  • Lovely cottage. Peaceful and quiet. Well appointed and very good value.

  • Ann's terraced house is a lovely place to stay. The original house is cozy and well equipped . The added conservatory on to the back is facing Snowdonia and if you're lucky you'll have the most amazing view. It is just out of town, but amenities are never far away, neither is the sea. The traffic is not that much, despite being next to the road. The supersize big bed is comfortable and having 2 bathrooms a little luxury. We'd love to come back .

  • Comfortable, well equipped and cosy place. Great location and stunning views. Recommended!

    Linda2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely find! The photos really don't do this place justice... it's huge, yet warm and cosy. The finishing touches make it incredibly homely, and our host was kind enough to check we were warm enough through the storm. The location was perfect for us, quiet and secluded, with a beach and a chippy only 15 minutes away. We loved it that much, whilst sitting on the sofa, under cosy blankets kindly provided, listening to the fire roaring... we booked again for the summer! Looking forward to our next stay!

    Kath2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to chill and relax with all that you will ever need. We had to stay on while the storm was battering all around and it was so cosy and warm with the log fire burning away. This place is so central for the beach or the inland and would look at coming back anytime, it’s a real surprise when you walk through the door and see how spacious it is. Great caring host who although we never Met was there checking we were ok and all was as we wanted. 5 Stars.

  • Loved the cottage...we had a lovely time...a perfect night sky and beautiful views to wake up to...Amenities were only 10 minutes away...stunning beaches...happy to return. Paul n Clair

Tne caravan is situated in a lovely secluded paddock next to our house with views of the Snowdonia mountains and easy access to fantastic beaches and forests. Award winning restaurant just 3 minutes drive away. There is a shower unit which is shared use with our guests staying in the other caravan next door. They now have their own composting loo and so do you!
  • First, the caravan is the cutest and if you're looking for somewhere to stay a little different than your typical Airbnb, don't look any further. It was super clean and with all the equipment needed for a short stay. The little wood stove kept the place warm and the beds were really comfortable. Mike and Joanna are very nice guests and gave lots of local tips.

    Tymèle2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Mike's place is lovely. He was very helpful and answered any queries immediately. Despite the stormy weather, we were safe and warm in the caravan.

    Clare2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a amazing hidden gem. We had a amazing time here. Mike as host we couldn't fault, from lighting the fire so it was cosy and warm for our arrival to fresh milk and his own eggs too . If we could give 11 out of 10 we would. Would recommend 1000% and were already looking at our next visit

    Rob2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for my wife and two children

    Chris2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • There was always good communication from Mike from the moment of booking, he responded quickly to our questions. The accommodation was outstanding and the craftsmanship of Mike is very impressive. We arrived on the day of the worst storm Anglesey had seen for a long time. The place was clean and beautiful. There is everything you could possibly need to be more than comfortable. The fresh eggs from Mike's own chickens was a lovely touch. We had one minor problem which Mike fixed straight away. There was plenty of firewood for the log burner, which Mike replenished straight away on request. The storm howled for 24 hours (it was brilliant) but we were warm, very comfy and safe. Mike had done a wonderful job of the accommodation. His dogs are lovely too. A wonderful place and host. Can't wait to go back!

    Wendy2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful hut, everything we needed and much more, perfect little getaway, the gypsy hut was spotless, so so snug and cozy. Mike was brilliant, great communication, provided everything we asked for, his home and animals are just beautiful. Thank you so much for an amazing night, we will certainly be back in the near future!

    Jessie2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Mike was super helpful and friendly! The Gypsy Hut was amazing! Really cosy and warm even though the weather was awful outside. It made it even cosier. Thanks again Mike for being a great host!

  • Amazing stay! Everything as described if not better! Excellent host good communication! Lit the fire just before we arrived which was a lovely touch! Couldn’t recommend enough!

We have just moved our bell tent to a more sheltered location on our front lawn. Fabulous view from the patio across our field to the rolling countryside beyond. Easy access to fantastic beaches and forests just ten minutes drive away. Award winning restaurant just 3 minutes drive away - in UK Top 40 places to eat. The tent now has it’s own private composting toilet and shower unit together with a kitchen sink and draining board.
The tent is well-equipped for your stay with a double bed though we have moved out the sofa bed and replaced it with an armchair. There is a log-burning stove and an electric blanket on the bed so you will be warm even in the winter! There is a cooking area with two-ring electric hob, kettle and fridge. The local pub is very friendly and does good food
  • We had a fantastic time here. The tent has so much attention to detail and everything that you would need. The hot shower is lovely! And the eggs and milk upon arrival were a lovely surprise. Thank you Mike!

    Anna2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay in the Luna tent. Tent had everything you needed for a comfortable break. Fire kept the tent warm even in the winter. Mike was a friendly host and explained everything about the accommodation and local eateries. Would be a great place to stay in the summer as well when you could sit outside. Friendly family dogs.

    Paul2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Mike's place was one of the best places I stayed in during my UK tour. It has got everything one would need. It's a good place to explore Anglesey and it's very close to Snowdonia aswell. Mike is a very friendly host. The place has got Caravans aswell and hence a large group could book the place. Thank you for the hospitality Mike.

    Bharat2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay - really nice facilities and super location ! Would recommend :)

    Jess2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Everything from start to finish was great. Decided to have a night away very last minute, Mike was very responsive and helpful - putting a camp bed into the bell tent for our daughter. The tent itself was very spacious (even with an extra bed) we arrived and were given a brief but descript tour of the facilities, the fire was on, and it was all very cosy. My husband had concerns that it may of been cold, but it was the opposite - we found ourselves turning off the electric blanket during the night! We will definitely be returning later in the year when the nights are lighter so we can sit out and enjoy the view.

    Justine2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • You have to come here!! It was absolutely amazing, the views to wake up to in the morning are outstanding. Easily located off the road, close enough to multiple different attractions. Warm and cosy inside the teepee too, definitely recommend.

    Jack2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable place to stay! Host recommended a great tapas bar and everything was easy to find! Only 25 minute drive from Zip World! Fabulous night thank you.

  • This place deserves a 5 star ++++ I came with my partner and my 4 month old baby called Enfys which is great as the cottage is called 'Ty Enfys'. Now my partner and I love using air BnB but this place is 100% the best we've been too! Rosie, Phil & Maddie are the perfect hosts, extremely kind, caring and friendly and always on hand of you need anything at all. I literally have nothing bad to say. Thank you again and hope to return soon X

    Lauren2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • We visited for a Birthday retreat for my partner and we had an amazing time. We were greeted by a fire lit on the wood burner by Phil to welcome us away from Storm Jorge. This is a real find, we didn’t want to leave.

    Jack2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Just book it now. You’ll thank me later. Absolutely perfect!

    Tomas2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a nice weekend stay, the cottage was lovely and in a good location. Rosie & Phil were very accommodating and helpful to any questions we had and Phil even gave us a lift into town to save taxi fares. Only downside was the weather but there’s nothing you can do about that but the cottage was a lovely place to relax on a rainy day. Would definitely recommend.

    Dave2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing two nights and could have stayed forever, it was really cosey inside and I was obsessed with the wood burner (sorry Rosie if I used loads of wood & coal). The area is super peaceful and quiet so we slept amazing. On the 2nd day we drove to newborough where I’d fully recommend the walk over to the island when the tide is low we had a great day out at the beach. We would definitely recommend the sandy mount house in Rhosniger which was lovely and quite new? Lovely stay and we will be back soon!

    Daniel2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely cottage. Sparkling clean, cosy and homely! My boyfriend and I had a fantastic stay. Great hosts, so helpful and friendly! Couldn’t have asked for any more. Thanks again!

    Hannah2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a fantastic 3 night break at Rosies cottage and loved every minute. The cottage is so cosy and comfortable we didn’t want to leave! In fact we cancelled dinner reservations on both Friday and Saturday night so we could just stay in and make the most of it! Rosie and Phil are perfect hosts (helped by Bruce and Nipper of course!) and were always there when needed. Perfect location for long walks and simply relaxing. Lovely little pub 15 minute walk away as well. Amazing stay thank you again!

    Kieran2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is lovely place to stay in a beautiful location. It is cosy and peaceful. Phil and Rosie are great hosts and gave us lots of great advice about places to walk. They had lit a fire prior to us arriving so all we had to do was open the wine and relax!

A sympathetic renovation of a 1772 built village home was completed in 2016, in the grounds of owner's home. This studio property has a double bed, table and chairs, a kitchenette and level access shower room. There is a multi fuel stove, background electric heating, wifi and TV /dvd. The kitchenette includes a fridge freezer, sink, toaster, kettle and microwave. Two well behaved dogs welcome at no additional charge. Smoke free. 2 miles from beach, restaurant, cafe, forest and shop.
This property does not have a cooker. Owners have two friendly dogs. On street parking in quiet village next to the property and space for 1 car on the driveway which also benefits from camera security.
Dwyran is a quiet Welsh village, situated just off the main coast road.
  • What an amazing place to stay, has everything you need and super cozy. Annie and Rob are lovely friendly hosts. Can't wait to rebook.

  • Our stay at Annie’s place was perfect. So cosy and friendly, and Annie and Rob were amazing. Nothing was too much for them and Rob was particularly helpful with lighting the fire when we needed it. Great place to stay which is nearby lots of great walks and beaches. Couldn’t rate it high enough. Thank you so much.

    Rebecca2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful two night stay. The cottage is beautiful and very clean. Annie was very helpful and had kindly started the wood burner for us before we arrived so the cottage was lovely and warm. The cottage has a very cosy feel! We had been provided with tea/coffee, milk and welsh cakes which was lovely to arrive to. Annie was always available if we needed anything or needed to ask advice on where to visit. We would definitely recommend and would be very keen to go back ourselves.

    Kristie2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little cosy getaway. Annie and Rob were so welcoming and provided us with lots of logs for the fire. TV had lots of options, Netflix iplayer, prime video etc. Great food recommendations! A car is a necessity due to the lovely nature surroundings it’s a bit far to walk to the shops. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Newborough, Anglesey. A recently renovated annexe to our main house, with its own separate entrance. Downstairs there is large sitting room with dining area. Patio doors open into the garden. There is also a bathroom and small open plan kitchen. A staircase leads upstairs to the spacious bedroom with ensuite shower room. The bedroom has a large picture window with panoramic views towards Snowdonia, Caernarfon, the Menai Strait and the Llyn Peninsula (not to mention our lovely garden!).
The annexe is a self-contained unit at the far end of our house, with its own separate entrance. It is connected to the main house by a door at the top of the stairs, but this is kept securely locked by 2 doors, has additional soundproofing and is bolted on the guest side, for complete security and reassurance. The small kitchen leads off from the main seating area and has cooking facilities with cooker (oven, grill and hob), microwave, toaster, Nespresso machine, fridge and a small dishwasher. We have recently added a new breakfast bar. The downstairs sitting area is light and spacious with patio doors leading out into the garden. There is a smart TV with built in DVD player. We offer a range of DVDs and some games for your use. There is good wi-fi and phone reception throughout the annexe. There is a downstairs bathroom with bath and separate shower. A flight of stairs leads from the sitting room up to the bedroom and en-suite shower room. The bedroom has a cosy sitting alcove and there is also a paperback library here. The bedroom itself has a large picture window with views towards Snowdonia, Caernarfon, the Menai Strait and the Llyn Peninsula. On cooler days, heating is provided by storage heaters. We provide a small welcome pack to provide you with some breakfast basics to set you up on your first day. We also provide 2 pods per day for use in the Nespresso machine, but if you are a bit of a coffee addict, please bring additional pods with you.
We are on a hill in a quiet country lane, but a 5 minute drive (or 20 minute walk) from the village of Newborough with its local facilities (village pub, chip shop, convenience store, curios/gift shop and chiropodist). In addition to the cosy and friendly Red Squirrel cafe in the village, there are also cafes at the transport museum (Tacla Taid) and the model village on the outskirts of town, along with the highly rated Marram Grass restaurant. A little further afield there's a great choice of places to eat to cover all tastes and budgets. Newborough Forest and Beach is a brisk 40 minute walk away (but less than 10 minutes by car). It is also possible to leave your car and go walking straight from our gate, with a selection of walks on public footpaths through lanes and fields (waterproof footwear advised and an OS map is handy). Based in the South West corner of Anglesey, we are the perfect base for heading off in all directions, be it Newborough beach, Beaumaris, Rosneigr, South Stack or even back to Snowdonia on the mainland (several of our guests have used the annexe as a base for visiting Snowdon).

Don't worry about bringing basic food items. I leave a box of breakfast goodies with cereals, jam, marmalade, honey plus sauces etc. There is also tea, coffee and sugar. Butter and milk in the fridge and bread in the bread box to start you off. I don’t actually cook your breakfast! A bottle of wine (let me know via message your preference - red or white - or if you prefer ... cider / beer / lager) & bags of crisps to unwind you after travelling! Peace and quiet ...... Secure and safe ..... Friendly neighbours ...... Relax in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty ..... Majority of island's landmarks can be reached after a leisurely drive on quiet roads. DON'T FORGET TO CHECK YOUR AIRBNB FULL ITINERARY EMAIL. SENT TO YOU 3 DAYS BEFORE ARRIVAL. IT GIVES YOU THE KEYBOX CODE & FULL DIRECTIONS! Plenty of easy walking, and the Forestry has cycle paths too if you are bringing yours. Back on the mainland lots to see and do. For the energetic travellers there is always climbing Snowdon and the ZipWire for the brave! Train up Snowdon for the less energetic! You can be almost anywhere on the island within half an hour or so. Carting track, racing track, regular Sunday car boot and market at Mona - something for everyone. On the island Plas Newydd National Trust house to visit, beautiful Beaumaris too. There are boat trips, rip rides, gardens, great food, art galleries and crafts, RNLI at Moelfre, South Stack Lighthouse, Copper Mountain at Amlwch, family friendly beaches - the list goes on. Recommend the Oriel close to Llangefni, for island history and artwork, next to golf range and course. On the mainland Bangor cathedral and town, Caernarfon, visit the mountains, slate mines, castles, gardens - whatever floats your boat! Yes, you can even hire canoes/kayaks by the day! We use the small local shops - very friendly, but Tesco at Bangor deliver and Llangefni has Asda, Iceland, Farm Foods, Lidl and Aldi. Fish&Chips, newspapers, milk, off-licence etc are 5min walk into the village, a pub - The Joiners - but check his opening hours first, as the landlord is a law unto himself! The White Lion in Newborough (less than 10min drive) is a dog-friendly pub, and serves meals too. There is also a cafe/craft room in Malltraeth, with great home-made meals and cakes. Details of a useful website for dog owners so you can find ‘dog friendly’ pubs is in the cottage folder. If you want it before, I can text it to you when you’ve booked.
  • A wonderful spot for sightseeing, local pubs and restaurants and dog walks! We had a great time with our two labradors and will be back! Newborough was a real highlight of the trip too. Lovely touches such as having milk in the fridge when we got there made it even better. Thanks Hil.

  • Hil was an outstanding host. We wouldn’t have imagined staying any other place for our first trip to Wales! We were over the moon with our Wine, Breakfast basket, Bread, Milk, Croissants on arrival. Hil has added all of the personal touches to the stay to make a great bnb. Hil had also left various bathroom items that a lot of people may forget to being which just shows how much she cares about her guests. We would love to stay again and highly recommend anyone else to stay.

Loads of personal touches by the host which were really handy, ie milk and bread on arrival. Host easily contactable and really helpful. We had a fantastic time and look forward to visiting again.

  • Hil’s place was the perfect home from home. Great location close to the Malltraeth Estuary and Newborough Forest. Perfect for walking, cycling and spotting wildlife. Everything on the island is within easy reach (30-40mins by car max). Thoughtful touches like the bottle of wine on arrival and breakfast cereals/bread etc made it the perfect stay. Will stay again!

Tan Y Fron is a cosy place dating back to 1866 with wood stove fire and lots of origanal fetures, quiet location and everything you would need for that special holiday, only a very short distance from the famous and beautiful Newborough Beach, with great pet friendly pub, the famous red squirrel cafe, stunning restaurant, local office licence, park for the children, museum, even a fabulous fish and chip shop all right at your door step,
Tan Y fron dates back as far as ive found 1866, after many renovations to the property Tan y Fron has rewarded me with some of its secrets, beautiful stone walls in living room, original stone fire place, original floor boards and celing beams, and the shoe of Tan y Fron placed in the walls while built to ward off witches, there is a lot more information on this in the welcome pack, Tan y Fron is a cosy romantic place for either them long winters nights with the fire roaring and candles lit or a great spot for days of adventures with the children, Great spot for cycling hiking site visits or you can't get much closer for them long days on one of Angleseys most stunning beachs Newborough beach and forest you could spend days there and still not find everything it has to offer, we have made all efforts to makeTan Y Fron your special home from home. Tan Y Fron is in the centre of Newborough on a quiet street with very friendly neighbours
  • Highly recommended. We had the most amazing time and the house is so cosy and full of every home comfort we could have possibly wanted! And the location was perfect for getting to all that newborough has to offer. We also very much enjoyed your thorough and entertaining information book! I've no doubt we will be back in the future

  • Really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Communications with Dave excellent. Cottage was comfortable, warm, very clean and well equipped. It is in an excellent location for visiting Llanddwyn Island the main reason for our trip. Lots of other interesting places to visit nearby. Would definitely return if visiting Anglesey in the future.

  • I highly recommend this air bnb. The property was ideally located for our stay with short drive to the beach and short walk to a local restaurant (The Marram Grass). The host kept us well informed during booking and during the stay and supplied a detailed info booklet within the property that answered any questions we may have. The property is perfectly cosy with great stove all ready to fire up on our arrival. The linen was clean, beds comfortable, showers hot. The property was filled with all the things you would need from pots, pans, spices and sauces, cook books, towels, soaps and the lost goes on. Quiet location. Highly recommended.

  • We stayed at the cottage with our three young children age 8, 6 and 18 months .Before we arrived we got very detailed Info about how to get there and where best to park . David was great throughout , there was prosecco and flowers when we arrived , an amazing information folder and answered any questions quickly .The cottage is near to a shop , cafe , pub and chippy but also very near to an amazing nature reserve and beach .As we were there in Feb it was great to come back to a log burner and Netflix !The cottage had everything we needed , was very well equipped and there was loads for the kids to do very nearby .we loved it and will no doubt be back .

    Mandy2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • David's place is simply perfect, we'd recommend it to anyone. Newborough is the ideal location to explore Anglesey from, the cottage is in the middle of the village, walking distance from everything you need, including the forest and the beach. The space itself is warm and welcoming, the kitchen is really well equipped and we felt at home immediately. The lounge is superb, cosy sofas, a roaring log fire and beautiful original features. David was a great host, communicated by text message and made checking in and out very easy. He also left a few gifts for us to make us feel welcome, which we certainly did!

My home is in a rural location ,a stone's throw away from Anglesey's most iconic beach,Llanddwyn ,on the island's beautiful West coast. This area is steeped in history and mythology, the home of Welsh Princes and legends. Magic stones and druids ,is this playground. On a Summer's night imagine yourself surrounded by millions of stars as you sit in my wild flower garden, the scent of wild honeysuckle mingling with the sea breeze, the bats dancing happy in the balmy Summer air.
The property is ideally situated for exploring beautifull beaches and secret coves. Close to the Anglesey coastal path. Easy access to Snowdonia it's rugged landscape and famous castles, Caernarfon approx 25 mins away and Conwy a 40 minute drive. The historic beautiful town of Beaumaris is close by . If it'surfing paradise you're after Rhosneigr is a 10minute drive. Also on my doorstep is the World famous Trac Mon which attracts speed enthusiasts both from motorcycling and motor sports. The property offers a double room, a shared kitchen and bathroom a large living room with Sky TV, super fast broadband. Kitchen equipment , you can use the microwave, toaster, kettle and the fridge is always well stocked for a continental breakfast if you so wish.
The surrounding area although rural does offer high class restaurants if that's what your after , the nearest being a 5 minute drive, the nationally acclaimed Maram Grass has been awarded many prestigious awards. Nearby Rhosneigr also boasts many fine dining experiences. A favourite of mine however is the small village pub in Aberffraw, The Crown which offers good quality food at a reasonable price and a chance to mingle with the locals!
  • Peace and beauty surround you. Anna is a genuine and welcoming host. The place is warm, clean and comfortable. Anna's healthy breakfasts are top quality. I can't speak too highly of our stay at Anna's home.

    Moira2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • My young daughter and I were welcomed into Anna’s house, like members of the family for the weekend, and invited to relax in the lounge and warm ourselves by the fire on the stormy evenings. Yet the privacy of our room and our comings and goings was also respected. There were lovely touches in our room like tea, coffee, fruit and homemade cake. The room itself was airy and very comfortable, with subtle individual design touches that made it feel more than a neutral hotel room but not like a busy room in someone else’s house either. It was perfect. And the bed was large and sumptuous and a pleasure to climb into. She had a quiet confidence and knowledge of the area and was happy to help with tips for places to eat and visit when we asked. The ‘Anna Jam’ at breakfast was a special homemade treat. A wonderful host.

    Leah2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place could not have exceeded expectations more than it did… We were met at the door by the owner’s daughter who, despite it having been late, was very welcoming. She gave us a quick tour of the GORGEOUS house, let us know the kitchen was there for us to use, and took us upstairs to show us the room. The shared bathroom was large, heated nicely and clean. The room itself was wonderfully toasty on a very chilly wet night – large, and a lovely plate of fruit and biscuits was waiting for us on the desk. The bed is comfy and the décor lovely and inviting. The next day we were up and out, but came back for a nap before the race event. The owner of the home had since come home and was SO lovely! She offered tea or coffee and had made flapjacks to take with us for the race – how incredible is that??? We came back exhausted after 24 hours of long, arduous racing in very rough weather, and the house was the perfect one to come back to – comfortable, warm and she had left homemade soup and frittata there for us to partake in if wanted! All in all this was a perfect space to relax in – and difficult to leave!

  • We had a lovely stay in the apartment, it was spacious and had all the facilities we needed to stay in and cook one evening. The apartment is located a short walk from the town which was great. Unfortunately the weather was too bad for us to climb Snowdon as originally intended, but we still had a great stay.

  • We found Declan’s bungalow easy to find, thanks to good directions, and easy to access via key lock. He kept in regular contact with us and invited us to message if we had any questions/concerns, which we didn’t, as everything was easy to understand and follow. We were hugely impressed by the cleanliness, spaciousness and modern touches to the bungalow. There was a nautical theme, very well done. Great that there is a fridge and separate freezer, microwave, kettle and oven. There were jams, butter, bread, crisps and cereal left for us, which we used! My husband said thank you for the Welsh butter! There were also a number of towels left for our use and toiletries. The area was very quiet and convenient for towns such as Beaumaris, and local tourist attractions nearby. Our favourite place in Anglesey is Moelfre and it was only about 20 minutes by car. Good on road parking right outside the bungalow. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • We were visiting Anglesey to do some wedding planning and reminisce about our student days in Bangor and the hut was a perfect, cosy space to spend a night. Phil has done a great job creating the hut and outdoor bathroom shed and the space was warm and homely. On waking up, Phil's ducks were there to greet us and we enjoyed feeding the pet sheep. Phil was friendly and helpful and has plans to develop his already wonderful place further! Thanks so much for a great place to stay

  • This charming shepherds hut was perfect for our short stay in Anglesey. Ideally located close to beautiful beaches and only a half hour from Caernarfon, it ticked every box for us! Phil was an amazing host and offered us lots of great advice for local eating spots and the nearby beach. The hut was in immaculate condition and Phil showed us how to use all the amenities including the log fire, which was great for the cold evenings. We loved waking up in the mornings to the sheep and ducks just outside and were given the opportunity to feed the sheep Woolly and Curly! Thanks for a fantastic stay - we'll be coming back again!

In a secluded, rural setting, in the heart of the beautiful island of Anglesey, this charming, detached, traditional Welsh cottage boasts a large well-kept garden encompassing far-reaching views of the surrounding countryside. The garden is landscaped into the setting with different levels and steps taking you down to a pretty unfenced wildlife pond. Approached down a drive shared with only the owners, Hendre Wen provides a superb holiday base for exploring the surrounding area.

A traditional Welsh cottage in the heart of North Wales on the island of Anglesey. Situated on the road leading to Newborough Beach and Llanddwyn Island. This beautiful cottage is within a 2 minute drive to the beach. The cottage boasts window views of the Snowdonia mountain range and the Menai Straits.
Coleg Bach is a 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk to the entrance of one of the best rated beaches in the UK. There is a local cafe, pub, store and takeaway within a 1 minute walk. The cottage offers complimentary tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits. Newborough beach is roughly one mile from the cottage, you can get there by walking along the famous Anglesey coastal path through Newborough forest, or a short 1 minute drive to the car park. Guests can use the cottage beach pass for FREE which saves a £5 entry fee (ideal if your planning on visiting the beach more than once) and it also gives you access to a private car park on the beach itself. The cottage is ideal for couples or families looking for a few nights relaxing, sat infront of the cosy fire, or for the more adventurous type who love the outdoor scenery and coastal walks. A gas BBQ will be available to use from May. (Gas bottle and all utensils are on site)
The cottage is situated in a perfect location for exploring. I have left plenty of leaflets for guests to browse so they can pick which activities they would like to do on their stay. If you require any recommendations I'm more than happy to help.
  • Lovely, cute house, nicely done and thought put into it all, you even get the fire laid so all you have to do is light when you arrive, perfect! Host was also easy to contact and good.

  • This a cute little cottage spread over 3 floors and the warmest cottage we’ve ever stayed in! It’s in the heart of the village so friendly pub with pool table a few minutes walk away. Next to cafe, shop and chippy. It’s better to plan your meals and take shopping with you as the local shop is limited. There are amazing walks from the door to the Breathtaking Newborough beach through forest and sand dunes. The views across the Menai are absolutely stunning!

    Lisa2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous little cottage, spotlessly clean and close to a beautiful beach. We took our toddler who had a great time. The car park pass really came in handy and the log burner kept us toasty every evening. Also totally recommend the local chippy!

    Heather2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for New Year’s Eve with our 4 month old boy. The location is amazing! The cottage itself is beautiful and very cosy! Amazing little touches and Christmas decorations really made it feel like a home away from home!

    Dariane2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We have just enjoyed 3 days over Christmas in Tim's cottage which was beautifully decorated for us and was warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The cottage is equipped with everything needed for self catering and a lot of thought has been put into guests needs. It was too cold to use the garden but it would be great to sit out there in warmer weather. The neighbours were very friendly and welcoming and parking at the cottage was easy. The beach and dunes were brilliant for walking and we would love to return to do more walking in the area.

    Jennifer2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Tim’s home is very cozy and clean. There are nice are very nice hiking trails nearby. The location is quiet and has a spectacular view of Snowdonia from the second floor. The WiFi works well. The shower and kitchen are a little tight. However, the entire space was impeccably clean and there was a nice stock of fluffy towels and adequate supplies for cooking. The checkin process is simple and the area felt very safe. I would definitely stay there again.

Enjoy quite literally this little bit of paradise. Set in the stunning, unspoilt south west corner of Anglesey, overlooking the Snowdonia mountains and Llyn peninsula, our custom-made shepherd's hut offers you a genuine get- away from it all experience! It's a real shepherd's hut with our friendly sheep nearby, ducks, chickens and loads of open space to explore and relax in. This is a true 'off grid' stay, complete with eco- composting toilet, wood-burning stove, and working small-holding.
The view here is breathtaking and this with the sense of retreat is what we most want guests to experience. There's no wifi, so you can disconnect from the busyness for a while and reconnect with family and friends. This is glamping, built by us and our friends to make the most of the view, but without cutting corners on comfort and style. We have designed the space so that there's an option for up to four people to stay comfortably, with one double bedroom and the living area seating that can be made up into a second double bed. There's a barbeque and outdoor seating as well as a campfire circle you can toast marshmallows on! In addition, there's a small gas stove for you to boil the kettle inside on those wet days which occasionally occur! You will be able to park your car nearby on our land after you've unloaded your things but we do have children and animals so we want to keep cars off the field and away from the communal areas. You will have use of the bathroom, shower and washing up facilities down in the main house which is a couple of minutes walk away. There's also a fridge/freezer for your use in the utility room. The shepherd's hut is located in a field up quite a sloped track and about 150 metres from the house. The composting toilet which we've affectionately nick-named 'loo with a view' sits alongside the hut. In colder months we will provide the first basket of logs and thereafter, by negotiation. We could happily accommodate tents for additional friends/family at £10 a tent/per night on request.
Anglesey is a small island off the North Wales coast and close to the mountains and sea. We are located about 3 miles from the nearest beach and close to the vast Newborough forest where you can often spot red squirrels. Llanddwyn island is just on the doorstop as well which is a favourite for walkers, wind-surfers and photographers and has miles of safe, sandy beach. There are plenty of family attractions in the area including the sea zoo, Foel farm and the famous Halen Mon (Anglesey sea-salt ). Alternatively, if walking is your thing, the Anglesey coastal footpath offers a manageable challenge. If you want a lazy morning strolling around the little towns and villages, you can finish up in one of the many welcoming coffee shops where you can stop and watch the world go by. There are 3 supermarkets 12 minutes drive away and the A55 is very easily accessible.
  • My boyfriend and I had a fabulous time at Karen's Shepard's hut, the location is superb as the views are incredible! The hut has everything you need for a peaceful countryside getaway and we had a gorgeous evening roasting marshmallows over the firepit :) we would highly recommend this place. Karen's communication was great and the directions advised were very helpful.

  • What a wonderful place! What wonderful hosts. The Shepherds Hut is just fabulous! And that view; just stunning. It's a real little escape (but with good 4G 😉). Karen and Rachel have thought of everything ,all the little extra touches make it really luxurious! The bed was super comfy - we slept really well. The outside fire pit was great, we had a lovely evening sat by a roaring fire. The 'loo with a view' was brilliant. The bathroom at the main farmhouse was really good and impeccably clean. We will definitely be back! Thank you Rachel and Karen and family.

    Claire2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our family of 4 had a wonderful couple of nights. Highlights for us were the campfire sessions, star gazing, peace and quiet and wonderful views of Snowdonia. We had sun, rain & wind, but the accommodation was so comfortable that we enjoyed every minute!

  • This place was just perfect, definitely recommend. Such a comfortable and great use of space, my little little girl loved it

    Matt2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful AirBnB experience. The Shepherd’s Hut is just amazing. Such a clever use of space with a great living/bedroom area along with a cozy, and very comfortable, separate bedroom. The hut has everything you need and more during your stay. Outside is a BBQ along with the Eco “Loo with a View”!!! Down the hill, at the main house, there was a fridge/freezer, sink and our own separate shower/toilet facilities which were of a very high standard (and most welcome after a day at the beach!!!). Karen, Rachel and the whole family were lovely hosts. Great communication and very welcoming/friendly. Location is perfect.Easy to find a great base for all that Anglesey and North Wales has to offer. Finally for those who can’t live without Tech (like me!!!), there may not be WIFI but there is a very strong 4G signal!! Do not hesitate and make sure you book this.

  • A well appointed, cosy and extremely clean and comfortable cottage. John, the host, was helpful and easy to contact. The cottage is well placed for both Anglesey and Snowdonia.

    John2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at John's place! He was able to accept our booking request on short notice making for a great weekend away. Communication was quick and helpful, check in a breeze. Since we arrived at short notice, John stopped by to make sure everything was ok and dropped off some extra fire wood to get us through the stormy weather. The house itself is wonderfully decorated. It was very clean, the bed comfortable, and everything is well thought out. The location is also good for exploring the island. I can definitely recommend John's house!

  • Peaceful, quaint, fully equipped, lovely touches throughout. Perfect for walkers .. hardly used the car. Newborough Beach and Lladdwyn Island a must. Saw red squirrels and so many birds .. including a short eared owl in flight! Love Anglesey and this area is wonderful :-)

  • If you are looking for a nice weekend away in the Anglesey countryside, then this is the place. It has all the amenities for a relaxing getaway, such as a nice shower and soft bed, combined with the cosiness of a cottage. The space is absolutely lovely, very homely, and provides everything you need. We had a great time here. We really enjoyed the board games and fire place as well. Geographically, Menai Bridge was in easy reach. It was a wonderful visit, and we really enjoyed it. We will definitely keep it in mind for a next time we are in North Wales.

  • Excellent hosts, upto you how much interaction you have with Kate and her family. They are happy to chat and accommodate you were needs be but will also leave you to own device if that's what you want. Great little place for a family with pets. When the weather gods were being good, you can't beat sitting on the decking with a cold beer taking in the views of Snowdonia. For me the amenities are just right, there's no WiFi or lots of TV channels but for me you shouldn't need that. Its all about enjoying the outdoors and family time. Located about a mile from Newborough village and 15 mins drive to the A55. Its great value for money and I would highly recommend Kate as a host and her accommodation.

    Jonathan2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Kate and her family are very welcoming and friendly. They are so approachable and are always available to assist if you have any queries. This made our holiday as we knew we were in great hands! What's not to like about being at this caravan ... You have your own privacy and 14 acres all to yourself to explore. We loved every minute. Our son did not want to leave and we were also sad to go home. The dogs and cats are fabulous company and are always happy to see you when your return from a day out. There is an excellent chip shop in Newborough called The Codmother, a lovely cafe at the motor museum close by and a very tasty Indian called Sopna in Menai Bridge. Supermarkets are not far away either so you can always shop for extras while you are here. The caravan is the perfect base to explore Anglesey. We cannot wait to go back!! Thanks Kate and family for a great week away.

    Helen2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Kate’s caravan was an ideal base for our family to explore Anglesey and we shall definitely come back. The hospitality can not be faulted from Kate and family. The location was idealistic, lots of space for the dogs and we were able to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and the views. Great places to visit nearby and Kate even managed to order us the weather! Very comfortable stay with a great shower. Highly recommend this as a location and a comfortable base for a holiday stay.

  • Kate and her family are lovely hosts, very friendly and gave us a warm welcome upon check in. The location is quite and peaceful as it’s away from the main road and it’s convenient for us to go anywhere. We went for hiking in the Snowdonia and it’s about 30-40 mins drive from Kate’s place. Oh, there is a lovely beach and forest called Newborough Beach which is less than 10mins drive and was recommended by Kate. Overall had a really nice time with family at Kate’s place, clean homely place and has everything we needed, very good value for money.

    Iris2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place to stay. Lovely views of Snowdonia mountains as soon as you step out of the door. Loads of safe space for children. Great location to go and see the top 10 attractions in Anglesey are all close by. Caravan is spacious and has everything you need. Kate & family are really friendly and nothing is to much trouble but leave you alone to enjoy holiday. Had great ideas for places to go and visit and also places to go eat.

  • Amazing, tranquil place to stay. Great location and the caravan is spacious, cosy and welcoming. Kate and her family were such lovely hosts and made us very welcome. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and Newborough beach is close by too!

  • Kate and her families are sooooo friendly! They are super considerate and even provide us some barbecue equipments :) They have two dogs, both of which are super cute! Every morning we wake up, one of them are waiting outside the caravan 😆 The room has two toilets. The oven doesn’t work very well but Kate suggest we can use hers. The room is quite hot in the day while cool down in the night. It has been a great time for both me and my friends! Definitely worth staying.

  • A very clean and comfortable place to stay, with friendly and relaxed hosts. Extremely convenient location for accessing many of Anglesey's attractions and close to the Menai Bridge, making arriving and leaving easy. The many animals (horses, chickens and dogs) add an extra dimension to the stay, that was most welcome.

  • Mike was able to accommodate us for a last minute stay and responded quickly to my booking request. On arrival at the cottage the log burner was already heating up the cottage which was thoughtful. If you are looking for a cosy place in a tranquil setting this is perfect. If you enjoy running I can recommend the nearby "Newborough Forest Parkrun" a nice 5 km trail run held every Saturday morning at 9.00am.

  • We went in November and the weather was horrendous so the caravan got cold without the heating on, but Sue had provided plenty of blankets so all was well just worth noting if you go off season! The cooking facilities are great, plenty of crockery and utensils and the gas oven and electric fridge work well and are a good size. Great value property in a great location, especially for the race circuit where we attended the annual Race of Remembrance.

  • We enjoy everything about Caths place very clean and had everything you could need for stay It’s a lovely quiet peace of Paradise in Wales so so peaceful and Cath & Frieda where the perfect hosts we will be back many thanks again Cath hugs.

    Craig2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Cath's directions were easy to follow and upon arrival our hosts were there with a most friendly greeting. They explained all that we needed to know concerning equipment etc within the caravan which was totally clean, everything was in good order and fully operational. Every possible facility had been considered: a bbq, sitting area with table outside the caravan to the front and a safe lawned area again to sit in whilst children can happily play. If you come from a busy area, it really is Paradise with views of the mountains in the distance. We have no problem in recommending this for a relaxing holiday venue.

    Jean2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely caravan in a beautiful, peaceful setting and in an excellent location for exploring Anglesey. Cath is a lovely host and very helpful. The bed in the main bedroom is comfortable but firm so if you like it a bit softer take a mattress topper with you - I did this and it was fine for me. We slept well every night after all the walking we did!

    Rosemary2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect accommodation for a short stay in Anglesey.

Windy Sands is a cosy nineteenth century cottage that sits in the southern end of the small, pleasant village of Malltraeth. From the front there are uninterrupted views of the mountains of Snowdonia, whilst at the back of the cottage there are spectacular views across the estuary to the woodlands of Newborough and the mountain ranges of the Llyn Peninsula. At high tide the sea is just a stones throw away and easily accessible through the back garden.
With homely accommodation for up to four guests, this is an ideal base for couples or families wishing to discover all that Anglesey has to offer. We welcome dog owners as this is a beautiful place to explore with plenty for the doggos to enjoy too. This is a walkers paradise with walks in every direction, most of which are off road. The Anglesey coastal walk passes the front door, the closest coastal path highlight is the beautiful Llanddwyn Island, voted one of the best beaches in Britain, which makes for a lovely walk through Newborough forest to the coastline. This tranquil forest abounds with wildlife, including red squirrels, ravens and rooks - the view of the Llyn Peninsula from the coast here is spectacular. Malltraeth estuary is famous for its bird life, immortalised in the drawings of renowned wildlife artist, Charles Tunnicliffe who made Malltraeth his home. Malltraeth's RSPB reserve is home to a range of breeding wetland birds and is a vital feeding area for migrating and wintering waders and wildfowl. Snipe, lapwings, bitterns, redshank, curlews, tufted ducks and many more can be spotted here.

In central Anglesey, the quiet village of Llangristiolus is ideally located for visiting the beautiful island as well as being close to Snowdonia and other North Wales areas. Rhos y Ffordd is a 200 year old cottage extended over the years, and the space is a large ensuite bedroom with attached sitting room accessed through a shared front door. The bedroom overlooks the garden which guests are welcome to use for relaxing and barbeque in fine weather.
You will have a private bedroom and separate sitting area; the sitting room is equipped with kettle, toaster and fridge. We provide some food items (bread, cereal, milk etc) as well as crockery and cutlery, tea and coffee, so you can prepare a breakfast, but there are no facilities for cooking in the space.
Llangristiolus is a quiet rural area , there is a pub serving food within 10 minutes walk, and plenty of other resturants and bars a short drive away in many of the nearby villages and towns.
  • My girlfriend and I needed a place to stay for the Race of Remembrance at Trac Môn, and stumbled across this place after a bit of searching. It was 15 minutes away from the track along some twisty Welsh B-roads, and not too far from the main road, perfect for us. However, when we got there we almost didn't want to leave. The two cosy rooms were so homely and welcoming, decorated with little touches to make the area seem like a little slice of home. Everything was spotless and well kept, well lit and comfortable, with a mattress so soft and warm it was hard to leave. The bathroom was immaculate, sparkling and gleaming, with little craft soaps and well thought-out storage areas, it was obvious a lot of thought was put into everything and even more pride was taken to make sure everything was just so. The amenities were excellent with a well-stocked mini fridge and continental breakfast, perfect to get up and out into the cold, and a TV with Sky gave us something to relax after a day of hard graft. Nothing was too much trouble for Sioned and Gareth: All we had to do was ask. They were always interested and keen to hear about the goings-on of our day, even offering painkillers after a particularly strenuous night at the circuit. All in all, we had a wonderful time and wanted for nothing, we are even discussing going back during the summer for a long weekend away, just to explore more of Anglesey, see the hosts again, and stay in that sumptuous bed of course.

    Doug2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • We have been very pleased with the comfort and cleanliness of the room. The bed is just incredible, it was even hard to wake up :) They also offer free breakfast in a small private living room that was very much appreciated. There is everything we needed to spend a great weekend. Thanks again

    Quentin2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay and excellent value. Well stocked fridge, Sky TV in your own private sitting room - great hosts, ideal central location for touring Anglesey.

    Ian2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely new bedroom and shower room(high quality towels and toiletries provided) with nice little TV sitting/eating area with the added bonus of having the full Sky package. Plenty of food and drink provided for breakfast, only downside was the fridge being a bit on the small side making it difficult to chill the wine and beers without taking other stuff out. Kettle and toaster provided and tray left to leave the dirty plates and cutlery which was taken away each day and washed ready for next day - nice touch.Plenty of room for off road parking and nice patio/barbecue area outside to enjoy if the weather is nice. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great during our stay but they put the central heating on as soon as it was requested, they also provided us with an additional fan heater in case they were out making us self sufficient. They gave us good advice on eating out and were always ready to chat and have a bit of a laugh with us. Won't hesitate to stay there again if we have another Anglesey short break.

    Raymond2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • If you want a home from home this ticks the boxes. I was comfortable and able to relax in this lovely air bnb. Nothing is too much trouble for Sioned and it was great to be able to make breakfast and snacks each day. I hope to be back some day.

    Deborah2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little apartment with everything I needed for a couple of nights stay

    Julia2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely small apartment within easy reach of Llangefni with places to eat out. Also short drive to the SW Anglesey coast for the beaches and Coast Footpath. Sioned and Gareth have been very thoughtful with all the bits and pieces they leave for your stay, breakfast things as well as toiletries in the bathroom. I will definitely be staying again, Julia

    Julia2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Amazingly warm welcome from our hosts. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and fully equipped for a long stay. Very comfortable bedroom, slept like a top.
