Our Cabin has a Queen size bed, a single Z-bed (if requested), a mini wet room with Toilet and Shower and a kitchen unit. The hot water is supplied by a small tank, so quick showers are necessary! The cabin is separate from the main house. There is a TV / DVD and drink making facilities. The cabin has a fridge, a mini oven with dual hob. If you need any crockery or cutlery that's not already in the cabin, feel free to ask!
Our cabin is within the Snowdonia National Park and has very easy access to the A55 expressway. We're 5 minutes from Penmaenmawr, which boasts a range of take aways and a locally renowned restaurant. Conwy is 10 minutes away, with its town walls, historic Castle and a great array of Pubs and Restaurants.
Dwygyfylchi has a village atmosphere, with a parade of 2 shops, 2 excellent pubs, an Austrian Restaurant, an Indian Restaurant and Golf club. The locals are friendly and the atmosphere relaxed.
  • The cabin was amazing! It was just as good as any hotel room, but a third the price. Location is ideal too, right at the base of some mountain trails, down the street from two convenience stores, and 3 miles from the historic town of Conwy. There are some good restaurants too just a 15 minute walk down the road.

  • Dan is a very friendly person, very easy to communicate and very knowledgeable about things to do nearby. The cabin itself is a mini castle with everything that's required and even more such as an Xbox. Had a very comfortable stay and definitely recommend this place.

  • Sarah's place is so cozy, such a lovely little spot to rest with a beautiful view of Snowdonia! The chairs on the porch and fuzzy blankets created a perfect place to watch the sunrise. I highly recommend this space for a quick trip to North Wales, just don't try to find it in the dark and DO NOT use the address to find it, follow the Host's instructions. If you use the address, you WILL be lost.

Andrew knee we needed to be away early, and got up to cook us both a delicious breakfast, which was what we really needed before going for an orienteering competition. The room downstairs was private, with a beautiful outdoor area by the river, and it was stunning! There were even candles in the house which was really sweet. He gave us a good recommendation for dinner, and told us about nearby attractions, such as Anglesey. Thanks again, Andrew! Al the best, Claire and Luke!

  • Lauren and Simon were always on hand and really helpful and friendly. The space is quiet and very clean, there were nice little touches like cereal, tea, coffee, jam, and things like condiments and foil and cooking oil. Bathroom also had plenty of loo roll, soap and so on. The space is well laid out with great flow, and with a nice view of the sea, the bay windows let in a lot of light, and the place is a short walk from the beach and the town, I went trail running along the coast, and was able to do this as soon as I stepped out the door. Kitchen well equipped for cooking, and the broadband was super fast with a crystal clear good sized HD tv. All in all a great space for a quiet break which I badly needed.

    Carl2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is great, we were especially delighted with the equipment of the kitchen. Llanfairfechan is very beautiful and definitely worth a visit! We really enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend Lauren’s apartment!

  • This is an absolute gem of a place to stay. Kevin and Shirley are fabulous hosts who go way above simply hosting quite simply they are one of the sweetest, kindest, lovliest couples you will ever meet and Peggy completes the home. Their home is delightful and its position is breathtaking. The rooms are lovely and charming with a true cotage feel. The bathroom is spotless with a fabulous shower. The brekfasts are yummy with lots of local produce on offer and home baking too!!!! i had a puncture along the lane, which is narrow and craggy so watch out for low lying rocks as like a wallaby I drove into one!!! • A gorgeous cottage in a great part of North Wales - cosy but v spacious! The wood burner and huge bath with endless hot water were a dream to come back to after a lot of walks on very wet days! The kitchen is massive and very well equipped - Gwen & James were kind enough to drop off an extra dish to me when I realised I need something bigger for our meal! Communication was great throughout, v easy check in and check out. Llanfairfechan is a nice town, close to all the sites, with good shops, cafes and a couple of nice pubs! • Jenny is so friendly and welcoming, I felt right at home :) Great selection of cereals for breakfast, along with fruits and bread for toast, jam and marmalade. She got soy milk in and marg for me too (vegan). The room I stayed in was spacious and the bed mega comfy. There's a large shared lounge space too - though the family may use a separate lounge upstairs. Her chihuahuas and kids are lovely too!

  • This was a lovely stay. The house is beautifully set out and the hostess is a lovely person who went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. We had our own bedroom, bathroom and breakfast area and everything was clean, tidy and very well presented. The location is very close to Conwy centre and easy to access by car so I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Conwy. Thanks Jenny, you were brilliant.

Mid terrace renovated a few years ago sleeping 4 people, only 500 meters from a wide sandy beach, shops, pubs and restaurants in the seaside village of Penmaenmawr. A short drive from Llandudno and Conwy to east, Anglesey to the west and Snowdonia to the south.
It is a 2 bedroom house set out over 2 floors. The master bedroom (king size bed), family bathroom (bath with shower over) and twin bedroom are on the first floor. The main living area is on the ground floor with a comfortable lounge and kitchen-diner. The house was renovated a few years ago keeping the high ceilings and trying to blend original features with a light, bright interior.
Penmaenmawr lies between a wide sandy beach (ideal for families, kites and sailing) and the beginning of the Snowdonia National Park (walking, hiking mountain biking and more). There shops, cafes and restaurants within walking distance. A short drive takes you to popular tourist destinations like the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno, the historic castle town of Conwy and inland towards Betws Y Coed, Bethesda and Mt. Snowdon itself. North Wales is becoming a hub for adrenalin adventure, Zip Wires, Surf Snowdonia, Bounce Below, Llechwedd Slate Caverns, Go Below and more and all within an easy drive.
  • This is a beautiful townhouse in a great location. The house is very comfortable, clean and stylish with high quality furniture. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends who are visiting northern Wales.

  • Great stay - the cottage was very comfortable and set-up for our family holiday. Chris and Polly were thoughtful and responsive guests - we hope to be able to stay again.

    Marika2019-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • My wife, two children and I spent three lovely nights in Polly and Christopher's cottage in Llafairfechan, Wales. There is much to say about the amenities, the location, the cleanliness and the attentiveness of the location, the cottage and our hosts. Thoughtful touches (coffee, French Press!, tea, condiments, etc.) plus first rate amenities including foam core mattress, more than enough pillows, towels, paper towels, in addition to large TV with leather sofa and love seat. Glad to say that we were so busy doing stuff that we only had time to collapse in front of the TV for a couple episodes of Arrested Development on Netflix. We spent most of our time exploring North Wales which included a visit to Conwy and a tour of the medieval Conwy Castle. The overall highlight for us was our drive into Snowdonia and climbing to the peak of Snowdon Mountain. An amazing experience. Polly and Chris' cottage made all of our day trips easy and quick. Last point: we loved wandering around the town of Llanfairfechan - the COOP grocery is a five-minute walk and we went there daily, getting to know the place and the people, picking up supplies for breakfast (great, fully-equipped kitchen, BTW) -- and the ocean is a quick ten minute walk. We would most definitely stay in this lovely cottage again!

    Martin2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • We booked this cottage as a base to go hill walking because of its location and found it to be a little gem as it had everything we we wanted and more. This is a very clean, comfortable and well maintained cottage. Christopher is very good host.

'Come and stay in our AirBnB; Here where the mountains sweep down to the sea!' Spectacular views out to Anglesey, Puffin Island and the Great Orme. Wonderful walking and scrambling area! Perfect location for the North Wales Coastal Path. Historic castles, stunning gardens and tranquil, unspoiled beaches. Village centre a short walk. Railway station and beach five minutes walk. Easily accessible from the A55 route to Ireland. Liverpool & Manchester airports. Handy for Bangor University!
The Room Located on the second foor (US third floor!), the room has views to the North East across to Llandudno and the Great Orme and Eastwards up to the two Penmaenmawr mountains. Situated at the rear of the building it is cosy and quiet with a brand new bed and mattress. Facilities include TV, tea and coffee making facilities, and Wi-fi access. You also have the exclusive use of a bathroom with bath, shower, washbasin and WC next door to your room. The room where breakfast is served has the view across to Puffin Island. The House: One of a trio of three storey houses constructed by the owners of Pen quarry for their managers. Built over 100 years ago they command magnificent views across the Irish Sea to Anglesey, Puffin Island and The Great Orme. The house is adjoined on three sides by a substantial plot of land on different levels giving it an interesting perspective.
As a new visitor to North Wales or a veteran of the Welsh countryside there is something for everyone within this beautiful land. Nestling amongst mountains and the sea, Penmaenmawr is located between Llanfairfechan and the historical town of Conwy. If you have not previously visited Penmaenmawr, you may be unaware of its hidden treasures. If you arrive by car you will either have come by the A55 or you will have travelled from the direction of Conwy, over the picturesque Sychnant Pass which forms part of the Snowdonia National Park. This will have given you a taste of what is on offer. Relax in one of a number of good pubs and restaurants within Penmaenmawr and Dwygyfylchi, which should be able to cater for most people, or try taking a gentle evening stroll along the soft sandy beaches, looking out over the clear blue sea to Puffin Island and Anglesey and watching some of the most breathtaking sunsets. Our beach has been awarded the Blue Flag. A statue and bronze bust in the town commemorates former Prime Minister William Gladstone’s connection with Penmaenmawr. The original bust was stolen in 1977. A new bust, the work of local sculptor Peter London, a former resident of this house, replaced it in 1991.
  • A comfortable and warm room with fabulous views and a very welcoming host. Great location and everything you’ll need for a happy stay.

  • Nansi made communication easy and her cottage was lovely. We had a really lovely time. The place became toasty warm quickly, and it’s well stocked with what a family needs to self-cater. Will book again. Very dog friendly too, but clearly cleaned well after stays because no dog smell etc

    Emma2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Nansi's cottage was really our home for the 7 days we stayed there. We really loved the area and lovely walks we did thanks to her advice. The kitchen was best stocked in the holiday accommodations I ever stayed, the shower was hot and the beds were comfortable. The outside playarea kept the 2 year old busy and happy. It was very reasonable for all these amenities. Highly recommended.

    Yuki2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Nansi's place is a really spacious, comfortable place with all your self catering needs taken care of. It was also a great place to hang out at after a days sight seeing around Conwy. The power showers were great and the beds very comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending to anyone about booking the cottage. I hope to stay again some time soon.

  • We stayed here with our 4 and 5 year old and had a wonderful stay. There is a small park on the site, a child friendly bar and shop a short drive away. The views were incredible and the whole site is very quiet and well kept. The caravan was in pristine condition that has been nicely furnished. It was very comfortable and the hosts communicated throughout. So much to do in the local area for kids too. Outstanding value for money.

  • This place is in a great location, within a 15 minute drive of Bangor and Conwy, and had an amazing view. The residents of the house are extremely friendly. The beds are very comfortable (although some of the sheets and towels did have some stains) and the bathroom is really nice. This place is perfect for a large group as it has plenty of space and the kitchen is well kitted out.

  • Smashingplace, great views

    Keith2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Iain's place is immaculate! I love the fine details gone into it and especially the bath after a long hike from Snowdon works a charm. It's spacious and has everything you need. Also comes with a lovely view from the balcony where you can see the sunrise and set. The internet however wasn't working but it didn't matter much and Iain has mentioned he is going to look into it.

  • Everyone one us liked the cottage - it was a perfect fit for my family. Everything was net, clean and in perfect order. The location is an extra bonus. There are many local spots for visits. We had a good time walking to the Aber fall which is around 2.5 miles from the property. Debbie is a wonderful host, she replied to me within 3 minutes of my every message ( i sent a lot of messages). She tried her best to accommodate our requests. I would highly recommend the property to any potential visitors.

Fast response to messages and very quick to drop additional firewood off when it was needed. If you’re looking for a cosy retreat in peaceful surroundings at the end of a busy day exploring then you won’t be disappointed.

  • A truly high quality experience. We were welcomed so warmly to the cottage which is beautiful and has a traditional, cosy charm whilst being spotlessly clean and having all you need to enjoy a stay. Brilliant bath/shower, very comfortable bed and curtains that work (keep out the light!) + excellent kitchen facilities. Made use of Netflix and the log burner every night. We really enjoyed the location for getting out to Conwy and Llechwedd Slate Caverns. Folder in the cottage with local walk instructions was amazing and we couldn’t have had a better time on our last day using one of the guides to go up the mountain behind the cottage and experience some of the best views I’ve ever seen (looking down to the village, to Conwy & it’s castle, across to Anglesey and around to snow topped mountains). Thank you for a perfect time away!

    Flora2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Its our second time here in Rowen, highly recommended little cottage. Beautiful and clean.

    Karen2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a perfect countryside getaway. The cottage is spotlessly clean with all the amenities that you could need, including a cosy woodburner which was very welcome at this time of year! There is a friendly local pub a stone throw away with good beer and food (we went every day). The village is peaceful and quite but only a short drive from Conwy if you need a few more eating/drinking options. Highly recommend and would definitely return

    Dean2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • 100% the best place Iv stayed so far Amazing place lovely area, will definitely be back

    Kenny2019-10-27T00:00:00Z

    Rebecca2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay here with our 4 month old baby. A travel cot was ready for us when we arrived which was very convenient. The cottage was clean and beautifully decorated, with woodburning stove and netflix on the tv. The village of Rowen is small but just a short drive to Conwy. We would stay here again.
