The Hideaway At Kilbride Farm.

The Hideaway is close to the beach and a 10 minute drive from the village, in a rural location. It is a self contained annex attached to the owners accommodation. It has one bedroom with a super king sized bed in it and space to erect a Z bed for a child, a large bathroom and a lounge with a kitchenette that has a 4 ring hob, and a combi microwave/convection oven. In the lounge area there is a double sofa bed. We feel that it is best suited to up to 3 adults or couples with up to 2 children.

The accommodation provides a bright and airy living area on the upper floor with scenic views to the south across the Firth of Clyde to the Cumbrae Isles. Originally housing those working at the gunpowder works, number 10 is a cosy, well equipped, upper flat with a wood burner in the kitchen/ living room. A comfortable king-sized bed awaits in the bedroom. A compact shower room completes the accommodation. A comfortable base to explore this beautiful area, you are only a stones throw from the local village shop, a restaurant and hotel.

Maida's cottage is situated on the edge of the village of Ford, close to Loch Ederline. There is a private driveway to the cottage with a farm gate to keep the sheep on the hill. There is ample parking and a gated/fenced private garden. Although on the edge of the village, Maida's cottage feels remote with a rather stunning backdrop. There are many hills to walk. There is no TV or WiFi, this is a cosy getaway from hectic lives so sit back and enjoy the log fire with a good book.
