Fun place for a Northern Michigan winter weekend! Plenty of room for our group of 8, super clean and comfortable, and a great location!

We loved our weekend getaway at Bear Haven, Kevin & Gina went out of their way to provide the best experience for my family and I. Location and amenities are unmatched. Would come visit again in a heartbeat.

I reserved Bear Haven for a couples cabin trip and it was amazing. The cabin was clean, warm and welcoming. The decor was beautiful. The hosts very nice and helpful. They gave us tips for things to do and responded quickly to any questions I had. You won’t regret staying here.

Bear Haven is a very clean, comfortable place to kick back and relax! Very convenient to local stores, restaurants, and sites to see. Super responsive hosts!

We came up north to see the fall foliage...we were not disappointed!! Bear Haven was the perfect choice for our family's stay. It was exactly as pictured/described and located close to everything. The pool table, theater and arcade games kept us entertained during the rain. Cherry Republic is a must for all visitors, the cherry salsa was our favorite. We look forward to staying at Bear Haven again and would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

Kevin’s house blew our expectations out of the water. It had an amazing kitchen and living space, perfect for meals with our guests and a place to all hang out. The house had everything you could ask for both inside and outside. We also got so lucky and saw a real bear outside of the cabin during our stay, how fitting! I would certainly return for another trip.

This was definitely a 5-star vacation! We filled the house up (me, my kids, and their kids) and enjoyed every inch of it. This house was clean and is super cute with a very tasteful beach decor and lots of really neat decorating touches. The kitchen was very well stocked, and we used the grill on the side porch. The only potential negative was that the entrance to the 3rd floor bedroom is through the second floor bathroom. We simply made the rule up front that if the bathroom doors were closed (no locks on any bathroom doors), that meant someone was in there, so don't open the doors. But it actually didn't cause any problems for anybody. We stayed from June 4th to June 8th. We had a rainy cool morning on our first full day there, but the rest of the weather was absolutely perfect (mid 60's to mid 70's). The lake water, however, was freezing; so the kids didn't spend much time in it. We spent a lot of time on the beach and playing in the sand in the yard at the house, though; plus, climbed and explored three different dunes areas, hiked through the forest, Kayaked at All About Water in Glen Arbor (a first time experience for most of us), and explored the cute town of Glen Arbor twice. We appreciated the short walk to town and having a well-stocked grocery store a block away. There was a bags/cornhole game in the back yard, and a few family games in a kitchen cupboard. We had a fantastic time, and I would highly recommend this house and vacation area.

This cottage is fabulous! It is right on the water with lots of space inside and out to relax and enjoy the beach and beautiful view. It was sparking clean with very comfortable Beds and plenty of room to spread out. We could walk into town for everything!

Wee TINY cabin (about 12x12). We didn’t mind as we used it as a base camp. Clean and well-kept by 2nd generation innkeepers. When we needed an iron and ironing board, one was delivered in 30 minutes. Beach front features plenty of toys and sand for children and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows. Centrally located with respect to the bustling downtown area. A very unique experience for the adventurous.

Great use of small space with loft in 1st bedroom. Great views from dock. Easy to access M22 and Sleeping Bear. Very clean and updated overall... There is a fire pit down by the lake. Bring your fire wood! We wish we had. Expect to pay $5/bundle at most local places. Short 10-15 minute drive to Frankfort. The surrounding area is very beautiful due to the giant hills/dunes... Most beautiful stretch of lakes and hills in lower Michigan is from Arcadia to Leelanau via M22. This place allows you to stay within the middle of it all.

This is a charming little space right on gorgeous Crystal Lake and right in the little town of Beulah. We were a little skeptical about being in a cottage that was also in a town, but it was very nice, with conveniences close at hand. We will be back.

The Grist Mill is a unique place and very comfortable. It was just the right size for the two of us. There are so many homey touches and the canine greeting committee made us feel right at home. The yard with the island, waterfall, gazebo, and view of the lake are fantastic!

Jeffery's apartment is great. It has a really good location, and the sound of the mills running water lured me to sleep at night.

My friends and I just returned from the most magical winter weekend at Bethany's cozy, comfy and clean cabin! We all loved the kitchen and playing games in the living room, as well as the beautifully quiet winter setting. It made for the perfect launching spot for a day of wineries, dinner at Arts Tavern in Glen Arbor, and some frosty hiking, too. I can't recommend this cabin getaway enough!!

Bethany’s place is pure magic! A cute, quiet place filled with everything you need for a perfect trip to Michigan. My boyfriend and I came to visit during the winter (from Florida) and found ourselves in a winter wonderland. The house is cozy, warm, and you can feel a homey touch everywhere you look. Bethany gave us many tips on where to eat and things to do prior to our arrival, as well as, a handy folder with notes on everything we needed to know. Not having ever dealt with snow before, she made sure to be available by phone or text should we need help getting out prior to the daily snow removal time. She is a wonderful host, and I highly recommend staying in her home.

Far enough out to be private but centrally located to everywhere we wanted to visit. Big snowstorm while we were there and they were completely on top of snow removal. The couple little things we forgot, we found were already there so we didn’t have to make a special trip. Had an absolute blast and can’t wait to go back!

Great place for a weekend getaway! My boyfriend and I enjoyed it very much. It is super clean and the TV is updated from the pictures. The cottage is very cozy, secluded, and relaxing. Bring snacks for sure, but the towns near by have neat restaurants for during the day. The heater makes a little noise but if the room doors are closed you don't hear a thing. Definitely coming back.

Lemon Drop Cottage was the perfect get away for my husband and I. The location is great, it was just secluded enough to have our own space but close enough to everything that you'd want to do when you think of Sleeping Bear Dunes and Leelanau Peninsula. It was clean and inviting. Tim gave us some great tips for hiking since we came when the weather was changing. Overall, great stay and highly recommend!

The lemon drop cabin was amazing. Communication with Timothy the whole time was great - he gave amazing instructions and was so helpful with texting and seeing us at the house. The cabin has much better cooking supplies than any Airbnb I’ve stayed in, basically the same as home. 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds and a bathroom and cozy living room as well. There are games and DVDs available as well. The setting and off the grid status was incredible for relaxing. We had fresh snow when we were up, which added to the coziness. It’s so close to great hiking and snowshoeing at Sleeping Bear Dunes. I would definitely return if I’m in the area! Thanks again!

The Lemon Drop Cottage was a cozy and convenient place for us to stay while exploring the Sleeping Bear Dunes area and the surrounding towns. Bringing our own ingredients, the cottage was well-equipped with the kitchen utensils we needed to cook a few meals. The decorations and vents were a bit dusty which somewhat bothered our allergies during our stay. Other than the bit of dust, the cottage was clean and accommodating.

Highly recommend cozy spot to others. The location was perfect and the place was spotless! I felt right at home.

Scott's guest house was extremely clean! It was beautiful, spacious, and private. Gorgeous view of the woods as well.

Perfect base for skiing at Crystal Mountain or exploring Sleeping Bear. Close to all the best parts of northern Michigan. The apartment is simple, plenty of space, comfortable, and clean. I'd love to come back in the summer and enjoy the nice deck!

Not really fancy, but well stocked for cooking; puzzles, books and movies for all ages; and plenty of space to relax (nice to have a jacuzzi after active days!). A secluded location with basic hiking right there and within easy distance of skiing, sledding, beaches, fishing, and more rugged hiking as well. Scott is a great host!

This property is awesome for families and the host, Harold, is great! We will book again and location is great too. Long Lake is perfect for swimming (sandy bottom) and the little beach is relaxing. We loved our stay and look forward to our next trip already. The description is accurate and even better in person than the pics. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!!!

Diana was such a gracious host! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is quiet and clean and very close to downtown Traverse City. We were in town for a wedding and enjoyed being able to come back and put our feet up, watch some TV and relax. I wish we'd had more time to enjoy the beautiful patio!

If you're looking for something clean, affordable and close to downtown, this is the place for you! I have stayed here twice and will definitely be coming back. Linda is great and did extra cleaning prior to our arrival due to coronavirus concerns. Love this place!

Linda's place was terrific. Plenty of parking, near the downtown, and comfy! I really enjoyed the Netflix option on her tv. I would definitely stay again.

I know where I am staying if I ever come back to Traverse City! I have so much to rave about but location is probably one of the best parts. In the winter it was a 1-2 minute drive to park downtown and that could be easily walkable in summer months. There are multiple eateries and stores right across from the house so you could easily walk across the street to grab pie, dinner or maybe even some wine. The airbnb is so much cuter than I was expecting, the perfect place for 2 people. The bathroom is beautiful and there is even a nifty heat lamp in there to keep you warm in the winter months. There were so many nice touches like local travel info, a coffee and tea station and even basic bathroom supplies. I had the best stay and I can't wait to come back again!

Location is super convenient for strolling around the downtown region. Easy check in and check out procedures with no curfews made enjoying our time there a breeze! We were fine but for those with mobility trouble, be aware that the stairs up to the second floor are pretty steep.

The house was very nice, clean, and in a perfect location to visit multiple wineries. Unfortunately we did not expect to be sharing half the space with the owner. Our paths never crossed and there was no noise from his side so we were perfectly comfortable.

James has a very clean place within minutes of Ciccone winery which was why we went up to begin with for a wedding. It was enough space for the two of us for a couple of days and so close to downtown Sutton's Bay.

Jim’s place was clean, had free coffee and water, and was about 15 min away from downtown Traverse. Great value and a great stay!

The stay at Craig’s place worked out very well. The home was clean, comfortable and in a wonderful area. We went to northwest Michigan area to fish and therefore did not spend much time at the home other than to eat dinner, take showers and sleep. Everything at the home was as advertised and worked well for us.

Very nice cottage right at the lake and very close to downtown. If you’re 6ft 7 (like me) than you need to be careful with your head :) but overall a very nice place to stay with direct access to the lake!

Cute, perfectly tiny, comfortable, and the perfect location! We packed for not having no heat or electricity and the place had some lighting devices. There was wood and camping chairs too! Much more than we expected. We enjoyed every second.

This cabin is exactly as described if not a bit better. Great location, the grill is nice but be sure to bring charcoal We went in early October and had some cold nights, so be prepared for that too. Overall great getaway to Traverse City.

Bill's cabin was perfect for a quick getaway. The neighborhood is super quiet, cabin is super cozy and Bill was great to work with.

Needed a place to stay for a few nights while exploring the Leelanau peninsula. This place was exactly what we were looking for! We originally just wanted a place to set up a tent but this turned out to be even better and for such a great price! Nothing too fancy, just somewhere between "glamping" and home.

Carrie’s place is meticulously clean and tastefully decorated. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great location with restaurants, shops, a winery and a brewery just steps away. Beautiful historic building offering a variety of on-site tours.

Great spot! Being inside the Commons is such a great place to spend a few days, and Nate & Carrie’s condo was awesome. Communication on how to get too and access the unit was great, and we enjoyed everything about our stay here!

I'm hesitant to let anyone else know how much we loved our stay here because it will be that much harder to secure in the future! Carrie's condo was the perfect location for a quiet getaway. We loved exploring The Commons and Carrie's recommendations were spot on. And the bottle of wine left for us was a very sweet touch. We can't wait to come back again.

Cute little place that’s nice and cozy and close to a lot of things. Mary and Rod were very nice and gave some good tips! Little snacks, Keurig coffee, and waters were a nice surprise. Place was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a great time!

We loved our little cabin. It was exactly what we were looking for. We were in town for a family reunion and it was perfect for us to come home to and get cozy after a long day. Had a little heater we’d turn on and it would get warm in no time. Also they had a kuereg with little coffee pods and creamer which was a life saver for me. They had a fire pit and told us we could help our self to wood but unfortunately never had the time. I would have totally loved to have a glass of wine by the fire though. Thanks again for the amazing hospitality & the beautiful cabin. We would love to come back.

If I could give Rod and Mary 10 stars, I would. We loved their cozy cottage. They had thought of pretty much everything they could have to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They were very friendly hosts and had a couple great local insider tips. The location is also in between 2 wineries, both of which are less than a 15 minute walk. I would not pass up an opportunity to stay here if you are in the area looking for a relaxing getaway.

If you enjoy wineries and need a quiet , quaint place to stay, look no further. We came up for a wedding in Northport, and found this lovely place. 12 minutes from Northport and Sutton’s Bay. We could walk to 2 wineries from our cottage. (45 and Aurora wineries). Very clean and you will need for nothing. Excellent hosts.

Great value for the space! Condo was clean and spacious, easily enough for a family of 4. Check-in was very simple. The location was perfect if you have activities on the east side of Traverse City. About a 10-15 min drive to downtown.

Barry was a great host! Nice little place right on Traverse Bay (top, third floor!). Perfect place for 2 people. The hide-away bed was comfortable. It was a winter weekend for quiet and relaxing, and this place was perfect for it. A little kitchenette, perfect for pancakes, eggs, and coffee! It had a fridge and freezer, microwave, and stove-top. Coffee maker and lots of utensils and dishes. Great little high-top table to enjoy breakfast with a nice view. Quiet, clean.

All the reviews for Annie and Jack’s camper mentioned personal touches and how they had thought of everything. I was still unprepared for how sweet and thoughtfully this place was put together. The space is small (if you’re taller than 5’9 you might not be able to stand up straight), but perfect for a little getaway.

The camper was great. Annie and jack also set the picnic table. To top it off, the centerpiece was fresh flowers. All together satisfied with both host and camper. Will stay again

We loved our 3 days in Annie and Jack’s camper in Interlochen State Park. Annie and Jack provided all the basics that you would need for camping - linens, towels, extra blankets, utensils, drying rack, lantern, washing bin/soap/brush for dishes, and more. The camper is small but worked well for my husband and I and our 2month old baby, who slept on a mat on the floor that Annie and Jack provided (not enough room for our Pack n Play that we usually travel with). It was a great way to do camping without all the planning and packing!

My husband and I had the best time staying in Annie and Jack’s cute little camper! They had our campsite all set up for us when we arrived, which made our trip easy and stress free. You could see the love and thoughtfulness in everything that they supplied for us. Communication was easy and prompt and the accommodations where perfect for us. We would highly recommend them and can’t wait to rent their camper again!

My husband and I spent the 4th of July weekend at the Interlochen Park; Annie and Jack Scamp was amazing experience from beginning to end. The camp was set up beautifully, flowers, wine, snacks anything we can need and more. They leave the Cherry Festival information and we got to enjoy many of their activities. The camper is clean, cozy and enough for both of us. They communicate with us promptly and provide clear and accurate information need it immediately. Definitely a super host, already planning on doing it again.

Jeff was very helpful leading up to the trip. We visited here for a snowboarding trip and loved that it was close to Crystal Mountain and Traverse City. We love visiting this area with our pups, so this was the perfect spot — so peaceful in the morning!

Highly recommend this! Especially if you are a fisherman. This place is beautiful. The home is in a gorgeous lake and conveniently located to just about anything you could need. The home is as described. The extra little amenities were great especially for our weekend getaway, less to pack! And if you forget something there are stores right down the road. We went to the property for an ice fishing trip for the weekend and it was amazing. Theres a bait shop literally 2 houses down and the fishing was awesome and the lake is private which meant we had it to ourselves! The home was very clean and tastefully decorated. You are right off the highway, but inside the house you cant hear nothing of road noise. On our last night people were in the other half of the duplex but you couldn't hear them, with the exception of their dog barking. Jeff provided toiletries and little amenities like coffee and creamer and spices for cooking. The place even has a washer and dryer which was great to dry our wet clothes after ice fishing. Jeff was great with communicating making sure we arrived and were able to get in the home okay. The list of where to eat was great especially if you are unfamiliar with the area. We are hoping to come back again in the summer to see what the lake offers for fishing during the warm months.

We booked a place super last minute for a spontaneous trip north, and we were so excited to get a place this awesome so last minute, and then upon arriving it was even better than we already thought it was going to be! The space was modern but cozy, it had a beautiful yard and lake (which I'm sure is even more incredible in the summer), and Jeff literally provided EVERYTHING you could possibly need and was so helpful in general. Coffee, Netflix, extra blankets, a fan, a list of everything to do in town - this was by far my best Air Bnb experience. We will definitely be making a trip back in the future! Thank you Jeff!

Quaint and cozy little cottage right near the water and near downtown! As a stand alone building near a few other cottages it is still nice and private! Good communication from host.

The beach access and fire pit were great. Super location. Make sure you’re close with your co-traveler, it’s a tight fit if you have two guests.

Island View Cottage was a great place to stay. Very comfortable, homey, and very clean! Shaun was very friendly and called to let us know when we were able to arrive for check-in. We stayed for 2 nights, it was an enjoyable and relaxing place. Island View Cottages are very close to downtown, within walking distance for most. I would highly recommend staying here!

Lisa’s place was great. My wife and I stayed there for a few days on a short winter getaway. The space is nice, clean, and comfortable, and Lisa added several nice touches. Plus, it’s easily walkable to everywhere downtown. Exactly what we were looking for!

This apartment was perfect for our overnight stay in Traverse City. The location was great. Easy walk to bars, restaurants and shops. We would love to stay here again next time we’re in town.

My stay was spectacular. I’ve stayed at other condos in Traverse City but Lisa’s place takes the cake. Gorgeous decoration, couldn’t be cleaner, and a couple surprise extra amenities that truly made this place stand out.
