This lovely cosy cottage is situated along the Wild Atlantic Way about 20 minutes from Kinsale on the R600 coast road. Have a look at https://www.facebook.com/irelandswaw to get a feel for this unique part of Ireland.
The cottage has a double bedroom on the second floor with a comfortable new double bed with good linen and down duvet. The adjacent bathroom has an electric shower. The cottage is beside the main house where your hosts live but is separate with its own access. The cottage is 3 Km from the historic village of Kilbrittain on the Wild Atlantic Way ( a 2000km coastal drive from Kinsale in the south to Donegal in the North). The village is home to a beautiful Castle and the skeleton of a fin whale the subject of the documentary 'Inside Natures Giants'. Kinsale is 12 Km away, renowned for its beautiful marina and delicious fish restaurants, home to the 17th Century Charles Fort, famous for its connection with King Charles and the Spanish Armada. There is an abundance of activities to occupy a visitor to this area. There are a wide range of golf courses within a short driving distance including the world famous Old Head of Kinsale, a headland off which the Lusitania was tragically sunk. You will also find a number of outdoor activity centers along the coast which offer surfing, sailing and wind surfing lessons. The beautiful sandy blue flag beaches of Garretstown and Garylucas are less than 10 minutes drive. Clonakilty is within 15KM, a lovely town where you will find the scenic Inchydoney beach, a Model Village and numerous lively pubs and restaurants. The Wild Atlantic Way follows the coast along through West Cork to places like Skibbereen and Bantry Bay.
The cottage is conveniently positioned between the towns of Bandon, Kinsale and Clonakilty. Each of these towns are on the main bus route to Cork City and also to all the major towns in West Cork.
  • Enda's place is a lovely cottage. Enda want there for the duration of our stay, buy made sure we had some tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival, which was a lovely touch. Her suggestions for local walks and places to eat we're great and spot on. Rebecca's kitchen cafe is and the corner and perfect for brunch (is open from Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm). Monks lane is outstanding. Pink elephant is very friendly. The views are superb.

  • Beautiful location Quiet, clean and safe Perfect for people traveling solo

  • We stayed here a couple of days and found it a very relaxing stay! It was nice to switch off from our busy travelling schedule and enjoy the (very) green and pretty area. Enda recommended a few walks which we did in the daytime that were beautiful.

  • Quaint, homely, close to good walks, short drive for supplies and to other attractions, friendly locals. Highly recommend.

  • We've just returned home from a lovely stay at Enda's cottage.... The area is beautiful and lovely and peaceful, the cottage was so cosy and homely! Enda makes sure you have everything you need! We were greeted with a fresh loaf of bread, milk and other essentials! It was brilliant! Thank you so much!!

  • I nice place to get away from the fast pace, beautiful surroundings.

    Kay2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Her directions are spot on and make finding the cottage super easy! It’s super clean and quiet and is the perfect hideaway but still close to amazing things to do!!

    Kat2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Enda’s place was very clean and comfortable. It was farther away from things than I realized, which is my fault for not paying enough attention to that. It would be a fantastic space if you were not sightseeing and just wanted to stay there, take some lovely walks and relax. Kinsale, about 30 minutes away, is a great town to spend the day in. I wish we had had time to take some of the great walks Enda suggested. Her directions to her place were also easy to follow; very detailed. And the food at the Pink Elephant as she suggested was great! Get the sticky toffee pudding for sure!

The views are stunning and it's just the most amazing setting you could wish for. https://wanderingirishcailin.com/2018/04/28/the-ultimate-weekend-getaway-in-kinsale/ Kinsale quayside Kinsale hosts an annual jazz festival, which takes place during the last weekend of October. Pubs and hotels in the town host concerts by jazz and blues groups throughout the weekend, including on the last Monday of October (which is a bank holiday in Ireland).[34][35] The monumental steel, originally unpainted, sculpture The Great Wall of Kinsale, by Eilis O'Connell and installed in 1988 to celebrate Kinsale's achievements in the Tidy Towns competition, stands by Pier Road and Town Park.[36] Bastion, a restaurant on Market/Main streets, received a Michelin Star in 2020.[4] Chef Keith Floyd was previously a resident of Kinsale.[37] Kinsale is a holiday destination for both Irish and overseas tourists.[2] Leisure activities include yachting, sea angling, and golf. The town also has several art galleries, and there is a large yachting marina close to the town centre. The town is known for its restaurants,[3] including the Michelin-starred Bastion restaurant,[4] and holds a number of annual gourmet food festivals.[5] Historical buildings in the town include St. Multose's Church (Church of Ireland) of 1190, St. John the Baptist (Catholic) of 1839, the Market House of c. 1600, and the so-called French Prison (or Desmond Castle, associated with the Earls of Desmond) of c. 1500. Charles Fort, a partly restored star fort of 1677, is in nearby Summercove.[6] Kinsale, County Cork is all about scenery, stories and surprises. let's start with the surprises, Kinsale is hopping like no place else in Ireland in the cool of an Irish spring. The town is busy with locals and tourists alike, with many French, recently arrived overnight from Roscoff giving a well dressed look, to an already well heeled and presented town. Steeped in stories, the defeat of the Irish in the Battle of Kinsale 1601 changed the course of Irish history forever with the Flight of the Earls (the old order of Irish chieftains) and the arrival of the British planters. But, long before even that event, it was an important trading port on the route to the new world. Landmark taverns and the Dutch style courthouse, where the inquest into the sinking of the Luistania in 1915 was held as well as medieval Desmond Castle still survive as do most of the other character houses in and around the narrow maze of streets that thankfully have not been demolished in the name of progress or greed.... Kinsale thrives on its waterfront location, the galleons which once sailed right up town have been replaced with leisure craft for both sailing and fishing. The Kinsale regatta is one of the longest running in Ireland and as popular as ever. Thirty years ago, Kinsale pioneered the Slow Food Movement with local artisan food producers getting together with chefs to produce the most wonderful food. In fact there seems to be more bars, restaurants and cafes per square mile here than in Dublin and as I say its busy, busy, busy. But the people are warm and friendly and for the most characters like Martin Shanahan who’s mad about fish and is leading a nationwide campaign to get us all back cooking and eating it. You will spoiled for choice restaurant wise and there is certainly somewhere to suit all tastes and pockets. A great weekend destination or starting point on a scenic road trip around West Cork.... 10 Other Things To Do and See in and around Kinsale..... 1 First up Dermot Ryan’s walking tour of Kinsale is a must, tailor made, instantly, to suit the interests and nationalities of the various individuals who show up on the day. Warm, witty and informative, it’s the best €5 you will spend in Kinsale, tour departs daily at 10.30 from the Tourist Office on the quay and takes about an hour. 2 In these days of online everything is there anything better when on holidays than browsing a real bookshop rather than a virtual one and having a book talk to you or fall into your hands as well as a chat with the owner of the Kinsale Book Shop who’ll advise you on the latest arrivals re Irish interest or just a downright, good old-fashioned read, as well as the state of the industry! 3 Followed by coffee and the best lemon meringue pie in Ireland at the Lemon Leaf or a real hot chocolate in Jo’s. I must say I like this kind of niche marketing, it certainly adds to the relaxation element of a pleasant saturday morning shop when my stomach nods in agreement without even having to bother my mind. 4 The Boathouse Gallery with an electic selection of sea inspired images, I particularly liked but couldn’t afford, as usual, the Dee Pieters landscapes of West Cork with their mirror like water elements and bottomless lakes. With a warm Cork welcome from the owner, who knows well you are only browsing and unlikely to buy, well not this time perhaps, but maybe next time? 5 And then there are the stalwarts like Jim Edwards, the Blue Haven and the Spaniard out the road, that have been there forever. There’s a great line up of music most nights throughout the summer, good food and perfect pints all day and plenty of atmosphere all with walking distance of each other. 6 And no shortage of restaurants obviously in the Gourmet Capital of Ireland, cheap and cheerful Crackpots and Brunos to more expensive Finns Table and Fishy Fishy with the Black Pig doing tapas but my absolute favourite is up next? 7 Bulman Pub, Summercove, never was a place more aptly named, location? tick! sunset, if you are lucky? tick! atmosphere? most definitely! great pints, cold beer or glass of wine? for sure! And the best oysters, lobster and seafood you will eat anywhere in Ireland. 8 Charles Fort, after the defeat of the Irish in 1601 the English built this French style star shaped fort at the mouth of the harbour and installed a garrison of over 1000 troops which remained in Kinsale for over 400 years until we got our independence in1922. You can visit by car or on foot, a nice walk out via Scilly, take a Harbour Cruise or Hire a Boat during the summer. 9 Old Head, Kinsale, known as the 'Edge of the World’ at the time, it still looks like that, a rugged peninsula, jutting out 3 miles out into the Atlantic with its famous lighthouse and Celtic marriage stone. It now belongs to private consortium who have developed a world class links and exclusive golf club which is on every golfers bucket list of courses to play before they die
  • This property is simply spectacular. The views are stunning and it’s a fabulous getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back!

  • We were here to celebrate a 30th and 40th. Both people ended up having the best weekend ever. I wouldn't do any justice describing the house, it really just is breathtaking. The host was more than helpful in answering all my queries.

  • This is an amazing house with unbelievable views. It’s quiet and private and we had a wonderful time here.

    Deborah2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing house with beautiful views. Everything is super modern, and there are lots of spaces for groups to hang out, but also enough rooms to get some privacy when desired. Rooms are very comfortable and clean, making the entire house cozy. Make sure you catch the sunset on the back porch with a nice cup of tea! Kinsale is a great town to spend the weekend away. Lots of great food. Highly recommend The Supper Club. Also full of shops and off licenses to get anything you need. Communication was very easy, which made things fluid. Only complaint was the lack of basic items in the house, such as basic cooking supplies, additional towels for going to the beach, toilet paper and kitchen paper etc. You need to get these items for a comfortable stay yourself.

  • Perfect retreat South of Cork. Ann was kind enough to pick me up from Belgooly, and her son dropped me off at the bus stop on the day I left. The views from the cabin are spectacular and the cabin is cosy. Definitely a great stay for a couple or a single traveler. The dog, Sandy, coming to hang out was a perk :)

    Bri2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely stunning location where you can sit on the deck looking out to sea. Cabin itself is basic but clean and comfortable. Ann and her family are warm and welcoming and excellent hosts. Looking forward to our next stay at the Cabin!

    Caroline2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t beat the view from the cabin or cozying up by the fire to read after a day of exploring the area. Ann was a great host and super friendly, and we were also pleased that her sweet dog Sandy gave us a visit one night. Like others have mentioned, Ann gives great directions to the house but it is on a narrow and windy road - best to find it the first time during the day!

    Jessie2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous location, lovely and cosy with the stove lit. Ann was very welcoming and gave us eggs, bread and milk for breakfast. Looking forward to visiting during the summer months when the evenings are longer

    Jacinta2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding location with views that are better than seen on-line. Basic as Ann describes it but it’s so comfortable. First time in a long time we have gone without a TV but it was so worth it, hubby and I actually chatted for hours listening to music, haven’t done much of that and it was lively until we disagreed on what was going to be played next lololol

    Eleanor2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is a gem! We spent a couple of nights there. Ann greeted us , and provided local tips for the area. Ann’s dog , Sandy is so sweet...she would greet us in the morning on our way out. We ventured into Kinsale both nights and ate at the Bluehaven. Food was great, service was ok! Our second day was spent at the cliffs of moher, coming back to the cabin was just what we needed. In closing, the cabin is perfect for spending time with your special someone and getting away from the daily routine. Ann provided a memorable experience of Ireland! Hope to be able to come back one day!!!

    Maureen2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is a delightful get-way dream. Picturesque views of the ocean, beach and rolling pastures. A short drive to wonderful Kinsale. We had a memorable stay with Ann.

    Mark2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures of Ann's Cabin do not do it justice, the cabin is amazing! Gorgeous view and everything you need in a cosy cabin, perfect location, 10 mins from Kinsale - Ann is a great host and we loved Sandy the dog!

This cozy cottage is a the perfect location to help you to get away from it all. A unique piece of history in a beautiful and relaxed seaside village; the cottage was constructed in the sixteen hundreds and has a timeless homely feel. Its only a 5 minute walk from Myrtleville beach:) The antique stove (and central heating) provides gorgeous heat and fuel is provided for guests no matter what the season. Stunning coastal walks are easily reached and bound to impress no matter what the weather.
This charming gardeners cottage pre-dates Myrtleville House (which adjoins the cottage) and was built behind the sheltering walls of a 2 acre vegetable garden. Once said to be used as a small monastery, it is a truly unique building in a gorgeous setting. As soon as the fire is lighting and the kettle is on; the worries of the modern world should start to ease away. Over the last couple of years I have been renovating and improving every room in an effort to improve comfort while maintaining the old world charm. The kitchen is the heart of the home, with a cosy antique wood burning stove (fuel provided). It is the kind of room that's perfect for tea drinking and long chats. The low light of candles (many provided) is the best choice if you really want a trip back in time. We have two large double rooms upstairs and a single room downstairs. The layout of the cottage is slightly unorthodox but it was constructed almost 400 years ago so that can be forgiven. Out in the garden, there are hammocks and a geodesic dome which provide an excellent spot for a relaxation. Parking is provided of course, there is lots of space and it is very safe.
Myrtleville is a beach town within in a small river valley. Baile an Cuainin is its original Irish name and it means town of the little cove. Myrtleville beach is a popular destination for day visitors from the city. Going east or west along the rocks from the beach can help you to discover secluded swimming holes and tidal pools if you're interested in a little exploration. One thing that is often said about this place is that once here people rarely want to leave. Its just so easy to pass the day relaxing its hard to consider other options. The local foodstore, O Connells is great for stocking almost all the groceries that you may need. It is a 5 minute walk from our door. I always encourage visitors to take to the sea-shore, no matter what time of year it may be. There are plenty of beaches and natural swimming holes and if you want peace seclusion then you will find it there. The Myrtleville Swimmers are a local sea swimming group who swim all year round in the atlantic. There is nothing quite like the Atlantic to wake you up in the morning! If any guests are interested in taking a plunge I can give you all of the information on swim times etc. Foraging for wild food is very easy here with blackberries, mussels, cockles and sea-spinach in abundance at the right time of year. Just ask me where to go and what to look for and take it from there. For night-time entertainment you wont have to go far. There's always great live music happening locally from traditional folk sessions to some hefty blues rock in The Lodge. This little local is half way to the beach and worth a stop if you're thirsty:) A short walk from the cottage (and the Lodge if you fancy a short pub crawl!), just above the cliffs and the crashing Atlantic sits Bunnyconnellan our local restaurant where you can sit and enjoy stunning sea views. The last anchorage of the Titanic can be seen from here. Just a 5 minute drive (or a lovely seaside walk) from Myrtleville is the fishing village of Crosshaven. Home to the oldest yacht club in the world, The Royal Cork Yacht Club, and the spectacular Fort Camden where you can get a tour of the battlements and tunnels that helped to keep the harbour safe during war times. There is couple of charming little cafes where it is very easy to while away some time over a coffee, lunch or breakfast. You might be lucky enough to get here in time for one of our local festivals, like the crazy Red Head Convention, the Traditional Sail weekend or the annual Folk Festival. Kinsale is also close by, 20 minutes drive and such a beautiful town with lots to do there too. Fountainstown beach is just 15 minutes by foot (2 minutes by car) and is perfect for low-tide walks. There are many secluded swimming holes between here and there. Kids and adults alike can partake in the Funkytown Adventure Centre, where it is possible to do kayak rental and guided tours of the coastline, wake-boarding, tubing and lots more. Anyone who gets properly ensconced in the area will be charmed by the people here, its a small town with a good community of super friendly people....especially in the pubs:)

  • This is a very special place with lovely personal touches, and very cosy, even in mid-Winter. Mark left us some honey and other breakfast essentials and even thought of turning on the electric blanket for us! He gave us some local tips and was quickly available for anything we needed. • We would URGE you to make this home a stop on your list. Go out of your way, it’s worth it! Our stay was above and beyond expectation.

  • The cottage is a wonderland of farm and coastal life, the perfect place to rest and recharge in winter and I imagine a terrific base to visit the coastline of Cork in the summer. The rooms are decorated with comforting eccentricities and the stove tenderly heats the kitchen and living room, keeping you cosy at all times. Mark is a kind and relaxed host, making sure you have everything you need and always on hand in any eventuality.

Nesbitt is a one bedroom boat set in its own private garden, overlooked by 3 donkeys. She has electricity, full cooking, toilet and showering facilities on board, albeit all quite compact! Ideally suited for a couple or small family. A peaceful and quite getaway surrounded by animals, trees & farmland just 10 mins drive from Kinsale and 5 mins from some fantastic beaches. An ideal base for exploring the south of Ireland. Somewhere quirky and different. Great for little ( & big) imaginations.
Nesbit is a 37ft land based boat. She was destined for the scrap heap but we completely transformed her over an 18 month period. Almost everything in her has been recycled. She is bright, cosy and a funky little place to stay to enjoy the beautiful local countryside. She has a bedroom with a triangular shaped double bed, a galley kitchen with sink, hob, grill, microwave, kettle, toaster, and small fridge. The living space has a comfortable seating area with a table that converts to a single bed suitable for an adult or 2 small children. Also on board is a bijou bathroom/wetroom with toilet, wash hand basin and electric shower. The living space is all on one level. There is electric heating in the boat so it is suitable for winter living. There is a big private garden area with the boat with a picnic bench and sand pit.
We live on a farm with ponies, donkeys, hens, cattle and an alpaca all nearby. There are a few lovely beaches nearby, tons of great places to eat within a 10 min drive. A fabulous new playground, an award winning cafe and a pub all within walking distance in the quirky little village of Ballinspittle. Kinsale is 10kms away, Clonakilty is 25kms. We are 45 mins from Cork airport. The Blarney Stone, Fota wildlife park, Cobh, the Jameson distillery and Cork city are all within easy reach.
  • What an incredible experience, absolutely loved it here. Dawna was a wonderful host, and Nesbit is a wonderfully unique and peaceful place to stay with lots of lovely personal touches. Highly recommend this Airbnb to everyone, it’s a really lovely place and the donkeys and alpaca and ponies were really cool too :)

This 2 roomed converted cottage is located 10 kms (15mins drive) from the picturesque town of Kinsale, it is 2km (15min stroll down a quite country road) from the quirky village of Ballinspittle where there is an excellent cafe, a bakery, pub, shop, garage, and playground. There are 5 beautiful beaches within a 5 min drive of the cottage. We have ponies, donkeys, hens and an alpaca so its perfect for animal lovers. The cottage can sleep 3 adults or 2 adults & 2 children comfortably. Wifi avail.
The cottage has an open plan kitchen/dining room, a bedroom and a small bathroom. There is a double bed in the bedroom and a sofabed (small double) in the living/dining area. A travel cot for a baby is also available should you wish. Both the bedroom and kitchen dining room have sliding doors opening out on to a large decking area with seating. The decked area faces a field that is home to a few ponies and "podge" the alpaca. There is also a garden area with a pond to the side of the cottage. Pls note: the sofa bed is a small double - it's not suitable for 2 larger adults together. We also have another airbnb property on the farm if your group is larger -https://www.airbnb.ie/rooms/26257743?s=51
Ballinspittle is a small quirky village. The cafe is excellent. We have tons of beaches nearby. Opposite the cottage is Garrettstown wood with lovely walks through it. Kinsale is 15mins away by car and was recently voted Ireland's prettiest town. Clonakilty is 35 min away and is another pretty and interesting town. We are just half an hours drive from Cork airport and about an hour from the historic town of Cobh and also the Blarney castle. We are ideally placed for exploring the south coast of Ireland.
  • Thank you to Dawna for being such an amazing host. Directions were great, she is very quick to respond to messages and the accommodation was fantastic. Really enjoyed the animals outside the front door and a lovely location to explore the area from.

  • Dawna is definitely a super host. Such a lovely person and so helpful. The cottage is beautiful with beautiful crafty decor. It's so cosy and cute and beautiful to look out at the donkeys and Alpaca from your patio doors in ur bedroom. Dawna has thought of everything from board games to maps of the areas to flashlights for a nighttime stroll back home. Thank you so much. See you soon

  • Thank you to Dawna for hosting us recently. Everything was effortless with Dawna between communicating initially and checking in and out and her welcome was so warm with the heating on and candles lit for us on arrival. We walked to the pub with the hi vis jackets and torch provided and the walk down the country lane was very safe. Best of luck to everything in the future Dawna, Ellen and Paul :)

  • Conor's place is great, from my room I could see his beautiful garden. The place was very clean, the breakfast was delicious and they were always very helpful suggesting activities or places to see during my trip. They are aware that it can be tricky to find the address using GPS so they provide very accurate indications prior to my arrival.

This is a unique, self contained, elevated POD set in a private garden, close to the water, overlooking Kinsale Harbour and town, in the jewel of Kinsale - Summercove. You can work (via our high speed broadband) while watching the boats go by, take long coastal walks, go for a swim in the ocean, dine in the local award winning pub/restaurant (The Bulman), explore the 16th century fort (Charles Fort), take a stroll into town, go for a kayak (or SUB), rent an electric bike & head out exploring
If you are staying in Kinsale for 1 night or more nights its the place to base yourself. You enter the property via the garden entrance at the side of the main house and walk up the outside stairs to access the POD. Parking is off site and communal. The property is A1+ rated so really cosy and the added advantage of a constant supply of fresh sea air. The property has a large bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette with kettle, toaster and microwave. We supply tea, coffee, milk, sugar, cereal and run an "honour bar" with beer, wine, bottled water, sodas and various snacks. The electric bikes and kayaks are on an external rental, and can be in place for your arrival once ordered in advance.
Summercove is the most fantastic place to visit, it has the best pub in Kinsale, the Bulman, where you can have an amazing lunch or dinner and watch the sun set over Kinsale after a day working, exploring or just relaxing.
  • Highly highly recommend the POD! A tiny space but all you need. Hosts are quick to respond, delightful, and resourceful.

  • Daragh's Pod is awesome. It's situated on a family property with a beautiful sea view. It was a bit chilly on our night there but our pod stayed nice and cozy. The bed was very comfortable and the unit was spotless. Daragh met us upon arrival and departure and was very welcoming and helpful. He even offered to drive us into town so we could have some drinks at the pub and not have to worry about driving home. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the neighborhood pub down the road because it had stopped serving food but the area is very quaint and a quick drive to Kinsale. The breakfast provided was a loaf of bread with butter and jellies and milk and cereal. It was perfect and just what we needed. We are already dreaming of coming back during the summer for a couple of weeks.

    Diane2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • The POD is a cosy and stylish spot, perched on an elevated part of Kinsale! The views from the POD are absolutely beautiful. Well located from the centre of Kinsale, a short walk to lovely restaurants and pubs! Great communications from Daragh who was helpful and accommodating. We absolutely loved our stay and the fresh bread and jams provided by Daragh! We would absolutely stay again!

  • We had an absolutely lovely stay at Daragh’s. The pod is beautifully decorated, all very modern and stylish. It’s a gorgeous place. Daragh also added some lovely touches like leaving fresh bread, milk and cereal in the morning. The location is great and has fabulous views over the water. Couldn’t have asked for more!

    Alicia2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic and unique pod in the glorious Kinsale. Exceeded our expectations in so many ways. In addition, Daragh was a great host who picked us up from the bus station and provided a list of restaurants, pubs and scenic walks. The view and location of the pod is great, with it being a stone throw away from the amazing coastline and short walk into the centre.

    Joshua2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Daragh's fantastic pod. Daragh and Rachel were so welcoming and friendly. • Great stay at Ann and John. It's one of Kinsale's cheapest BnBs and yet I do not know what to ask for better. The location is perfect for Kinsale walk (7 min) and there is even a parking space, which would be more difficult in the city center. A very generous breakfast and caring hosts with lots of good advice. I recommend!

  • Hetty is a lovely person and a brilliant host, going above and beyond to make you feel at home and looked after. The bed is extremely comfortable, there’s a coffee machine and teas, thoughtful touches like slippers, local guide books, some chocolates, black-out blinds. She’s really done everything to make the room as convenient and comfortable as possible. I wish I could have stayed longer! I’ll definitely be back!

    Jenna2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying with Hetty, brilliant host, great local tips and good laugh! Also she was amazing with giving lifts to town if I needed it! Looking forward to staying with Hetty again.

    Elliott2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • I have been in Kinsale just for a weekend. The house is amazing, and Hetty has been very kind and friendly. She picked me up from the bus station when I arrived, and dropped me off before I left. The house is really beautiful, and from there you can easily walk to Kinsale harbor following a lovely walk beside the sea. If I will come back to Kinsale, Hetty will certainly be my first choice for an accommodation.

    Giampiero2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • If there is one thing you must do in Kinsale, it is to stay with Hetty. Seriously, this was the best place I have ever booked and Hetty was such a saint. My friend and I had an unfortunate experience in a hostel and booked with Hetty at the very last minute and it is the best thing that has happened to us on our trip thus far! Hetty’s home is beautiful and is worth way more than the nightly fee she charges. Hetty was also an incredible host, and gave us many local suggestions for Kinsale. We were seriously upset to leave Kinsale and Hetty! If we ever travel back, we will definitely stay with Hetty again!!

    Ashley2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Hetty has two rooms, one of which is a suite, very comfortable and tastefully furnished, generous and very hospitable, she picked me up at the bus station and drove me to town several times where she knows everything @ and then it is a very interesting woman! In short, an address to recommend and a very good value for money.

  • I'm really glad to have chosen Elenas accommodation. She and her family immediately made me feel welcome and they helped me a lot adapting to the country by giving me many usefull tips. I can really recommend them even for longer stays for which the own bathroom is really nice. The room is small but really comfortable with everything you need and Carrigaline is a rather quiet but charismatic city with beautiful landscapes and views.

  • Elena, Jose and family are a lovely family to visit. Their gentle dog and cat are also easy to be with. They were welcoming, gave me a key to the house so I could come and go, assisted me with directions when needed and were very helpful and welcoming. They made it easy to be part of the family if I wanted, or to be in my room as needed or leave. They also encouraged me to use the kitchen as desired and went to the extra work preparing the room by extra rinsing of linens to take away the smell of any scented product! I highly recommend planning your stay with these people. Cherry

  • I've never stayed in a 7 star hotel but know that going by what I'm told about them, they would still be a few stars short of Julie's Airbnb. Couldn't recommend Juliet's enough and know that not only was it fantastic value, the breakfast every morning was devine. A big thank you for introducing me to Cork charm and hospitality.

    Lucas2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed my stay. Perfect for my needs. Clean and Quiet. I would have no hesitation to recommend it .

  • Lovely hosts! Very kinds and thoughtful. Place is clean and Juliet has thought of all the extra little bits like toothpaste, etc that are not always included. And the breakfast in the morning is real winner!

  • Juliet is a very kind and generous hostess! She has a lot of little touches in the room that add an extra homey feeling to your stay. Juliet is also knowledgeable of what is around and has some great suggestions on where to go and what to see. The shower is wonderful and the bed is cozy. I felt very comfortable throughout my stay.

    Chelsea2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Juliet waited for me and constantly checking in to ensure I can find the location, as much detail as she could provide, but you will miss it if you follow Google. Lol. The room I've got was big and ensuite, clean and tidy, with a toiletries basket so if you miss anything, you still have a choice. He bed is comfortable and clean. It's quiet at night and I slept very well. Juliet prepared yummy Irish breakfast for me too. Nothing more that I can ask for! Lovely host and place!

  • Ann and Patrick are a lovely couple and hosts too. The house is expansive with ice gardens and plenty of parking. My arrival on a late flight was at 23:00, but this was not a problem for Ann. The feeling is that you are in the middle of the countryside, which you are, but really you are just a couple of miles from Cork and about 6 miles from the airport. After suburban London the silence is a revelation. I really enjoyed my stay at Ann’s.

  • On my last trip to Kinsale, Hurricane Ophelia hit so I couldn’t make my reservation. Clem was so helpful during that time, I knew When I was finally able to return, I’d be staying there! I was NOT disappointed in Clem’s house. As a solo traveler, the 2 biggest points of concern to me are safety and cleanliness. Clem’s place exceeded my expectations. The town itself is uber safe and Clem’s house is in an very safe neighborhood even to walk alone at night solo. Yes, there is a slight hill. It’s 5 mins from the center of town. You need that walk to burn off off all the pints and delish food you had. I didn’t have a car but he does have parking if you need it. I had my own entrance, huge master bedroom w giant walkin closet and tv w Netflix. The bathroom is right around the corner of the bedroom. Huge tub & the shower pressure was strong and water was hot. I usually just hideout in my bedroom but the real treat was upstairs. The view from the deck off the living room is beautiful. It overlooks the entire town and the water. The pics don’t do it justice. His living room & kitchen had tons of space w another tv, couches, washer & dryer, dining table and a full kitchen....complete w an American fridge and freezer AND the elusive microwave. Communication was always quick. Great tips. If you are lucky enough to be there when his band plays, I strongly suggest you go! The band was great. His house is great. The town is great. I cannot say enough good things about the house and Clem. If you are in town, do yourself a favor a stay a few nights. You will not regret it.

A warm welcome to Knockanreagh, with a cosy and charming private space in our traditional farmhouse, just 2 km outside Bandon. With its own private entrance, the room is suitable for up to 4 adults or a family, with a private shower room. Continental breakfast available on request at an additional cost. Tea and coffee making facility and small fridge for you to use. Enjoy our peaceful garden and the sense of being with nature in the surrounding countryside.
Knockanreagh was renovated about 10 years ago and the barn was converted into what is the private space adjoining the main house. It has its own private entrance and there is an outside sitting area, where you can watch the sunrise if you are up early ! Breakfast can be available outside on a nice day or in the room. You will have access to our garden and we encourage you to enjoy the surroundings, interrupted by the odd buzzard, cow or tractor. A small sitting area is within the room which can be used for extra sleeping space if needed. There is also a single floor mattress and cot if you need it. Bandon is a bustling market town on the route to West Cork, 30 minutes from Cork City centre and Cork Airport. Knockanreagh is about 2km off the main route to West Cork, approx 15 minute drive to the beach and easy access to a range of cafes, pubs and restaurants in the area. It is a great stop off point on the way to West Cork or to explore the surrounding area.
  • Wendy's place is a great little Airbnb. We stayed there with a party of three, and we were cozy with room to spare. The location is a bit off the beaten path (we drove there in the dark and we definitely missed the turn even though Wendy gave us very helpful directions). We took her up on the offer for breakfast, and the baked goods were delightful. The space was great, and Wendy was a lovely host. If we return to County Cork, we would definitely stay again.

  • Wendy's place is just outside Bandon which has great amenities and also lovely cafes and pubs. Our favorites were O'Haras bar and a small cafe called "Cracked". The room we stayed in was very comfortable and separated from the main house. The sunrise was pretty spectacular and it was so quiet! Wendy was a very attentive host and made sure we had everything we needed. We look forward to returning to west Cork again.

Bernadette, your super host, has years of experience in the service industry and will make you feel right at home. Beautiful views, tranquil area, close to the sea and Cork airport, and the local pub restaurant serves delicious food and is within walking distance.
New home with modern comforts, scenic views and located in the country.
There are plenty of outdoor activities to partake in with beautiful hill walks, and the beach nearby.
  • Quite country house with beautiful views and even though it seems remote, it is very close to Cork City, Kinsale and other areas

  • A lovely room with en-suite bathroom. Bernadette was very welcoming and we felt very at home in her beautiful house.

  • Bernadette's place is very nice, a short drive away from the Cork airport which is handy if you are arriving late. She kindly allowed us to check in late in the evening which was also great. The room is spotless and the bed was very comfy. Finding her place was a bit tricky at dark, but if you follow her instructions there should not be any problem. Overall we had a great stay, highly recommended!

    Deniz2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • The communication was great, the place is great and Bernadette is a really lovely person. I was there for one night only, had the possibility to eat dinner with Bernadette and her 2 adorable boys, and before going to bed I had a quick card game with the junger one. I loved it and recommend it!

Just 15 mins drive from Cork airport and 5 mins from Kinsale, The Plum tree Cabin is surrounded by the beautiful Irish country side. The cabin is a tiny home nested in Jagoes Mills, overlooking our green Irish rolling hills and it is ideal if you are visiting Kinsale and starting or finishing your holidays. Kinsale is one of the most beautiful towns in Ireland and it is also the start of the fabulous Wild Atlantic Way.
The Plum tree Cabin is a wooden building. It is small and cosy. The downstairs holds a kitchen and living area, as well as a generous bathroom and a storage room. The upstairs loft has a double bed, and it is typical of a tiny house with a steep step ladder as access. The Cabin is independent from the house and it has its own courtyard with table/chair and stone bench to enjoy outside the long Irish summer evenings.
The Kinsale golf club is only 2 mins from here and the Mill Wheel pub is just down the hill from us. Jagoes Mills is one of the historic sites of Kinsale. No far from here a couple of decisive battles were fought back in 1601 that determined the history of Ireland. It is a quiet and beautiful area convenient to those travelling and wanting to experience the real rural Ireland.
  • The (not so tiny) tiny house is amazing! We loved staying there and felt very at home. Everything is new and clean. Piluca is a very nice and welcoming host who offered us help and recommendations.

    Amelie2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Piluca's place with my brother and boyfriend at the end of a week long road trip in Ireland. We really did save the best for last. Not only was the cabin itself super comfy, clean, and beautiful, the location was awesome and Piluca was probably the friendliest person we met in Ireland. She gave us GREAT local tips on Kinsale which we are thankful for because we would have missed out on that otherwise. We also loved playing with her dog Rafaella. It really did feel like a home away from home for a day, and I definitely recommend staying at Piluca's place if you plan on visiting Kinsale.

    Nicole2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • I can't say enough good things about the Plum Tree Cabin and the host, Piluca. She offered a very easy check in and her directions made getting to her place a breeze. The cabin itself was adorable! We wished we could've spent more time there! Piluca also had really great suggestions on where to go to dinner and great things to do! We loved every second of our time in Kinsale!
