The appartment is really nice. The pool and the yard are great.

We had a very nice stay at the cottage. The pool was great and the view was amazing. It's a really good place if you like to relax. It's really quiet and you can see a lot of different birds flying over. You should definitly do a ride around the lake, there you will find a lot of spots where you can watch over the whole lake and its animals. At the other side of the lake you can find a beatiful monestary (+- 30' drive). The house had everything we needed, also enough cooking material (maybe just a pan that's missing there). The nearest big shop is approximatly 30 minutes away. Lithotopos is rather small and doesn't have any shops. They do have nice and cheap restaurants close to the house. A very well equipped home with a beautiful pool and barbecue area. Lovely views of Lake Kerkini. Highly recommended if you like peace and quiet. Lake Kerkini is a fascinating area with interesting bird life. We hope to visit again!

Elpida and her family were extremely welcoming and great hosts. The apartment is clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The pool was lovely and we were given pool towels. There is a lovely garden with table and chairs and a bar seating area. This is a very good place to stay and we can really recommend it.

The house is beautiful, clean, and Maria makes every morning a breakfast for her guests. That was a surprise. We were in september at het house. It was quit that time. In the night you only hear a dog or a donky making noise. There is a good local restaurant in the neighbourhood. The lake area is beatiful.

The park is very well located, near the small port. The room we stayed was clean, comfortable and warm (from temperatures, and disposal). Maria is genial, welcoming and willing to help in whatever you need. Very good price / quality ratio.

It is a beautiful place in a quiet village only 10 minutes from Kilkis city center. The house is big with separate rooms, that can accommodate families or 2-3 couple of people. The garden is also big with beautiful terraces and barbeque. It is the right place for parties. You can also use firestone. There are a lot of woods. The people who live in the village are very friendly and hospitable. Christos and Maria are very friendly and they gave us information about all we needed. We will visit you again with our friends.

A wonderful place to really relax!

The house is as in the pictures and the best. Fully equipped, with excellent cleanliness and very cool. The area is very quiet very close to Kilkis. I suggest it without a second thought and will definitely be our first choice for staying in the area.

We loved Christos and Maria's home. Communication was superb and the house, garden and surroundings were wonderful, beyond what we expected. The neighbours were so welcoming and helpful too. We only wish we could have stayed longer than two nights. Everything was clean and well thought out and ample sleeping arrangements for all five of us. Lots of places to sit in the garden, cool bedrooms downstairs, air conditioning and our youngest son, 9 years, enjoyed the football area in the garden and the lego figures. It would be a great place to stay for a longer holiday rather than a stop over.

Our stay at home was one of the best experiences we had. The house is clean and has what it takes to stay in it. As far as its location is concerned, it is very good, that it is for those who want to escape for a few days in nature and having peace. The hosts are very kind, friendly and helpful. Thalia is a very warm and hospitable person. The house is clean and tidy with a lot of little beautiful and usefull stuff. And there is also the rich garden full with various plants, nice smelling herbs and fruit trees. A perfect place for quite and relaxing holiday.

Very comfortable apartment. That a small fruit basket was waiting for me when I arrived was very attentive. The apartment was clean, tidy and I could immediately feel at home. Very good owner Mr. Panagiotis and very hospitable people. Mr Panagiotis was very quick to respond to the messages, while Mr Theodora's mother was very friendly and helpful in showing us the apartment as well as the location around. I am extremely happy with them at all levels and if I go back to the area I know where to close again.

The village is beautiful, and the house is located so that we had a wonderful view from the porch. The whole appartment at the second floor was for us, well equipped. Evangelia was very friendly, and so was her mom who treated us with a pie that she baked, and fruits.. The recommendations that Evangelia gave us, were excellent

Beautiful and clean space. Basically those who have homes in the village will go straight into the climate as they are like our grandmothers' houses in the early 90's (upholstery sofas, curtains and furniture). There is calm and in general I don't think you can be bothered by something. Granny on the ground floor is excellent and very discreet and in the morning she can bring you some breakfast and coffee. Very basic is that it has internet I recommend it to those looking for a place reminiscent of a village

This was our first time in this part of Greece. We came in January and the weather was not good. However the house was really warm and cosy. We were greeted by Evangelia and made to feel very welcome, providing us with a small meal on our arrival and then some breakfast in the morning. This wasn’t expected, she just wanted to make us welcome. The house has fast Wi-fi. Easy parking at the rear of the house. Everything you need is provided, even some helpful tips on places to visit. Totally recommend her house.

We came to the area to honour Clive's Great-Uncle Victor who lost his life in First World War - Salonika Campaign. Litsa's accommodation was perfect for us. She had it all looking lovely and we had all we needed. The flowers, chocolates and other treats were a wonderful welcome. Litsa and her mom were there to greet me when I arrived. I stayed in her mom's apartment which is very elegantly decorated and so it definitely had everything I needed. Lovely little village above Lake Kerkini and the fall colors and countryside are spectacular. Flamingos! I am not a true birder but this is the place to come for birding. The village is not right on the lake but you can reach various sites in half an hour drive. You will have to do that in any case. Beautiful view from the terrace. Recommended.

A great experience of a traditional village and home. The location is a short walk from the beautiful square and taverna's and shops. Would highly recommend.

In one word: PERFECT!!! Litsa and her mother are such nice and welcoming persons! We felt like we were spending a week with our family! The flat is clean, well located, and very comfortable. The terrasse is so nice and there is a beautiful view on the montains. Ano Poroia is such a nice village with a lot of shops (bars, supermarkets, pharmacy, bakeries and tavernas where the food is amazing)! We did not only meet a host but really a special friend!!!!

This pleasant property is on the upper floor with partial views from the balcony of the lake about 900m away. It is spacious and air conditioned; each bedroom has its own bathroom. We were met by the host's partner, but Vaggelis himself was regularly in touch with local recommendations. There are two mini markets 50m away. The kitchen could be a little better equipped for self catering (no chopping boards for example) but is otherwise fine. We particularly liked the firm mattresses and the walking access to the Mandraki harbour, a peaceful spot to view birdlife on the lake.

A superb place to stay! Zidoron House is a perfect base from which to explore Lake Kerkini and the surrounding mountains following a 1. 5hour pleasant drive from Thessaloniki airport. The house itself is very spacious and was spotlessly clean on arrival, fully air-conditioned throughout with several balconies and outdoor seating areas with views of the mountains and down to the lake. There is a large lounge and dining area with a range of well-equipped kitchen units. You can walk down to the harbour at Mandraki within 15 minutes (well worth getting up at 5.30am to watch the sun rise over the lake and mountains) and there are all the usual amenities located very close by. There are plenty of Tavernas within all the surrounding villages, Taverna Irini in Akritochori and the old Station House in Vironia are well worth a visit. The village of Mandraki and the surrounding villages and roads are quiet, everywhere we went we found the local people very friendly and helpful. It's a perfect area to stay in if you want to escape to the peace and tranquility of the countryside and ideal also for the wildlife enthusiast with a vast amount of birds, butterflies, plants and flowers to see and photograph. Watch out for tortoises and snakes crossing the roads! Also recommend a boat trip on the lake (we went at dawn and watched the sun rise over the lakes and mountains and had some lovely close encounters with the Pelicans), and horse-riding in the nearby village of Korifoudi. Vaggelisi is an excellent host, he kept in touch and responded very quickly with information about our booking prior to arrival, and provided us with a very warm and friendly welcome. He was very flexible on arrival and departure times - we were able to check-in early and check-out much later than advertised as we had a late evening flight which enabled us to make the most of our time in Mandraki. Vaggelis provided us with lots of information about places to visit, and also supplied us with fresh eggs and local produce throughout our stay. We had a minor issue with one of the air conditioning units not working properly in one of the bedrooms however Vaggelis responded very quickly and this didn't cause us any major problems as we were able to use one of the other bedrooms. He also kept in touch with us throughout our two weeks to check if we wanted clean bedlinen etc. and to check that everything was OK for us. It's the sort of place where you should feel very much at home very soon after arrival. Would certainly recommend and hope to go back there again some time in the future.

A lovely place and Vaggelis is immensely helpful. All spotlessly clean and with plenty of amenities. Nice little local shop too. This part of Greece is fantastic and the birdlife on the lake well worth seeing in close-up on a boat trip. Exceptional photographic opportunities too. The mountains and great and there are many off-road tracks to explore. Lovely tavernas in Aktriochori and Fort Roupel is well worth a visit. All less than a 1.5 hour drive from Thessaloniki airport with cheap flights from UK.

Great location, nice apartment!

The house is very Nice. Every room has a private bathroom. The beds are Good. The house has a personal touch. IT is very clean. The kitchen is well equiped. Vaggelis is very responsive on textmassages and solved some minor details while we were there very quickly. A 1 minute walk to a minisupermarket. A 2 minute walk to a bar/taverne. A 5 minute walk to the lake. Excellent stay!

Even in a country as beautiful as Greece, Ixnilatis and Kerkini take your breath away. The rooms at Ixnilatis are lovely, clean, and spacious, the place itself is fantastic - the first time in years I could really see the Milky Way in great detail! Give yourself a few days to fully take in the experience & partake at least of some of the activities, be it walks, riding, or exploring the lake. There are eateries nearby - I heartily recommend Elodia, an hour's walk away along the lake shore (or a few minutes by car) - go to chill by a shady pond visited by nutria. Many thanks to Thodoros & his team, who were incredibly hospitable and accommodating. Make sure to ask Thodoros for precise directions - the current details are slightly imprecise and leave you a few kilometers short of your destination.

Absolutely excellent place for anybody looking for a relaxing holiday close to nature! Various possibilities for outdoor activities such as going with the boat and horse riding.

Charming farm in a stunning location next to lake Kerkini. Thodoris, the host, is incredibly knowledgeable about the region and always eager to share. A must-visit!

If you want to dive deep into Northern Greece's nature, that's the place. The farm is conveniently located between the lake and the mountain, the apartments are clean and provide all the necessary amenities. What you'll probably love the most though are the outdoor activities.

Perfect stay, place and location, we highly recommend it. As the owner says in response to another review, the map location given by AirBnB is wrong, but you find it by its name on Google Maps.

The ranch on the kerkinisee was a huge highlight in our Greece holiday. You are surrounded by breathtaking nature, water buffaloes, pelicans and more. The breakfast, the hospitality and the accommodation were perfect. The best thing was the two long rides. As an experienced rider I had the opportunity to make a much faster ride with the owner alone through the horses and buffalo herds and along the lake it was indescribably beautiful! Really recommended !!! :-)

We arrived late to the accomodation, but our hosts were waiting for us even at that late hour and told us all the information about the house. They are very friendly, kind and helpful people. They also helped us immediately when we had problem with our car and thanks to their help we managed to continue our trip. The house is awesome, spacious, bright and clean. The neighborhood is quiet and nice. We were very happy to stay in Kerkini, we spent a great day there. Extremely recommended place to stay.
