window, where stone walls curve about corners to conceal entrances, where windswept walks by reservoirs present theme playgrounds where one might celebrate one's 33rd birthday by calculating The Cure's Plainsong on a child's vibraphone - "It's just the way I smile!" sings the riddler, hopping over the dam and disappearing beneath ruffled water. We loved being in the cottage itself most of all and even extended our holiday by a night in order to simply spend a day indoors playing Wingspan and compiling our groceries into an apple crumble (Johanna's work, on account of it still being my birthday), whose final slices we left as a token of thanks, which we wish to echo and redouble here. "But how will you send another crumble? Through the post, I suppose? Or by catapult?" L&J

  • The Cottage is wonderful warm cosy and comfortable home away from home! Daphne has thought about everything and this shows in all the small touches in the cottage. The kitchen is very well stocked and feels like your kitchen at home. The house (& bed) was warm and comfortable as was the bathroom. I’m sorry I didn’t get to visit the garden or meet the cats this time but definitely hope to stay again another time! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

    Sylvia2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Daphne's cottage is a perfect place to stay for a longer time as I did. The place was more spacious than I expected and had everything I needed. The cottage overlooks Daphne's beautiful and well looked-after garden which you can enjoy from your own little patio. Once every few days Daphne would check in with me to see if I needed anything or to bring me fresh bed linen. If I were to go to Brixworth again I would know where to stay.
