Paddleboard is a cosy little cottage with loads of character. This is a perfect, peaceful location right on the Menai Strait. Whether you want watersports, a spot of fishing, a stroll with the dog along the shore or just to kick back with a book, Paddleboard Cottage is an ideal spot. Located just 5 minutes away from the A55, Paddleboard is a perfect hub from which to explore the delights of Anglesey and Snowdonia. Moel y Don Cottage is also available here: https://airbnb.com/h/moelydon
Living Room is open plan upstairs with a simple well stocked kitchen: fridge with icebox, electric oven with gas hob, microwave, toaster, kettle. Bedrooms are located downstairs and comprise of: 1 bedroom has a kingsize bed. 1 bedroom has two single beds. Bathroom is compact but has everything you need - shower over bath, sink, toilet, mirror and heated towel rail. The hot tub is available to rent at an extra cost of £35 for single use or £50 for the duration of your stay. We try our very best to be kind to our planet and have started by doing the following simple things: We were involved with the creation of the Plastic Free Anglesey campaign. We provide shampoo/conditioner/handsoap stored in refillable bottles and produced by a responsible local firm. The coffee/tea/sugar/treats are all fairtrade. Our laundry is all done by a local company, again using responsible methods. Power supplied to the house is sourced from renewables. We encourage all our guests to use our recycling facilities.
You can enjoy this tranquil haven and yet have buzz of Menai Bridge (renowned for great pubs and restaurants) Snowdonia National park and lots of golden sandy beaches within easy reach. Enjoy a sundowner on the decked terrace, or stroll down to the water's edge, enjoy the varied bird life, watch the tide ebb and flow or simply watch the fabulous sunsets bounce off the water. If you have a thirst for adventure then this area is an absolute must. Rib rides on the Straits (one of the best ways to see Anglesey by boat), surf in the mountains (really!), learn to kite board, go for a zip wire experience, do the tree top adventures, or visit the many National Trust houses - take your pick, it is all here and we can point you in the right direction. Hot tub rental available at £35/night or £50 for your stay.
  • We loved our stay at paddleboard. The perfect cosy place for a getaway. This is our third trip to paddleboard and I'm sure we will be back again! Nicki is an excellent host. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay x

  • We loved Paddleboard Cottage. The perfect location to explore beautiful Anglesey. Despite a wild and wet weekend, we were cosy and warm in the cute and beautifully styled cottage and even a managed some time in the hot tub looking at the gorgeous view over the Menai Straight. Nicki was indeed a super host. Thanks very much.

  • We loved our stay at Nicki's place. The little house was very clean and well furnished. The beds in particular were very comfortable. Nicki was extremely helpful and welcoming, without being intrusive. The property is in a lovely location with easy access to most places on the island.

  • Lovely place and ideal for a family holiday with a dog. Very welcoming hosts :)

    Andrew2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Paddleboard Cottage. The cottage itself is great: well-equipped, comfortable and clean, and in a great location for exploring the area. Nicki was really welcoming, friendly and helpful. We were staying there during Storm Ciara and Nicki very kindly braved the elements to come and check we were ok and to see if we needed any supplies to see us through the weather! We would definitely recommend Nicki and Paddleboard Cottage to anyone looking to stay in the area, and are hoping to return ourselves very soon!

  • Paddleboard Cottage is the ideal retreat if you love the natural world. It has the perfect location, off the beaten track but close to amenities. The clean interior is well laid out, not over fussy and has everything one could need. We enjoyed our trips out then returning to the comfort of Paddleboard Cottage. Nikki was an excellent hosts responding to emails and keeping us informed/updated. She let us know that we could arrive earlier than the stated time, this was handy in January. The Cottage was toastie warm and there was a lovely vase of tulips on the table. We will return to Paddleboard, we love Anglesey it has much to offer nature lovers.

  • We loved the comfort and the beauty of this perfect refuge. The view of the mountains and the grounds were amazing. Kathy provided wonderful goodies and both she and Bill were warm and welcoming. We very much hope to return.

    Christine2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Can't recommend highly enough. The term superhost doesn't even cover how amazing Kathy and Bill are. A home from home, gorgeous place, everything you possibly need. Just devine. Nothing more to say apart from book it! You won't be dissapointed.

    Samantha2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful hideaway in the heart of Anglesey. Warm, cosy and very clean. Kathy is a great host with lots of local recommendations to help make the most of your trip. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a special place to stay in Anglesey.

  • This place is must! My husband, 10 month old son and I had the best two nights away! Stunning views and the cottage is spotless and beautifully done. Gorgeous beaches a short drive away! Kathy and Bill are fabulous! The nicest hosts! We will definitely be back!

    Kate2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to escape. Thoroughly enjoyed the secluded location, although it’s close enough to a great fish and chip shop! The hosts were excellent with little touches such as cakes, milk etc. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a weekend to relax and unwind.

    Jonathan2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was perfect. We felt at home as soon as we arrived to Kathy's warm welcome. Kathy had made us some home made bread and provided fresh eggs and some Welsh and Scottish sweet treats too. The cottage itself had absolutely everything we needed, it was cosy and warm and we really enjoyed making use of the log burner in the evening. Kathy gave us loads of really helpful tips on where we should visit on Anglesey. We visited Newbrough beach which was stunning and we ate at Dylan's on the Menai Strait - the food was delightful. My favourite part was waking up in the morning to the stunning view of Snowdonia and listening to the birdsong :) We have already recommended Kathy's place to our family and friends and we hope to visit again in the near future.

  • We visited for a Birthday retreat for my partner and we had an amazing time. We were greeted by a fire lit on the wood burner by Phil to welcome us away from Storm Jorge. This is a real find, we didn’t want to leave.

    Jack2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Just book it now. You’ll thank me later. Absolutely perfect!

    Tomas2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a nice weekend stay, the cottage was lovely and in a good location. Rosie & Phil were very accommodating and helpful to any questions we had and Phil even gave us a lift into town to save taxi fares. Only downside was the weather but there’s nothing you can do about that but the cottage was a lovely place to relax on a rainy day. Would definitely recommend.

    Dave2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing two nights and could have stayed forever, it was really cosey inside and I was obsessed with the wood burner (sorry Rosie if I used loads of wood & coal). The area is super peaceful and quiet so we slept amazing. On the 2nd day we drove to newborough where I’d fully recommend the walk over to the island when the tide is low we had a great day out at the beach. We would definitely recommend the sandy mount house in Rhosniger which was lovely and quite new? Lovely stay and we will be back soon!

    Daniel2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely cottage. Sparkling clean, cosy and homely! My boyfriend and I had a fantastic stay. Great hosts, so helpful and friendly! Couldn’t have asked for any more. Thanks again!

    Hannah2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a fantastic 3 night break at Rosies cottage and loved every minute. The cottage is so cosy and comfortable we didn’t want to leave! In fact we cancelled dinner reservations on both Friday and Saturday night so we could just stay in and make the most of it! Rosie and Phil are perfect hosts (helped by Bruce and Nipper of course!) and were always there when needed. Perfect location for long walks and simply relaxing. Lovely little pub 15 minute walk away as well. Amazing stay thank you again!

    Kieran2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is lovely place to stay in a beautiful location. It is cosy and peaceful. Phil and Rosie are great hosts and gave us lots of great advice about places to walk. They had lit a fire prior to us arriving so all we had to do was open the wine and relax!

    Caroline2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation is everything that the blurb says it is and more. Romantic and quirky, and so cosy in the evening with the log burner and ambient lighting providing a warm glow. Rosie and Phil are kind, hospitable hosts and on hand to share their extensive knowledge of the local area. Lots to do on the doorstep and we hope to return to explore further. Thank you both x

  • This is a lovely retreat. The roof windows let in extra light and you can hear the trees rustling. Everything was spotless. Very handy location for Bangor and Caernarfon as well as Anglesey. I would definitely stay again.

    Jean2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect! It is a 5 star airbnb for sure. Clean, modern, comfortable. The bed linens and towels are super high quality. The garden is really beautiful, and you can watch the moon from your bed. Highly recommended!

  • We had a lovely stay in a great property. Good communication with the host and plenty of thoughtful touches made it even better than we expected.

  • Beautiful, bright and clean apartment surrounded by greenery. Weather permitting, there would also be a private place for barbecues and for eating out. The nearby town has a wide selection of places. Attention for those with walking problems, the bedroom is on a mezzanine. Everything else is perfect.

  • A lovely room in a lovely bungalow, if you don’t mind dogs this is the place for you, I’m not sure if you will get the hospitality we got as we had free range of the house, as the owner was not there but her lovely Twin Brother was and made us feel completely at home

  • Sparkling clean and stylish place in great location. We had nice and very comfortable stay there. Thank you.

    Slawomir2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The welcome is friendly, the room is made up nicely and the bathroom is clean. The host has good local knowledge for recommendations for places to eat. The dog is clean, as described.

  • Heather (Jason’s mum) is a friendly lady and nice host. She gave us the other room and shower as well for free. We had a lovely time there. Theo (the dog) is a good dog and well behaved. He wanted to play with my daughter all day. He loves children. All in all nice and comfortable stay. They are a sweet family and we missed them after leaving.

  • a warm welcome, a friendly, helpful host, clean, comfortable room and ample kitchen amenities.

    Darren2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • My room at the house was lovely, clean and comfortable. I had an en-suite shower and wash basin which was really convenient. Only the bathroom was shared. The bed was really comfy and I slept like a log both nights. You have use of the kitchen for making drinks or storing your bottle of wine in the fridge. There is a lounge you can use as well as nice outside space. Heather (Jason’s mum) is really friendly and helpful and kindly gave me a lift to the train station for my return home. Theo the dog is a lovely dog. He’s quiet and extremely well behaved. I would really recommend this place for an Anglesey stay but please remember you are staying and welcomed into a family home. It is not a faceless, corporate hotel.

    Melanie2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jason’s Mother, Heather, was an absolutely fabulous host and I could not recommend this place enough. All of the amenities are quite top notch...the kitchen and the shower especially are a dream. Her dog Theo is a delight and I will certainly stay here again given the opportunity...what you get for the price is outstanding. Thanks Heather & Jason!

Our home is located in the famous village of Llanfairpwll. The House is located in the top of the village where it is perfectly situated for views of Snowdonia. Perfect location for families or individuals looking to explore the area, with very good transport links to and from the island, with good access to the A55 and the Britannia Bridge.
The Neighbourhood is a very quiet and peaceful area that is very welcoming to guests in our community.
  • Anne's home was lovely and spacious. She always communicated promptly and gave us some great local tips. She was extremely welcoming and put on an enjoyable breakfast.

    Rick2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • If we could give Anne’s home more than 5 stars, we would! Anne was an amazingly kind and thoughtful host, the beds were cozy and comfortable, the bathroom large and clean, and every morning she had out a big spread for breakfast for us! She even stayed up past normal check-in time because our train was delayed, and drove us to the train station after we checked out so we wouldn’t have to walk in the rain! If I am ever in town again, I will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend it!!!!

  • This was my first AirBNB booking and if they are all like this then its the only way forward for me. Anne was very easy to communicate with in the lead up to our stay. The rooms and bathroom was almost too spotless, that we daren't make a mess.... very homely and comfortable. We were lucky to have the weather so the views were as described, gorgeous views across the mountains. Highly recommended!

    Chris2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful and spotless home paired with great warmth. The bath resembles a spa complete with foot scrub and indulgent lotions. The bedrooms are beautiful appointed and fantastically comfortable. The views of Snowdonia are spectacular and the train is a quick and safe walk of less than a mile. Anne made me feel so welcome! Highly recommend and hope to return!

  • Had a fantastic stay for 4 nights in Bangor. Ideally situated between locations with lots to see and do locally. The apartment was modern, clean and had thoughtful touches throughout, with a great view of Snowdon, me and my partner couldn’t be happier. Clare was responsive in her communication and provided a lovely stay for us. We have never visited Bangor before and wasn’t sure what to expect, however we had a fantastic trip and It was Improved massively by the lovely cozy apartment. 10/10 from us.... Thank you Clare!

  • Clare’s place is brilliantly appointed, with some particularly handsome artwork. Super clean and with easy parking away from the street. Her communication was excellent and speedy. Highly recommended.

  • Clare’s place was perfect for a single occupancy. She was easy and quick to communicate with, especially when I had trouble turning on the washing machine or shower, amongst other small things. She also made sure the heating and some lights were on upon my late arrival and left me extra towels and bed linen as I stayed there for 10 nights. Will definitely recommend it for someone looking for a welcoming place to stay near Bangor city centre.

My home was built on the 1880’s and has recently undergone extensive restoration and modernising! We usually live in the house but are happy to share with guests who want to explore Anglesey and Snowdonia and therefore stay elsewhere during your stay. Our belongings will be staying at the property but you don't need to worry about this, make yourselves at home! Guests have access to WiFi and a full Sky Q package, including movies and all sport channels.
The house is located in the popular village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch!!! I can teach you how to pronounce it! It’s very central, perfect public transport links for the isle of Anglesey and also to Snowdonia and the City of Bangor. The train station is a couple of minutes walk away. We are also within walking distance to a small supermarket and huge gift/home/cafe - they have a great selection of pick n mix!!
My village has the second longest place name in the world, I can teach you how to say it and you can visit the train to station to take a picture with the name. Anglesey is known to be one of the most beautiful places to visit in Britain, it’s boasts some stunning beaches and of course we are a stones throw from Snowdonia, s it’s the best of both worlds - Beach & Mountains!!
  • A beautiful well equipped decorated contemporary home ideally located to explore Anglesey & North Wales.

    Tanya2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The house is amazing, from the outside it looks like a normal house but inside it’s amazing. A lot of downstairs space to relax in front of the log burner, a great sized kitchen and dinning area. Upstairs the two bedrooms are of a good size with comfy beds. The bathroom has a delightful bath and handy walk in shower. A great place to use and to explore the rest of Anglesey. And if you arrive by train it’s a two minute walk to the house.

  • What a wonderful way to welcome 2020! Gwenno was an excellent host, on hand with great tips when we needed them. We rented Gwenno’s entire house, and what a gorgeously renovated home it is too! It certainly felt like home to us while we were there. Everything you might need is on hand and there are lots of places to visit nearby. Thank you!

    Charlotte2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Gwenno's house was perfect for our few days visiting family over Christmas. Everything is of a very high standard and Gwenno was very helpful, providing us with essentials to get us started and showing us how to make a cosy fire in the log burner. We'll be back, I'm sure!

    Rhiannon2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay, it was a home from home and the perfect location for exploring lovely Anglesey and North Wales, the only downside was we only had two nights! The house is very clean, comfortable and has all amenities you could ask for. Our lovely weekend included a trip to Portmeirion, plus nearby Dylan's for food on Saturday, then Newborough Beach and Penrthyn Castle on Sunday. We will be back and it was good to see the restoration of the house on Instagram too, Gwenno is a great host who gives you a very welcome feeling.

    Samantha2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was really lovely and the surrounding areas are stunning. It was really nice to have such a private, sunny garden and outside seating area - great for young children. Thank you for a lovely stay!

    Nicola2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful cottage! It was lovely to arrive to a very warm welcome, especially after a 6 hour drive, of a delightful cake and tea/coffee/ milk. The cottage is well equipped for a two week stay. The kitchen has everything you could wish for and more. The beds were extremely comfy and the bedding very cosy. There is a lovely log burner which is fab when you’ve had a day walking and got a bit damp. The outside area is great for when the sun is shining. We had lots of adventures walking the local area and within Snowdonia National Park. Would recommend walking through the forest opposite the house to the beach (1 1/2 hour to the beach) where we had a lovely meal at The Boathouse and The Ship Inn. Also would recommend; Dylan’s in Menai Bridge, the ice cream parlour at Beaumaris, trip on the Puffin Island Cruise, Aber Falls and Conwy.

  • We found Declan’s bungalow easy to find, thanks to good directions, and easy to access via key lock. He kept in regular contact with us and invited us to message if we had any questions/concerns, which we didn’t, as everything was easy to understand and follow. We were hugely impressed by the cleanliness, spaciousness and modern touches to the bungalow. There was a nautical theme, very well done. Great that there is a fridge and separate freezer, microwave, kettle and oven. There were jams, butter, bread, crisps and cereal left for us, which we used! My husband said thank you for the Welsh butter! There were also a number of towels left for our use and toiletries. The area was very quiet and convenient for towns such as Beaumaris, and local tourist attractions nearby. Our favourite place in Anglesey is Moelfre and it was only about 20 minutes by car. Good on road parking right outside the bungalow. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • The accommodation was great for a family of 3 people. A 4th person would have had a good seat. Check in and communication were great, a small problem was solved within 15 minutes. The place itself is a good starting point for trips to Anglesey, Llandudno and Conwy. Parking in the opposite parking lot was very comfortable. We highly recommend Haydn's accommodation and regret not having stayed another 2 nights!

Only a 4 minute walk to the Menai Strait water front, our scandi-nautical studio is the ideal spot from which to discover Anglesey and Snowdonia. Only 2 miles from the popular village of Menai Bridge offering a range of bars and eateries, and 3.8 miles from the historic town of Beaumaris, with plentiful pastimes such as the castle, Janet Bell Gallery, cafes and shops a plenty. If attending an event at Chateux Rhianfa, we are just a short 4min walk away. So no need for taxis.
The studio sleeps 2 comfortably, a cot or Moses basket can be offered, but wouldn’t leave much room for manoeuvre. And for a less comfortable stay, the sofa is large enough to sleep on and extra bedding available at an extra fee. An information book is left for you to muse, which will give you a small idea of what the area has to offer. Dogs are very welcome, but because of the size of the apartment have a policy of 1 large dog or up to 2 small dogs. The back yard is enclosed and 100% safe so you could leave the back door open without worrying about your fur baby.
We are situated across the road from the Menai Strait and a short 4 min walk will get you to the water front with magnificent views of Bangor university and the Menai Suspension Bridge.
  • Brilliant little find. Perfect for myself my partner and our dog. We stayed for 2 nights, whilst catching up with old friends. The apartment had all we could need. It was warm and cosy, treats for us and the dog including breakfast for next day. The apartment was lovely and clean, towels provided as well as miniature shower/bathroom bits. Will hopefully be back soon.

  • Fflat y Menai is in a great location, only a 20 minute walk on the pavement, or short drive, to Menai Bridge. The space is stylish, a lovely size and really nicely decorated. There were vegan sausages and bacon for us in the fridge, as well as almond milk, orange juice, eggs, break and vegan cake - things like this were so beyond our expectations and so lovely. There were dog biscuits in the kitchen. We would definitely recommend it, and will stay again next time we are visiting Anglesey - if there's room for us!

  • Thanks Gwenllian for a lovely stay - we arrived on a cold, blustery night, later than hoped and needing a hot drink. We walked in to a warm, very welcoming property, it immediately felt cosy and comfortable and the dog was fast asleep in two minutes! (after having one of the biscuits from the special doggy treat tin) . The studio has everything you need and Gwenllian left a very generous breakfast spread for us to have the next morning.......we would love to come back soon xx

  • I really enjoyed my stay here. It's a very comfortable and nice studio which is a great base to explore Anglesey.

  • We had a lovely stay at Gwenllian's home. The studio was outstandingly clean and stylish and the hospitality (such as the amazing breakfast spread and dog biscuits) really made it a trip to remember. Would definitely recommend as a lovely place to stay and will be booking to stay here again for sure! :)

You’ll love my place because of the location, the ambiance. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets).
  • Expect to be amazed by the peace, the beauty and overall friendly people

  • The cottage was beautiful and perfectly located with everything we needed inside....very comfy bed :) The log burner is fabulous; just what we needed after a long day walking, our dog Dexter loved it too. The cottage is in a great location for pubs, cafes and walks! Thanks we loved every minute and will definitely return!

    Mark2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cottage for a weekend getaway. We walked to the Ship Inn for a nice meal-- highly recommend the seafood chowder!! It was cosy and tidy and had everything we needed for a couple nights including all that was needed to make a few meals. Lovely place, would definitely return. Cant beat the views!

    Lindsay2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Can only repeat what others have said and all the fantastic reviews. You’ll not be disappointed! Location was fantastic for some lovely long walks with the dog. Got to put my new wellies from Christmas to use. Despite the weather we really didn’t find it bothered us much as we managed to get out and about and because the location was so good when it rained/hailed (a bit :)) we just headed back and got the log burner going which the dog definitely enjoyed more than us! Maggs was there if you needed her but didn’t intrude. Must say all the little touches are lovely and added to the trip. On the way over I’d wished I’d brought binoculars and low and behold. The postcards of pobty is such a special idea! Couldn’t recommend enough!

    Becky2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived the same day as storm Dennis and i was worried id be cold but with under floor heating and the log burner we were toastie warm, location is amazing, we spent most evenings just watching the tide and then there is a lovley stretch of beach 2 min walk away for the dog to have a run. Cottage was immaculately clean and kitchen well stocked. Lovley place to switch off, were already planning on going back in the summer.

    Joanne2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My third visit to Pobty cottage, with my dog, Hettie. This time for rest, relaxation and some sea therapy. Red Wharf Bay (Traeth Coch) is a magical place and Pobty cottage is very special and stylish!. It was bliss sitting by the woodburning stove, watching the sea rolling right in and out again and skipe, egrets, redshanks and a long-billed curlew wading for worms in the shallows. Great walking round on the coastal path. Thanks again,Maggs, for a lovely warm welcome xx

My home was built in the 1880’s and has recently undergone extensive restoration and modernising! I have decided to rent out the spare room on Airbnb as I enjoy meeting new people and share some knowledge about are in which i grew up. The bedroom has a double bed, clothes rail, with towels and bed linen provided. The bathroom has a bath and shower and is shared with myself. I have stayed at several Airbnb properties myself and value those small touches to make your stay comfortable.
We are also within walking distance to a small supermarket and huge gift/home/cafe store - they have a great selection of pick n mix!! Although I work during the day I’m more than happy to sit over a coffee of an evening and give you some tips or share some knowledge and teach you some Welsh!! Equally I like my privacy and a chilled night in so respect your wishes to enjoy your own company.
We live in a quiet village, where lots of young families live but tourists also enjoy visiting. Isle of Anglesey is a beautiful part of North Wales, we have lots of lovely beaches and Snowdonia National Park is a stunning area of natural beauty where you can enjoy a load of great walks. There is a park opposite the house, great for young children.
  • I had a good night's sleep at Gwenno's house, I strongly recommend it.

  • Gwenno’s has a lovely, modern, stylish, welcoming home, perfect for a break in Anglesey or North Wales. She was very friendly and helpful with local knowledge of the area. Will 100% stay again when we visit North Wales!

With a panoramic view of the Menai Straights looking towards the Isle of Anglesey, a stones throw away from the centre of historic town of Caernarfon, and a short drive away from the heart of the Snowdonia mountain range. Here we have a spacious 2 bed apartment, a modern and fresh place to be. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and the option of a fold away single, whilst the kitchen and living room are shared and the sunsets from the balcony are spectacular.
The flat comes with a balcony overlooking the straights, which has outdoor seating and a BBQ so you can enjoy your evenings socialising, eating and having fun. The open plan kitchen & diner comes equipped with a convection/grill microwave, a dishwasher and tea and coffee, there is also a comfortable sofa with a coffee table and a large TV. There is ample parking available at the property. Unfortunately, there is no wheelchair access to the property.
There is a lovely neighbourhood café and a wonderful Tapas located in the marina. If you prefer your traditional pub grub or bistro, the Garddfon is our recommendation.

  • This is a quirky and interesting space in an excellent location. Good value and having log fire made it a cosy space.

  • Absolutely incredible! We never met Ben, but we did meet his mum who gave us detailed tips and tricks and things to do whilst on Anglesey. Couldn't have felt more welcomed onto their beautiful land. The container itself was spotless and decorated perfectly. There were more than just the basics provided, which you often don't get in AirBnBs! We loved tending to the fire each night and having a wonderfully wholesome time. We will definitely be back!

    Shelby2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay. Quirky and quiet which is just what we like best. Comfortable bed, and a decent shower. Loved hearing the tawny owls, and we’re already planning another visit.

A pretty little cottage in the heart of Menai Bridge. A stone’s throw away from the many shops, restaurants and pubs - and everything else the town has to offer, yet in a quiet location. Recently renovated and equipped to a high standard. The Menai Strait is a short walk away.
Comprising a large living/dining area with beams and a log burner, there is ample room for guests to enjoy the comfortable surroundings. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom, with underfloor heating, provides a choice of shower or bath. There are two good sized bedrooms, one with a super-king and the other with a king sized bed...and extra space can be found in our ‘Cwtch’ which features a sofa-bed, an array of books, a CD player and TV. There is a small lawn to the right of the cottage (as you look at it) which, whilst not enclosed, is for the exclusive use of guests. There is wi-fi throughout. Parking is in the public car park right next to the garden entrance to the cottage. £3 payable per day.
Menai Bridge is fast becoming known as the foodie capital of Anglesey. With superb beaches at every turn and several places of interest and activities all within easy reach, Menai Bridge is the perfect base to explore the island.
  • There's not much to say about the beautiful Hawthorn Cottage other than it's simply 'perfect'! I'd like to keep it a secret so I can have it all to myself, lol. But seriously, guests will want to come back time after time, like I do, there's nothing to fault! Thank you Caryl & Steve, wonderful hosts. xx

  • Perfect long weekend break but we could have stayed a lot longer. Felt very at home. Kitchen was fully equipped with lovely thoughtful touches. Photo’s do not do it justice. Living room space was lovely and comfy with the log burner on. Great 3 min walk to the main road in Menai with great food spots. Had some good recommendations from the neighbour who has access through the garden space to his garden. Friendly guy. Great for costal dog walks, several different walks we found on google all 20 mins ish away. We didn’t want to leave :)

Bookings only for people needing accommodation for essential work purposes. 2 people max. Situated in the beautiful village of Y Felinheli. The cottage is very cosy and full of character. The outside decked area is great for sitting out in the sun.
The house has had some areas decorated over the last few months. There are two bedrooms sleeping up to 5 people. Room 1 has a double bed and single bed. The second room has a bunk bed. There is a TV in the two bedrooms and in the living room. There is gas central heating throughout. Unfortunately the gas fire in the living room is not currently connected but will be very soon. There is one bathroom with bath and shower. The kitchen has integrated oven, washing machine and drier. Outside there is a good sized decked area. This a great area for sitting out in the summer (Very Small children will require supervision). We have squirrels and many different unique birds nesting in the trees around us such as woodpeckers and Jay birds. Down the steps from the decking is a lower garden area. Unfortunately this area has been taken over by our chickens (no cockerels) and so guests should not venture into this area.
The cottage is away from the main road and is on a beautiful quiet lane. We have squirrels and many different unique birds nesting in the trees around us such as woodpeckers and Jay birds.

  • It’s nice and peaceful place to stay. You can enjoy perfect sunrise and sunset. It’s near to the beach and you can easily walk to the seaside. The only thing is that it’s a little bit cold during the morning and nighttime. So just bring something to keep yourself warm .

  • The accommodation is tidy and spotless. Kitchen fully equipped. Bed comfortable, living area spacious. My partner and I were very happy with what we had booked. The site is small (only three other static vans) it is oh so peaceful, only noise is the cows and birds, which is exactly what we wanted. The views from our van were amazing, beautiful sunrise and sunset The village pub you can walk to. If you want to get away from the hectic life we lead then I highly recommend Catherine and Eifions place. A great place to relax

A special spot.

  • Located directly on the Menai Straits, this special B&B has privacy, proximity to town, and an outstanding garden. A unique & lovely place.

    Catherine2019-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • As expected from previous reviews. The best thing for me was the location - great comfortable base for easy access to coastal walks and Menai Town within walking distance for evening restaurants & pubs.

The house is conveniently situated for anyone wanting to take in the beauty of North Wales. Snowdonia National Park is only a few miles away, Snowdon mountain/railway is about 10 miles drive. Anglesey is just across the Menai Straits (a 20-30 minute walk to the bridge). Llandudno is only a 20 mile drive. Convenient for the A55, railway station, bus stops, University, hospital and the Ferry port at Holyhead. Bangor has many restaurants, bars and is only a 15 minute walk from the house.
The bedrooms are already very nicely decorated, however it is our plan to renovate some of the other parts of the house, including the bathroom. Some areas, although dated, will be clean.
The Menai Bridge & Straits are only a 20 - 30 minute walk from the house. The University & hospital are only a short walk, as is the city centre.
  • Wonderful home, perfect hosts. Great location. I strongly recommend staying with such lovely people.

  • A very relaxed and homely place to stay. Vicky and Shaun are very welcoming. Handy for the town.

    Catherine2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Slight glitch when we arrived which saw us having a bit of a delayed check in. However, Shaun dealt with this over and above what we expected and went out of his way to sort things out which we really appreciated! The room was comfortable, stylish and had all the space we needed. Kitchen was spacious and everything was fully stocked! We were only there the one night but we wouldn’t hesitate going back and recommending others to stay here! Thanks for having us! :)

  • Excellent location, lovely little get away retreat

    Paul2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Just want to thank Alex for allowing us to stay at his beautiful home. We’ve just suffered a death in the family and after the funeral needed to get away for a couple of days. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. We discovered the costal path to Caernarfon which we jogged on our first morning. On our second night we enjoyed the Hot Tub and made a wonderful meal. Home away from home although I’d say I slept better than I do at home. It was the small touches that made it (Beautiful hand soap and Fluffy towels) Highly recommended, thank you

    Nicholas2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely, clean little space with everything we needed to hand. Very homely and comfortable so we were able to settle in really quickly. Loads of storage for all our things, comfy beds and a great shower. The kids loved their bunk beds in their ‘new bedroom’ and wanted to stay forever. Brilliant location for us to explore Anglesey for a few days. Thank you to Alex who answered all our questions really quickly and for the little treats that you left for us :-)

    Linzi2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is brilliant, everything you see in the photos is spot on. The little touches around the house made it feel so homely. I love the fact there was oil, salt and pepper.... this is something we always forget to pack. In fact everything I’d usually forget to pack there were spares in the house... 10 out of 10 for organising, planning and preparation. Alex has been brilliant with his communications, very friendly, and helpful. The hot tub was very clean and not over looked. We wished we had booked a longer stay, and will definitely be back soon 🙏🏻

    Kate2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Alex is a wonderful Airbnb host. Our stay was as lovely as we could have hoped it would be. The house was beautifully clean with everything we needed and so many thoughtful touches. We really enjoyed our weekend here and look forward to coming back again. Many thanks!

  • Absolutely fantastic stay. Clean with lovely personal touches. Hot tub was an amazing bonus. Alex was a superb host. Will stay again when the weather is a bit better!

  • The house is lovely, it’s bigger than it looks in the pictures too. Perfect location for a weekend away and Alex was a great host.

Central but tranquil, perfect for a romantic glamping get away. This light, airy Shepherds hut with its converted horsebox shower & toilet. Privately set in a paddock it’s ideally located to explore Snowdonia, the North Wales coast and the beautiful Anglesey beaches. Seven miles from both the royal town of Caernarfon with it's majestic castle and Llanberis at the foot of Snowdon, Zipworld is less than ten miles. Easy walk down into the village with a pretty marina, pubs and bistro.
South facing and a little sun trap. Towels and bedding provided. Microwave, small fridge, induction hob and outdoor fire pit for BBQs. Cold running water quickly and easily heated on the hob. Hot water aplenty in the horse-box! Access to washing machine.
The nearest neighbour is a five minute walk away. The village with pretty marina, shingle beach, pub, bistros and small local convenience shop is a fifteen minutes walk. Tesco Extra is a five minute drive.
  • Very clean and tidy, nice little extras left by the host, communication was excellent. Will definitely return.

  • Gorgeous and unique property, couldn't want anything more!

    Chris2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • If privacy, tranquility and nature is your thing, then this place is a must! From a beautiful location to freshly baked bread, we enjoyed the warmth of the Shepard's hut and the horsebox shower was surprisingly warm too! With saying this, we picked a weekend away when storm Dennis arrived. None the less, we had everything we needed. Heating, a warm and very comfortable bed, a kitchenette and nature. We pulled on our wellies and walked around parts of the 30acre land. The location is peaceful, beautiful and driving out to explore was easy. Cleanliness is 5 star and the hosts were excellent!

  • The shepherds hut was so cute small and compact but everything you need for a relaxing break. The facilities were great shower lovely and hot and clean. The bed was so comfy and we were surprised how warm the hut was. The cooking facilities were just what you would need for a short break away. Having no tv was a bonus we chatted played cards and enjoyed the surrounding area. Wonderful weekend away.
