The Riverside cabin is a truly hand-built home, made with love from the woodland that surrounds it.. A rustic Cornish getaway, only 15 minutes from Falmouth. With the sound of the wind in the leaves, the tinkling water and the crackling fire to relax you. We hope you will have a wonderfully memorable time.
The Cabin is set in a lovely woodland garden, with a firepit for outdoor cooking, swings and a stream to paddle in. It is situated next to a stream and woodland, near a quiet country road with great access to creeks, cliffs and beaches of Cornwall
The Cabin is just off a rural road between the thriving seaside/ harbour town of Falmouth, and the creeks and fishing villages of the Beautiful Helford River and the Lizard peninsula.
  • Loved every minute of it. Super cute and cosy. Great location for exploring surrounding Cornish towns!

  • One of the most beautiful spaces I have been fortunate enough to spend time in, ever. The craftsmanship is exquisite and the love that ben has for wood is palpable. The communication was swift and straightforward. It is really a magical place. It is closer to a (v quiet) road than I expected but everything else (wood burner, swings, fairy lights etc) made up for it.

  • A magnificent experience! Very authentic and humble place with all the essentials and more. If you want something magical look no further! We loved every moment, specially the outside shower and waking up to birds singing and a steam flowing.

  • It was an absolutely amazing, well needed break away. It was peaceful and tranquil and we had a very relaxing time ( which is total opposite at home). The weather was crisp and cold but with some sun. I loved the swing and the fire pit and the outdoor shower was a great touch, something I never thought I would enjoy but I did... the photo album showing how it was built and all the other items Ben can build was a lovely touch. It was for my fiance 30th birthday. We have recommended to friends and we hope to stay again sometime soon. Thank you so much.

  • Highly recommended! Excellent stay!

  • Beautiful little cabin very cosy and warm with fire! Shower would be perfect in summer but cold for winter months overall great place to stay!!

  • Exquisite getaway in the wilds of Cornwall, this cabin is an absolute must stay. Complete with log burning stove, outdoor fire pit and composting loo, this is really one for the outdoorsy adventurer who still loves a bit of home comfort. Suitable for couples or families, and with lots to do in the area with some great local pubs, cafes and attractions. Short drive to Trebah gardens, helford passage and the seal sanctuary at gweek to name a few. A perfect weekend, we didn’t want to leave. Thank you Ben x

With aged oak and natural tones the barn welcomes your tired feet to a stress and city-free escape. On the route between Falmouth and the Helford River, it comfortably fits a couple with a child.
This south facing barn offers year-round accommodation with self catering facilities for those who prefer an independent break. It comfortably accommodates 2 adults and a child; with a large double bedroom and small single room. (The bedrooms are within the pitch of the roof and may not be comfortable for someone over 6'2".) The spacious open plan kitchen/lounge has solid oak flooring and modern cooking facilities with more than adequate space for evenings in. The paneled bathroom is fitted with a shower, WC and basin, with a stone tiled floor and underfloor heating. The utility is fitted with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Guests will be provided with hand and bath towels along with a welcome pack including the essentials needed for self catering. We're willing to provide advice, so please don't hesitate to ask us recommendations for activities or restaurants. We live next to the barn and will be present most of the time.
Pennance Mill is a rural hamlet on the road between Falmouth and Mawnan Smith, with country walks and beaches nearby. It's only a short bus journey or taxi trip into Falmouth, which would cost no more than a few pounds.
  • Wonderful location, combining both quiet privacy with the convenience of a nearby beach and easy access to Falmouth and more. Very clean, suitably equipped for preparing, cooking and eating in with both adequate dining and relaxing space in the kitchen/diner/lounge. Comfy bed, roomy bathroom.....Even our fussy dog made himself comfortable.

  • Absolutely loved this cottage. Great location, walking distance to a lovely cove (with café, even in March). Other nice walks in the area. Rural but within easy reach of the amenities of Falmouth. Super clean and well equipped. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Very clean and comfortable space with all the amenities you need. A travel cot was kindly provided for our baby. Sharon and her husband were pleasant and friendly. The space was nicely decorated and close to Falmouth and many other Cornish attractions. Would stay again and would reccomend.

  • Had a lovely (if a touch wet and windy!) weekend stay, the place was perfect and cosy and had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend to anyone, such lovely surroundings and great hosts.

    Megan2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is lovely, really close to a small cove just outside of Falmouth. The host's where more than accommodating. There were plenty of toys for our daughter to play with which really helped when not on the beach. The cottage has really well sized rooms and perfect for a small family. it has great transport links and close to coastal walks too. N&K

    Neil2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Sharon’s place was perfect for our short work trip - being just down the road from where we needed to be. It was warm, welcoming and had everything we needed for a really comfortable stay. Sharon and hosts were not intrusive at all and left us to it which was great. We’d certainly try and book again if we are coming to the area again.

  • A great wee studio apartment in a fantastic location close to Jacob's Ladder steps right into the heart of Falmouth. Thoroughly recommend the apartment and David the host who although we didnt meet face-to-face arranged everything very professionally, would 100% stay here again.

    Rich2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Only downside to this place is that it's right at the top of Jacob's Ladder! Other than that, great space with everything we needed and more, so close to the town centre.

A stylishly furnished king-sized annex overlooking the garden with its own private entrance. The room is at the back of our Victorian townhouse and has its own ensuite shower room and a private parking space. It is located in central Falmouth close to the town centre, beaches, rail stations and some of the university campus buildings. It is ideal for couples, parents visiting their kids at university and business travellers. Please note there's no breakfast, only tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
The room and its ensuite are in an annex with its own private entrance through the garden. Guests are welcome to use the garden. Please note that there are no cooking facilities, but there is a small silent fridge. It is a quiet and comfortable space for a good nights sleep with its king-sized bed and blackout curtains. There is a private ensuite with walk in shower. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap and towels are provided. There is a 'storage corridor' with plenty of room to put suitcases etc and guests can hang clothes on hooks and hangers. There is a completely silent fridge, a DAB radio/bluetooth speaker next to the bed, and a desk to work at, or to sit and drink a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Please note that no breakfast is provided, but you are welcome to bring your own things to eat, or there are plenty of lovely cafes for breakfast in Falmouth close by.
The house is near the town centre, so there are a lot of great restaurants and some nice independent shops within easy walking distance, and a Tesco supermarket less than 5 mins walk into town. There are fab independent cafes called Espressini and Good Vibes Cafe close by which do great breakfasts and coffee, or there is a Wetherspoon pub/restaurant 2 mins walk into town which does a good full English breakfast for very little money. Or I can recommend Gylly Beach Cafe for breakfast - it is only 20 mins walk and literally on the beach!
  • Dominic and Stephanie were great hosts! The place was clean, warm and the bed mattress was great for a comfortable sleep. We had our privacy as they had promised in the description. Very close to Falmouth center within minutes walking distance. Close to bus and train station. Overall I definitely recommend it! Thank you!

    Olympia2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Dominic’s place was just as we expected; clean, stylish and in a superb location. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay :)

    Millie2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely accommodation, very clean and great location. We had a brief stay while visiting the University for my daughter. It was a perfect location & great to have parking too.

    Christine2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely private space located very conveniently to town. Thanks Dominic!

    Nora2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Dominic is a lovely person and very easy-going. The communication was so easy and personal, which was really nice. The space is very welcoming, with a touch of Scandinavian design, and there are some lovely touches such as fridge, blankets and decent sized mugs! The location is great for Falmouth town centre, but the local station is bit of a journey. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely, snug flat perfect for two guests looking to hide away somewhere in the middle of Falmouth, with gated parking and outside seating area overlooking the harbour.
Falmouth is well known for its waterside activities, and lively town vibe; and this flat gives great access to both. It's bang smack in the middle of the town, right on the water, and has the rarest of advantages in town - its own parking spot, which is inside a secure gated area. Newly refurbished, it's clean, warm and comfortable, but also (hopefully) tastefully kitted out with some home comforts. For sunny days, you won't be found wanting for access to any number of activities, safe in the knowledge that your car doesn't need to move after x number of hours. Regular activities on the main town squares are within easy walking distance, boat trips from the pier are on your doorstep, and the ferry to St Mawes less than 100 metres away. For rainy days, there's the telly with access to Sky...plus a variety of board games...and a PS3 with some old school classics...not to mention the bookshelf...or DVDs. Lastly, I do love a good coffee, so there's a nice Nespresso machine here to be used.
Falmouth is a year-round vibrant town, unique to Cornwall in that there is the omnipresent university crowd who give the area its energy. Three great beaches, countless good eateries, river cruises, fishing trips, walking routes of any length, pubs-a-plenty, and near to any number of days out...this town really is a great centre to a south Cornwall break.
  • Lovely modern apartment, located by ferry pier with views over estuary. Convenient for town/shops, National Maritime Museum, Pendennis castle, St Mawes castle (by ferry). Secure parking a bonus.

    Peter2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Don’t be put off by having to access this place via a very basic staircase; the flat itself is a delight. It is clean, modern, spacious, and contains everything you need for an enjoyable stay. There is an excellent view over the pier, and the central location means that all amenities of the town are on the doorstep. Whilst the location also means that it can get quite noisy, particularly at closing time - keep the front window fully closed, and the noise isn’t a problem. Steve gives clear and comprehensive instructions for access to the car park and the flat, and has provided many thoughtful touches to help to make an enjoyable stay. We hope to return soon.

    John2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • A great location in the heart of Falmouth. We could see the sea from the sofa - we hadn't expected that. The host did everything he could to make us comfortable. We really enjoyed our short stay.

    Maura2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous flat in a great location. Steve is very communicative and there are some really thoughtful touches in the apartment. I would definitely look to use it again for future visits to my daughter whilst she’s at uni there.

    Pippa2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Really great place, location and views and comfy sofa! Thanks for the ear buds too it was a bit noisy Saturday night but we wouldn’t have swapped staying as close to town as we were! Honestly the location really made our trip and the secure parking was great! We walked through town each evening and we didn’t have to drive anywhere! The recommendation for the pub for Sunday carvery was excellent! In fact one of the best parts of our trip! Milk, butter and coffee was a really nice touch and made it perfect for when we arrived ! Even though weather was bad all weekend there was a window of sunshine this morning and we had the perfect breakfast on the deck with that view ! TV was spot on especially having sky plus and PS 3, so we could watch Netflix!

    Lisa2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • The flat was an amazing base to explore not only Falmouth but also Cornwall. It was the perfect place to warm up after a blustery day out and also to enjoy quiet evenings in. The location is perfect, with easy access to a whole host of places to eat and drink, and the flat itself was well equipped and extremely comfortable! Steve was an excellent host - the best we have ever had staying in an Airbnb and sorted out any queries we had quickly! We could not recommend this place more!

    Lucy2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay and Steve was very helpful

    Charlotte2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at Steve's beautiful apartment in a short space of time, as we loved it so much last time! Its a wonderful location with amazing views either side and is perfect for relaxing or exploring the local area. It's spotlessly clean with great amenities - can't recommend it enough :)

Awaken in a bright, cheerful space with views of a quaint village from first floor windows. A cottage-like feel is created by painted wood panelling and traditional furnishings designed for comfort. Have breakfast at table nestled under a skylight.
Situated in a peaceful Cornish village, Little Anvil occupies a central position (both the north and south coast are within easy reach) ideal for exploring beautiful West Cornwall. A newly converted first-floor apartment which forms part of the owners 18th century cottage, one of the oldest in the village. With its own private entrance, the apartment is full of character, with luxurious touches and modern appliances - a welcoming and comfortable place to return to after your day out. In addition to this we are next door to the village pub, where you can relax with a drink in the beer garden, have a meal or chat with locals. The pub also has a small shop for essential supplies. The open plan living/kitchen area is well equipped with a large flat screen, Smart TV for relaxing in the evening, plus a Bluetooth speaker for your music and free wi-fi. If you like to cook the kitchen/dining area facilities include an induction hob, full size oven, large fridge-freezer and dishwasher. There is also a washer-dryer should you need it, and heating for the colder months. The bedroom is decorated in a relaxing French style with a king-size bed, luxurious linen, and an en-suite shower room. If you are bringing your dog with you there is an enclosed outdoor courtyard area for convenience, which also has a covered storage area for bicycles/kayak. The nearest town is the historic market town of Helston (4 miles), famous for its Spring celebration - Flora Day. The thriving and pretty coastal town of Falmouth is a short drive (for visitors to the University campus, it is only a 10min drive) and the beautiful port of Porthleven with its many fine restaurants is also within a 15-20minute drive. Nearby is the stunning coastline of The Lizard Peninsula, or you could travel towards the evocative and mysterious landscape of West Penwith, stopping to visit St Michaels Mount on your way to unforgettable St Ives and beyond. West Cornwall has so many stunning places to visit, that we hope you will want to return time and again.
The apartment is in the village of Porkellis, close to art and culture, restaurants, a beach, and family-friendly activities. West Cornwall is known for its heathland, golden sand, artists' colonies, ancient stone circles, and Iron Age villages.
  • Our stay at Little Anvil was the perfect Cornish getaway. It's placed so well to explore the coast and countryside and it felt really cosy and homely. The cream tea on arrival was a lovely surprise as well!

    Lucy2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Little Anvil was wonderful! We would recommend it to anyone and hope to come back in the future. It was a lovely little apartment and every detail had been thought about. Check in and out was easy and any instructions to follow were simple! Our stay at Lori and Tims was exactly what we were after. The Star Inn next door was a great recommendation too!

  • Such a lovely place to stay! Very well decorated and has everything you need. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit the area.

    Céline2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lori's place is a fabulous place to say, in a quiet setting, a beautifully done up property with lots of characters and charm. Lori called to say hello on arrival, and was there to be contacted if needed. My wife thought the shower was 'one of the best ever'! Lori also left some lovely scones and jam for us to find when we first got there. We really liked the place, and booked it again on our return home.

A peaceful retreat deep in the countryside, but only 15 minutes from Falmouth and the coast, the ideal base for the best that Cornwall has to offer: sea sports, walking, music venues, creekside bars, great eateries. Then come home to a super king-size bed, a log fire, big sofa, big quiet luxury. Please note - we now have super fast broadband and re-charging facilities if you have an electric vehicle.
Owl House, Constantine was once the heavy horse stables in a courtyard of mid 19th century farm buildings. It is now our lovely, light guest accommodation, suitable for one or two in the super kingsize double bed. We also have a travel cot for babes in arms. Owl has a living room/kitchen with huge stone arched windows and a high ceiling. There is a woodburning stove, comfy seating and dining - and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher etc. The bedroom has a superking size bed, the bathroom a bath with overhead shower. The double doors from the bedroom lead out to a small private patio garden planted with herbs and lavender. Across the yard, there is a little laundry with washer and dryer, and the machines are exclusively for our guests' use. We supply cotton bedding, feather duvet, thick towels and a welcome tray which includes basics like tea, ground coffee, milk, eggs, bread, butter, cheese - and a few other treats. This is no longer a working farm, but you will have access to the field and wood which make up our holding. We live in the barns next to Owl - and also have our studios there. We are very happy to advise on activities, music venues, sports facilities, where to eat etc. Life drawing sessions may be running during your stay - and you would be welcome to come along and draw or paint, for a small fee. This is a quiet place, surrounded by trees, where at night you can see the stars and listen to the owls hoot. A footpath runs past the yard and into the village of Constantine, a walk of about 2.5 miles, over stiles and through bluebell woods. Constantine has a couple of grocery shops, including the very famous Constantine Stores with its amazing stock of spirits and wines. There is also a community centre with a theatre, music and film programme - and a cafe. The much valued Trengilly Wartha pub is on the other side of the village. We reckon we have the best of worlds - beautiful countryside, but in a quarter of an hour we can be in town or by the sea. There is no public transport nearby. Nearest buses in the village of Constantine. Nearest train station 5 miles away in Penryn or Falmouth.
We live in the countryside, but 2.5 miles away is the traditional Cornish village of Constantine with two pubs, general shops and the celebrated arts and museum venue, the Tolmen Centre.
  • This is a really lovely place to stay. We enjoyed exploring the area and stunning coast path and then coming back to a warm and inviting space. Woodburner very easy to light, huge comfy bed, lovely bathroom and huge bath towels, everything you need in the kitchen and a very generous welcome pack of food, flowers and wine. Thank you Jenny.

  • Great place and just a stunning location. The hosts could do enough for us and made our weekend very comfortable. We loved using the canoe and what an amazing view from the bedroom. Penpoll comes highly recommended.

  • We had a great time at Linda's place: from the king size bed to the continental/English breakfast, everything was perfect! We even had the chance to spot some nice birds in the creek at the back of the house.

  • It is hard to imagine a more idyllic location that this, particularly when the tide is in! The accomodation was spotlessly clean and we had an amazing view onto Gillan Creek from the bedroom. Linda and Tony were very welcoming and gave us some useful recommendations for nearby evening food - The New Inn is a pleasant 10 minute walk away along a woodland path. We visited whilst walking the SW Coast path, and found this cottage to be ideally situated for a stop between Coverack and Falmouth.

  • I would highly recommend this property as a base for exploring the Lizard. The setting is magical - the property sits right on the creek, with views over the water and the woods beyond. The garden is the perfect spot to enjoy the scenery and wildlife in the sunshine but, if it's raining, you can still enjoy an uninterrupted view from the bedroom window. The annex itself is spotless, spacious and light. Linda and Tony are extremely welcoming, and have great local knowledge to share. The final word must go to the food - Linda makes a truly fabulous breakfast and the pasty dinner is a must! I could have spend much longer at Penpoll. I would love to return to the Lizard and, if so, would absolutely stay at Penpoll again.

  • Very nice place in a beautiful location. Outdoor sitting area is wonderful. Very narrow/windy roads in this part of the world!

  • Every aspect of Lynette's cottage was perfect. It's warm, spotlessly clean, has all the equipment and facilities you need for a restful time. The weather was very varied but we had a peaceful and relaxing stay. Lynette is a warm and friendly host and responds to all the messages quickly. Definitely a recommended host and cottage.

  • Beautifully renovated typical Cornish cottage with a contemporary twist. Great location within the village, tucked just off the street providing seclusion and a little protection from the worst of the winter weather. Lynette couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. A thoroughly enjoyable stay, we’re sure to return.

Tremorna is an ancient fisherman's cottage with its own secluded garden and private water frontage. It is superbly positioned with wonderful views from almost every room down the Helford estuary and a calm and peaceful atmosphere. It sits in the centre of the village, yards from shop and pub, yet has a hidden terraced garden with a terrace and summer house perched above the creek and views down the estuary. Steps lead to a private quay with direct access to the shore.
The cottage has three double bedrooms, one of which has a double bed, the other two singles each. All three rooms have delightful views down the estuary. Downstairs there is a kitchen with dining table, cooker, washing machine/dryer, and fridge, and a spacious sitting room with a glorious open fire and thick cob walls. Tremorna has been our family holiday home for 50 years, since our parents bought it. We came here on holiday as children, and our children have come here on holidays all their lives. We welcome guests who appreciate a cottage of great character in a stunning and totally unspoilt location, with access to one of Europe's most ecologically rich and beautiful estuaries. - Sleeps 6 in one double and two twin bedrooms (one of which has beds which can be linked into a double). - Beds are made up with 100% cotton bed linen for guests' arrival. - Large drum washing machine/dryer, TV, DVD, wifi and microwave. - Off-lane parking for two cars. - Large garden with beach access, summer house and terrace overlooking creek. - Garden offers bench, table and chairs plus trees and lawn with steps to quay and beach. - Sizable kitchen with dining area, plus spacious sitting room with open fire. - Used by current owners, children and grandchildren as holiday home for 50 years. - Mooring available subject to agreement. Tremorna is superbly placed for walking and boating around the Helford River. With its water frontage and views, it is in one of the most desirable locations in the whole of the village of Helford.
Helford is a small village of mostly old fishermen's cottages, nestled around a small creek which fills to the brim twice a day at high tide. It has a shop and a pub, both excellent. The Helford River is a magical and totally unspoiled location for sailing, boating, walking, swimming and general outdoor relaxation, with a mix of remote creeks, coves, woods and low cliffs. The famous gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan are a short ferry ride away, and sand and shingle beaches, woods and cliffs are minutes away by footpath or boat. The whole of the glorious Lizard peninsula lies within about 20 minutes' car journey.
  • Lovely dog friendly cottage, short walking distance of fabulous pub and little general store. Stunning woodland & coastal path walks for all levels. We thoroughly enjoyed our 7night break, relaxing and tranquil. Looking forward to returning.

  • We have just had the best half term week in the most wonderful cottage in Helford. Opening the curtains in the morning to see the sun shining on the river was a joy. The day when the sun wasn't shining (only one!), we spent enjoying the village and the nearby sights. The perfect spot from which to explore Cornwall. We took my mother down for her 80th birthday and she loved it. Piers, the host, was very helpful suggesting places to take my two boys surfing and local places to eat. We will definitely be back. Chris

  • Lovely area and friendly people but roads narrow and winding. The property lived up to its pictures.

    Alicia2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • What you see is what you get! A delightful Cornish cottage/house with fabulous views, especially from the comfortable beds or private summerhouse. This is truly a great place to be either for walking the coast path or hopping on the ferry to visit Trebah or Glendurgan gardens. The shop and pub are great local facilities. The weather cannot be ordered to suit, but Tremorna suits all weathers - even the tail-end of a hurricane!!! A real find.

    Kathryn2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • The most idyllic creekside Cottage with beautiful ever changing views from all the windows. We traveled with children and they loved being able to access their own secret beach at the bottom of the garden. Can't wait to go back

    Sharon2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • A very well appointed cosy cottage, beautifully situated in a stunning part of the world. We were a family of 6 with 4 teenage boys and it felt comfortable though may have been a bit snug in poor weather. However, the summer house in the garden is a good extra space to spread out into. The local pub is friendly and busy with good pizzas and the local shop well stocked. We went on lovely coastal walks on either side of Helford River and had a great surf lesson at Poldhu Beach 20 minutes away. The Polpeor cafe at the Lizard was surprisingly good value in such a touristy place. Overall a great holiday spot.

    Anne2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage in a perfect location! The garden is lovely overlooking the estuary, and the house has everything you need. Was the perfect size for 4 adults (may get a little cozy with many more on a rainy day). 2 minutes to the pub and village shop so location is ideal, would recommend for anyone wanting to explore Helford and the local area!

  • This place really is a luxury retreat away from home, with everything you need plus more. There were some thoughtful touches such as the cookies, milk, coffee and bottle of wine. The fire and hot tub are what topped it off for us. Very remote location but just what we were after. Would definitely stay again.

  • Lovely property for a get away for two, out of the way from the busyness of life. Cosy property with a fire in the living space, bedroom a little small but manageable for a short time away. Perfectly clean with a nice bathroom and stylish kitchen. A little disappointed by the lack of privacy when in the hot tub outside as it overlooks onto the parking area shared by another couple holiday properties. Other than that no issues and will happily stay again.

  • Fletching Manor is very well equipped, spotlessly clean and lived up to our expectations. It’s a great place for longer stays and so close to the coastal path if you enjoy walking. We visited for two weeks during November and the weather was very wet. We appreciated such a comfortable, warm, dry place, especially after our outings in the rain. The couple who manage the cottage are very helpful and on hand should you need anything.

    Lisa2018-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely house. We had a week at Manor Fletching which was idyllic. The big kitchen/diner/lounge works well. All the facilities like ovens, shower, heating work easily and reliably. Things like underfloor heating and a ready to go hot tub help. Getting to to cottage is down tiny Cornish roads, and the nearest shop is a 5-10 minute drive away, but if you want to get away from it all this is a very special place.

  • Absolutely beautiful setting and the amenities were outstanding! Everything we could've needed was provided and everything we wanted to do was within driving distance - ideal location! The hot tub was an added bonus - we spent every evening there! Beautiful cottage, very clean and tidy, very spacious! Will definitely be returning!

    Jade2018-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful weekend in this beautiful home. The modern touches to the building look stunning from the outside and the hot tub, heated pool and sauna area were definitely a luxury. Having a car is useful as nearest shops/town are a little drive away. The space was so relaxing and peaceful at all times - can’t fault it.

    Maura2018-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful modern cottage setting in gorgeous, tranquil woodland/countryside surroundings with lovely onsite pool and other facilities. Cottage was clean and very spacious for two and our little baby. Had everything you need (beds made and towels provided etc ) just need to bring your own self-catering basics if you're staying longer than 1 night; tea, coffee, sugar, salt/pepper etc as only a small amount supplied. Perfect location to explore the area - Falmouth really close as well as a selection of beautiful beaches. Pool area was an added bonus and surrounded by beautiful oak trees and the hot tub and sauna were lovely and hot!

    Katie2018-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great weekend stay. Cottage is spacious for 2 and offers great amenities in respect of the jacuzzi and sauna room. Otherwise, the basics are provided to get you started. No further than 10 minutes drive from Falmouth town, these cottages make a good base for exploring the local area.

Constantine is a great base for local walks and those further afield. Our dog Bertie had a great time too! We will definitely be booking another longer stay next year.

  • We absolutely loved our stay at Emily’s place. It was so comfortable, lovely sofa and bed. Sky tv and a cute kitchen, although we ate out so didn’t make much use of it! Constantine village is so cute with every house having a lit up Christmas tree outside and decorations everywhere. Will definitely be back if I’m in the area again. Thank you!

There is also a small yacht club with a restaurant. It’s just a short walk to the beautiful Polwheveral Creek and the Potager Cafe. The South West coast path is just 2 miles away overlooking Falmouth bay and the Helford river, where you can walk from Helford Passage to Durgan beach, and further along to the Falmouth beaches of Maenporth, Swanpool and Gyllyngvase. Trebah Gardens, Glendurgan gardens and Constantine are just a short drive away. The nearest towns are Falmouth & Penryn which are 6 miles away.
  • What a gem! We had such a great time here - the space is a lot bigger than you think and has so many lovely touches. Great facilities, the shower especially! Lisa greeted us on arrival and gave us some tips on where to go for dinner, we had a lovely evening meal at the local Trengilly Wartha Inn on Lisa's recommendation! The outside space was really special, overlooking the lovely garden - though still feeling like your own space. Location wonderful too, the picturesque village of Port Navas just a short walk away. We would love to come back in the summer and really enjoy the long evenings here!

Easy walk to port Navas for dinner at the Yacht Club and not too far walking to Helford Passage. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and didn’t want to leave. Great hospitality.

  • Really gorgeous cottage on the Lizard. It's as beautiful as shown on the pictures. Great getaway from the city. Kids loved the animals and the garden. Good location to go on small trips (e.g. Trebah gardens, beaches, St. Michael's Mount) and about 20mins by car to next bigger city. Simon and Alex were very welcoming and we enjoyed the fresh eggs and home-made jam. Definitely a recommendation!

    Christian2019-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Cob Cottage is a beautifully furnished and decorated cottage in a lovely quiet and peaceful setting. It was spotlessly clean and the extra touches of fresh flowers and scones with homemade jam awaiting us on our arrival were very welcoming. We also enjoyed playing table tennis in the games room and appreciated the useful utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. I would recommend this cottage to both couples and families.

    Heather2018-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • I would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful cottage to anyone thinking of a holiday on the Lizard. The location is perfect for exploring all this beautiful area of the country has to offer, from beaches to charming towns. The accommodation itself is perfectly appointed, spotlessly clean, comfortable and with everything we needed. The setting was glorious, and the hosts have clearly given a deal of thought to the comfort and convenience of their guests. Their hosting style is relaxed and friendly and we felt very welcome. We took 2 dogs and enjoyed having a patch of garden for them to safely roam, as well as access to the land around the cottage itself. Thank you for making our time away such a pleasure, we didn't want to leave!

    Maddie2018-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying at Cob Cottage, which is as cosy as shown in the pictures. Simon is a great host and gave us really good tips on places to visit. We also loved meeting the donkeys, the piglets and the lively dogs, for a perfect rural retreat. Only thing... 1 week wasn't enough to discover beautiful Cornwall.... We must come back!

  • A lovely, kind and considerate host. It really was a peaceful location but still within easy reach of Helston and the coast. The room was very spacious and warm with a lovely view.

  • Robs place is hard to find but recognisable by the white wash building with green gables and is approached through a wooden gate. Opens up to a little bit of cornish magic. We had a suite rather than a room and were very comfortable. Rob had all the fires roaring and it was cosy and warm. He greeted us with porridge and toast and tea in the morning. All very nice 😊

    Eloise2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space, very large bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and lovely views. Wonderfully quiet and restful. I enjoyed a chat with Rob over a cup of tea but did miss having my own tea making facilities in the room.

    Sarah2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Rob's place is really nice and clean. It's also really quiet and in the middle of the nature. Thank you again

    Marine2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Rob was a great host! My friend and I had the honour of being Rob’s first guest and he was fantastic. He was very kind and hospitable; he made us tea as we chatted around the fireplace and the next morning he made us some porridge as well! I would definitely stay with Rob again :).

Possessing probably the most astonishing view of any holiday home in Cornwall, this former meteorological observatory is a unique place to stay. Offering 360 degree views of Falmouth, the whole of the Fal estuary and across Falmouth Bay, you will be mesmerised both day and night. Presented to the highest standards, providing luxury accommodation, this is a very special place to stay.
Set on a hill, overlooking town, sea and river, The Observatory Tower occupies the highest point in Falmouth. It was built in 1868, as a meteorological observatory, where people could watch and identify incoming weather. Originally it had a parapet wall on top. Unfortunately The Tower went into disrepair over the years and was eventually sold at auction in 2009, when the new owners set about its complete renovation, restoring wherever possible. They were keen to keep the restoration as sympathetic to its heritage, while also updating it for the 21st century, to make it a luxurious and comfortable modern holiday home with every amenity you could possibly wish for. Located close to the heart of Falmouth, it is just a short 6 minute walk down the hill to the famous National Maritime Museum Cornwall as well as all the attractions, restaurants and pubs along Falmouth's historic waterfront. Highlights include Rick Stein's Fish & Chip shop and Oyster Bar. You could also enjoy a leisurely pint of local brew outside the Chain Locker pub overlooking the Custom's House Quay! If you fancy spending some time on the beach, the sand at Gyllyngvase is about a 12 minute walk away. Accommodation Ground Floor: A private bedroom, with 4'6" bed and TV, complete with ensuite wet-room & WC, is situated on the ground floor. There is a separate utility room which leads to a small external courtyard at the rear of the property. First floor: On the first floor is a flexible space used as a living room, but easily converted to a second bedroom when the wall bed (4'6") is pulled down. This allows up to 4 people to be comfortably accommodated. There is a separate bathroom with overhead shower & WC. Second floor: The kitchen on the second floor is both functional and interesting at the same time. The history of The Observatory Tower is depicted through photographs, plans and original weather reports, set behind a glass splashback. A bright and airy space, with rooftop views over Falmouth to north, south, east and west. Third floor: The main living room on the 3rd floor, with its large picture window overlooking Falmouth Bay, is a precursor to the top floor. Its funky sofa was specially designed to fit the space, with fabrics chosen to reflect the changes in the weather. Fourth floor: After scaling the 66 steps to the top, the observation deck on the 4th floor is what this building is all about. The 360 degree views are breathtaking and if you don't know what you are looking out at, the pelmet art above the windows will help you identify local landmarks. On this floor there is a wine fridge, a sink and facilities for making hot drinks which you can enjoy whilst taking in the wonderful views. Facilities & Services Heating is via under floor heating throughout the property. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a range of modern equipment. There is an electric oven & hob, toaster, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave & dishwasher. There is boiling water on tap in both the kitchen and observation deck. The separate utility room has a washer dryer. In the living room there is a large flatscreen digital TV & DVD player. There is also a TV in the master bedroom. There is WiFi available at the property. There is an iron & ironing board. Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen & towels are all included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. On street parking is available nearby. Regrettably no dogs are permitted. Strictly no smoking is allowed. Please note that due to the nature of the building, the property is not suitable for children under the age of 12. Please also note that there are many stairs in the property and some are a little narrow in places. General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is normally on a Friday. Short breaks are available during quieter periods. £200 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.
Falmouth, the sailing capital of Cornwall, is renowned for being the third deepest natural port in the world, a haven for both cruisers and racers offering the sailor the last major port before the 12 hour crossing to the Isles of Scilly. Visitors to the Port will find the town teeming with coastal treasures, ranging from fish restaurants and boat trips to The National Maritime Museum, Cornwall next to Port Pendennis. Pendennis Castle built in the 16th Century sits high above the harbour with truly magical panoramic views across the bay. You can ride one of the Fal River Link Ferries to the beautiful St Mawes and visit Henry VIII’s sister castle or take a delightful trip around the estuary stopping off at either Trelissick Gardens or Smugglers Cottage for a cream tea. Falmouth Regatta Week, in August is the town's major event both on and off the water, fireworks and the recent addition of the Red Arrows provides a spectacular back drop for some high class racing. Later in the year the Oyster Festival shows off the rivers heritage to the full. Pendennis Shipyard host luxury yachts for re-fit and and in June 2012 Falmouth will host the J Class Regatta, the most spectacular event since the Tall Ships Race last visited in 2008. There are plenty of places to eat & drink in Falmouth and recently Rick Stein brought his Fish & Chip Restaurant & Oyster Bar to Discovery Quay adding to the superb mix across the town.
  • Stunning views from the tower. Clean and well stocked. I would highly recommend this unique stay.

    Amanda2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great, unique place to stay. Amazing views from the top floor, as other reviewers have said. Eating breakfast up there every morning is a great way to start the day! No parking space allocated, but very close street parking is available - we had no issues finding a space throughout the whole 5 days. 2 large bathrooms (one containing a frankly enormous bathtub), under floor heating throughout, instant boiling water tap and dishwasher in the kitchen, smart tv with Netflix in the living room. Great Air BnB.

    Lee2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely iconic venue, with unspoiled panoramic views over Falmouth. Spotlessly clean and incredibly relaxing. Thank you for such an amazing experience! Kevin and Marilyn

Beautifully appointed barn, with a roaring wood-burner, oak-flooring, bespoke kitchen with granite worktops, a Smeg fridge & even a Nespresso machine. The bedroom is luxurious with an exquisite pocket sprung 5ft bed & an en suite shower-room with a huge walk-in shower. Set within the Owner's grounds, this single-storey property assures you peace & tranquility. A stable-door opens onto the pond-side deck, perfect for a sunny afternoon & earlier in the day, the patio by the front is great too.
A stunningly restored barn, Marbles is set in a rural hamlet just an amble across the fields or lanes from the fishing village of Porthallow. The mouth of the Helford River can be seen as you approach the hamlet of Tregarne, reminding you just how close you are to the coast. Porthallow Cove is a short walk across the fields and Helford is three miles away.
Less than a mile from us is Porthallow, the half way point of the South West Coastal path, and there is superb walking straight from the door. Golf, sailing, diving & horse riding are all available nearby. You will be spoilt for choice with Cornwall's many spectacular gardens. Gorgeous beaches & coves are plentiful on the Lizard Peninsula and within easy reach.
  • What a lovely little get away! Hope's place is perfect for a little weekend away and is in a secluded, quiet place. Such wonderful touches such as homemade bread and cakes! We particularly loved the massive shower, underfloor heating and cosy wood burner. The pond was lovely to sit by and we were met by some lovely little koi fish! Hope met us when we arrived and was polite and cheerful! Brilliant communication before the trip and also gave us clear directions to the house. Overall, this is the perfect place for anyone wanting to get away for a little weekend or a week! Clean, well equipped and cosy!

    Meah2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Hope's house is the perfect place to unwind and explore the coast. The kitchen is well-equipped, the bed super comfortable and the whole place is very stylish. Hope baked some fresh bread for us which was delicious. And all her restaurant recommendations were spot on. We tried The Greenhouse in St Keverne and The Prince of Wales in Newtown in St Martin. Would definitely recommend.

  • We had a fantastic stay at this lovely cottage. Communications and directions were spot on. The cottage is lovely, spotlessly clean and all furnishings are high end. We really enjoyed spending time in the cottage and it was a great base for exploring the Cornish coast. We will definitely be back.

    Suzie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful host who added some extra homemade touches with bread and cakes on arrival. Hidden gem which was a great place to shelter from the storm.

    Ian2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The place was beyond what we expected! It was extremely clean and stylish and super cosy and it had all the amenities you need, including underfloor heating, super comfortable bed, and even all the essentials to cook our meals. Hope made us cakes and bread that were delicious, and the movies, music and games collection was a nice touch. Perfect for a winter stay during the chilly months (we visited in February). The location is also really good for exploring Cornwall and the hosts were helpful with giving us tips on what to visit. I would definitely like to return!

    Stuart2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect place to get away and a great jumping off point for exploring the Lizard and broader Cornwall. Everything in the home was very thoughtful and clean. The fresh bread and cakes were a wonderful addition to the stay and served as breakfast for the entire time I enjoyed the cottage. Very good communication and everything was made easy. This is a great place to stay!

    Megan2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really lovely two night stay at Marbles. We were greeted with bread, flapjacks and cake which Hope had baked herself and she made us feel really welcome. The area is great for access to public footpaths, and the cottage itself is in a quiet and peaceful corner with a relaxing decking area and pond. The cottage is really nicely furnished and equipped with everything you could need - we were particularly impressed with the quality of the furnishings and facilities. Overall we had a perfect stay and felt looked after with our own private space. Thank you Hope and Rob for everything.

A light airy room in our private annexe near public transport, a beautiful park and an easy walk down into town where you will find familiar shops, a vast variety and abundance of cafes and restaurants. See the ferries to St. Mawes and Flushing go back and forth. Easily walk to the beaches and visit the well known Gylly beach cafe. Falmouth has so much on offer for all ages.
The annexe is joined to our house but has its own entrance. There is an internal door that has been blocked and is locked! There is plenty of on road parking.
The ‘Neyth’ is perfectly placed for the town centre, beaches and the University of Falmouth. All are within easy walking distance. It is on a residential road.
  • Very clean, beautiful room, and thoughtful touches. Lynne communicated well and we had a lovely stay.

  • A lovely neat and tidy place to stay just outside Falmouth centre. Thoughtful touches like milk, bottles water and tea/coffee and biscuits were a nice touch especially after our long drive down. Easy to park our car and zip between Penryn and Falmouth centre. Also nicely located for day trips to Helston and St Ives.

The Boathouse is a brand new, self-contained one bedroom annex set within 4 acres of private gardens. It's a glorious rural retreat, perfectly situated just off the famous Helford River, between the popular villages of Port Navas and Mawnan Smith. The bustling seaside town of Falmouth is a 15 minute drive away. It's a great location for a range of activities - from country walks, kayaking, windsurfing, surfing, sailing, beaching, golf, spa days, or simply relaxing. The perfect getaway!
The Boathouse is newly-renovated this season to the highest standards. Accessed via a private driveway and completely private, you can park immediately outside the front door. Entering via the ground floor you find a small hallway, with the ash staircase on your right and shoe and coat storage on your left. Immediately in front of you is the shower-room, with a large power-shower, vanity unit and bathroom facilities. Following the hallway around to the right you enter a generous open plan kitchen/living area with an island breakfast bar, kitchen facilities including a dishwasher and granite worktops, and a comfortable living-room area with a smart tv and woodburner. Upstairs is a kingsize bed, set within the eves and with velux windows which capture the night sky (due to the lack of light polution, the stars are amazing). A doorway from the bedroom leads onto your own private balcony with uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside. Here you'll find a seating area, garden table and chairs and a BBQ for alfresco dinners. The Boathouse is surrounded by off-road country walks, and you can follow several established paths both out to the coastal footpaths and inland across open countryside.
The Boathouse is located in Bosanath Valley, 100 yards from the Helford River and just over one mile from the centre of the well served village of Mawnan Smith, whose day-to-day amenities include a village store, thatched pub (The Red Lion), doctors surgery, church, hairdressers, tapas restaurant and garage. The yachting haven of Port Navas, whose sheltered sailing waters lead directly onto the beautiful Helford River and the sea beyond, is just a 10 minute walk away. The small but perfectly formed Port Navas Yacht Club can be found perched on the quay - a great location for a quick pint or evening meal. Helford Passage, home of the Ferry Boat Inn, is an approximate five minute drive away or half hour walk; before which are the leisure facilities and golf course at the Budock Vean Hotel; a short distance after which are the internationally renowned National Trust gardens at Trebah and Glendurgan. The Trengilly Wartha Inn, a very popular country gastro-pub, is approximately 10 minutes by car. The port of Falmouth is approximately five miles away, and the cathedral city of Truro is approximate thirty/thirty five minutes drive away, from where there is a regular main-line rail link to and from London Paddington. The wildlife surrounding The Boathouse is fantastic, with plenty of woodpeckers, owls, foxes, badgers, pheasants, deer etc. The Boathouse is surrounded by off-road country walks, and you can follow several established paths both out to the coastal footpaths and inland across open countryside.
  • A fantastic location and beautifully renovated boathouse with everything well thought out and all amenities you could possibly need. Walking distance from local pubs and Glendurgan and Trebah Gardens, both well worth a visit. Will most definitely be back!

  • We had a great weeks stay, Sarah and Alex are great hosts! The boathouse was spotless and exactly as the pictures show! The location is very rural however we loved being able to walk to all the coastal villages for a drink or some food! The main house is a little closer than we expected however the boathouse is still private and we felt very secluded which was nice. You do get the odd visit from their two very friendly dogs however we are dog lovers so this did not phase us! We had a fantastic stay, Sarah was amazing with providing information and answering any questions! We would definitely go back!

Beautiful open space in a beautiful part of South Cornwall. 10 minutes to the coast at Anthony Point and local Helford resort. Truly the hidden secret gem of Cornwall
Open space in the country near the sea
Very rural location about 8 miles from Helston. Close to Frenchman's Creek, Helford, Lizard Point and Kynance with wonderful walks and outstanding views. Major suppliers can deliver locally if needed.
  • A lovely house in a remote location with great views. The room was very comfortable with tea/coffee and bottled water supplied. Martin and Sarah were marvelous hosts and I felt very at home and relaxed during my stay. Very good value for money.

    Kathy2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah and Martin are very friendly and welcoming hosts. Conversation came easily and they show a genuine interest in their guests. Without sounding cheesy we arrived as guests and left as friends. Would highly recommend and great value for the price, (especially with the garden view!).

    Coen2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely room and such a comfy bed. Martin and Sarah were so welcoming, and took pity on me and gave me some food as I’d walked miles there only to find the local pub doesn’t serve food on a Sunday eve!! Great cereal and toast breakfast, just what I needed.

    Alison2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay in Martin's lovely spacious, quirky, informal and rural home, with fabulous views over the surrounding countryside. The room was spacious, with a comfy bed, bottled water and facilities to make tea and coffee. The powerful shower (great views from the bathroom!) was very refreshing after a long day's walk on the SW Coast path. Martin's home is very rural, but convenient for footpaths into Manaccan and down to Helford with its ferry. We found it easily on foot thanks to his supplementary directions, so do ask! We enjoyed a lovely evening meal at the local inn, now owned by the community.

    Suzanne2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • I definitely recommend this place to everyone. The room was luxury and cozy. Much better than having hotel. Martin was really kind to me and her wife was also very kind. They kindly recommended some places to visit. I really liked to stay in Martins house. Thank you , Martin !!

    Jiwoo2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is my second stay with Martin and Sarah and I really can’t recommend them enough. Their location close to the lizard, kynance, and all of Cornwall is fantastic. The view is also one of the most beautiful that you’ll find and enjoying it every morning and evening is wonderful. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed taking an evening bath after a long day of hiking and looking out the window watching the sunset. As long as they keep doing Airbnb I will definitely continue to stay with them when I visit Cornwall.

  • Lovely quiet cottage within minutes of the beach, although you have to go further down the coast for dog friendly beaches. Good location though and the pool is an added bonus if like us you get lucky with the weather. Plenty of room for a couple of family’s.

  • What a beautiful place to stay. We were greeted by the most amazing homemade cakes and the bread Hope made was so delicious. We loved the log fire. Relaxing and beautiful place to stay.

  • Amazing accomodation and very thoughtful, unanticipated touches which made our stay. Great hosting, help and hospitality!

    Jude2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely cottage in a small hamlet of Tregarne. We were greeted with buns, bread, wine and a Xmas. A good location for all the main sights along this coastline and there is some lane driving to get onto the main roads, but once you get used to it, you're ok. The log fire was stunning and plenty of logs provided at no extra cost. We had dry weather and one night was completely clear skies and we stood on the balcony (outside) to see the stars. A wonderful stay and secluded location to get away from it all.

    Michelle2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great cottage with all amenities you could wish for. Lovely warm cottage on arrival after long journey together with Hope's freshly baked bread and cakes greatly appreciated.

  • Such an amazing place, from initial contact Hope was on the ball with communication. We turned up and was pleasantly surprised with fresh bread and amazing cakes. The house was really clean, tidy, very homely and we couldn’t ask for anything more. Just what we wanted for a relaxed and peaceful weekend away. We couldn’t recommend staying here enough. Fantastic hospitality and a property that was a pleasure to stay in.

We had a very relaxing week (weak Internet but that was an advantage for us!) and we even used the jacuzzi and swimming pool! We will definitely recommend this place and come back in the future! Worth to visit the Flicka Donkey Fundation which is only few minutes away, Norway Inn (10-15 minutes driving) for Sunday dinner (dogs allowed) and "Cribbs" Caribbean Street Food in Falmouth.
