  • My family and I stayed at the cabin and loved it! Our son is 5 years old and was so excited that the cabin had a bridge upstairs between the two bedrooms. We used the fire pit both nights that we were there and even saw a few deer while we were enjoying the fire. He has a great set up outside. There’s a pavilion with a grill and smoker, a sink and plenty of prep space. There’s concrete under the pavilion that extends out and around the fire pit. The cabin was perfect for our family. The stairs/ladder was fine for our 5 year old but may be kind of tricky for younger children. The kitchen was small but worked great for easy meals and prep. There’s basic kitchen supplies provided. We are already talking about returning to the cabin for another weekend getaway!!

    Gina2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for a secluded place to get away from it all! This place was perfect. The outdoor space was great, fire pit, plenty of firewood, charcoal and grills, and the cabin itself was amazing and clean. The owner stopped in and was super friendly and we can’t wait to go back. The pics don’t do their justice!

    Casie2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Cabin in the pines was perfect! We had a great family weekend-our stay was even better than expected! We'll be back!

  • Lance is a great host. He was very responsive to my messages, including tips on places to raft. The location is very secluded which is what my family loves!!! Very isolated. Lance forewarned us that there is no cell service. That is very true for the area so take snapshots/write down directions bc you are on your own. Don’t bring any kids that you aren’t comfortable climbing up a “ladder.” The stairs to the upstairs loft are very steep. My kids did great but if it’s something that doesn’t make you comfortable, don’t go. Air conditioner is loud. If you can’t sleep with Loud noises, this isn’t the place for you. Outside of that, no complaints. There is coffee pot, filters, bowls, coffee cups, toilet paper, paper towels, sheets/bedding, towels. There were even seasonings (salt/pepper/seasonings). The location (seclusion) was amazing!!!! There is a great fire pit outside, grill, plenty of chairs, firewood, covered patio area. The space was bigger than expected. It’s located on 50 acres and next to national Forrest. This is an AMAZING hunting spot if Lance allows it. Even has a cleaning tree. We saw deer when we arrived. Great great place for kids to be kids without all the technology and worldly stuff to distract them. We had a great time. We intend to be back with our ATVs to ride the property. Absolutely loved the spot.

  • The pavilion was perfect. It was so great for our stay and being able to utilize the outdoors available at this cabin. The cabin was great. Plenty of space. Comfortable sleeping. Squeaky clean. Lance was easy to work with.

  • My husband and I stayed here for a few days while visiting family and it was perfect! It was a very convenient and stylish apartment. The bed and couch were super comfortable and the washer and dryer came in handy since we stayed for multiple days. I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Farmington!

  • This was my 3rd stay at this gem! Each time I feel as if I’m “home.” The apartment is so cozy and has many personal touches and unique characteristics! The exposed beams in the bedroom are my favorite!!! You can not go wrong with this one!

    Martha2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • I’m a traveling PT and have been staying at various places for the last couple of weeks and this is my favorite! The location is perfect and the bed was super comfortable which was a pleasant surprise. Patrick was an amazing host and lets you know he’s there for whatever needs you may have yet his attention to detail makes that highly unlikely. I hope to stay again soon and for longer.

    Peaceful and cozy farm life
DC Farmhouse is located on 150 acre cattle and horse farm. Great place to relax and enjoy country living. You can sit outside on covered deck or in the hot tub while watching horses and cattle graze. Only 15 minutes from Castor river. Only 4 miles from Fredericktown on a paved road. Just a short drive to restaurants, wineries, state parks, shopping, golf course, and ice skating during the winter months.
  • This Farmhouse was PERFECT for our moms weekend away! We wanted something private (the only eyes on us were some cows and horses 😂), we had a fully stocked kitchen (even a crock pot and foreman grill), plenty of blankets and pillows for lounging and two bottles of wine ready to be popped open! When we discovered the blow dryer wasn’t working, Elizabeth came quickly to our rescue. She gave us tips on everything from where to take a beautiful hike to where the local bar was to have a drink! I personally don’t think the pictures do the listing justice. It was beautiful!

    Leslie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth's place is a diamond in the rough. Definitely give it a shot. It's quiet and peaceful, clean and well stocked with everything you will need for a wonderful stay. Sit on the porch and watch the cows grazing in the field or cook a home cooked meal and listen to the birds in the trees. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need. From a crock pot to measuring spoons and cups to mixing bowls and bakeware. Yet you are close enough to town to visit a local restaurant if you don't wish to cook. The hot tub is a perfect touch. We enjoyed it every single day we were there. The bed in the master bedroom was firm but comfortable. Extra pillows and blankets were available if we needed them. Elizabeth was available for anything we needed at a moment's notice. Since we stayed over Valentine's weekend she even left us a bottle of wine, a box of delicious chocolates and rose petals on the bed. Such nice touches. Thank you, Elizabeth, for an amazing stay. We can't wait to bring our boys back to your farmhouse to meet your cows and horse!

    Julie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures do not do this gem justice! Absolutely wonderful Stay, we can wait to go back! Elizabeth welcomed us with wine and chocolates for Valentines Day and the recliners forced me to sit for a minute (which was much needed). The gas stove made cooking fun, and the hot tub relaxed the aches away, I’m sad I was too much of a baby to brave the cold and check out the animals but, they were beautiful to watch from inside! The small details made this such a memorable stay! Thank you again! ❤️

The cottage is also seated right in the middle of five state parks where are you can enjoy nature at its best. Joan2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • A truly wonderful place. Spectacular midwestern view. Everything you need. Very clean and comfortable. Better than I dreamed.

    Kathleen2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing Birthday/babymoon with my husband. This stylish yet simplistic cabin made our getaway so relaxing. We brought a cast iron skillet and cooked on the grill for almost every meal. There were wedding receptions both nights we stayed and we could see the lights and barely hear the speeches from the deck as we sat on the porch swing. Gave us something cool to look at after the amazing sunsets but not bothersome in the least! We loved sitting on the porch swing each night with some music playing and watching the sunsets. We also went to the shutins at castor river and ate at the depot cafe in town, both of which we highly recommend. This was a perfect quiet getaway for us. Thank you!

    Alyssa2019-09-09T00:00:00Z

Nice size front porch with ceiling fan and seating. There are 3 hammocks and fire pit in front yard with a small pay area for kids. A Back yard deck with two outdoor tables, a swing looking out to the river. Near mill stream gardens, just a nice float downstream. Sandy front on rivers edge for relaxation. Tall beautiful trees and gorgeous flowers abound.

  • A lot of privacy, secluded but not too far from small town with restaurants and shopping. Very nice view from cabin to St. Francis river. Many nice places to see around. We had a problem with water pressure in the house and Mr. Lance was very responsive and problem was resolved within an hour. We enjoyed our stay.

    Peter2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic property, was extremely secluded and private which is what we were looking for. The inside of the cabin was extremely comfortable and modern with a great kitchen and sun room. Would absolutely stay here again.

  • Lance’s cabin was Great! It was super clean and had everything we needed. It’s very remote, quiet, and peaceful, and was just a short drive to the black river where we went tubing. We brought our kayaks along as well and did some kayaking nearby. We would not hesitate to stay again. It was wonderful!!

    Jennifer2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect property for a relaxing getaway. House was clean and comfortable, and host was quick to reply to any questions we had. The river spot is pretty calm, and the current isn't very strong. Definitely would come back!

    Anna2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Lance was a wonderful host and was a very good communicator through the booking process. Unfortunately, the river was too high for us to enjoy the kayaks(which is one of the main purposes of the trip), but Lance was wonderful to give us other suggestions of things to do in the area and was also willing to let us leave a day early and gave us a full refund for the night. The lay out of the house gave us all privacy and plenty of bathroom space. I would highly recommend!

  • This little apartment was perfect for my wife and my 2 night stay in Farmington! Joan was super helpful and quick to respond! Her place is beautifully decorated and clean! The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were SO soft! The walk in shower is pretty cool! There could have been a bit more kitchen supplies(better knives, cutting boards, baking sheets). But we got by just fine with what was there! We were in town doing some hiking at Elephant Rocks State Park, Johnson Shut Ins, and Taum Sauk Mountain. The apartment was 30-40 minutes away from all of that. The neighborhood is rural, safe, cute, and has that sweet country town feel. The little town has several shops that are fun to browse in. There’s ColJac Artisan Cafe just steps away which is nice. We also went to Elemental CrossFit just a couple blocks away! The gym is awesome and the people were very friendly! Thanks Joan for the beautiful stay! Your place is lovely!

  • Exactly as advertised!! Very central to anything you could want to do in the area. Great place!! Very well decorated. I will stay for sure again!!

  • The community was wonderfully quiet and suite A was spotless. Could have eaten off the floors, no odors, great shower control, nice surprise and loved the European style shower and toilet set up (shower on one side of the side of hall in one room, toilet and face bowl on other side in another room). A very nice surprise. Temp regulation also very excellent with water and environment as a whole. The bedroom was really comfy with soft, clean linen, great mattress and pillows. Perfect, just TV access a little challenging, but overall perfect everything.

The Silo Farm Haus is a one of a kind grain silo custom designed into a beautiful, rustic home that sits on a 200 acre farm located in the heart of Sainte Genevieve wine country! The house has nearly 800 sq ft of a truly unique, round house experience. An upstairs, spacious loft features a queen size bed, & antique furniture. Downstairs has a full size eat-in kitchen, laundry room, bathroom and cozy living room. An air mattress is available to sleep 2 guests in the living room.
The Silo Farm Haus is tucked away on a beautiful farm, just off B highway, with serene views of rolling hills and farm life. The Silo Farm Haus was an original grain bin, located on the farm for many years, storing grain up until just a few years prior to the start of the project! Plenty spacious for 4 guests to enjoy, Silo Farm Haus has 1 bedroom, located upstairs with queen bed. Upon request, an air mattress can accommodate 2 additional guests to sleep in the living room located on first floor. There is a full size eat-in kitchen, laundry room, bathroom and living room with TV. There is plenty of room on the front porch for 4 guests to enjoy relaxing and visiting, and a nice, large yard for space for grilling, games, and fun times. Please note, due to space, there would be minimal spacing for seating in the living room after air mattress is set up. Due to this, air mattress would be set up by guests, and the provided linens would need to be set up at the time they wished to set up the bed, owner will not be setting up prior to guest arrival, as this would not allow for the guests to enjoy the space in the living room for relaxing. Due to the entire house being open, privacy is more limited, there is a privacy screen provided for guests to use in the upstairs, loft bedroom if needed.
The Silo Farm Haus is centrally located between Sainte Genevieve and Farmington, minutes away from 9 local wineries, breweries and an award winning restaurant. Chaumette Vineyards & Winery is only 3.5 miles away, Crown Valley Winery is 1 mile away, and Crown Valley Brewing and Distilling is only 1.5 miles away (many others just minutes away). Just 13 mi from Farmington, with shops and restaurants to suite anyone's taste. Or, take a short drive in the other direction to historical downtown Sainte Genevieve to visit their downtown shops and restaurants. You could visit one of the nearby antique malls that are a short drive away, hike one of the nearby walking trails at Hawn State Park, Pickle Springs or Hickory Canyon, or bring your bike to take a ride through beautiful, local scenery. The Silo Farm Haus sits in a quiet, serene area on part of a 200 acre, private farm.
  • It was a lovely getaway! The place was beautiful inside and out with so much thought put into our stay by the host.

    Samantha2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Silo Farm Haus is amazing!!! You will love everything about it! They thought of everything with this place. So cute and comfortable and Jessica left us chocolate covered strawberries which was perfect for our Valentines weekend getaway. Highly recommend and would return for sure!

    Rhonda2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and cute place! Just what we needed for a quick getaway!

    Heather2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the silo was amazing. Everything was spotless and comfortable, seasonal decorations were an amazing touch. This was one of the best appointed places we have stayed, there was nothing we lacked. There were many personal touches, checkin was seamless. There’s much to do outdoors in this area...plenty of awesome hiking and just down the road from the Crown Ridge tiger sanctuary (that’s right...tigers!) Many wineries and yummy places to eat. There was really nothing lacking. Thanks so much to our hosts.

    Chris2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Where to even begin.... Due to our great experience at the Silo Farm Haus, it will be difficult for any Air BnB to live up to the same standards in the future. Before even booking Jessica was fast to reply to any questions and went above and beyond in helping with ideas for things to do while in the area. Upon arriving we were greeted by a personalized hand written sign as well as a greeting card and delicious homemade cookies. This is by far our favorite Air BnB that we’ve ever stayed in. I would gladly stay here again in the future and hope to again one day.

  • Peaceful and beautiful location with a thoughtful, gracious host.

    Barbara2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • I couldn't be happier that I chose to stay at the Silo. It's a super close get away from St Louis. The Silo is the coolest place ever. The workmanship that went into this place is top notch. It's decorated super cute. The owners didn't pinch pennies with their final touches (bedding, kitchen utensils, etc). I know this is a new place, but it was just so clean (which I really appreciated). One of my absolute favorite things about staying here was the bedroom. Wow! The bed is super comfy, the pillows are good, and the bedding made me sleep like a baby. Nice sheets, blankets, and the comforter is so heavy and easy to just snuggle up in (I have already been on a mad search trying to find the exact thing). The property is beautiful and peaceful. We used the fire pit & enjoyed smores that Jessica left for us. Watched the sun go down. Listened to the cows moo. Heard the coyotes once the sun went down. Fed the catfish. Worth every penny! We went to the brewery/distillery that is a few miles down the road for a late lunch. Great views & the pizza was so delicious.

    Michelle2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Do yourself a favor and stay here! You won’t be disappointed by the cozy space and peacefulness. Jessica has thought of the everything, communicates quickly, and overall makes your stay perfect.

Delightful cabin on 1250 acres. Hiking over entire property, bird watching, biking, horse ridding on your horses. Short drive to many wineries and breweries in area, such as Chaumette Winery. Totally quite and peaceful. Outdoor patio and firepit.
  • We have stayed here four times. We loved the fenced in yard for the dog and all of the amenities. The large wooded lot is fun to explore though a bit muddy. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The horses are friendly too. Great stay.

    Patrick2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We have stayed here three times and plan to return. A lovely place with lots of space. The dog loves it too!! Friendly and helpful hosts.

    Patrick2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect getaway, so quiet, lots of nature and beautiful scenery, a cozy cabin, and a host that cares a lot. We just wish we had more time to stay.

    Kurt2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is a dream! It is very evident the level of care and attention that is put into maintaining this place. So many thoughtful touches abound -- my little nieces who were staying with me even received halloween themed welcome bags full of goodies. This part of Missouri is beautiful, and there's no better place to experience it than through stay here.

    Patrick2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • A cozy cabin in an incredibly beautiful setting, this is definitely a place for calm, comfy retreat. The warmth of the decor, comfort of the chairs, couches & beds, and freshness of the nature around the cabin was magical. Plenty of property to wander, and so many options for off-property adventures like hiking at beautiful Pickle Springs and going to on of many wineries around, or popping into town for a coffee or snack. Such a wonderful location not too far from St. Louis, but just far enough to really be in tranquil nature. The fire pit was perfect for s'mores and patio was so lovely with little lights strung around! If you want a perfect cabin getaway that's still got grocery stores not too far and things to do nearby, this place is your answer. Jeannie was very sweet and very easy to communicate with, promptly answering questions before we came to stay and making sure we had everything we needed. We only wish the weekend could have lasted longer! Thank you Jeannie & Clinton for welcoming us to such a special gem of a place!

    David2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We rented the place for our first anniversary. As soon as we walked in, we were thrilled to see the Christmas themed cabin, which is decorated tastefully. Clinton made us feel very welcome, with a beautiful cake, bottle of wine and a sweet hand written note! I can’t wait to go back with my girlfriends. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

    Preetha2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for a quite cabin in nature to go hiking, see Missouri nature and nearby Pickle Springs. Jeannie and Clinton's far exceeded our expectations. Lovely cabin in nature and Jeannie's hospitality was amazing, even leaving little gift for out kids to find on arrival. We have stayed at airbnb's all over the world and I think this is the best we have stayed at. Thank you for our lovely weekend.

    Jane2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here! Jeannie and Clinton were wonderful hosts! They left some treats for the kids since they knew we had children with us- such a thoughtful touch. We loved the huge dining table with bench seating for meal times, and also took advantage of the washer and dryer. The place is well stocked with kitchen essentials. There is an awesome porch area with a fire pit, lounge chairs, table, and beautiful stringed lights! There are two bathrooms, both small, the one in the master bedroom has a shower, while the other one only has a bathtub (this was fine for our needs). The house is decorated with Christmas decorations and lots of nick-nacks. While we were here we visited a winery (5 or 10 minutes away), Elephant Rocks state park (45 minutes away), and the Johnson’s Shut-In’s (1 hour away). It’s a 1 hour 45 minute drive from the St. Louis airport. Overall I’d absolutely recommend this place.

Enjoy your stay in a 1967 vintage camper named the Dragonfly! This cute little 12 foot camper has what you need to unplug & relax - hiking trails, small fishing pond, fire pit with load of wood & roasting sticks, hammock, picnic table, swings, & seesaws. Air conditioning/heat, microwave, small fridge, vintage gas stove, hardwood floors, indoor bathroom with shower, plus cute outdoor shower provided. Muffins, fruit, milk, juice, coffee, & tea provided 1st day of your stay.
This small, cozy camper is tucked in the woods and perfect for 2 adults and/or small child. The dining table converts into a single bed and the back sofa converts into a small double bed. Your bedding includes freshly ironed vintage pillow cases. Record player with vinyl records, croquet set, board games, coloring sheets, fishing poles and bait provided. Get back to your roots with old fashioned fun and plenty of nature to explore. Listen to the hoot owls and croaking frogs at night while star gazing by the crackling fire. There is no phone or internet service but you will have access one mile up the road. I share a right-of-way gravel lane with my neighbors who live not too far away and you may occasionally hear a distant lawn mower, etc.
There are many local state parks, unique eating places, churches and antique shops. You can experience climbing a fire tower close by, picking blueberries, visiting an old order Mennonite grocery store, county fair, petting zoo, water park, tiger sanctuary, race track, family fun center, golfing, scuba diving in a mine, and rodeos.
  • Cutest place ever! Just as pictured!! Loved my short stay wish I would’ve made it longer.

  • Gay Ann’s camper, property and hospitality are one of a kind! Awesome, peaceful and generally wonderful place! I had a great weekend relaxing by a camp fire, reading in the hammock, living in her kitty cat Gravy and listening to old records on her record player. My advice to you all is book a weekend to stay at The Dragonfly!

    Michelle2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The Dragonfly camper was beautiful and peaceful! It was our favorite Air bnb experience yet. The decor and all of the special touches were so impressive and appreciated. After sleeping in a tent for a few days the camper was a special treat for us. The outdoor shower was amazing after a hot day of hiking . Thank you!

Perfect launching location for day trips to area parks, and historic attractions - Hawn State, Pickle Springs, St Joe State, Missouri Mines, Millstream Gardens, Arcadia Valley, Ste. Genevieve. Don't forget the many award winning wineries along the Route de Vin, including Chaumette, Charleville and Twin Oaks. For local home grown food options, check out the Farmer's Market, the Amish Market and Liberty Blueberry Farms.
  • The stay has been fantastic. I needed somewhere to call home for myself and 2 kids for at least a month for the remodel of my home, and Sally and her bungalow have been fantastic. She has been so accommodating and thoughtful. She is very quick to respond and jump to action if there is any issue. And the house is very nicely stocked with essentials. I don't have any complaints and would highly recommend :)

Our 120+ acre farm is 7 miles south of Fredericktown in a quiet area down a LONG driveway. Very private with the exception of our family (normally only two people). The camping spot is TOTALLY private. It sits along a spring fed creek that you can float around in (or take a bath in). The spring is about 4 feet deep max. The water is cool and great for a warm day and very clean except after rain. In this area we will provide a firepit and unlimited firewood. Car cannot cross! We can help.
You also have access to private trails in our woods and a very scenic fire pit with unlimited firewood. The house is a bit of a walk from the camping spot but you can come down and use the wifi, charge your devices, or use the restroom if you would like. In the event of heavy rain you may not be able to cross the creek and can stay in any of the other numerous good camping spots on our farm. You can also stay inside of our barn if you desire. Just make sure to bring padding as the barn has concrete floors. A 4 person tent can be provided if you do not have one.
We are out in the middle of nowhere. When the sky is clear and the moon is low the Milkyway is visible. It's a great place to watch the stars and listen to nature! There are also many great state and national parks in the area. 10 miles from Amadon. Close to a new winery.
  • This was a great camping spot! We had an experience you really couldn't get at a campground- it was secluded and we had tons of space to ourselves. We had some trouble finding the area (didn't realize that more specific directions were in the check-in screen), but luckily Connie spotted us and caught up with our car. She showed us where we could park, helped us pack our things in a side-by-side to get them to the campsite, and brought us fresh flowers and an inflatable raft. We had messaged her ahead of time that we were bringing a rescue dog who is people-selective, so she was very conscious of not getting in his way, which we appreciated. He absolutely loved playing in the creek and rolling in the dirt, and so did we (the first part, anyway). We did discover that he's scared of the dark, and there were no lights around- great for seeing the stars, not so much for him- so I'd suggest bringing a lantern. Also make sure to bring lots of fresh water for drinking/dishes. We saw tons of wildlife, and were able to explore the creek like I used to when I was a kid. Overall this was a unique experience that was private without being totally isolated from people.

    Carrie2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great! We made camp down by the creek and it was perfect! Creek is nice and shaded and provides best place to cool down and explore. Loved all of the butterflies, it’s truly a special place! Note: if you want to camp by the creek you do need a vehicle that can cross over it to access the site. We weren’t able to cross but the hosts were super helpful and loaded all our gear in ATV and dropped it off.

  • This was our second time staying at Dickens Lodge and it was just as great as the first time. Thanks to Monica for always being available for questions and having such a great place for us to stay.

  • What a restful vacation. Nice to get away from the bustle of city life. The facilities and amenities are excellent. The scenery is beautiful. Worth the trip.

  • We loved having somewhere for 5 adults and 11 kids to stay, while visiting the area and connecting with our relatives! Plenty of beds, SO many toys for the kids to use, and a laundry room were big benefits for our group - not to mention being able to let the kids run around outside! There was pet hair on the furniture, etc, so just a note for anyone with a pet allergy. We enjoyed our stay - thanks!!

    Heidi2019-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was a trip that I was not looking forward to because it was for my mother's funeral but being able to fit 10 adults comfortably so we could be surrounded by family and loved ones and be in beautiful peaceful surroundings definitely made a hard situation easier. I would definitely recommend to anyone! Thank you very much!

  • Dickens Farm is a lovely refuge from the fast pace of City Life. It's close enough to civilization that groceries and entertainment are near enough if you're wanting to partake, but secluded enough for a quiet weekend away. The home itself is spacious, cozy, and beautiful, and Monica was very hospitable in allowing such a large group as ours to stay. All of my group agreed that we will be staying again in the future if possible!

  • We loved our stay at Cash Lodge! Beautiful private property lots of amenities and extra touches like snacks and necessities for cooking as well as a pre-built fire- ready to go. We hiked, swam and fished in the lake and roasted marshmallows and admired the stars far from the city lights. Wonderful communication and eager to accommodate any requests. We’ve stayed in both Taylor and Cash lodge and loved them both!

  • We had an awesome weekend at Dan’s place. Our family rented both houses on the property and had so much fun swimming/lounging on dock, playing in our kayaks, fishing, campfires, and a day trip to Amidon shut ins. The house was nice and clean and we made a pact to do this every year! We will definitely return!

  • Dan's place was amazingly beautiful. My husband and I loved to sit on the private dock in the evenings and gaze at the most beautiful display of stars we have ever seen. We took full advantage of the property's beauty by fishing day and night and swimming in the private lake. The house was fully stocked with everything you needed to prepare meals. We had the most relaxing time enjoying the beauty of the property and the privacy this oasis has to offer. We did not want to leave.

  • This place is even more breathtaking than the photos. What an absolute dream stay, with a truly thoughtful host. Every amenity you could have needed is provided, and we felt completely at home for the whole stay. It was difficult to leave this paradise! This spot is a must-visit, you won’t regret it!

  • Dan's place is amazing. We rented both places so Grandma and the nephews could come. We had the whole propery to ourselves. What a blast! Great lake that stays cool all summer. Amazing stars at this place, enjoy them on the dock after dinner. Roasted marshmallows by the fire. Caught fish off the dock with the kids. Close to a great conservation area.

    Justin2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • The property is gorgeous! We enjoyed sitting on the dock fishing and swimming in the lake. The seating on the dam was perfectly placed to watch the sunset each night. There are trails in the woods and plenty of property to ride and play on. We rented both houses on the property, both were stocked with everything you needed for the weekend including cute little snack baskets on the tables as a welcome gift. I would definitely recommend checking the place out!

  • My husband and I are in love with the beautiful scenery and cozy comforts the lodge provides. We have visited twice now. You truly get away from it all. The lodge has everything you need: privacy, beautiful scenery, full kitchen and cookware to prepare any meal you like, a beautiful deck that provides full view of the stars and the lake, bbq grills for outdoor cooking, outdoor seating for dining, a firepit stocked with firewood, a fireplace inside for relaxing, and comfy sleeping arrangements. We really enjoyed fishing on the lake and listening to nature sounds while enjoying our campfire in the evening. Dan is only a phone call away and is quick to respond to all your needs or questions. I miss it already. This is by far the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at.

  • Recently visited for the weekend for a bachelorette party & wine weekend getaway! This house was everything we could imagine and more. Beautiful and very clean. The living room area was perfect for games on the couch (which was comfy). The beds themselves were excellent for sleeping. The location is perfect for visiting the wineries or just a weekend getaway. Cell phone reception was limited but is what made our weekend better. Our party rented the Ste. Gen. Trolley so we all weren't drinking and driving. All car pulled to a nearby winery and we trolleyed and wine hopped all day then all got home safe. The hosts were great at communicating with us and very helpful with location and suggestions for wineries. I would 110% recommend staying here for a weekend getaway. Great prices, Great location, & Great time with Great people... what more could you ask for?!?! We will be back!!!

    Stephanie2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our recent stay at the Roost was awesome! We had a group of couples in town for a winery wedding and the cabin was perfect!! Gabe was responsive to questions, the house was as big as described and would without a doubt stay here again. Highly recommend! Be aware there is no WiFi and no cell coverage but that is what it is and not a bad thing, just something to be aware of.

    Steven2019-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • This house is so cozy we didn’t want to leave! The location is perfect - so close to several of the best wineries. Gabe was a great host, and our experience couldn’t have been smoother.

  • We stayed here the night of our wedding which was amazing and so romantic. There are many beautiful wedding venues and wineries nearby so perfect for wedding nights and date nights or even just a girls getaway weekend. The place was BEAUTIFUL! The jacuzzi tub was HUGE and had a nice cozy fireplace heater in front of it. By far the best bath I’ve ever had! Connie made the most AMAZING breakfast spread for us and was extremely hospitable. You can meat new people at the breakfast table or have breakfast delivered to your room. It was the most perfect way to end our night 😊
