  • This place is hidden gem!! Candice was very responsive and kept communication open until we were settled in. If you looking for a place to escape, with the best views, peace, tranquility and the best sunrises/sunsets, this is the place to stay. Will visit again!

  • Amazing spot in such tranquility, we did not want to leave. They have really thought of everything and it was such a treat staying somewhere so beautiful. The space is super stylish and so well put together, I can’t wait to stay again when we are in Cape Town again.

  • Stylish and secluded, Famtin is a beautifully designed space in a stunning setting. When we weren’t exploring the wineries just a short drive away, we made the most of all this memorable property has to offer - swimming from our own private jetty, enjoying a braii in the lovely outdoor space, watching the sunset, marvelling at the spectacular moonrise, then getting up early to watch the sunrise, ready to do it all again! Candice, while not based at the property, was a lovely, responsive host, who helped make our stay the total joy it was.

    Martin2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • A spectacular place for getting away from the city for a few nights. Quiet, peaceful and nestled beautifully into nature. Candice was a great and responsive host and we wanted for nothing. Would go back in a heartbeat!

We loved the outside shower! The terrace/garden was perfect; shaded table and lounge couches, a fire pit under the stars and a pool with safety cover (we have a little child). The vineyard surrounding the house and the mountains provide and incredible scenery and amazing views! They gave us nice tips on the area. They are great hosts and communication was fast and easy. Highly recommended!

  • By far the most beautiful Airbnb I've ever slept in. I can truly recommend this experience, in between the vineyards - your own little paradise.

    Tessa2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • One of our best airbnb accommodation yet. The location and the house are breathtaking, just as advertise. We spend for days with our six month old and treasured every moment. The hosts are very forthcoming, friendly and kind. We recommend this accommodation for anyone looking for a little bit of luxury and solitude in the middest of a beautiful vineyard. We will definitly back!!!!

    Laura2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place ist a real treasure. We only stayed for one night but would have liked to stay longer. The house has everything you can whish for and has great style. Our host was very welcoming. It is a little far out but it is worth the drive.

    Karola2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Magic! An absolutely wonderful spot. Perfect getaway from city. Nestled in amongst the vineyards, this tranquil cottage blew us away! Everything we wished for and more x

    Julia2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Walking into the Vineyard House was like walking into a luxury boutique hotel, it’s beautiful and had so many thoughtful touches, we felt at home immediately. Hildegard and her husband Wa, were incredibly welcoming and couldn’t have been more helpful during our stay - such kind, warm and generous people. The house is situated in the middle of a vineyard and we enjoyed many an evening sitting round the fire, wine glass in hand, looking at the stunning scenery and incredible star scape. We loved visiting the BC Wine cellar door and doing the chocolate / wine pairing, we came away with more bottles than we can possibly transport home! We do Airbnb because of the amazing people you meet and incredible places you get to stay. This is one of the best we’ve experienced in our ten years of holidaying - we couldn’t recommend it more :)

    Gemma2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, wonderful house, perfect location! Hildegard and her husband make people happy! Everything in the house is thought out to the smallest detail. Stylish, cozy, comfortable. The nature and the house around are so good that I don’t feel like leaving from there. Although the guys give a lot of recommendations on what to visit. The house stands in a vineyard surrounded by mountains. Many birds, peacocks, horses and other animals. There are many places for walking and running. Upon arrival at the house you will be greeted by pleasant surprises from the hosts: wine, sweets). On the street there is a place for a fire, and the house has a fireplace. There is also a small pool. The kitchen is well equipped, outdoor shower is a great pleasure. Thank you dear for taking such care of your guests! It is really valuable

  • This place is spectacular! The little touches are so incredible! The balsamic and olive oil, the herbs and spices, the delish coffee beans, the incredibly stylish interior and insanely beautiful exterior! We’ll be back! For sure!

    Angelique2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very spacious, very well equipped, and private. We really enjoyed swimming in the lake, and in the hot tub, and in wandering around the orchards and watching the fruit pickers. Lots to see nearby, although not in Wolseley itself. We enjoyed receiving memories of Bainskloof and Tulbach. But most of all we enjoyed just blobbing on the farm.

    Doug2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant find. Kids loved it. Great space and host!

    Josh2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Orchard Stay is the perfect getaway, we love the peace and serenity on the farm. The space is ideal for relaxing and has everything you need in particular the location to so many stunning wine farms with award wining wines. The kids spent hours swim I g in the plunge pool and outdoor jacuzzi, we will be back

    Caroline2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • You know when you book a place and the pictures look better than in reality! It is the complete opposite at Tammys place! It completely surpassed our expectations! And there was not a single thing I missed... it felt like I was at home with all the things I like to have and use! Beautifully decorated, squeaky clean in the most beautiful, peaceful setting! The whole family loved it! Can’t wait to go back!

    Birgitte (Bree)2019-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • A little piece of heaven, amazing design and interior matched the beautiful surrounds! We had 4 seasons in three days so we had fun in the gorgeous jacuzzi outside and a lovely cozy fireplace evening inside! Not to mention fresh flowers, coffee beans, etc etc etc

    Thomas2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place is magic! Great accommodation, location in the orchard and the hot tub is the best! We will be going back soon!

    Jem2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Simply Stunning The pictures just simply cannot do it justice. Tammy and team have thought about just about everything you could possibly wish for. Orchard Stay is something very special - stylishly decorated, practically equipped and so well situated. It offers peace and tranquility, which is complemented by the stunning choir of tree frogs that have accommodation around the dam. We have stayed in many self catering facilities over the years, and most have been very good. Orchard Stay has raised the bar somewhat. A very special stay!

  • Thanks for an amazing stay. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and setting. Was good to just be able to “turn off”

    Grant2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect location for a quiet relaxing getaway. The cottage is very private, clean, comfy and had everything we needed. We particularly loved spending the evenings looking at the stars, braaiing and sitting in the wood fire hot tub. A very special little place!

    Becca2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great stay at Hoogwater Cottage. The space is incredibly neat, the farm is absolutely beautiful and the hot tub is just the cherry on top! Thanks for having us. :)

  • Awesome getaway location for a couple. Nice and private, and the jacuzzi and setting are beautiful

    Marcus2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had quite and enjoyable stay at the farm! The board games added a special touch to the cottage, which we loved! Picking peaches on the way home was just as much fun. Thank you Madri!

    Micayla2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is an adorable place with all you need for a quiet, peaceful weekend getaway. There are also a few great wine farms and restaurants in the area surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Highly recommended.

    Brittani2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our weekend away. The hot tub was great and amount of firewood supplied more that enough for braaing and keeping the hot tub going. Very relaxing and close enough to wine farms and towns.

    Calvin2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Hoogwater cottage is a great getaway. It is a fully working fruit farm, which makes for an incredible and unique experience. Madri let us walk around the farm and pick our own fruit - which was amazing! The bathroom is large and spacious with a walk in shower. The cottage is simple but is well kitted out with the basics you need to make your own meals if you decide to not eat at the local vineyards. The location is perfect enough to feel like a getaway - but also has wifi to keep you connected. We enjoyed our time, the hosts were extremely warm and friendly!

  • After a long hot road trip through the Great Karoo, Noelette’s home is the perfect haven to arrive at. Outstanding elevated views surrounded by the most majestic mountain views, a big comfortable home, mosquito free, large swimming pool and kiddie friendly doggies, all backed by a very warm, friendly, generous and tentative host. We loved it!

    Justin2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a wonderful four days here with our 2 year old son. The swimming pool was great in the heat, and the house stayed cool (with the help of the aircon upstairs on hot days). Our son loved the friendly dogs, sheep and cows, as well as the diggers and tractors on the farm. We loved visiting the local vineyards, walking up the hills and our visit to the picnic spot high up above the farm. A great spot to escape the rest of the world. Would highly recommend.

    Susannah & Edward2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Noelette 's place is beautiful and the view is amazing. Will recommend to take a drive up to the picnic spot. Thanks Noelette for being a great host.

  • We spent this past Christmas at Malbec cottage at Seven Oaks and we had an absolutely wonderful stay. Being in the hospitality industry and after a year of many, many long hours we really needed to get away from everyone and everything and our stay at Seven Oaks was exactly what we needed. We loved the peace and quiet. The cottage was equipped with absolutely everything one would need and the attention to detail was beautiful. We will definitely be back. We are now ready to face 2020 head-on !!

  • We loved our week at Seven Oaks Farm. We stayed in the Shiraz cottage and it had everything we needed. Our girls, 1.5yr and 4yr old enjoyed walks around the vineyards and of course the Turkish bath was a hit!

  • Had a great stay, braais and Turkish bath were fantastic (though didn't need to heat the bath on warm afternoons....It was just as pleasant cool). Great location for exploring and really enjoyed the 7 Oaks pinotage. Jaqui was a great host, would return for sure, and likely a longer stay....still lots to see and do in that area of Western Cape!

  • What a beautiful cottage in the most lovely surroundings. Highly recommended in both winter and summer. Would love to come back and stay. Jacqui was a great host and the cottage has everything you need.

    Jared2018-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • We just stayed a night as a stop over, however I wish we stayed at least two nights (you'll be able to enjoy the Turkish bath, I didn't think much of it until I saw it). The wine farm is so beautiful and the cottages are exquisite and so well thought out, with plenty of homely touches. I highly recommend the wine tasting and purchasing a few of their world-class wines, I'm enjoying a glass of their gold winning Rosé as I write this. We arrived on a rainy day and I felt a little sad as a really felt like having a braai (bbq) and to my delight the cottage has an indoor braai (bbq). Best braai of my life. I loved our stay and will be coming back as soon as possible. Thanks Jacqui for your amazing hospitality.

The entrance to the cabin welcomes guests to a lounge and entertainment area which has couches centered around a huge indoor fireplace for braaing, potjie'ing or just keeping warm. Adjacent to the entertaining lounge are two bedrooms, one at ground level and one via stairs in the loft. There is a family bathroom with a hot shower, basin and toilet. The lounge leads onto a large verandah with views over the Waaihoek and Witzenberg mountain ranges to the east. The verandah is furnished with two daybeds and a dining table. Four adults can be comfortably accommodated in the cabin with expansion to 6 possible.
The nearby wine farms, padstals are available during the day. At night the Calabash pub done the road serves drinks and simple meals. The nearby Bosjes restaurant offers excellent fine dining. Worcester, Wolesley or Wellington are the best places to buy supplies for your time away from it all.
  • Sumptuous! Thank you

  • Great cabin, with one the best views on Airbnb. (We managed to get up the hill with both a 1.6L Toyota Corolla and a 1.4L VW Citigolf. Recommend using a satellite view to ensure that you take the right paths.)

  • We had a wonderful weekend at the Moon Gazing Cabin. It's a little gem of a cottage perched on the hill amongst wild fynbos with incredible views of the surrounding mountain range from the deck. The house is fully kitted with everything needed and lovely simply, basic interiors and a great indoor fireplace. Best for 4 people. And the river and hikes accessible in the area. Will definitely go again.

    Samantha2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem! The views and the surrounding are absolutely amazing. The cottage has everything you need and there are some nice personal touches. Maybe one tip, bring candles.

    Zsa-Zsa2019-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • We loved everything about the cabin - the views of the mountains and the stars, chilling on the balcony, the rustic architecture of the chimney and shower. Great instructions to get there and some nice information about the valley too, will go back there for another getaway sometime soon!

    Vicki2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Moongazing Cabin is truly a get-a-way yet not so remote. It's rustic charm and amazing views from the balcony make the challenging drive up the concrete road worth the effort. Upon entering you are immediately met with the aroma of inside fires and braais from previous stays setting the tone for your stay ahead. As you are in a national park you cannot make fires outside and therefore make use of the generous fireplace inside where a good lamb potjie would not go amiss. A cabin highlight is the gas shower in the bathroom where you stand on stones and a large rock with a full length window looking to the outside rock wall. There is a 2 ring gas burner to cook with and an adequately stocked pots and pan supply. The kitchen had enough of everything for us to prepare meals and eat out on the balcony with the incredible view overlooking the valley and sheltered from the wind. Be aware of the stairs going up to the main bedroom especially when coming down them as the gaps and slopes of some of the stairs could be slippery especially with socks and if you have enjoyed a beer or glass of wine taking in the sunset. The Calabash Pub is at the bottom of the road and is a pleasant walk down and trek back up if you looking to "get out" for a bit. We unfortunately never had a chance to explore the hiking possibilities which we will do on another visit to the cabin. We drove via Worcester Mall to buy supplies for the weekend which is closer that I had expected. In summary everything was pretty much as mentioned in the welcome sheet and I would definitely consider returning to the charm and peace of the Moongazing Cabin.

  • Moon gazing is a fabulous rustic cottage.... you can really relax there. We enjoyed doing some wine tasting in the region, and later on making a lovely fire and watching the colors of the sky change 💛🧡❤

  • Look no further! This a very neat spot with a lot of privacy. By far the most comfortable bed you’ll find in this area. Also, the included breakfast was a very nice addition to our stay. On top of that, both Wilma and her husband are the sweetest hosts!

  • Lovely break away from life. Loved the fact that it was so remote and difficult to get there that we needed a 4x4

  • Lovely cabin in the mountains. Very secluded and great for a break from life. A 4x4 is needed to access the cabin. We had a lovely time and would stay again.

  • This place was magical. So peaceful, with stunning views. The house is rustic with so much character. Colin was there to greet us and help us carry our luggage over the river, he was very helpful and even informed us about the baboons and their daily routine to keep our dogs safe. I think our dogs loved it more than we did! Next time Ill bring a tube and float down the river. A gorgeous serene stay. Thank you

  • Lovely cabin with nice size garden and good access for swimming in the river. If you are looking to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city then this is for you. An older cabin but well equipped and you should not want for anything during your stay.

  • An absolutely wonderful weekend in a wonderful location. Quiet and super private and access to the beautiful river which we swam in all day long. The cabin is brilliantly laid out and well equipped. We had a great time and our 2 small dogs loved swimming in the river and running around the garden.

This is a unique location, in the Cape Mountain Fynbos biome which has been declared a world heritage site. There are excellent hiking opportunities in the area, and there are places of historical interest in the neighbourhood.
  • What a lovely stay! Places like these are the reason we use AirBnb. We felt at home in this house. The location of the house is just perfect, right at the start of beautiful hikes. We spend an amazing weekend in nature. The house was way more spacious then we expected based on the pictures. We had everything we needed, a kitchen, a fridge, some water, they even thought of toothbrush and borrowed us a cap to prevent us from the sun. Keep in mind there is no wifi, but there is nature :). Isa and Dirk were very friendly and thoughtful. They gave us many recommendations for the area but also for our future trip to Lesotho.

    Charity2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Neat and clean space, quaint old farm house (built in 1902). All our basic amenities were catered for by our lovely hosts. And, just a short walk down to the river for an amazing swim.

    Paul2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • A charming cottage nestled in between the weathered cracks of Bainskloof Pass. We were unfortunate with the weather but the location provides easy access to some lovely hiking trails. There was unfortunately no wifi at the time of our stay but I understand that it is under construction. So check with the host first if this is a necessity. Isa was a warm and friendly hostess

    Grant2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Isa & Dirk were such cool hosts! They were full of awesome stories about the area and really looked after us. I will definitely be back, and look forward to seeing this stay evolve 😀

    Cuan2019-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely setting and easy communication with Dirk and Isa. They even left us some chocolates. Beautiful hikes nearby and an easy overnight stay. There is a little stoep for the dogs but not a garden. However nearby are lovely walls and a field for dogs to run in: the dogs loved it.

  • Beautiful property with loads of space and everything you need in the kitchen - a great place to relax and Candice was helpful and response to any questions that we had. There is also a visitor guide with everything you need to know and information about local attractions. The location is quite remote so perfect to get away from it all. I found that there wasn’t a huge amount to do in the local area that was right for us it, but it was great for a short stay as we didn’t need to venture out much.

Our studio’s are situated on a working table grape farm, Klipheuwel Farm, surrounded by majestic mountains, vineyards and an abundance of fresh air. We offer two private studio’s, each with their own bathroom and kitchenette. Our studio’s are perfect for relaxing weekend get-aways or a stop en-route, as we are just more than an hour's drive from Cape Town, 20min from Worcester and close to the N1. Guests are welcome to walk on the farm, have a picnic under the trees or just admire the view.
Our luxury studio Cottages are located on the foot of our farm's "(klip) heuwel", hill, in an area that used to be stables.
As the cottages are located on a working farm, guests will experience bright stars and stillness at night while they might encounter a tractor or two during the day.
  • An absolutely beautiful little space! Rustic with thoughtful touches, a really comfy bed and stunning farm surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed our time walking around, chatting to the friendly staff on the farm and enjoying the peace and quiet right amounts the vineyards. Could not recommend enough :)

  • The cottage that we stayed in was bright, clean and stylish, and we had a great stay. The farm is at the foot of the mountains, which makes for some great scenery, especially at dusk and dawn. The cottage is very comfortable and functional. The second cottage is very close by, but since there was no other guest, we had the place to ourselves, and could braai and picnic on the lawn near the cottage. I would recommend Marli's place for anyone who want to just relax and get away from a busier life.

  • The space was beautiful, clean and relaxing. The grapes left for us were the best we ever ate and a very welcoming touch, along with the pretty red roses on the kitchen table. Mara also came especially to drop off some croissants for us, which we really enjoyed. The bed was very comfortable and walking around the farm was a delight. Thank you. Highly recommended

    Natasha2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place! We enjoyed our stay.

    Patrick2019-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful hosts! Our car broke down and later our phones died so we ended up checking in around 11pm. Mara still managed to meet us and accommodate us when we finally arrived.

A whitewashed stone cottage. DIE KLIPHUISIE is situated on a 100 ha working wine and fruit farm with 360-degree mountain views. The cottage is a perfect destination for a couple, but can sleep up to four people in 2 inter-leading bedrooms. It is fully equipped for self catering with a 2 plate gas stove, bar fridge, crockery, cutlery, bed-linen, towels and a braai area (barbeque) with a vine-covered pergola.
Built from river stones and mud, in bygone days it housed two workers’ families, hence the two hearths and chimneys. The bathroom, with open-air hot water shower under the canopy of the milky way and southern cross, was a recent addition as workers families collected water from the nearby irrigation furrow. Lovingly restored to preserve its character and charm and dressed in crisp white cottons with old Cape furniture, DIE KLIPHUISIE takes you back to a bygone era with almond, fig and lemon trees scattered in disarray with herbs and roses in an informal garden. Activities on the farm include: -Farm walks/runs (3-5km), a swim in the farm dam, MTB routes in the areas, Hiking, Bird watching, Fruit picking (seasonal) and Star gazing
Die Kliphuisie is situated in the Breedekloof Wine valley, surrounded by commercial farms and many wineries. Within a 18km radius one can visit Bersig, Botha Cellar, Waboom cellar, Opstal, Mountain Ridge, Jason's Hill, Slanhoek Cellar and Laterganskop. There are also various opportunities for mountain biking and hiking in the area. A little further a field, one can easily do day trip to the historic town of Tulbagh, the Karoo Botanical gardens in Worcester, or the farming hub of Ceres. Die Kliphuisie is situated nearby popular (wedding venues) such as Bosjes (5km away) and Olive Rock (15min), and is situated right below the UCT hiking trails (Waaihoek). Other nearby activties include Zip gliding, wine tasting, restaurants, museums, tractor rides.
  • One of the best cottages I have ever stayed in so far. I loved all the details and the pretty deco. The communication with Marie was very easy and nice. I highly recommend this place.

  • Thank you to Marie and Eric for a special getaway. We really enjoyed the fruits we got to pick during our time there :)

  • Kliphuisie is awesome. Such a well thought space - beautifully and simply decorated. Take a book and do some serious chilling. We loved walking round the farm, chilling at the dam and exploring local wine farms. Thanks Marie!!

    John2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Marie’s place is a delightful cottage set amongst the vineyards with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The cottage is well equipped and furnished with style and special care. Marie was warm and friendly and welcomed us with fresh fruit from the farm and fragrant fresh flowers in every room. It is the perfect getaway for a tranquil escape in a lovely and generous hideout. Highly recommended!

    Doret2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • I would definitely recommend Die Kliphuisie for a restful weekend or holiday. The design of the space is considered and the house is situated in an incredible landscape. Thank you Marie for being a great host!

    Trizanne2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Kliphuisie was exactly as depicted in the photographs - a beautiful space artfully decorated and located in serene surroundings. I spent my days there reading in the gorgeous afternoon light that spills into the living area, going for walks on the farm, taking the occasional dip in the dam and appreciating the stars at night.

You’ll love my place because of the location. The Breede River Valley is a beautiful part of the Western Cape. Wolseley is a small town that is surrounded by beautiful mountains. We have a big, peaceful garden with the "Koraalboom" (big tree) in the centre. Both rooms have access to the garden and have a private entrance. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Safe parking. Tee and coffee available.
Small village. Easy to find. Near Ceres and Tulbagh.
  • Incredible garden for picnics in the shade. Beautiful and friendly dogs! Great value for money

    Musiegh2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • My room was stunning, lovely adjoining bathroom and incredible garden outside. Loved playing with the dogs (so well behaved!), and sitting in the garden with a glass of wine graciously provided by Wouter's wife. Bed was great and the fan was greatly appreciated. Would definitely go back.

    Aimee Elizabeth2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great experience with Wouter and his family. He was great with communication and very accommodating when we arrived a little later than expected. He was friendly and offered local tips as well. Would definitely stay there again.

    Adrianne2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, comfortable accommodation in a very central location. We would love to return.

    Natasha2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! Besides Wouter’s place being simple and central, it is also great value for money! But the best part is Wouter’s graciousness, generosity and willingness to help wherever he can. Nothing was trouble. I felt at home. And he let me be as a chilled and gazed at his beautifully garden.

    Roland2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • A water-wise town along the western coast of Cape Town! A little clean town with a watershed to both the Indian and Atlantic oceans. The channels were very clean and the preservation of water was highly impressive! The accommodation complimented the little town perfectly. A visit to Wolseley is definitely worth including on the west coast tour!

The Little oak garden cottage was newly renovated and started September 2018. It's a seperate private cottage with its own entrance, save parking and a closed small courtyard where you can relax and have a braai. The cottage has a beautiful modern open plan kitchen and lounge that is fully equipped. Wifi, Netflix and showmax are available for the guests. The bedroom has clean crisp white bedding with a queen size bed. The bathroom has a shower. There is a aircon for those hot Paarl summers.

  • Mcbains is a great getaway for the adventurous traveler. It sits right on the doorstep of the beautiful Bobbejaans river trail (long pants/socks and waterproof shoes highly recommended), with lovely views of the mountains and valley. The accommodation itself is simple and maybe even a bit 'rough around the edges', but still excellent value for money. The wood fired hot tub and steaming hot bath under the stars create a unique experience which we will never forget!

This compact little open plan unit sleeps 4 and offers everything one would need for a short term stay. Doing our bit for the environment, our accommodation is completely off the grid. The outside braai area has a beautiful view overlooking the vineyards and Witzenberg mountain range in the distance. There is a pub/restaurant on site where you can enjoy a delicious meal or just a sun downer on the deck overlooking the valley.

  • Awesome little place. Exactly as on the pictures. The next door bar was not a disturbance at all and the craft beers are great. When visiting, take the required kitchen equipment as the kitchen only has the basics. For example, take braai tongs if you want to braai and perhaps some fire starters if you usually use those when starting your braai.

A 1950's old Schoolhouse, aka Skoolhuisie, sits amongst farmlands outside quiet Wolseley and fabulous Tulbagh. She's super quirky, interesting, rustic and eclectic. We renovated the property entirely ourselves, with friends&fam on weekends. Skoolhuisie came 2nd in the HomeMag Fix it with Flair comp! Don't expect luxury, but you'll get amazing sunsets, unusual decor, great birdlife and fresh air. *If Eskom goes down, the water pump goes off. *Kids under 12yrs stay free.Don't add to headcount
Come feed the chickens on the farm :) Open plan kitchen, dining and main bedroom. Second room is a narrow space, doubling as a baby room with cot too. Bathroom is a cosy basic space, with loo and shower. Free standing bath in the main room, with a second outside shower as well. Braai area on both aspects of the house. There'll be some herbs to pick, possibly tomatoes, maybe spinach... Feel free to forage eggs and whatever is in season! We are on borehole water, which is fine to boil. We recommend bringing drinking water along.
Expect country charm, great wineries, cutest coffeeshops, farmstalls and and and... Wolseley is our nearest town, with a small grocery store, petrol garage and a decent sized Agri. Pop in any buy some gumboots!
  • Wonderful spot!

Situated on a farm which hosts local bakery Daly Bread, this tranquil getaway is perfectly situated near the Karoo Desert Botanical Garden, Fairy Glen Game Reserve, a Gary Player-designed golf course, hiking trials and mountain bike routes. Baking weekends are also available, where guests can learn first-hand from award-winning baker Trevor Daly, whose shop Daly Bread has been number 1 on Tripadvisor for the entire 2017.
This recently built thatch roof cottage has plenty of charm and breath-taking views of the surroundings. The bedroom is situated on a mezzanine floor. A nearby dam and various hiking routes lead off the front door.
Though situated in the Brandwacht valley 5 km out of Worcester, it feels in a world of its own. Even though some guests have described it as feeling like “the middle of nowhere”, note that is just outside town and next to a paved road and reservoir.
  • Lovely accommodation. Very well situated as you have the feeling of been isolated with the Fynbos and quietness that surrounds you. The house is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a quite escape from the city life

    Gary2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect getaway just outside of Worcester. Although only a short drive out of town, one really feels as if you are in a different place altogether. The cottage has a great rustic feel to it, and comfortable enough for a few days' stay. The fresh croissants every morning were a real treat. We will be back!

  • a lot of wind, despite the view and the exceptional atmosphere of the place, can be expected to live in a rustic way.

  • A rustic cabin off the beaten track, perfect for an overnight stay. Beautiful location, close to several hiking trails and a lovely dam for swimming. Delicious croissants delivered to our door in the morning. Recommended!

  • A lovely cottage in close proximity to Worcester. Easy access to several hiking routes and a dam to swim in. Beautiful scenery and views. While the equipment in the cottage is basic, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. I suspect staying here in winter will be lovely with the indoor fireplace. While the cottage is not far from a tar road, the noise from the very occasional vehicle passing does not really bother. Be prepared for hot and windy days in summer, but the cottage is always cool and welcoming.

    Anton2019-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • With an an absolutely beautiful cottage surrounded by stunning mountains, Derek and Trevor welcomed us to Worcester and gave us the run down on what was around. The cottage is purpose constructed with an incredibly large fireplace that can be cooked in if required, as well as braai facilities outside if the weather is good. On site, Daly Bread has their baking facilities and we were lucky enough to spend some time helping Trevor shape a few loaves, baking them in the wood fired oven, where your morning croissant will baked and delivered. An incredible experience. Thank you Derek and Trevor for the stay!

    Sue2018-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a dramatic setting looking into the mountains! Amazing fireplace and Derek our host was most helpful. Woke up to snow on the mountains and warm croissants and bread! What more can one ask for?

    Andrew2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Derek's little cottage is nothing short of pure magic!! This place oozes a restful quirky charm which is so lacking in so many accommodations we have visited! The best thing of all is that Derek has created such a COMFORTABLE space for people to completely relax and engulf themselves in!! I cannot say enough about the delivered croissants you receive every morning...they are the mist delicious croissants we have ever eaten!! The fireplace is truly the heart of this home and I could have spent the rest of my days cuddling in front of that fireplace and been a very happy human being! The bed is comfy, the shower fantastic and the whole cottage very spacious! Whether you looking to be active and do all the walks and biking you want or (like us) just relax, read (provided), play board games (also provided), sip on red wine and enjoy your surroundings, both options are available to you! We loved the lava lamp and "moon" light and the free WiFi was an unexpected (although not needed) bonus. We just can't say enough about this magical place! We have been traveling for 3 weeks on honeymoon and we can honestly say this was our best stop! We cannot wait to get back there and we can only hope everyone has a chance to experience this little gem! Thank you Derek!! See you soon!

The Turkish bath was an absolute delight, it took us some time to figure out exactly how to get it going but once it did it stayed hot for ages! The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and we really enjoyed the much needed peace and quiet. We will definitely be back!

  • We had a great stay at Pinotage Cottage! The pictures really don’t do it justice, amazing scenery and delicious wine from their vineyard! Will definitely be recommending to family and friends and come back in the future!

    Chris2018-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most wonderful and memorable time at Seven Oaks cottages! The cottage is set with breathtaking views of mountains on all sides, it truly is spectacular! The cottage is so thoughtfully designed and laid out. They have thought of everything we could need to make our stay the most comfortable and enjoyable. Delicious little crunchies to have with tea, a complimentary bottle of wine from their farm. We made use of the outdoor fireplace a lot which was great, and enjoyed the hot tub which was the best way to relax morning or evening! The views across the vineyards to the mountains was so peaceful, and at night the stars are amazing too. The trip to the farm was most memorable because we got engaged! We enjoyed a lovely walk through the vineyards and fruit trees where my boyfriend popped the questions, we can’t wait to come back and re-live the special weekend.

  • Jacqui’s place is an amazing place to enjoy wine country and relax, eat good food and explore the wineries! We are a family of four with two young kids and we all had an amazing time.. our cottage had a wood fired Turkish bath which was a highlight with the kids! The cottages are beautifully designed with every amenity one needs! Seven Oaks also produces excellent wine so one does not need to venture out far to enjoy those... We would recommend this to any couple a special getaway or to a family traveling through the wine areas!

  • We stayed in Merlot cottage. It's far enough from the main roads to be incredibly peaceful but close enough to serve as a hub for exploring the surrounds. The cottages themselves are perfectly appointed with a serenely mafnificent view of mountain and vineyard. The interior is uncluttered but with everything you could need and so many creative and thoughtful touches. The outside areas were also perfect for playing boardgames and dipping into the rustic Turkish baths. Even though you are a stone's throw from your neighbours, the lay-out makes the chalets very private. Louis came to check in on us and ensure everything was in order. We also met the fat and friendly farm dog Trompie who the kids loved giving cuddles to. Ideal spot to get away from town and unplug from technology. Highly recommended.

  • If you are looking for some real peace and quiet, this spot is a piece of heaven. Marianka also responds to messages and questions super fast. And a dog friendly spot! Our boy Max spent his days on amazing walkies on a beautiful farm or lying on lovely grass. Also!! They have zebras, springbok and ostriches!

  • Lovely house and location! Marianka made us feel very welcome and checking in and out was a breeze :) The nature reserve is stunning and we really enjoyed walking around the area and seeing the animals. The house was clean, modern and looked just like the pictures. We really enjoyed the extra little treats that were left for us (rusks and champagne). We had a fantastic weekend and will definitely be back soon :)
