Cottage vacation rentals in Helford

My partner and I had a great stay here for a long weekend. The place was so peaceful and quiet but close to amenities. The bed in particular was so comfortable, something I find hard to find at Airbnb’s! Claire and her husband were such lovely hosts and even gave us some free home grown eggs for breakfast. Plus lots of local recommendations. The local is good for seeing both the north and south coast. Easy to get the train too if you don’t fancy driving. 100% would come back and recommend the others too!

What a great place to relax and stay at, this is one of the best Airbnb’s we have started at. Mark and Tracey were welcoming and made us feel right at home. The spa is brilliant and was always set out really well with everything ready for when we wanted it in the evening. If you come here and decide to not have the in house chef experience, then you really are missing out. It was absolutely amazing and we were so full but the tastes were superb.

Lovely little cottage with fantastic hot tub and outdoor space. Walking distance to Polperro village and easy access to the coastal path too.

Had a wonderful stay at Silva Cottage.The cottage was beautiful and had everything a person could need and very clean. The location was amazing set in woods and so so quiet apart from the birds which were a delight to see and hear especially watching the comings and going’s of Woodpeckers on the bird feeder. The hot tub was spectacular.Set in the woods nothing could compare to sitting back and enjoying the tub with a glass of fizz. We had a great recommendation from Lorraine for an Indian Takeaway which delivered to the cottage and ate a great lunch at The Tamar Inn at Calstock. Great location for walkers with Dartmoor on one side and Bodmin Moor on the other plus the coastal path. Would highly recommend this property and would love to return.

We loved our stay in this cottage! It has such a cosy homely feel and is equipped with everything you’d need! The bed was super comfy and it was nice to have a tv in both bedrooms and the living space! The hot tub area was gorgeous and a great place to unwind and relax, very private area! Shaun the host was super friendly and very responsive! We couldn’t fault this place - amazing value for money. Would recommend and would love to return in the future!

This was our third stay at Nancy's House. Here are some of the things that drew us back: snug but spacious house that feels loved and lived in, peacefully tucked into a farm where interesting things always seem to be happening, and just a few steps from exhilarating open spaces; lovely hosts. Oh, and the hot-tub is very nice!

A really homely cottage. Perfect for a few days getaway. Unfortunately it rained on our break so ended up stuck inside. It would have been nice to have sat outside more! Overall it has what it says on the tin. Don't go here if you are expecting all mod cons and a pristine home. It's just somewhere cosy to get away from it all, with friendly owners and lots of privacy.

Tracy was very responsive and helpful. You immediately felt like she really cares that her guests have every comfort and feel welcome. The clotted cream and scones on arrival were a lovely touch that we really appreciated. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything you can possibly need. The area was perfect for us and easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit us St Ives, Falmouth to name just two. Our only regret was that it was only a 3 night stay this time but we will be sure to return for longer next time.

We had a lovely stay at Gardeners Cottage which was clean, warm and cosy. A very comfortable bed with fresh linen and towels. Set in very peaceful surroundings and my grandson loved visiting the chickens. The cottage contained everything that was needed for a comfortable stay including dishwasher and washing machine. We didn’t have the best weather during our stay so it was lovely to come back to the cottage which was warm and cosy to relax in. Being Dog friendly was the icing on the cake A lovely time was had by all

You cannot find a more beautiful and peaceful location for a few days rest within nature. Their homestead is so quiet apart from bird song. The cottage is very calm and comfortable with a beautiful log fire in the cooler evenings. The private garden and terrace you have has wonderful views and is ideal for eating alfresco plus a very roomy private car park. Bed is super comfortable with lovely high quality linen. I would not hesitate to stay again and the cheeky gorgeous Truffle Cockerpoo owners dog is very friendly and welcoming.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We loved relaxing in the warm conservatory after our days out walking. Easy walking access to SW coast path and within 15 minutes car ride of Penzance and St Just.

We stayed in the cottage for 5 days. The garden was like a small, beautiful paradise, someone has very green fingers. The tub and views were amazing. Inside the cottage was exceptionally clean, with all the amenities you would ever need, of a high quality. Great comfy bed too. Excellent location for exploration. We had a great stay here in the village of Sticker. It is on the main bus route from St Austell to Truro, so was very easy to get to from the train station (which is next to the bus station). Steve & Sue were very welcoming and helpful, and the cottage had everything we needed for our 12 day stay. There is a pub and a village shop/post office a short walk away, so very convenient. We hired a car and found it very easy to get about as we were so central. It was lovely to come back after a day’s sightseeing to the peace and quiet of our cosy cottage (and sit in the garden when the weather permitted!). We would not hesitate to recommend Steve’s cottage!

The cottage was even better than we expected. Sue would respond to messages within minutes and was there to greet us. Sue is super helpful and friendly. The cottage was bigger than we expected. It really felt home from home. Sue was great with our boy and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is a short stroll into the town centre with lots to do and places to eat. Porthleven is a great place.

Alfreds Cottage was easy to find, clean and made cosy a couple of cooler evening with the log fire. Wood and kindling available at Co-op. We didn't have a car, but local buses are just round the corner and centre of St Ives in walking distance, the up hill walk home was no problem. We ventured out to walk coastal paths, returning by bus. Also took train to Penzance, and Carbis bay. There is a big Tesco store at Carbis bay, the bus takes you there direct from main road near property. The coastal walks and beaches to visit around St Ives are just magic.. we did have fantastic sunny days though ;) Lisa answers queries promptly.. we sent a few suggestions when we left that we thought needed sorting.. Absolutely stunning! spent a week here and it's the loveliest little spot, small but perfectly sized for 2 and a dog. Absolutely lovely host, left little treats for us on arrival and had recommendations in the area but also not intrusive. The cottage itself is perfect, so homey and had everything we could need. we used the log burner every evening while playing one of the board games provided and it was so cozy and nice. The area is absolutely wonderful, beautiful views, path right down to the beach, and so many lovely walks right of the door, we did the majority of our daily outings as a straight walk from the cottage and watched the sunset from the beach each night. the photos really do not do this place justice, it is truly absolutely stunning and we would LOVE to return !

We booked the Hay Loft for a short break while visiting family in Falmouth. The property surpassed our expectations! It was beautifully styled, spacious and clean and in a lovely peaceful wooded location but yet only a short drive from Falmouth town centre. We enjoyed several lovely local walks from the Hay Loft, including a walk to Maenporth beach and walks down the valley. Definitely our ‘go to’ place when visiting Falmouth. Thank you Joanne !

Eleanor’s cottage was perfect for our family of four. It is next to the creek and a very short walk to the pub and ferry. The cottage was great, with comfortable beds and everything we needed. We picked up some supplies on our way to the cottage at the supermarket in Helston, but the local shop in Helford was handy too. Parking was on the creek or up in a nearby car park (a 2 minute walk up the hill). We bought a ticket for the week and left the car there except on the days we were venturing further afield. We had such a great holiday and would definitely recommend this beautiful part of Cornwall and Eleanor’s lovely cottage!

Just returned after staying 4 nights at the smithy & we had a lovely time whilst there. Kassie is an amazing host & always on hand to help with any enquiries or with local knowledge. The smithy is idealic & has everything that you need for a few days away, Kassie also made an amazing lemon drizzle cake upon our arrival which didn’t last very long! We would definitely stay here again when visiting Cornwall, loved every minute of it.

After a slight panic with the lock box (different numbers in email and app) I got in to the most well-equipped, gorgeous little cottage you could hope for.

Lovely place. Great location with lots to do within walking distance. The accommodation was really quiet,it was incredibly peaceful. Good for the dog, lots of space outside.

Simply stunning location, would’ve quite happily stayed there forever…

We had a really lovely stay at Apple loft, Alison was so friendly and great with communication. She added lots of personal touches, which was greatly appreciated. We brought our 6 month old and there was plenty of space around the bed for a travel cot, and Alison supplied a high chair. Alison sent her recommended places in the local area before we arrived, which was really helpful. We’d definitely recommend to anyone visiting the local area x
