  • Absolutely loved staying at Ursula's stylish, comfortable, quiet & well equipped annexe. Lovely countryside location in small hamlet with quick access to many of Cotswolds attractions. Great range of breakfast items supplied & having microwave meant I could rustle up quick lunch & dinners (no hob or oven but that didn't matter). Excellent communication at all times. I would highly recommend this Airbnb & would love to stay again.

The Cotswold Wash House nestles in the slopes of the Windrush Valley on the edge of Great Rissington. The village has a manor, church and inn; all the charm of a bygone age. The compact cottage combines antique furniture with modern interior design. You'll find a super kingsize bed with crisp, white 800 thread Egyptian cotton bed linen. The kitchen is fully equipped and we provide a generous breakfast hamper with locally baked bread, eggs, milk, cereals, jams, coffee and tea in plentiful supply.
This is a fully converted Wash House that once served a three hundred year old house. It's made of honeyed Cotswold stone and is set in the heart of our tranquil village. Made for two! The rear windows look out onto an orchard and the front have stunning views down the Windrush Valley.
This is the Golden Mile of the Cotswolds. There are country walks from your front door; river banks and villages of honeyed stone. Popular destinations include: Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh as well as beautiful smaller villages like the Slaughters and Bibury.
  • The Wash House is a wonderful cosy place for a short break away in the Cotswolds. It’s exceptionally comfortable and all the amenities you might need are provided for. Chris and Ali are fantastic hosts and there were some very thoughtful and welcoming touches for when we arrived. We would definitely stay again.

    Colin2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Wash House was a lovely place to stay - warm, cosy, beautiful location...and with delicious breakfast hamper provided. Chris was a lovely host - easy to communicate with and incredibly hospitable. Would highly recommend.

    Lucy2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful little stay at The Wash House. It had everything that was needed for a weekend get away. A perfect location for country walks and exploring the surrounding villages. Thank you for having us!

    Charlotte2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is really satisfying. It's a central part of Cotswolds, so it's easy to get to any nearby city, but you'll have to drive through rural back roads, so be careful about driving. (In addition, everyone is fast, like Forza Horizon 4) But everything else is perfect. Clean and warm. At the end of February, I thought I could get it, but the heating is perfect. Beds and bedding are also comfortable. The lighting is also everywhere, so it's convenient and nice. The breakfast you provided was also very satisfying. If you're two, you'll have no regrets at all.

    hoseon2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This stylish cottage was perfect for a little Cotwolds getaway I had with my friend. Chris met us on arrival and showed us round. The place was clean and cosy, with helpful leaflets and walking routes for the surrounding areas. The location was perfect and we had the best time! Thank you for a great stay.

    Molly2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Had a fantastic stay at this little cottage for the 2nd time! Very cosy and pleasant stay, in a lovely little village, with great places nearby too! Chris is a lovely host and we were very happy 😊

    Daisy2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect little cottage for a lovely weekend away for two! Chris was very welcoming and the cottage as absolutely lovely and in a fabulous quiet location. I would definitely recommend and will likely be back myself. The breakfast basket was a lovely touch and the bed was unbelievably comfortable.

Daisy's cottage is situated in Great Rissington a hill top village overlooking the Windrush valley. A few minutes drive away is Bourton on the Water, The Slaughters Stow on the Wold and Burford. Set in the grounds of Kate and Richard's own home the cottage has been converted from a Georgian Barn it provides cosy, self contained accommodation, and offers couples the chance to share this wonderful area while enjoying the privacy of their own characterful cottage.
Whilst retaining the original beams and stonework Daisy's has a light, airy interior; stable door to the front and French doors to the private patio area at the back. The wonderfully equipped kitchen lacks nothing. Everything has been considered to make self-catering a joy. The cosy sitting room has a television and dvd player. It also has a radio and iPod/iPhone docking station. The bedroom is furnished in antique pine with a comfortable king size bed and has a window opening to the patio. The bathroom has a bath with over head shower, it also has a hand held shower attached to the taps, and a pretty window with views over the gardens of Meadow Barn. The preferred check in times are 3pm to 5pm but this is flexible with prior arrangement.
Set in the heart of the Cotswold we have many beautiful villages to visit all within a short drive Bourton on the Water, The Slaughters, Burford and Bibury to name just a few. Also worth a visit is Adam Hinson’s Farm Park, Snowshill Manor, the world famous Arts and Crafts garden at Hidcote near Chipping Campden, Chedworth Roman Villa and Cirencester. The city of Bath makes a wonderful day visit as does Stratford on Avon and Warwick. For those of you that enjoy period drama a visit to Chavenage house where some of Poldark was filmed is a must, at Chavenage you can escape into the peaceful surroundings of a Cotswold manor, virtually unchanged for 400 years. The house is situated near Tetbury which is 31 miles from Daisy's Cottage and open to the pubic from 1st May to 30th September on Thursdays and Sundays from 2-5pm. The charming village of Bampton which is just 14 miles away is where many scenes from Downton Abbey were filmed, St Mary's church renamed St Michael and All Angels in Downton Abbey, has hosted many dramatic events including weddings, funerals, christenings and even a jilting at the alter!

Perfect spot for quick day trips as well as a comfy place to hibernate a bit if that’s what you are looking for. The town is small so it was great to just pop down for a walk when the sun would come out. All around a great time that we will never forget!

  • The Cotswolds at its best. A beautiful well presented and proportioned cottage bursting with homely touches to enhance your experience from arrival. Within short reach of lovely Burford high street.

    Leah2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect weekend getaway. A birthday weekend for a group of 7 girls. The cottage itself is stunning and Sarah makes a lot of effort with the little details. The kitchen is very well equipped and we were welcomed with a lovely bottle of wine, some milk and orange juice! The little touches make a difference! Sara responded very quickly to any queries and gave us recommendations for local eateries and walks. Rose Cottage felt like a 5* hotel, beds were so comfy and spacious. The perfect place for walks to the local pub and cosy nights in on the sofa in front of the fire. We will definitely be back!

    Lydia2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah was a great host, very responsive and accommodated all our needs. The cottage is lovely and perfect for a family stay. Well equipped and the log fire was just lovely. Would highly recommend.

    Rachel2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy but spacious cottage (we were 5 adults) surrounded by beautiful Cotswolds countryside. We loved the log burner (we bought a generous bag of extra logs) and found the place well equipped - we happily cooked a roast for Christmas dinner. Comfortable and quiet at night with most bedrooms having nice thick curtains. Only minor quibble was it would have been nice to be able to regulate the heating more ourselves as we sometimes found it too hot or too cold, but overall I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rose Cottage!

    Ellis2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah's place was clean and tidy, with everything you need. Plenty of space in the living and dining areas for us (a group of 7), and in a lovely little village. Sarah was speedy at answering questions and even provided milk, orange juice and a bottle of wine! The perfect getaway.

    Beth2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah's cottage is really spacious but cosy. All the rooms were really clean, well appointed and laid out. The kitchen is really well equipped too which is helpful if you decide to cook a meal in. We really enjoyed that there were some pretty Christmas decorations as it helped make our break feel very festive :-) Would recommended

The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.
  • The perfect cottage for exploring the Cotswolds. Spotlessly clean, a kitchen stocked with everything you could possibly need and a super comfy sofa! The cottage is within 10 minutes of some of the most beautiful Cotswold towns and villages and some fabulous pubs. We would highly recommend The Feathered Nest Inn for a special dinner - lovely atmosphere and amazing service. The Old Butchers in Stow-on-the-Wold is also a unique find with a brilliant selection of fish on the menu.

  • Beautiful house in a lovely little village, be aware no village pub you do need to drive. Parking can be a bit tight especially for 2 'big' cars. Would definitely stay here again, fabulous location for exploring all the pretty villages and towns of the Cotswolds.

    Vanessa2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is really lovely. The host was easy to communicate with and access was straight forward. We had a great stay.

    William2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at this property was wonderful. The house itself is beautiful, warm, comfortable and just exactly what we were hoping it would be. The location is fantastic for either heading out to explore in the car or for stretching your legs and walking into the neighbouring village of Bourton-on-the-Water. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Surrounded by nothing but acres of fields filled with wildlife, College Farm Cottage is a charming 18th Century child- and dog-friendly* property, sleeping 3 guests in 2 bed-rooms with 1 bathroom. A short drive from the Cotswold towns of Burford and Lechlade, College Farm Cottage is perfect for guests seeking open space and tranquillity, with plenty of walking routes quite literally on your doorstep.
*Dogs: Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome at the cottage at an additional cost of £30 per dog. Please let us know if you will be bringing a dog(s) and we will then revise your booking confirmation. Introduction Low hedges, acres of flat green fields and an abundance of wildlife – these are the scenes that will greet you as you head towards College Farm Cottage. Situated on the expansive Bradwell Grove Estate, home to the Cotswold Wildlife Park, it’s hard to im-agine that you are only a few miles from Burford and Lechlade. As you make your way along the open fence-less lanes, you will almost feel as though you’re driving through the middle of the fields. Once you have arrived at the end of the farm track, you will find a delightful cottage with plenty of character – if you’re visiting in the summer months, you’ll even get to appreciate College Farm Cottage in all of its beautiful Wiste-ria–covered glory. College farm was built in 1771 by Trinity College of the University of Oxford for the use of tenant farmers as a source of additional income for the college. A working farm up until recent years, College Farm is now owned by the Bradwell Grove Estate, home to the nearby Cotswold Wildlife Park that exhibits over 260 different species of ani-mals – on a quiet day you may even be able to hear the lions roaring from the cottage! Although College Farm is no longer a working farm, it is surrounded by mainly arable farmland, all of which is organic. With a strong emphasis on conservation around the estate, there is plenty of wildlife to observe, from ground nesting birds to deer. You only have to step outside of the door at College Farm Cottage and you are right in the heart of unspoilt countryside, with bridle paths and walking routes running alongside the farmyard. Inside, the cottage is a lovely mix of traditional and new. The original flagstone flooring and woodburner add a touch of rustic charm, while there’s a new JVC Smart TV for guest use. Benefitting from a bright and airy feeling throughout, the cottage is decorat-ed in neutral tones, accented by quirky pops of colour and unique pieces of art and furniture. The back door opens out into a garden, while the windows boast views of nothing but green fields and the historic farmyard buildings. If you’re looking for peace, tranquillity and open starry skies, you’ve come to the right place. Despite its rural location, College Farm Cottage is just a 5-10 minute drive from the beautiful market town of Burford, where you will find artisan boutiques, cosy cafés, and interesting pubs. Walk to the top of the High Street and look back down the hill to enjoy one of the most exquisite views in the Cotswolds – and perhaps the finest ‘streetscape’ in England! Full Description Ground Floor Enter through the front door straight into the… Sitting Room A bright and spacious living space, the Sitting Room has a wonderful quintessential country cottage feel to it. Outside The garden of College Farm Cottage can be accessed via the back door from the Kitch-en. Benefitting from the best of both worlds, College Farm Cottage enjoys a secluded location but is also the perfect location for exploring Burford and the wider Cotswolds. Please see the framed OS map in the sitting room where College Farm sits exactly cen-trally. In just a 5-10 minute drive you will find yourself on the High Street of Burford, a stunning medieval market town with plenty to offer. The excellent Co-operative su-permarket on the High Street stocks all immediate shopping requirements and is open 7am – 10pm every day of the week. There is also a Co-operative supermarket in Lech-lade, a 5-10 minute drive in the opposite direction to Burford, open 8am-8pm every day. There are some great cafés in Burford. Head towards the historic church and you will discover the newly built Warwick Hall and café, ideal for a morning coffee and snacks. Another good spot for a reviving cup of coffee or tea is Lynwood & Co on the High Street, where you can also buy delicious local artisan-made Sourdough bread and of course the famous Huffkins tea shop. If you find yourself parking in the main car park for Burford near the church (free parking) you will cross the mill-race connecting to the charming River Windrush that meanders through the Cotswolds, a lovely spot to feed the ducks and swans! Burford used to be a major coaching town between London and the West Country and was home to 35 coaching inns! The town still retains 13 pubs, of which some favour-ites are The Angel, a very good gastropub, The Highway and The Lamb on Sheep Street. There’s also a great variety of specialist shops to explore – including Maggie White and the fascinating Tolsey Museum. Alternatively, The Victoria in Eastleach, a very pretty Cotswold village nearby, is about an hour walk from the cottage and is a wonderful pub with good food, recommended by Emma and William. Also highly recommended - The Five Alls in Filkins and The Bell in Langford, both excellent pubs. All are popular so booking is essential. Around 5 miles south of the cottage, you will find Lechlade-on-Thames, a small historic town on the Thames, from which London could be reached by boat. With plenty of walks, a thriving market square, pubs, cafes and antique shops, Lechlade is slightly off the beaten tourist track compared to Burford and makes for a great day out. Here you will find a fantastic butcher, Cutler & Bayliss, selling high quality meat, cheese, fresh vegetables and bread as well as another Lynwood & Co café. If you fancy exploring a bit further afield, the beautiful ancient Roman market town of Cirencester is about 10 miles south and also there’s Witney which is an easy 11-mile drive east towards Oxford. Like Cirencester it has a great array of high street shops, larger supermarkets such as M&S, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s, eateries and a modern cinema complex. Also, around 15 miles away is the renowned Daylesford Organic Farm in Kingham, a farm complex that offers a farm shop, restaurant, spa as well as other activities such as farm tours and cooking courses. See the Burford Guidebook for further information.

  • We could not recommend this place more highly. The house was beautiful, quaint and clean and the room comfy and beautifully cosy. The real gem in this experience, however, was Jackie who is a fabulous and gracious host! Nothing was too much trouble, but the highlight for us was getting to share breakfast with her as we chatted with her about all aspects of life, which was really wonderful! We’ll definitely be making another visit not only for the house and wealth of things to do in the area but for the lovely hostess with the mostest! Thank you, Jackie!

This is a detached conversion which you have to yourselves. The beautifully renovated Grade II Listed stable, in a quintessential Cotswold village, has a cosy fire in a spacious living area. There's a large bedroom with wardrobe, and a modern ensuite shower. Local walks are on the doorstep, close to attractions such as Sherborne Park (National Trust), Burford, Bibury and Stone Barn.
Underfloor heating downstairs, and woodburner with a basket of wood provided. Tea, coffee, milk and snacks are provided in the kitchen. There is a microwave for cooking (no oven or hob) but we can cook meals for you and deliver to the door during the Corona crisis. We recommend cookfood.net.
Fabulous local shop/tea room in the next village. Pub also within walking distance.

  • Great location, very clean, nice big apartment with everything necessary to spend a few days. It is in a beautiful, peaceful setting- but not too far from shopping and great restaurants! Nice central location in the Cotswalds, perfect for exploring the area. Highly recommend!

  • Fantastic place to stay in the Cotswolds. Not too far to get to Burford and, if you love a country pub, The Fox Inn is just a short walk away. Great walks, lovely scenery, perfect way to see in the New Year.

Church Cottage is a beautifully preserved Cotswold home, with original features that seamlessly blend with contemporary comforts. The cottage sleeps 6 guests across 3 bedrooms, with 2 bathrooms, and a downstairs WC. In the heart of beautiful Burford, Church Cottage has layers of history, curiosities and unique craftsmanship, including a wood-burning stove. The cottage has a large, secluded garden and a sunny Rose Terrace, plus off-road parking for 1 car, with additional street parking nearby.
Full Description Ground Floor Entrance Hall and downstairs WC Step through the red front door into the entrance hall, a compact space, but with plenty of room for coats, umbrellas, boots and shoes. Above is a Victorian clothes-drying rack, operated on a pulley system, with the rope wound around the hook on the wall - providing an efficient and environmentally friendly way to dry clothes. Open the door to your left and you will find the downstairs WC and washbasin, situated in the old ‘privy’. Take one step up through to the: Kitchen The well-equipped kitchen is a light and airy space filled with beautiful original features, such as the tiled flooring and half-size Belfast sink. The super-efficient ‘Everhot’ range cooker will be warm and ready to use and is fantastic for baking and drying alike! The row of cream cupboards opposite the cooker cleverly hides a separate fridge and freezer, individual bins, washing machine and dishwasher. The tall cupboard next to the door to the sitting room contains the microwave, and a full range of plates, glasses and cooking equipment. Before moving on into the sitting room, take a moment to study Clare’s collection of vintage tins in the glass fronted cabinet. With some tins dating from the early 1900s, this unique collection is the culmination of a lifelong hobby for Clare. Which one is your favourite? Through to the: Sitting Room A wonderfully cosy living space, this room is the heart of the cottage, with original painted wooden floorboards and beams, cheerful floral curtains, warm bright furniture including two armchairs a three-seater sofa. An inviting wood-burning stove sits proudly in the original brick fireplace, framed by oak bookcases handmade in Witney containing a selection of novels, reference and guide books. The perfect place to curl up next to the fire with a book in hand or snuggle down to watch the new ‘Smart’ television, located in the antique pine corner cupboard, along with a DVD player, Bluetooth speaker and a selection of games and puzzles. The room is very well lit, with subtle spotlights adding a touch of modernity while ensuring that the cottage never feels dark. (TV and DVD player instructions are in the ‘Owners’ Notes’.) French windows in the Sitting Room lead to the garden. Head through to the Dining Room via the cottage’s original front door: Dining Room The first thing that may strike you about this room is its spaciousness; for a compact cottage, this generously sized dining area provides plenty of space for entertaining. This is the newer part of the house, added in 2002, though it blends in seamlessly with the original style of the cottage. A fresh, light room with shelves displaying more gorgeous ceramics and original paintings, and of course, the centre piece of the room, a large dining table with ample room and seating for six. In the far-left corner you will notice a piece of furniture from a bygone era, a lovely antique headteacher’s desk. If you fancy some al fresco dining, the French windows take you directly out onto the sheltered Rose Terrace, with its truly stunning view of the magnificent west end of Burford Church. Head back into the Sitting Room to the left-hand corner where a door opens to traditional cottage stairs leading up to the bedrooms and bathrooms: Upstairs Upstairs Landing Once you are at the top of the stairs - take care as they are quite steep - you will reach the landing where you will find a wide wooden worktop that stretches the length of the landing. On top of the worktop there is a travel cot, baby changing mat and a little step that may be useful for teeth-brushing! Through the door on the right at the top of the stairs to the: Bathroom A bright and compact bathroom, with a gorgeous, original 1930’s bathtub with attached shower hose, W.C. and wash basin. Please note: the shower fitting is not suitable for use as a stand-up shower but is fine for sitting/in-bath use and hair washing. Enter the next door opposite the stairs into the: Double Bedroom With its soft, pastel-coloured walls and furnishings and comfortable ‘Queen-size’ double bed, it’s hard not to feel cosy in this charming bedroom with its sloping ceiling. There’s also plenty of space and storage, with two bedside tables with drawers, a chair, a lovely vintage pine chest of drawers, and a small hanging cupboard inside the door on the left-hand side next to the bed. This bedroom has a lovely view over the gardens and rooftops of old Burford. Further along the landing on the right and into the: Twin Bedroom Set up as a children’s bedroom, this charming room is sure to enchant all ages. Two comfortable single beds line either side of the room, with a large vintage pine chest of drawers between the beds. Above the chest of drawers hangs a captivating illustration of a rabbit family guaranteed to delight young guests, while the quaint little fireplace (not working) and patchwork curtains all add to the appeal of this cheerful twin room. On to the end of the passage and into the: Master Bedroom with En Suite Complete with two 1940’s chests of drawers, bedside tables and modern radio – the master bedroom is full of thoughtful touches. Lie back on the king-size bed and look to the ceiling: you’ll notice the lucky horseshoe fixed up above you, this came from the original front door of the cottage! The ensuite shower room has a walk-in shower, WC, wash basin and adorable little cubby holes for storage. This room has a fabulous view of the church and the cottage’s Rose Terrace below. The elegant converted gas streetlamp just outside the entrance to the churchyard adds a romantic glow to the Rose Terrace at night, and if you leave your windows open on a summer evening you will enjoy the scent of the roses in the bedroom! Outside Garden The garden of Church Cottage will take you completely by surprise. You will notice hints of what’s to come through the garden gate in the pretty raised border in the parking area. As well as providing complete privacy from Lawrence Lane and public view it is also totally secure garden, making it a wonderful place for children to play. As the cottage is south facing, the garden really benefits from the summer sun. It has fantastic views of the Church, and the most beautiful blooms of flowers along the long high stone wall during the spring and summer months. Plenty of outdoor seating is provided, including two benches, two chairs and a table, and a further bench tucked under an arch covered with clematis and roses. Please note: The ‘garden house’ at the near end of the garden is locked and not for guests’ use. However, guests are welcome to use the veranda and the chairs. If you smoke, then this is a good covered smoking area – with a perfect view of the Church. Rose Terrace At the end of the house closest to the Church, you will find the walled, sheltered and sunny Rose Terrace, accessed from the dining room or the side gate in the garden. This beautiful paved space is a real sun trap, and wonderful for al fresco dining, with an outdoor dining table that seats six, as well as a bench. Relax in this private paradise as you sit amongst the flourishing roses, ancient holly tree, and an apple tree that is probably older than the cottage itself! (Make the most of the sun in this area by using the retractable washing line fixed next to the door from the garden to dry your laundry!) Shed in parking area Opposite the red front door, you will see a small lockable shed. This is where the outdoor bins are kept. It also has some hooks - great for suitcase storage - and it is a good place for deliveries to be left. The key to the shed hangs on the overhead hooks in the kitchen entrance.
Although tucked away down a peaceful lane, Church Cottage is the perfect location for exploring Burford and the wider Cotswolds. In just a few paces you will find yourself at the bottom of the famous High Street of Burford, perfect for exploring everything that this stunning medieval market town has to offer. The excellent Co-Operative supermarket is a three-minute walk from the cottage and stocks all immediate shopping requirements, with a great wine selection. It’s open 7am – 10pm every day of the week. There are some great cafés in Burford, if you turn left out of Church Cottage and head towards the Church, you will discover the newly built Warwick Hall and café, ideal for a morning coffee and snacks. Another good spot for a reviving cup of coffee or tea is Linwoods on the High Street, where you can also buy delicious local artisan-made Sourdough bread. If you walk towards the main car park from Church Cottage you will cross the mill-race connecting to the charming River Windrush that meanders through the Cotswolds, a lovely spot to feed the ducks and swans! Burford used to be a major coaching town between London and the West Country and was home to 35 coaching inns! The town still retains 13 pubs, all within walking distance of the cottage, of which our favourites are ‘The Angel’, a very good gastropub, and ‘The Highway’. There’s also a great variety of specialist shops to explore and a visit to the fascinating Tolsey Museum. If you fancy exploring a bit further afield, Witney is an easy 10-mile drive east towards Oxford, and has a great array of high street shops, larger supermarkets such as M&S, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s, eateries and a modern cinema complex. Also, around 10 miles away is the renowned Daylesford Organic Farm in Kingham, a farm complex that offers a farm shop, restaurant, spa as well as other activities such as farm tours and cooking courses. See the Burford Guidebook for further information.
  • Stunning home. Great charm. Brilliant location. Loved the sounds of the church bells. The coffee and biscuits on arrival. Spotless. Wonderful outdoor space - all enclosed - so very safe for our toddler to run around. Charming hidden parts of the garden too. Only negative comment would be the sofas. Not comfy at all. Can feel the wood through the cushions. But a really lovely stay and would definitely come back!

  • An immaculate place to stay, warm and cosy, great location with lots of space. Perfect for the family.

  • The Church Cottage was perfect! We spent the first part of our trip in England exploring the Cotswolds, and staying in Burford was a great decision. It was central to everything and the town itself was great to explore. The cottage is located right off of the main street through town and incredibly close to restaurants, pubs and shops. The Church Cottage itself fit our family of five well (two parents, 1 adult child, 1 teenager, 1 child). We didn't spend a lot of down time at the house as we were out most of every day, but the house was comfortable and charming, and had all the amenities of home. It was a great space to explore and we loved the proximity to everything!

Planters Studio is a delightful countryside retreat, its 1st floor galleried bedroom & bathroom has an exceptionally comfortable cast iron 4-poster double bed within an oak framed roof - certainly romantic, light and airy. Downstairs is a modern fully equipped kitchen, eating and sitting area including a sofa bed. A Welcome Pack is provided. The Studio has its own front door, patio garden & BBQ, with off road parking. A cot is available on request. Dogs/pets are welcome - charge £5/night/pet.
Guests regularly comment in our guest book that the Studio is comfortable, very well furnished and equipped. The Studio is private and, only if needed, we are near bye to help in any way. The Studio is in a 'Golden Triangle' of rolling Cotswold, largely organic, farmland & countryside. Footpaths, from the Studio, flow directly cross-country into gorgeous villages of Cotswold stone and narrow country lanes or minor roads lead further afield for trips by car to pretty country towns and villages.
This part of the Cotswolds we love particularly because it remains very largely working organic farmland rather than a recognised Cotswold destination - like Burford. The near bye villages without exception are all very attractive, most have a pub that serves food from good to restaurant standard. There is a network of footpaths linking the villages. We are happy to recommend our current favourite restaurants and other places or activities of interest.
  • Highly recommend this diamond of a place to stay . It is a true hidden gem, which is highly recommended. All the touches of home and great style !!

  • Dougy's and Jackie's studio (much bigger than you would think) was perfect for a relaxed base in the Cotswolds. From the birds feeding just outside the door to the well equipped kitchen, meaning you could easily eat in and out. My travelling partner said the four poster bed was one of the best nights sleeps she has had. All in all, a little piece of paradise just 90 mins from London!

Whilst we only stayed for 2 nights, we had a fabulous time in the Cotswolds. Dougy and Jackie are very kind and good hosts. Everything you need is included - basics in the fridge for a nice breakfast the following morning, books and guides to help guide you around and a lovely presented studio, with a great close view of the bird table outside your window - oh and a very comfy bed! Thanks Dougy and Jackie and hope to see you both and chutney in the future again.

  • Rayma's place in Burford is a beautiful 500 years old home. The Airbnb space you get will be the top floor which consists of a bed room, a living/dining space where you have seating facilities and also microwave, mini fridge and cutlery and your own bathroom. There is also a provision for tea and coffee provided. The bed is cozy and comfy and the room is maintained warm during winters. In the bath space, you get fresh towels, soap and shampoo. Though Breakfast is not provided we have many options to eat out. Trevor and Rayma are very kind and would do everything possible to make your stay memorable. I would mark this as a rare find.

Burford is twenty miles west of Oxford and is considered the southern gateway to the Cotswolds. It is a beautiful old Cotswold town, famous for its sloping High Street, which runs down from the high Wolds, with beautiful views over the open countryside, to the willow fringed River Windrush, in the pretty Windrush valley. A fine three arched medieval bridge crosses the river at the foot of the hill. In Anglo-Saxon times, Burford was the site of a fortified ford on the river Windrush. The town grew to be an important crossroads and a wealthy wool town, which is very popular with visitors today. The broad main street is lined with dignified old houses, ancient cottages and many shops, all of which appear little changed since Tudor times, as witnessed by the precarious angles the buildings have come to rest at. There are wonderful little side streets to explore, as well as many old pubs, cafes and antique shops. The 15th century parish church of St. John Baptist is magnificent and is another sign of the wealth that the wool trade generated for the town. Food & Drink Burford has numerous places to eat and drink, with a range of cuisines and prices to suit most tastes and budgets. The list below is a small sample of the range of options available: The Bull at Burford (www.bullatburford.co.uk): The Brasserie at the Bull at Burford is a gourmet delight. According to the seasons, specialties range from the chefs homemade pork terrine or Asian seafood stew for starters to hanging kebab skewer specials to medallions of venison. Of the desserts the trio of caramel and the seasonal Eton mess are already a favourite on the menu. Since opening in June 2010, the Brasserie has been given 2 AA rosettes for Culinary Excellence and a special AA Breakfast Award; The Mermaid (www.themermaidburford.co.uk): Spanning two floors, this charming and charismatic restaurant maintains the original 18th century architecture, complete with traditional stone features and fireplaces, and old wooden beams and fittings. If you're a fan of intimate dining, you'll love the candlelit atmosphere upstairs, whilst there is also a conservatory area perfect for large families, and additional space in the general bar area. A varied menu is offered in the restaurant, with homemade food to suit all preferences and dietary persuasions. The award-winning bar has a range of excellent beers and local ales. Three real ales are always available, along with a changing guest ale.

  • A great base for exploring the Cotswolds. Cosy-yet-spacious, spotless and good value - plus Amy is a helpful and responsive host. Recommended!

  • Amy's place was just what we needed for a break in the Cotswolds. 5 mins from Bourton, we were well placed to discover as many towns as we could. Living area is very spacious and amenities are great. No issues throughout. Only thing was I couldn't find a hairdryer, but no problem.

    Charlotte2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • A great base to get to all the Cotswold hotspots

Perfect location to explore the Cotswolds. The cottage is next to the main house and set in a 10 acre garden and fields beyond for dog walks. Stunning views. Warm cozy cottage in winter and plenty of sun traps in the summer. Sleeps 4 but we have a camp bed for families of 5. Plenty of parking.
This cottage is convenient for Cheltenham races, Blenheim Palace, Cotswold Farm Park, Cotswold Wildlife Park and many other local attractions.
We are surrounded by beuatiful Cotswold countryside with pretty towns to explore.
  • We had such a lovely stay here. The cottage is clean and comfortable, and such a great location. We stayed with 2 young kids (1 and 3), and it was great that Victoria was able to provide a highchair and cot to save us taking them with us. Being able to explore the large garden was a real treat for the kids (despite the weather!). We will definitely be back

  • Lovely accommodation with great amenities and thoughtful touches. Lots to do around and about very dog friendly area ! Hosts perfect there if you needed help but not too much. We will be back

  • The cottage is so beautiful, outside as inside, on beautiful grounds, and the location is central and perfect for a visit of the Cotswolds. Our host was present when we arrived and made us feel welcomed. Nice touches on arrival with everything for a nice cup of tea and biscuits! Inside is clean, well equipped kitchen, house very clean and warm, enough hot water. Accurate description of the cottage, and directions to get there. Lots of local tips given. I would recommend staying there. Many thanks for a nice stay!

  • My family and I stayed at Far Hill Cottage back in April 2018, and we loved it so much that we came back again in February (despite our aim of always going somewhere different!). The house was perfect for us and our children (4 and 7), and the setting is just perfect. We loved the choice of setting off from the house for a little explore, or hopping in the car to go to nearby places. The house is well equipped and super clean.

    Catherine2019-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and nice cottage with plenty of things to see nearby. The place is really warm and well equiped. The only issue we had was to find the cottage by night..a small light would be perfect

    Flo2019-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, spacious accommodation with everything you need and in a great location to explore the Cotswolds. At Victoria’s, you feel like you’re tucked away in the country while only a short drive from anywhere you want to be!

    Katherine2018-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • It was the perfect space for our five nights in The Cotswolds with our 2 children (a 3 year old and 3 month old). The baby cot fit in our bedroom just fine, and our other child enjoyed her own room with a twin bed. A very clean and conveniently located cottage! If you need things to do, Victoria has a wonderfully long list to share with you. We kept busy, frequently visiting Burton on the Water and Stow on the Wold. Quick access to grocery and restaurants. We were a bit jet lagged and so everything closes a bit “early” (either 4 or 5pm) for our liking. But we made a few dinners in the updated kitchen. Overall, very happy with our clean and cozy cottage!

    Michelle2018-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed for four nights at the start of December. Fantastic hospitality and location with lots of places to walk and eat nearby. Great WiFi connection in the cottage and a big choice of films to watch on the TV ensured I had a great stay!

  • Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Was nice to be in the middle of no where. Was a lot of bugs but that was to be expected next to a river. Take some spray with you! Was perfect for just a few nights. We walked into the nearest town which took around 40mins. Was a nice walk!

    Claire2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • The bell tent is in a perfect location, completely secluded yet close to beautiful towns. We enjoyed the great amenities, especially a hot shower. We had an amazing time and the dogs loved it. We will definitely be back.

    Bethany2019-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely couple of days in the Poplar Patch. Would gladly recommend and stay again ourselves. I think the dog had a best time out of all of us. Having his own stream to swim in? Heaven! Burford is a lovely town with great places to eat and drink.

    Alexander2019-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is everything you want from glamping and more! It’s a peaceful site, yet only a few minutes drive from lovely villages and towns. It’s in a beautiful setting, in its own little meadow with a river at the bottom -which the dogs absolutely loved, as did we. The outdoor shower is great - and hot too. The kitchen and fire pit provided are just what you need. We can’t fault The Poplar Patch and will definitely return. (I’ve already recommended it to friends with dogs and they’ve booked!) Thanks for an amazing break in The Cotswolds :)

    Kat2019-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • The bell tent is in a truly magical location, if the weather had been nicer we definitely would have taken a dip in the stream! And to have a real bed in the tent was a big treat. The marshmallows were also a nice touch, we loved toasting them on the fire in total peace and quiet, just the sound of nature around us. We hope to be back! Thank you again Charlotte

    Jane2019-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a magical little spot. Forget your urban trappings this is a wild idyll. Perfect escape retreat.

    Benjamin2019-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location, perfect place to enjoy nature with kids and dogs. Charlotte quickly responded each time we had a question. We loved cooking on the fire, having hot showers and listening to the birdsongs. We would definitely come back.

The Pavilion has unrivalled views of the beautiful rolling countryside. Full-length french windows running the length of the property afford a 180 degree panorama of farmland and woods stretching five miles in every direction. The bucolic setting is second to none: although on the edge of a quintessential Cotswold village, here you will feel at one with nature, away from it all. Built in the 1990s in a style reminiscent of the colonial era, the Pavilion was, until recently, a writer's retreat. The interior has been refurbished to the highest standard by designer Susie Stocks, whose restful palette complements the landscape beyond. There is a verandah along its southern side, with a private decked area with lawn at one end and a patio the other. The fields beyond are 'Footpath Central', where it is not unusual to happen upon deer. This holiday cottage at a glance Sleeps two guests. A studio space with a separate tiled shower room. All accommodation is on the ground floor. Wood burning stove. Lawned garden. Allocated parking in shared drive for one vehicle (and a second by prior arrangement). Sorry, no pets. A small baby in own moses basket is welcome. WiFi. Minimum of a two night stay. Additional features Ideal for a Romantic Retreat. Beech strip flooring. Electric heating. Fridge with freezer compartment. 32-inch flat screen TV with Sky (Sky sports included) and DVD, WiFi. Deluxe sun loungers and outdoor dining furniture. Attractions and nearby amenities Within 10 minutes' drive are a host of top quality pubs, including the Feathered Nest in Westcote, the Plough in Kingham and the Kings Head in Bledington. • Alex is very knowledgable about the local area and I found her pre visit info packs extremely useful!

  • Alex was super fast with responses and we loved using the Annexe for a few days. Very quiet, incredibly comfy bed and everything you need in terms of amenities - feels really private too. Particularly good for anyone looking to have a base outside of the more touristy villages!

    Ed2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Alex. everything was neat and tidy. You were very prompt in responding to our requests. House was clean and perfectly located. Got a little lost with directions, but we made it.

    Hasmik2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Alexandra is a fantastic host! She is friendly, helpful and had clearly though out everything one could need on a trip. Providing shampoo, conditioner, tooth paste and even make up remover! All the things I tend to forget. The place is beautiful and nice and cosy with the heater on.

    Joanna2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • If AIRBNB wanted to find the model host/ hostess, then Alexandra would be our nominee, bar none. Over the 15 years of staying in AIRBNB apartments, all over the world, we will never forget the warmth and generous way that Alex and Bruno treated us. From helping us (as seniors) with our suitcases, to offering assistance with transport to dinner (after our first day as Americans "driving on the wrong side of the road"), we could not have meen more appreciative. Her roomy residence is extremely tastefully decorated, demonstrating the genuine desire she has to make her guests appreciate her concern. Extremely tasteful breakfast makings were provided so that we were able to leave early with full stomachs. But, we were sad to leave after only one night as Alexandra made us feel so welcome and we hugged and left for our tour around the Cotswolds. Whoops, I forgot to mention that Alex was an incredibly generous communicator with her numerous helpful suggestions by email. What a lady!!

  • The landlord is very hospitable and very happy. Locations can be found using google map location, don't have a flavor. Bathing hot water is limited, it is recommended to let your girlfriend take a bath first. Wait 20 minutes to re-boil water.

    Jian2018-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the stable end annex was amazing! We where there for our friends wedding at Stone Barn. it's about the closest place you can stay to Stone Barn (15 min walk or 3 minute drive), which is great as Taxis can be difficult to arrange in the countryside (no uber). Alexandra was very accommodating and provided us with everything we could possibly need or want for our stay and was a truly friendly and fantastic host. She added some great personal touches, like leaving make up remover out for my fiancee for when we got back from the reception. helped us out as a friend (a groomsman) had an issue with there hotel booking so let him stay on the pull out sofa and provided extra blankets and toppers etc for it. the annexe itself was emaculately clean and welcoming. plenty of bits for the continental breakfast in the morning and she was even so kind as to give us an extra hour to lay in before checkout so we could have more time to recover the evenings celebrating. I would defenately recommend staying here if you are going to be in the area, and it will certainly be my first choice should I be.

    William2018-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Ideal location for our party attending a wedding at the stone barn. Spotlessly clean, super comfy bed, had everything we needed & more. Communication from Alex was excellent. She couldn’t of been more helpful. Would certainly recommend Alex & her place!

The Granary is part of The Great Barns at Macaroni Farm which were built in the 1700's. Macaroni Farm is a family run, organic farm situated in the heart of the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Guests staying here can enjoy the many footpaths, and walk across fields to the historic village of Eastleach. The Granary is a beautifully authentic barn conversion which retains the feel of the original grain store it once was, with exposed beams, stone and stable dividers upstairs.
The ground floor consists of a large, stone floored open plan living room/kitchen, with electric wood burner. The entrance hall is spacious with a WC under the stairs, that leads up to the bathroom, twin room , and master bedroom. All beds are comfortable Loaf beds. The master bedroom has a super king size bed and its' own WC and basin. Guests would need to walk through the twin to get to the master room, which could also be used as a dressing room for couples who wished to stay.
The historic village of Eastleach is a short walk across the fields from The Granary which also boasts the very popular 'Queen Victoria' pub. We are on the edge of the Coln Valley famous for its' beautiful walks. There are 5 wonderful pubs within a 10 minute radius of the farm, while the villages of Bibury, Burford, Fairford, Lechlade and Cirencester are close by and easy to explore from us. Fairford and Lechlade both have a 'Lynwoods' café which are infamous for their delicious coffee, sourdough and breakfasts.
  • A beautifully appointed barn conversion. A really special place to stay.

  • Very comfortable stay with our toddler. Lovely place to stay. Modern and spacious. Liza was very accomodating and great at responding to messages. She kindly left us some milk, eggs and crossaints to start off our stay. Beds were very comfortable. Thanks for a lovely little break.

  • The Granary is an absolute gem. My friends and I had an amazingly peaceful time at the cottage for our get away. It is very quiet but also only a few minutes drive away from the classic charming villages of Cotswolds with good pubs around, offers beautiful walks and Liza the host was so quick to respond (we didn’t have the bin liners), you would never feel too far away. The place is spacious, tastefully decorated and sparkling clean. And the beds are super comfortable with the amazing down duvets that makes you feel like you’re floating in the clouds. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

    Tania2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible stay at The Granary. It’s the perfect location for a weekend getaway in the country with beautiful walks, pubs and the English countryside right on its doorstep. Liza was so helpful at recommending local attractions and her attention to detail in the house is amazing. We will definitely be coming back!!

    Victoria2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, the Cotswolds are amazing, its absolutely stunning here. It is beautiful English Countryside in the forest. It was exactly what I was hoping to see. Beautiful home in a beautiful location, near cute medieval villages, and even palaces not too far away. We went as a family, and spent a day shopping in near by Burford, and Bourton on the Water, and visiting Blenheim Palace. The home is neat and well equipped, with oodles of space. Its styled well and lit well through out, with very good black out curtains on the sleeping floor. Bathrooms a plenty (such an awesome luxury.) We only spent 2 nights at The Granary but we would've happily have stayed for 2 weeks or more. There was so much to see and do in the area. The home has excellent wifi, and a washing machine that also can dry. The only small negative is its under a flight path, planes fly by quite frequently but do eventually stop overnight. I would recommend staying here to anyone. Its an absolutely amazing Airbnb, and worth every penny. I loved it.

We only wish we could have stayed longer! Will be sure to recommend Malc & Tina’s place to our friends and family! Thank you again for having us.

  • Malc and Tina are doing a great job to ensure their guests have an enjoyable stay. All these small things which make you feel welcome. The flat is right on the High street, but because it's deeper inside, you can hardly hear any noise. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything we could think of: just get all the delicious stuff from the Delicatessen and cook (make sure you leave everything clean and tidy as you'll probably find it). Bathroom is warm, spotless, has all the toiletries. All in all, we enjoyed our stay a lot, and one night is certainly not enough there. Hope to come back for a long weekend one day. Thank you both!

    Konstantin2020-02-14T00:00:00Z

  • This is possibly the best bed & breakfast I have ever stayed in. I only stayed for one night but instantly wanted to stay for longer. The house & gardens are beautiful - a real feast for the senses. The rooms are picture perfect and super comfortable. The whole place was spotless. The attention to detail & finishing touches were faultless. Michael is a first class host, he gave us a tour of the house & gardens on arrival, explained where everything was & how everything worked. He was full of recommendations for restaurants & shops in Burford & the surrounding area. Greyhounds is a real treat & I am booking a return visit ASAP.

  • The Greyhound Inn is a little piece of paradise situated in the gorgeous town of Burford... a perfect location from which to explore the Cotswolds. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and Michael’s hospitality was warm and considerate. The home is truly beautiful, with absolutely every corner decorated with objects to admire! The gardens are amazing and our room was delightful.... full of thoughtful creature comforts. We loved the cozy four poster bed with soft linen and down, the sparkling clean bathroom and the perfume of the freshly cut flowers. It was definitely our favourite stay after a month travelling the UK and can’t recommend more highly enough.
