  • Harvista is a great place to spend a few days in the Granite Belt. It is in a nice quiet secluded bush setting but still quite central to the attractions of the area. We particularly enjoyed the local home-made jam samples.

  • A wonderful place to stay, ethereally picturesque in the evenings with furnishings designed to promote relaxation. There was plenty of delicious produce from the local area provided by the hosts which was thoughtfully provided.

    Timothy2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is perfect to spend some quiet time in a secluded place. The owners left some wine, fruits, bread, eggs,... Everything was good. For those who want to explore the girraween national park, it is 20min away from the property.

A beautiful country home nestled in Glen Aplin, a 10 minute drive south of Stanthorpe. With so much to see and do, you're only a short drive from popular bushwalks, wineries and the many attractions that the Granite Belt has to offer. The house can comfortably accommodate up to 3 couples, plus an extra single bed and a set of bunks ideal for smaller children. There are 3 bedrooms inside the main house and 1 bedroom in a cabin about 30metres from the house. A portacot & high chair are available.
We have a beautiful and peaceful 40acre property, with views to Mt Tully and surrounding hills. We also border the Severn River where you could do fishing/canoeing or just relax by the river in a very quiet and secluded spot or even have a picnic by the river, unfortunately at the moment Stanthorpe is in drought and river is very low. There is a wood fired sauna available, where you can relax in the evening. The front deck is a fantastic place to sit and enjoy the views or have a BBQ. If you require extra space we also have a cabin 180m from the cottage that can be booked through Airbnb as well, this can accommodate an extra four people.
We have a number of wineries and cellar doors, cafes, gourmet foods, restaurants, olive farm in close vicinity. If bike riding is your thing, then that is also possible as we are only less than a kilometre from the Granite Belt Bike Trail (Bicycles can be hired from Stanthorpe or bring your own). For the hikers the popular Girraween NP is easy access from our place only 25km away on along New England Highway.
  • Merja and Jarmo’s cottage is filled with country hospitality and charm. We felt so welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house and cottage was big enough for 9 of us plus a sausage dog. Only 10 minutes out of Stanthorpe with plenty of hidden charms and wineries to explore in the area. A very well equipped kitchen was a bonus! Thank you :)

    Theresa2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely spot. Thanks Merja & Jarmo.

  • Silverbirch Hill Cottage is exactly as depicted on the website. It is a great place to stay if you are looking for a comfortable cottage in a peaceful, bush setting.

  • This is a lovely house in a beautiful rural setting. We enjoyed our stay very much!! Location was fabulous. Thank you for having us.

    Susie2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was a great base for our family of 4 + 1 dog to explore the beautiful region. It well-equipped and conveniently located near wineries, eateries and national park hikes. The fully fenced yard was a welcome surprise for us and our pup!

    Ariel2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful property, quiet and clean .

    Jade2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Merja and Jarmo's cottage is so homely and easy to stay in. We spent a lot of time on the front deck, eating, drinking, playing games and reading or chatting. We spent two days at Girraween NP which was amazing (though very hot already!) and we did a wine tour, with Maxi Tours who came recommended by the hosts and was very good. Stanthorpe is very close for grocery shopping and Tenterfield is a town with lots of character and history and worth a visit. The only downside for me was the lack of phone reception at the property most of the time. I am with Optus and I'm sure the phone reception is better with another company, but just something to be aware of! Highly recommend this place regardless of that though! Thanks for having us and for the speedy communication to all messages.

  • Beautiful, peaceful rural setting. The house is very clean, well equipped and comfortable. I’d recommend staying there to unwind in the country and great to be able to take our dogs with us.

  • I can highly recommend staying with Cyd. Wonderful and relaxing place with hotel like breakfast. Me and my family had a great stay!

    Malin2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • This quaint 'barn' on the outskirts of Stanthorpe is spotlessly clean, very comfortable and the hosts provide a wam welcome without any intrusion. The stars at night are a highlight. The breakfast basket is outstanding too.

    Cath2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We felt so welcomed from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The barn is very clean and Cyd’s special touches (which include an amazing supply of breakfast goodies in the fridge) make it so homely. Thank you for sharing your special place in the world with us. Can’t wait to come back in winter and stoke up the fireplace.

    Kylie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Well positioned and as advertised. Excellent amenities and with the bonus of an excellent welcome hamper, best that we’ve ever had. Mix of farm, local and store bought provisions that’ll keep you going or round out what you may bring yourself. Highly recommended.

    Steve2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Right from the first minute we arrived, we felt like true guests. Cyd was amazing and the breakfast supplies were delicious. Nice and peaceful location, but also close to Stanthorpe and plenty of wineries and attractions

    Glenn2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely AMAZING! The barn is so cute, cosy and peaceful. The area itself is spectacular! A beautiful barn surrounded by a cute little garden house, a vineyard, friendly cows and a beautiful view of the country side. It’s the perfect stay to relax with your girlfriends with a glass of wine under the stars. Cyd was so welcoming on our arrival and gave us great suggestions or where to visit in the area. We will definitely be back again!

    Antoinette2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful space for a trip to the Granite Belt and especially close to some of its best wineries. Cyd is a great host, great communicator and supplied a great continental breakfast. Couldn’t have been better

    Simon2019-11-17T00:00:00Z

  • Great place, great hosts and great wine! We had a fabulous weekend at Dave and Angie’s place. They were welcoming hosts who mapped out some hotspots around town for us to see and were great for a wine and chat as well! The cabin was warm and cozy in the midst of the vineyard. Thanks again !

    Bec2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Dave and Angela took great care of my daughter and I on our holiday. Made us feel extremely welcome and ensured they could help us enrich our time in Stanthorpe.

    Donna2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Dave and Angela are amazing host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property. The place is exactly as they described. We were blown away by the hospitality and awesome company. Thanks for making our anniversary truly memorable.

    Nick2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • David and Angela are great hosts and lovely people. The place is clean with a beautiful outlook over the vineyard. David was quick to respond with instructions getting to Mountview, and the shiraz was excellent.

    Terry2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a delightful stay at David and Angela’s cabin. The cabin has all of the essentials for a winter winery getaway: electric blankets, reverse cycle air con, kitchenette facilities, etc. Great location - we were able to walk to local wineries and most other attractions are within 15-20 minutes. Lovely setting with he miniature ponies and winery. Would highly recommend for a weekend escape.

All the places you'd like to visit are no more than 5-25 mins travel. If you are looking for peace and quiet amidst the backdrop of a rural property, this is the place to go.

  • Wonderful location, beautiful surroundings and lovely hospitality. My partner and I had a great time and particularly appreciated Merja and Jarmo’s considerate approach to a stuff-up we made in our booking. Great spot and would visit again.

  • A beautiful cabin in an amazing place. Make sure you stay for longer than one night it's so lovely.

    Tania2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful place to stay. The Cabin is a short drive off the highway between Stanthorpe and Ballandean. Close to so many great wineries and cafes. There are just so many great choices. The Cabin was a great size for three adults filled with everything thing you need. The fire place would be a good bonus on a very cold night. Would definitely go back and stay if we return to Stanthorpe.

    Kurt2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • You will find it easy to get to cabin. Well equipped with everything you need. Presentation is really good and two lovely hosts.

    Michael2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cabin. It was in a perfect location for us to explore and enjoy Stanthorpe and the Granite Belt. As well as take a relaxing break from our busy lives. I would definitely recommend your cabin to anyone interested in holidaying in the area.

    Kathleen2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Merja and Jarmo’s cottage is new, clean and has everything you could need. It is in a quiet location with room to explore. Jarmo and Merja are welcoming and thoughtful (a bottle of wine and a fire ready to start when we arrived!). We are looking forward to returning again.

Our council approved accommodation consist in on 1 bedroom self contained cottage in the heart of Stanthorpe. Imagine the perfect country retreat and it would probably look something like 'Casita de Bosque'. Peaceful, charming and cosy, the cottage is a graceful mix of period charm and modern facilities. Please note that there three cottages in the property "Casita de Bosque" is the one bedroom more secluded cottage....green and with full water tanks (January 2020) to enjoy your spa. .
The cottage has been inspired by the surrounding natural bush area , we called it Australiana's chic. Built with recycled materials and corrugated iron outside but we all the glamour and confort of a french cottage inside. The cabin seats in 44 acres of beautiful Granite belt natural bush.
  • Delightful hospitality, great accomodation. Beautiful scenery. Thanks.

    Matthew2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful and romantic little cottage with a gorgeous view.

    Yaren2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Maria's cottage at Severnlea (just outside Stanthorpe) is fantastic. We originally booked Casita de Bosque, but Maria thoughtfully changed the booking to the newer Casita Blanca cottage with an Air Conditioner because the temperatures were going to be up in the mid 30's. All 3 of the Casita de Campo cottages are great and we would have happily stayed in any of them. Casita Blanca was beautifully furnished and equiped with everything that you would need for a short stay, including a basket of breakfast goodies. We loved our stay, don't be put off by the drought or water restrictions, the Granite Belt is well worth a visit. Highly recommended.

    Vaughn2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was perfect to our needs! We love the location just outside of town so nice and quiet but still close to everything. The cottage is beautifully kitted out, well maintained and super clean. Lovely views and incredible night sky visible from the back deck, the front porch is a nice cool spot to hang out also. The hammock is a brilliant touch.

    Renee2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Maria & Rudy’s cottage is beautiful. It is very well equipped, everything I needed was there and I was able to completely relax. The breakfast hamper was a beautiful touch and I would definitely stay again. Could not fault it. Highly recommended for a weekend away.

    Katie2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Maria and Rudy provided the perfect 2 night experience at Casa de Bosque. The cottage is set back from the road past some Shiraz and Tempranillo vines with a nice outlook towards rolling hills. The area is suffering from a drought but it didn't take away from then natural beauty of the property. All amenities were well thought out and the inclusion of a basket of goods was great for a grazing breakfast. No wifi is supplied but phone reception was ample which gave us a chance to "switch off". The location is excellent with Stanthorpe, Girraween and plenty of wineries all a short drive away. Our foodie highlights were Pyramid Road Winery, The Barrel Room and Zest Bakery

    Conrad2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect getaway! "Casita de Bosque" is very cosy and welcoming, and being set in such a tranquil bushland setting, you can't help but relax and unwind. The cottage is so beautifully appointed with lots of charming touches...Rudy and Maria have created something very special!

Your own private retreat in the middle of Queensland's Granite Belt. Situated on a working vineyard, Kristy's cabin is a modular building that has been converted for guest accommodation. Recently renovated, the space is clean and fresh, with beautifully appointed interiors. Located behind the main house, you will have privacy but be able to access the outdoor spaces and take in the breathtaking views. Kristy's is the perfect base for busy outdoor hikers or those wanting a relaxing weekend away.
Although small, the space is warm and cosy and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Ideal for couples, the cabin features two separate bedrooms, separate kitchen and bathroom. The space has been renovated specifically for guest accommodation and is clean and warm. Bedroom one has a queen bed whilst bedroom two or living/lounge has a double bed pull out sofa bed. It will be predominantly set as living/lounge with quick and easy access to the bed. The kitchen has a kettle, toaster, microwave, gas cooker and fridge. All utensils are provided. The outdoor patio has a potbelly stove for warmth and ambience. In addition to the inside spaces, there is also an outdoor pizza oven, firepit, and picnic areas to take in the picturesque surroundings and vineyard views.
Located just 10 minutes from Stanthorpe, the cabin is in a convenient location to access all the Granite Belt has to offer. Ballandean is in the heart of Queensland's wine country and is a popular destination for tourists all year round, but is most popular in the winter. Visitors come to enjoy the cool days and frosty mornings. There are at least 50 different wineries across the Granite Belt with many winning national and international awards every year for their products. If you need somewhere to start, join the Strange Bird Wine Trail, tasting your way through 30 Granite Belt wineries including the renowned Ballandean Estate Wines. There are many options for foodies on the Granite Belt, with restaurants showcasing local produce. Southern Queensland producers pride themselves on offering some of the best ‘paddock to plate’ food experiences in the state. The cabin is in the perfect location for those wishing to explore Girraween or Sundown national parks, or perhaps just take a bushwalk around the hills on the property. With breathtaking views, and clean crisp fresh air, the Granite Belt has all that is needed to relax and recharge even the most stressed out city slicker.
  • We had a lovely weekend at Kirsty’s place. It was a like ‘glamping’ - an outdoor experience (eating and sitting) with indoor modern conveniences (indoor bedroom, sitting room, kitchen/bathroom - each of these rooms are off an outdoor area). The queen bed was very comfortable and the sofa bed was okay for our daughter. The kitchen and bathroom were lovely (with wonderful local products). The space is very small but nice for a weekend (location is very convenient). There is heating but not cooling. We loved seeing the stars at night and really enjoyed the wine! Great weekend!

    Elinor2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful and quirky the best of ways! Close to both Stanthorpe & Tenterfield the little converted granny flat was super cosy and had everything we needed and more for our overnight stopover. The cottage was clean and tidy and Kristy was easy to communicate with and super efficient on what could've been annoyingly-late notice. The stroll with a glass of wine back up the property at dusk made for a very special end to the day and I have to recommend it! Thanks again Kristy!

    Ross2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous location and amazing hostess!

    Jacinta2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Strongly recommend Kristy's place to everyone. We had a great time staying at the vineyard. Kristy is a very approachable and prompt host. The place is great! Had everything we needed for a restful two nights and more. I hope to stay there next time I'm in the region.

    Daniel2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Was a comfortable stay wish we could stay longer and explore more.... thanks Kristy

  • Photos don’t do this place justice! We had a fantastic getaway! Will be back.

    Eugene2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great location will be back.

    Darren2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Kristy’s place was great. It was easy to find; communication was quick and clear and check in was simple. The space is three separate rooms off of an outdoor area (so you need to go outside to get between the bedroom/lounge area, kitchen/bathroom). As Kristy runs a gym in a nearby shed, there was a little bit of noise early in the morning, but nothing too loud. Overall it was a lovely place to stay.

    Cam2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage! Exceeded expectations. Have already recommended to friends and family! Thanks for a great stay.

    Danielle2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Maria & Rudy were fabulous hosts, who provided a private, relaxed environment close to all the wonderful things Stanthorpe has to offer. Coming from the city it was the perfect location to unwind & take in the peaceful surroundings. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

    Martina2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Maria’s for 2 nights with our pup. We loved the privacy of the cottage and the warm welcome from our hosts. The bed was comfy and the cottage beautifully appointed. Thank you for having us!

Built on a granite outcrop, nestled amongst the trees, at Mossy Rock Cabin you'll instantly feel relaxed and 'at-one' with nature. This delightful, fully private & secluded, two bedroom cabin offers views of the Granite Belt bushland, from every room, with plenty of bird-life to enjoy.
There are two bedrooms, each with queen beds, with electric blankets. For the summer, ceiling fans in each room, and for the winter, a wood heater (wood supplied), as well as small fan heaters for instant warmth. A fully equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, induction cooktop & electric oven, Kafee coffee machine, fridge/freezer and bar fridge (on deck). We have an under bench washing machine in the kitchen and clothes dryer under cover on deck. There is a TV, DVD player and CD player, books, DVD's and games for your enjoyment. An outdoor setting, swing chair & BBQ on the deck provides a beautiful space for relaxing and dining or enjoy the fire pit on the rock near the cabin.
The local town of Stanthorpe, 15 minutes away by bitumen road, is the heart of the Granite Belt and Queensland's premier wine growing region. The district has a rich diversity of agriculture and tourism and there are many local attractions for you to explore whilst visiting our region, including the many varied wineries that are scattered from one end of the district to the other, and the amazing Girraween National Park. The information centre in town can provide you with all relevant details. There are several winery tour companies that operate in the district.
  • Very peaceful. The night sky is incredible. The cabin is quite large, well maintained and clean. We really enjoyed ourselves.

  • This place is a piece of heaven in earth. It is AMAZING. We are a family of four (2 adults, 2 small children). There is movies, cups and plates, puzzles and books for the kids. CD player and CD’s collection of music for you to enjoy. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook from a simple to a elaborate meal. All you need is your bag with clothes and food. Everything else was supplied for us. At this time of the year (March) we packed more winter clothes than summer clothes and I would recommend to pack some fresh shirts too. The weather was really nice and we also had some hot afternoons. Super clean and cosy cabin. We loved everything about it and highly recommend this place for a gateway.

  • Very nice clean cabin in a good location with nice furnishings. Beware of snakes on the granite rock, one snuck up on my while I was reading a book out there. Wifi would have been good as I could barely get reception out there, but it was nice to go without for a bit.

    Megan2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was amazing, everything we needed to cook up some gourmet delights...including sharp knives and a dishwasher. The swing chair on the deck was heaven and the fire pit romantic! The log fire in the cabin was so efficient it kept us toasty warm. We loved the seclusion and peace...heaven. Highly recommend.

    Adam2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • I'm reluctant to say how good this place is because then it will be booked out for the next time we want to stay. The serenity is priceless, we sat by the fire overlooking the mossy rock landscape and had wine & cheese on the deck amongst the trees listening to the birds. Pure relaxation with only a 15 minute drive to town for supplies and any number of winery's. cheese factory's and fresh produce suppliers. Sue is an outstanding host and was a pleasure to deal with. We will be back! 11 out of 10 for us.

    Ben2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazingly peaceful and relaxing spot. The moment we drove up we knew it was going to be a great stay. Everything has been thought of and the house was clean. Thanks Sue!

  • We had conformable stay at Gavin's place! The communication was easy and he was helpful with tips for local restaurants. The house is 10min drive to the main street with shops and food places. In the morning we had a round of golf on the course next door, very kind people and we greatly recommend it! In the area we stopped by Tobin Wines, small local cellar with knowledgeable and passionate owner.

Our modern new caravan has everything you need for a great weekend get away or even for a longer stay in the beautiful country side nestled in Glen Aplin, only a 10 minute drive south of Stanthorpe. With so much to see and do, you're only a short drive from popular bush walks, wineries and the many attractions that the Granite Belt has to offer.
We have a beautiful and peaceful 40acre property, with views to Mt Tully and the surrounding hills. We also border the Severn River where you could go fishing/canoeing/fossicking or just relax by the river in a very quiet and secluded spot or even have a picnic by the river, at the moment with the drought these activities are limited. The front of the caravan is a fantastic place to sit and enjoy the views or have a BBQ.
We have a number of wineries and cellar doors, cafes, gourmet foods, restaurants, olive farm in close vicinity. If bike riding is your thing, then that is also possible as we are only a kilometre from the Granite Belt Bike Trail (Bicycles can be hired from Stanthorpe or bring your own). For the hikers the popular Girraween NP is easy access from our place only 25km away along the New England Highway.
  • Our visit was better than we could have hoped for. The hosts were super helpful with local tips and extremely accommodating. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone interested in visiting this area.

Silky Oak Cottage is a quaint cottage situated close to the town centre of Stanthorpe on the Granite Belt. Walking distance to walking tracks along the creek, shops, cafes and restaurants. The cottage has the bathroom and living area downstairs with a romantic queen bedroom upstairs. The cottage is perfect for couples and furry friends (pets). Please note a two night minimum stay is required. A three night minimum stay is required over Easter and Christmas periods
Modern downstairs living area which includes kitchen, bathroom and living area with a gorgeous spiral staircase leading to the loft bedroom (queen bed) which has French doors opening to a private balcony.
The cottage is within walking distance to cafes, restaurants, shops and the beautiful walkways along Quart Pot Creek. You will find the locals extremely friendly and welcoming.
  • The Silky Oak Cottage is beautiful - picture perfect from the outside and cosy inside. It was an excellent base for a relaxed weekend in Stanthorpe. The fire was a lovely amenity on a cold wet evening! The cottage is within an easy walk of the centre of Stanthorpe and is close to the start of the bike trail to Ballandean. Debbie was great to deal with and I would highly recommend.

    Phil2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We would recommend Silky Oak Cottage to any couple looking for a peaceful getaway in a tasteful ambience. Debbie responded promptly to our queries. The cottage is sparkling clean.

    Peter2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend. A beautiful cottage and very thoughtful touches by the host (e.g. even had breakfast items provided like bacon, eggs etc).

    Matthew2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage and surroundings, close to town, can walk anywhere. We had a great time there

    Callum2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • An amazingly cute cottage, inside and out. Perfect for our romantic getaway. We didn't get an opportunity to use the fireplace, but will do so on our next visit to Stanthorpe. Very convenient location, a short walk from an amazing restaurant down the road called Anna's (bookings required). A little further down the road is a creek with lovely pathways for walks in the early morning and late afternoon. Birds, friendly locals walking their dogs, and a cool bridge are things you are likely to encounter/see. Debbie's cottage is in a great location for those wanting the convenience of staying close to town.

    Kelly2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie’s cottage is tastefully designed, spotlessly clean and well appointed for that special weekend away. The cottage is conveniently located with a short walk into Stanthorpe. Debbie responds quickly to emails/texts and makes your stay super easy to organize.

    Claire2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication, Debbie was happy to accommodate our extra requests. The cottage was very cute and had everything you needed. Allowing dogs is a massive win for us! We stayed just after the fires in Stanthrope and Debbie was very helpful leading up to the visit with our concerns. If anyone is having doubts about visiting Stanthrope because of the fires and drought - it is actually the perfect time. The locals need your support and everything is still open and operating.

    Cassie2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem of a place in Stanthorpe! It’s cozy and I wouldn’t attempt the spiral stairs alone after a few glasses of wine, but that would be my only proviso for future guests. It’s beautifully intimate and stunningly presented, with lovely little touches. Being quite a romantic setup - inside and out - I look forward to returning when it’s colder with a plus one and staying for more than one night. Debbie was a dream to deal with. Even though we didn’t meet face to face, she was very responsive before, during, and even after my stay. We really need to support this area. Local businesses are dying with the prolonged drought and now, of course, the fires.

The room setting is great with your own verandah, the tv room area is so cosy and all the thoughtful details in the room just make our stay very pleasant and wonderful. Breakfast was yummy and enjoyed having it at the verandah. Polly was great and gave us some good tips / advice. Thanks for a lovely time. Hope to go back one day

  • Polly and Lilly’s place was just lovely- a large older style house in an elevated area- the little tv room has a nice view of the granite outcrop- we even caught a glimpse of the old steam train passing by. Comfortable and homey, it’s the thoughtful touches that really made our stay great- lovely linen sheets, good quality towels, a coffee pod machine and nice selection of teas and the food provided for breakfast was beyond generous. It was pouring with rain when we arrived so we settled in and watched one of the many dvds on hand. All in all we would def stay here again!

    Brydee2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Polly and Lilly’s place is superb in every way. We’d definitely stay here again - welcoming, clean, lovely amenities, great value! Thank you!

  • Perfect space for a couple looking for a relaxing place to spend the night. The bed was comfy, and having the extra room with a tv and sofa was nice. My favourite part was waking up in the morning to the sounds of native birds, and sitting on our private verandah enjoying the morning sun.

  • The space that Polly and Lilly offer feels like a home away from home. They have furnished the place beautifully, and there are thoughtful little touches all around! We loved the local guidebook, and the croissants awaiting us in the fridge! It's a beautiful place, and a nice space to come back to at the end of your night.

  • This is a great little studio cottage situated close to wineries and hiking trails yet only a short drive to Stanthorpe that has everything. Very clean and perfectly set up accommodation for 1 or 2. Bev was a fantastic host and great to have a chat to. Daisy the dog is such a beautiful girl who wants to love you and play. Sit back with a herbal tea (provided) and watch the sunset over the surrounding granite rocks and national park. I had the BEST sleep ever. Thank you Bev and Daisy!

    James2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Bev's place was immaculate, peaceful and relaxing. Daisy the border collie is a bundle of joy and Bev was so thoughtful and engaging. The location is close enough to everything. Highly recommend this gem.

    Douglas2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Bev's place was perfect for a relaxing, de-stressing weekend away in the Southern Highlands. It was great to enjoy the cool nights, without the humidity that Brisbane has in February! We slept well in the comfortable bed and enjoyed the total peace and quiet that goes with staying somewhere down a remote country road. Bev will give you helpful hospitality if you have a little request (in our case - extra ice!), but she is a very discreet, unobtruxive host. There is a fire pit and a chimnea outside in the garden if you visit during the peak season when the nights are cold. Highly recommended !

Our council approved accommodation consist in three (one x bedroom)cottages Imagine the perfect country retreat and it would probably look something like 'Casita de Campo'. Peaceful, charming and cosy, the cottages are a graceful mix of period charm and modern facilities surrounded by 44 acres of vineyards and natural forest . We are happy to inform our guests that after the January 2020 rain our place is green and the water tanks are full.... so you can enjoy your spa ...Yeahhhh
Please note they are two separate cottages .Both 'Casita de Campo' and 'Casita de Bosque' cottages have a modern mood of harmony and restraint that replaces the traditional country look The one and two bedroom self contained cottages reveal a new, refreshing country style that is cleaner, purer, pared down to its essence. In both cottages we offer our guest handmade organic shower gel and soaps by Washpool.

  • Perfectly located to explore the Granite Belt. For foodies, Maria’s place offers everything you could need to create a gourmet feast from the fresh produce you collect during a day exploring. Normally we travel with condiments and trusted kitchen items, but the kitchen was so well stocked we didn’t need to. It’s a lovely setting and you relax immediately on entering the driveway. Maria’s basket with a home baked tea cake, fig jam, fruit and fresh eggs from their chooks was a lovely touch and much appreciated. We will certainly return.

  • Me and my partner spent three amazing nights at Casita de Campo and we could not have loved it more! The house is so beautiful and has the coziest vibe so we felt at home immediately. My highlight was to sit in front of the open fire in the beautiful living room and just listen to the sound of the fire. I honestly did not want to leave and go back home! Thank you again Maria, we would love to come back!

The Quarters is a small, and very private, self contained cabin. Separate bedroom has a very comfortable queen sized bed, and there are bunks in the living/lounge/kitchen area. Separate shower room with toilet. All beds have electric blankets, there's a good heater, fridge ,electric frypan, microwave, toaster, and hairdryer. Pretty much everything you need!
There is secure, undercover parking for a vehicle/motorbikes. The Farm is also host to some rescued wildlife (kangaroos, wallabies, wallaroos) as well as the world's biggest and naughtiest sheep, Bella, and some other extraordinary and crazy animals. Enjoy a fire in the firepit and take in the expansive night sky and stars on a clear night. It's magic.
  • Liz is a fantastic host. She kept us updated on local conditions and what was on. It’s lovely having all the farm animals close by.

    Adrian2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great place, we loved all the animals especially Gerry the sheep! Highly recommend staying here!

    Leisa2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay the animal feeding time was so much fun and we enjoyed Molly and Bella's visits. An experience and memories we will keep from our holiday.

  • This is a working farm, although at the time of visiting struggling with the drought. The Quarters are not modern, but they are clean and comfortable. Liz is the best host we have ever had in many Airbnb bookings! She is friendly, considerate and a mine of useful local knowledge. She is also an amazing cook! You will need to like animals as they are wandering around freely and are friendly and inquisitive. We loved them! Come and visit - you won't regret it!!

  • Liz is an excellent host - John, Liz and all the animals (too many to name) were very welcoming and extremely interesting. If you’re looking for a quiet piece of the country to relax then look no further. The kids didn’t want to come home.

    Andreas2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful tranquil stay, with all the perks of farm life, the kids loved feeding the pigs and all the friendly animals. The roast dinner and dessert was delicious. Liz was a wonderful host

    Kelsey2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Liz and John are very friendly. Great place to stay and would highly recommend the roast dinner option (only $20 extra and a great meal)

  • Such a friendly and generous host! Liz took great care of all of us and made us feel at home :) we were also lucky enough to cuddle and feed a baby wallaby! As well as chill out with lots of other farm and wild animals who obviously all know how lovely Liz and Jon are. A truely memorable Australian experience!

There is also a BBQ outside with a basket breakfast included in the tariff, plus tea, coffee, milk and sugar. The master bedroom has french doors opening onto the verandah. Both rooms have cosy blankets, doonas and electric blankets. Highchair and cot available on request.
  • Only a short drive out of Stanthorpe & Ballandean yet feels a million miles from anywhere. Amazing views of the countryside from the verandah, and out every window. Peacefully quiet, except for the birds. Super comfy beds. Strong hot shower. All you could need in the kitchen. Lovely to meet Pam, Kelvin & the Highland Cattle

  • Pam's place is delightful! The photos don't do it justice. It is a glorious place to come and curl up by the fire. I came with a friend for a low-key girl's weekend and it ws perfect, but would be equally lovely for a couple! It was nice to wander down the road through the farm each afternoon to chat with the gorgeous fluffy Highland Cattle, then go back to the cottage and snuggle under a blanket by the fire. The winery tours will collect you from the front gate of the property, so it is the perfect home base! You are only a short drive out of Stanthorpe so it is an easy run for supplies. There are breakfast supplies provided, and a decent kitchen with stovetop and microwave to cook up what you need. I highly reccomend Pam's place. We are both already planning a trip back!

  • Lynrose Place is very well equipped, in a quiet spot with bird and wildlife around. The grounds are well kept and interesting. The house is very clean and we appreciated the lovely bottle of wine that welcomed us.

  • What an incredible property! This house exceeded my expectations. It's in a wonderfully quiet yet central position, and is perfectly clean and tidy. The home has the charm of yesteryear properties paired with modern amenities, and it's stocked with everything you could possibly need, including a wide range of information about things to do in the area. The beds are fantastically comfortable, the gardens and grounds gorgeous, and the kitchen well stocked. The hosts were great communicators, and I'd happily stay here again. I definitely recommend Lynrose Place - it suits solo travellers, couples, groups of friends, and families. My parents and I had a fun long weekend exploring Stanthorpe and enjoyed being able to chill out at the house when not checking out the various nearby attractions.

  • I have stayed at Briar Cottages twice now. Debbie is a great host who goes out of her way to ensure you have everything you need to make your stay a great one. The cottages are immaculate clean, have lovely touches to make you feel at home and welcomed. Puppies are allowed which is a great bonus. Book a stay at one of the 3 cottages that Debbie provides and you won’t be disappointed.

    Rhonda2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Mulberry cottage is cosy, cute and comfy. A delightful place to stay in Stanthorpe. A very considerate host.

    Claire2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie was an excellent communicator and made everything, including check in, clear. Mulberry cottage was very clean and attractive. The weather was unseasonally warm and so the air-conditioning came in very handy. It was handy to town and had all the facilities we needed. If you are very sensitive to the sound of traffic it might bother you at some times with a handful of trucks going by but I thought it was light and quiet. I also think staying in Stanthorpe itself is good value for money.

    Eddo2019-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A pleasant stay .

    John2019-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • A delightful cottage with all amenities. Totally exceeded our expectations. Had a fully equiped kitchen including a stove and oven, & a large fridge and freezer. Beds & bedding were an absolute pleasure. We only stayed for 1 night, but it would be a great place for a longer stay. Even had a washing machine ... like I said ... all the comforts of home. Excellent!

    Kathryn2019-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the Mulberry Cottage for two nights in November. The cottage was clean, quaint and cosy with small touches like flowers, tea and Tim Tams adding a lovely touch. The cottage was well located and only a short stroll to the main centre. The beds were super comfy and we made use of the fireplace on a very cool night. The cottage is also pet-friendly which is a bonus. We had such a lovely time in Stanthorpe and would highly recommend staying here. Communication by Debbie was excellent and very responsive. Thanks again Debbie!

  • Lizzie’s hospitality was phenomenal despite extremely challenging circumstances. Lizzie was extremely responsive during our organising process even though we were experiencing troubles with air bnb - she also arranged our wine tour after we thought all tours were booked out but she had it booked and confirmed in the hour. On the weekend we were supposed to stay, bushfires were threatening the trip and even in a time where it would be completely understandable if she only focussed on her own safety, she was providing hourly updates for us and made sure everything ran smoothly till the end. I honestly cannot recommend this place highly enough. You will thank yourself three times for staying here.

  • We had a wonderful stay at the cottage at Ballandean. Leanne and Andy were very welcoming and helpful and we found everything we needed to make our stay just perfect. We had the perfect quiet Christmas away from the craziness of the festive season but close enough to everything if we wanted to venture out. I would highly recommend Leanne and Andy's cottage and their kindness and hospitality makes for a perfect Granite Belt experience.

    Pamela2019-12-27T00:00:00Z

My place is close to the town centre and parks. You’ll love my place because of the location, the outdoors space, the neighborhood, and the ambiance. There are 2 restaurants within 100 metres of cottage. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), and groups up to 6 people.
This quaint cottage built in the early 1900's is situated only a short 5 minute walk to the main street of Stanthorpe. Walking tracks, childrens playground and parklands are only a few minutes walk away. There is a large backyard for you to enjoy a game of backyard cricket or kick a ball around.
  • Great location and lovely home.

    Sarah2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely cottage-a delightful mix of old world charm and modern conveniences, in particular a second bathroom. Main suite was fabulous, and whilst we were understandably unable to use the spa because of the drought, Robert kindly compensated with a bottle of superb local Ballandean wine (thank you again). The rear deck is fully covered and perfect for get-togethers any time of the day/night. A walk into town over Quart Pot Creek is mere minutes, and gorgeous. We found the single beds to be too small for an adult however have been advised they are standard Australian sizing. We're looking forward to coming back in any case and would happily recommend this property, professionally hosted by Robert.

    Elissa2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • My family enjoyed this lovely, spacious cottage. There were good cooking facilities, and a sunny deck for outside breakfast. There was a good-sized back yard for kicking a ball or throwing a frisbee, and an enormous master bedroom.

  • Great stay at Apple Blossom Cottage. Self check in and out was easy. Robert popped over after we arrived to check in and give us some tips. Plenty of firewood and grateful for the electric blankets and reserve cycle air con in the bedrooms. Easy location within walking distance to the Main Street. Great touch with the brochure wall in the kitchen plus the visitor information centre just a few minutes walk away. Great that Robert provided us with a high chair for our toddler. For anyone with kids - great playground just a few minutes walk on the river!

    Corrine2019-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy, peaceful and private place to stay.

    Andrej2019-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Robert's cottage is great - excellent accommodation and facilities. We really enjoyed our 3 days at the cottage which is very well located within the town and it's an easy walk to restaurants and shops. The kitchen is very well equipped and the living areas including the back deck are very comfortable. The bedrooms and bathrooms are also of high quality. The self check-in process is simple and effective. Robert visited us shortly after we checked in to give us a run down on the cottage's facilities and to provide info on the local area. The wood fire in the lounge room is great.

  • I grew up in Stanthorpe and I remember Quart Pot Cottage from playing in the playground next door as a child. I always loved this little church and was delighted I was able to stay there when visiting Stanthorpe this winter. A lovely warm fireplace and a home full of character, especially loved the stained glass windows. The outdoor spaces were lovely and we used both depending on the time of day. It was especially peaceful on the deck overlooking Quart Pot creek parklands. With just a short walk to everything in town, we would definitely consider another visit. Thanks for a great stay.

  • Lovely spot. Cosy, private, quiet, comfortable, and with the fireplace, toasty warm even when the weather dropped below 0. My pup had a great time exploring the property. We couldn't connect to the wifi for some reason, and had no phone reception, but this was inconsequential and honestly pretty nice to disconnect. Jody was responsive in helping us try to get it sorted. Really good weekend.

  • We had a wonderful weekend staying at James and Mary-Ann’s Yurt. It was very easy to get to, and was close to a great number of wineries and National Parks. The Yurt itself was super clean, modern and stylish, which sets it apart from the traditional ‘cottage feel’, which is a welcomed change for the area. We will definitely be back!

    Natasha2018-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Namar yurt was very clean and fresh with everything we needed to be comfortable. We really enjoyed staying there as a base for walking at Giraween National Park. Thanks James and MaryAnn for having us!

  • The Cedar Cottage was beautiful - very well furnished and excellent location. It is spacious, the beds are extremely comfortable, and we were treated to a kangaroo sighting in the evening. The fireplace and barbecue also got a workout. Debbie was delightful to communicate with and was very welcoming. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

  • Deb's place is in a great location and even backs into an orchard, which is lovely to look at. Debbie has loads of cutlery and utensils in the kitchen, probably the best stocked kitchen I've found at an Airbnb. It really is your own little house, she has books and DVDs and it has a fireplace! Debbie is also super attentive with communication and makes sure you are happy. 😊

  • Great little private cottage only 5 minutes drive from Stanthorpe (don’t stay here if you want to walk into town!) but with so many wineries and a pub so close it was an ideal location. But the best bit was Janene and Scott’s hospitality. In particular scott let us have a quick go on the quad bike. Above and beyond what we expected - thanks guys!
