  • It has been an absolute pleasure to live in this apartment, my girlfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves staying here for 2 weeks! David and Gaye showed us such great hospitality and made it easy to settle down. The location is very good, calm area and 15 min walk from the station which provides such an easy transport to the center of Melbourne - no problems making our way around every corner in the city. The apartment is so nicely furnished and decorated, it felt like it could be our own home. Highly recommend this wonderful place - thank you so much!

    A comfy and clean room. Located closely to two shopping strips with supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and pharmacies and more. Easy public transport, with a tram stop directly outside the residence and a train station a 5 minute walk away. The CBD is only a 20 minute drive or 20 minute train ride. The residence is also a 5 minute drive from Chadstone.
    FREE WiFi and kitchen appliances only for simple cooking. The room comes with a 32" Smart TV. Digital TV is difficult to access but there is a Netlfix account ready for you to use. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. Please note that the house has another room that is being listed. We also have a very friendly border collie 'Bailey'. There is one bathroom and one toilet in the house; shared between guests and us.

    A great place to stay for a group of 3!! My garage has been converted into a room with lots of space. The room includes a double bed, a wardrobe, a double seater sofa bed, and a coffee table. My place is a 10 minute walk from Glen Huntly station; approximately 20 minutes train ride to the city. The tram stop; route 67 is out of the front of my place. Carnegie Main Street (Koornang Road) is a 10 minute walk away. There are a variety of cheap Asian restaurants along the main street.
    FREE WiFi and kitchen appliances for simple cooking. The room comes with a 65" SMART TV with a Chromecast device. Netflix is also available with an account already logged in. My place is ideal for a group of three or even couples. We also have a border collie 'Bailey'. Guest(s) will have to pass through a small open courtyard (where the clothesline is located) to the room. There are one bathroom and one toilet in the house; shared between the guests and us.

    Stay at our Ormond local nest. You will feel a sense of calm once you step foot into our 1 bedroom, cosy abode. It is the perfect retreat to escape to after exploring Melbourne. With all the essentials you will need to enjoy a little or long stay our Ormond local nest is the perfect base. 13km to CBD, 8km to St Kilda Beach and 10km to Chapel St South Yarra. All day parking and local public transport with in walking distance.
    The Space Upon arriving you will walk into an open plan kitchen and living area with separate bedroom that contains a Queen size bed and unsuited bathroom. Apartment building has communal laundry mat facility at the back of the building that is paid per use. There is a dedicated car spot undercover available for 1one car. Additional Info Portacot and Highchair can be provide on request Free of charge for families with young children.
    If you want to explore Ormond there are some great eatery's with in a short 10-15 minute walk. Lots of local parks and family friendly Cafe's near by.

  • Aaron’s little nest was our perfect port in the storm during President’s Cup weekend! We needed a comfy bed and convenient location not too far from Royal Melbourne Golf Club to crash after long days out walking and it suited us just right. Even better, there was an IGA + liquor in walking distance around the corner and a killer cafe for breakfast. Easy and cheap to get around to local restaurant spots in Elsternwick and Elwood too. Highly recommend for anyone attending golf tournaments at Black Rock as it only takes 15 minutes tops by car to arrive, so much better than trekking in from the city :)

    My home is a two-storey newly built house. My husband and I lives on the ground floor. We'll share the main entrance but we have our own private space separated by a door. Each private bedroom on the 2nd floor is spacious with big beds and large closet space. There are 3 bathrooms that will be shared and allocated for the guests. Its about 5-10minutes walk to Caulfield station, Monash University, tram stop going to city and buses to Chadstone shopping centre and to other locations.

Nice location too as train stations(Caulfield, Carnegie, Glenhuntly) are just walking distance. Plus, the biggest shopping centre(Chadstone) in Melbourne is pretty close to the area.     The apartment has got a private room, a front yard for catching some sunlight, sits 250m away from bus stand, 500m away from a tram station and 1 km away from train station. Has got a 24*7 Woolworths store in the nearby suburb and 2 different Woolworths store in the same suburb. Nearby you can find a really nice park if you’d like to go out for a run. All the restaurants chain is less than a 1 km away from home. No air conditioner in the room. We have fans inside the rooms and there is an air conditioner in the living room!
    Bus stand..250m Tram stop..500m Station...1.5km Park...500m Restaurants...750m Supermarket...1km and 1.5km, also a 24*7 store in the attached suburb which is also like 3km Monash uni...takes 6 minutes by car..will take 15-20 minutes other wise The fashion capital- Chadstone shopping centre in just 3 kms

  • Jim is a thoughtful host who is always looking to help make his guests' stays as best as possible. Jim's flat is quirky and cozy. It's in a safe neighborhood and easy to get to public transport. It's also a quick ride on the train to get to the Melbourne CBD, so if you're looking for a quiet neighborhood outside of the hustle and bustle of the inner city Jim's place is a great option. I really appreciated that the flat had a homey touch with amenities like an iron, cookware, blowdryer, etc. Jim went above and beyond to help me out with a few extra that I'm sure he can't promise to everyone, but he helped me with transport a few times and also laundry when I needed it. Jim is such a friendly and personable host that it was great fun to catch brunch together and a part of my trip I truly treasured. It was a pleasure to get to know him and I hope that we will stay in touch. I highly recommend a stay with Jim. If I return to Melbourne I will definitely look to stay here again!

  • If you wish to stay at an apartment that you can have all to yourselves, Jim's place is the best place to stay. It's quite a walk going to the train station but not a hassle at all. Not even too far from the city. Jim provides for your basic needs like toiletries. Kitchen's almost complete and neat. The place is also very clean when we arrived. We weren't able to meet him in person 'cause he's out of the country during our stay but still he managed to be very helpful to us. He left instructions and tips, he even lent us myki cards. He gave us plenty of blankets as well, it was winter in AU when we stayed. Also the community is a quiet place, surely you'll have the privacy you want. Overall we loved our stay.

    This hotel style room gives you total independence and freedom. You can come and go as you please without disturbing anyone. Situated 10-15 minutes walk from either Glen Huntly or Ormond stations, 5 minutes to bus to Chadstone and 2 minutes from a cool local shopping strip with cafe, laundrette, post office, hairdresser and convenience store, this place is ideal. Behind the property is the E E Gunn Reserve with jogging track, sports ground and picnic and BBQ facilities.
    A great cafe, shops, coin laundrette and Post Office are at the end of the street. We are also only a few blocks from a major supermarket and a great shopping strip with cafes and services.

  • Janet's place is what it is. Simple, easy, clean, reasonably priced. A bit bright in the bedroom, as there are no curtains or shades for french doors opening to the deck outside. Also, remember to bring your linen (towels, sheets etc.). As none are provided. It is definitely a nice, quiet, tidy place though. Enjoy!

Stroll on down to Booran Reserve- Glen Huntly’s multi-million dollar kid/adult/kidult friendly recreation reserve and nature wonderland.   • Shae's one bedroom apartment is a small gem in Glenhuntly. It's one of the best Airbnb places we've stayed in over the past 9 years. Shae has got just about everything right; a lot of thought has gone into everything; the environmentally friendly products, the string bags and umbrella at the door, the mini ironing board and portable fan the hanger for small items and even a tiered shelf so food items can be easily seen. The apartment is also tastefully decorated and has indoor plants - it is a relaxing and very pleasant space to be in. It was also spotlessly clean and even more importantly, all the fittings, lights, toilet and shower worked perfectly, something that we've found is not always the case with Airbnb places. Our only suggestion would be the need for a small table and chairs, even if these are fold up ones. And as others have noted, Shae's communication was nearly always quick and very friendly. Overall, we were very happy to have found Shae's 'little gem' in Glenhuntly and will certainly return. David and Vilaisan

  • We loved staying in Shae's apartment. It's light, bright and very stylish as well as super clean and very welcoming. Shae is a brilliant host who has thought of everything - she's clearly used to staying in Airbnbs herself so she fully understands what works best for her guests. We were lucky enough to stay for nearly 3 weeks and we loved every minute of our time there; we felt very at home. It's also really convenient for the train and tram and there are plenty of places to eat within a few meters and a 24 hour Woolworths a couple of minutes away. We can also highly recommend the Bar Royal just across the road beside the station (great atmosphere and good Happy Hour offers with a quiz night on Tuesdays). We highly recommend staying at Shae's apartment - we'll definitely be back when we're next in Melbourne.

    Updated light filled apartment in quiet residential street. Super convenient location to shops, cafe and parks. This unit is free standing, and is privately tucked away at the rear of our home. Public transport including tram, train and bus a short walk away. We are located just one train stop to Caulfiled Monash University, and a short bus ride to bus interchanges at Chadstone Shopping Centre and Oakleigh. Parking is freely available on the street with no time restrictions in place.
    This unit is accessed via a private courtyard. The courtyard is a perfect space for unwinding after a long day out or reading a book. The unit is generously proportioned across two main rooms.     This is a beautiful sunny and spacious apartment with a private en suit bathroom and a view of the pool and has its own private entrance and private kitchenette. If you wish to cook you can use the kitchen in the main house. There is free unlimited street parking right outside the apartment.
    The room is huge and very private. There are stairs to get to the apartment.
    We're in 3 minutes walk of cafe's, take away restaurants, bakery and convenient store. There is a park just around the corner and we are a 20 minute walk to the pub. You can take a 15 minute drive to either Brighton or Mordialloc beach.

    My apartment is a relatively new unit in an older style, quiet space in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne. You have your own private bedroom with wall mounted tv and unlimited Netflix. Shared lounge, kitchen and bathroom. I will also provide towels for you to use as a part of your stay.
    Glenhuntly is one of Melbournes smallest suburbs which contributes to the quiet nature of the neighbourhood. Glenhuntly village as a 5 minute walk is full of great food choices including pizza, multiple take away restaurants including Chinese, Indian, Thai and all the other shops you might need such as a 24 hour Woolworths Supermarket, 2 bottle shops, chemist, and a fantastic restaurant 2 minutes from my house - the servery - with mid week meal specials. A 3 minute walk will also take you to a local Glenhuntly bar, right near the train station - perfect for a quiet evening drink!

  • It's a great location if you need to stay at Carnegie or close to transport. The station is just across the road yet the road is reasonably quiet. You can walk to the local IGA supermarket or around the corner to Woolworths. Although I cooked my now meals, Carnegie is well known for its eateries especially Korean food. The place is very clean and very comfortable. I slept extremely well. There is ample room up to four people (two couples) as it has two bedrooms with a queen size bed and good wardrobe space. Holly is a wonderful host who will provide you with every assistance necessary. The unit is on the first floor so you will have to walk up a flight of stairs. The undercover car space is close to the stairwell. Once you park your car, you should need need to use it again until you leave due to its excellent location.

  • John is an awesome host and this was my first experience with AirBNB. It is shared accommodation with your own room. I'll stay with John again when I'm in Melbourne. I booked on the day, he got in touch almost immediately. When I spoke to him he offered to come and collect me from the local library, which was very nice of him. John is an interesting Aussie fella and a great conversationalist. He gave me loads of tips about Melbourne and even dropped me off at the biggest shopping centre in Australia, which is only 5 minutes away. I certainly wasn't expecting him to go out of his way like that without expectation or money exchange. The bedroom had a double bed, which was clean and comfortable and he provided clean towels as well. He also laid out tea & coffee amenities for me and even offered me a continental breakfast, which I hadn't ordered. Again without expectation or money exchange. This is a blokes house, so it's not spotless (I'm a bit of a neat freak) and it is an older style home, but it is clean and for the price is excellent value. As a woman on my own, I felt completely safe and at ease with John and if you are looking for cheap accommodation in Mt Waverley, Melbourne, you won't get a better host or value : )

    My home is a two-storey newly built house. My husband and I lives on the ground floor. We'll share the main entrance but we have our own private space separated by a door. Each private bedroom on the 2nd floor is spacious with big beds and large closet space. There are 3 bathrooms that will be shared and allocated for the guests. Its about 5-10minutes walk to Caulfield station, Monash University, tram stop going to city and buses to Chadstone shopping centre and to other locations.

  • Room was bigger and better than expected. Location is perfect!! We found Bill’s place to be great and we even extended our stay for another month. The house is very spacious and even with 7 other bedrooms you very rarely bump into the other guests and when you do everyone is very friendly. There are two bathrooms which is great for if someone if using one of them. I can’t fault the place at all and would highly recommend the property. I work in St Kilda and in CBD and the transport links from here are great. Only 5/10 minute walk to the tram and train stations. 15 minute train to CBD and 20 min tram to St Kilda beach. Also only 5 minute walk to Woolworths/Aldi/Gym etc. Overall, very happy with our stay here and Bill is a great host :)

The place is what is shown on the pictures. The situation in the shared kitchen and bathroom really depend on the flatmates. If there are problems, they are fixed fast and without troubles.
